Ordered my cameras after my son in law installed them and was pleased. No problem with the cameras but I chose the 30 day free trial for their cloud storage but they charged me immediately for it. After many emails over nearly 3 weeks they have not refunded me as they promised and are now ignoring me.

If i could give -100 i would . My cloud service stopped working i contacted yi. Although they hadn't corrected the problem they took payment out of my account. Then the more i contacted them they asked for screenshot of everything down to where i bought and copy of receipt. I did all that . Then was told i didnt have an account screenshot of payments since 2018 . As soon as that Samuel said give it 5-7 days . After going back and fourth . Now somehow Apple owes me the money they had already put in for reimbursement. Never deal with this company ever . And now i cant even use my cameras just to veiw in my home . Lawsuit ahead. If anyone would like to see these joke of emails as well as screenshots they wont let me give my email Barbara Dillon Scalia on messenger

I had just purchased a Yi Camera today. Everything was fine just untill I paid for a yearly subscription to the cloud service they provide.
Installation was easy.. camera was working fine. I would have given 1 5 star rating and 100% if only my subscription actually worked. Now after paying for a yearly subscription of Premium... My account states I have "NO SUBSCRIPTION"... also in my subscription management.. It stated I have "NO DEVICES" ... This is a real pi""-off .. and very frustrating. I should NEVER have paid for year subscription. Now I am down 70 dollars.. and also have no service or subscription for my device. I am really pi**ed off at how this went down. The Cloud service seems to be a disasterously complex bugged out service which simply does not work as described. After paying for the subscription.. It says it was active for one year. Now when I log out and log back in again.. it states I have NO SUBSCRIPTION.. but I am out 70 dollars after paying.. I have proof of payment and ALL I WANT TO DO NOW is get my money back. I have no more interest in this brand and will not trust it any more after such experiences. You would figure that if you pay for a subscription theat you would actually have a asubscription.. but that is not the case at YI Cloud. This is a disaster :(

An excellent customer service and technical support
I bought two YI nightscape dashcams last month. However, one of them has some problems. Then I wrote to Yi Technical support for help. The problem was solved quickly. I am very grateful for their excellent customer service and technical support. The product is great and the quality is good. I am very satisfied with this product.

I purchased a YI Ultra Dash Camera on 27th March 2019 and I was initially satisfied with its performance until the firmware update
V-1.01.017 was performed.
It keeps on dropping its Wi-Fi connection within seconds of connecting and tends to lower the audio volume when going over road bumps (Sleeping Policeman).
I have been in touch with YI Customer support and their dealings have been appalling. They take days (not 24 hours as they specify) to answer.
They do not completely understand the problem and tend to not answer all the questions as they are ignored. Sometimes I have been waiting days for a reply, the last one was nine days! I thought they offered a two year guarantee, but they said it was only a