I was billed for six months of cloud service that I never used. I have 5 cameras and a subscription to cloud service for those 5 cameras. Yi had another cloud service account for me that I did not know about and never used. When I finally got Yi Technical Support to look into the issue (which in itself is near impossible), they did acknowledge that there were two accounts under my name and that one of them was not used. However, they refused to issue a refund for the account that was never used.

There is a problem with my cloud subscription that I paid for. Yi Technologies seems to be using COVID as an excuse why there is no phone calls being taken. I email the company THREE times and no one has reached out to me in any way to help me. Cameras are nice but they are useless without the cloud.

I would rather not give them that 1 star but I had no choice in order to write this review. On August 6, 2020 I purchased an outdoor survalience camera along with the cloud download ability. I still have not received my camera & today is September 21. 2020. I've reached out many times with no response from them. They are a terrible company.

I’ve had these cameras for a while and the $12.99/mo cloud service has stopped working the past few months. I’ve reached out to support four times and have never received a response to try to fix the situation.
I’ve read all the documentation on their site and have tried everything that I can think to try to solve the problem. No luck. In the meantime I’m still getting charged every single month for service that doesn’t work and that nobody can provide support to fix.
I’m going to reach out to Apple to request a refund for all of the months that I’ve been paying for a service that doesn’t work. These are fine if you don’t have any issues but just be aware that if you do, you won’t be able to get any help.

I had bought 6 cameras in December 2019. I moved in April of 2019 and I only have one camera that wants to work. I reached out to the IT department we have been sending a few emails back and forth and just a minute ago I get a email telling me the cameras only have a 1-2 year warranty on them and there’s nothing they can do. She told me I should buy some new ones. They never tried to help they just went straight and said buy new ones. Why would I want to do that if I just unplugged them and put them in a different house and they don’t want to work. That’s a waste of my money. Yi camera’s not worth the money.

My car was broken into while using the outdoor wires with paid services the camera caught nothing all my tools are gone but there was no connection delay the came only records 6 seconds at a time this is not long enough to catch anyone doing anything they had enough time to ram back my car standing in front of the camera but it didnt pick them up but it tells me when cars drive by there product and service is trash

Worst customer service ever, also don’t buy from YI direct if you decide to order get from amazon or anyone else. I ordered cameras but have never received them. Of course they took my money like a stripper on stage but have never received any cameras. Customer service won’t return emails and cannot find any number to call. Been a constant runaround with this company. Wished I’d never heard of them.

The customer support from YI is the absolute worst. I got a home security camera. It stopped working 4 months later. It has been a never ending run around on email from three different YI email addresses and nothing has been solved. DO NOT BUY YI PRODUCTS.

DO NOT BUY. CLOUD STORAGE SCAM.
The cameras themselves work fine, as it were. The problem is the nagware that is now the ENTIRE APP to control them. This should be reported to trading standards, as you buy a camera, to work as a camera, and they hold you hostage to use it and view it.
At first you had limited viewing and could put an sd card to save videos. They've now issued app updates that gor rid of all that, limit motion alerts to 6 seconds - and as of yesterday even that stopped working.
It's a cash for cloud storage scam. Avoid.

Beware! They don't even deserve 1 star. I bought a Kami outdoor camera with cloud service but did not get instructions on how to set up the cloud. Customer service does not respond. They took my money and no service. I will give a better review if they see this and respond to my request.

I'm blown away at how unresponsive and uninformed "Sophia" and "Rose" at their support desk continue to be. I've tried calling - so far none of my calls have been returns. Sophia and Rose only email about once a week.
It's been four weeks since I placed my order. They sent the wrong product. At first, Rose apologized for the order and that was the end of that ticket. I sent a few more emails requesting some sort of resolution. Rose then sent a message with a list of items that I would need to provide in order to move forward. I had already sent those items in my initial email.
Then Sophia contacted me with a label to return the incorrect product. I sent the product back and waited for Sophia to let me know that the correct order would be sent out. She never did and I had to prompt her twice before she said that they would try to get it out the following day. A week passed and still no confirmation. I messaged Sophia again and she said they would try to get it out the following day.
At no point did this seller offer to refund me. At no point did they respond to my request to speak to a manager. So I'm out nearly $300 and there's nothing I can do about it.
You hear about these kinds of experiences in the review pages and you think, that would never happen to me - until it does! Buyer beware!

Bought their 4K Action Camera for fishing and live streaming. First thoughts were nice video and easy to use menu. Then can the problem. I am a tech guy and thought it would be easy setting up the live streaming. I downloaded all the apps, followed all the instructions and could not get it to work. I emailed their support and to make a long story short, they wrote back saying they worked on getting the streaming correct and pretty much gave up on that option. They say, the camera does not support live streaming... WTH?! No other options or replacement offered! I am so PO'd!!!! To late to return now after emailing them and them stringing me along for almost a year! Don't buy ANYTHING from them!!! Don't believe anything they say or what their packaging says!

If I could rate this company with no stars I would. I bought a camera and it wouldn't charge, my computer didn't recognize it when it was plugged in. So I email the company with the issue. They emailed back with the info I would need to send them. I sent them the info and they got back to me with, "if you don't contact us with the information we asked for we will close this ticket and consider this case resolved". They wrote all that above the information that I had sent them. It's like they didn't even see it. Long story short my ticket is closed with No resolution to my issue. And I'm out the money and stuck with a camera that doesn't work. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought a camera on AliExpress. After receiving the camera only had purple screens. Contacted the company and it take some time, but they did what they promised send me a new camera. Afterall I`m satisfied. Also the quality from the camera I received is very good. Highly recommended company.

The products are cheap and working more or less. But the "YI Customer support" is ridiculous.
The often answering with standard phrases (reset the cam etc.) but never got something helpful information from the "support" and then setting the ticket to "solved" even nothing was done.
For me it looks like that the YI staff is not educated or understanding English.

Ordered my cameras after my son in law installed them and was pleased. No problem with the cameras but I chose the 30 day free trial for their cloud storage but they charged me immediately for it. After many emails over nearly 3 weeks they have not refunded me as they promised and are now ignoring me.

I bought two YI nightscape dashcams last month. However, one of them has some problems. Then I wrote to Yi Technical support for help. The problem was solved quickly. I am very grateful for their excellent customer service and technical support. The product is great and the quality is good. I am very satisfied with this product.

If i could give -100 i would . My cloud service stopped working i contacted yi. Although they hadn't corrected the problem they took payment out of my account. Then the more i contacted them they asked for screenshot of everything down to where i bought and copy of receipt. I did all that . Then was told i didnt have an account screenshot of payments since 2018 . As soon as that Samuel said give it 5-7 days . After going back and fourth . Now somehow Apple owes me the money they had already put in for reimbursement. Never deal with this company ever . And now i cant even use my cameras just to veiw in my home . Lawsuit ahead. If anyone would like to see these joke of emails as well as screenshots they wont let me give my email Barbara Dillon Scalia on messenger

Bought 2 home security cameras which worked fine for a few months. At one point they just disappeared from my phone so I got in touch with YI technical support and, eventually, they have agreed to exchange the cameras as still in warranty.
A different department was meant to be in touch with me shortly to arrange return of faulty goods and replacement.Haven't heard from them since.
I have emailed them a few times asking for an uodate and no response was received.
I will return these to Amazon and buy a replacement that is not going to be an YI product.

I purchased a YI Ultra Dash Camera on 27th March 2019 and I was initially satisfied with its performance until the firmware update
V-1.01.017 was performed.
It keeps on dropping its Wi-Fi connection within seconds of connecting and tends to lower the audio volume when going over road bumps (Sleeping Policeman).
I have been in touch with YI Customer support and their dealings have been appalling. They take days (not 24 hours as they specify) to answer.
They do not completely understand the problem and tend to not answer all the questions as they are ignored. Sometimes I have been waiting days for a reply, the last one was nine days! I thought they offered a two year guarantee, but they said it was only a year but they have refused return of the product.
I purchased it from e-bay (yi_technology_official) and tried this route to return the product and this seller took 42 days to respond to me, again with a confusing response.
I am now trying to get my money back via PayPal because YI Customer support tell me the following, concerning return of the product.
"Unfortunately, your camera has not been purchased from one of our official business partners like YIStore, Amazon, Aliexpress, Homedepot & Wallmart, hence, we regret to inform that we wont be able to proceed with the replacement process".
This is a typical, not understanding the customer's problem. They knew I was in the UK and wanted a refund, not a replacement.
To sum up. Do NOT purchase this product as my experience shows, poor response from both the seller and YI Customer support!
I now have a product that is siting in its box on my shelf.
I have noticed from this Trustpilot review that YI Customer support only respond to the positive reviews and not the negative ones.

I purchased a cloud service for a camera through the Itunes Store (Apple). The company overcharged me and instead of refunding the difference, cancelled my subscription and have not restored it despite me contacting them numerous times. They have told me only Apple can return the money, but Apple has told me they cannot, and that Yi Technology (in-app purchase) must be the ones to do that as the money was sent to them. I continue to be ignored by customer service and the matter is not resolved. I am disputing the charge and won't be ordering from this company again.
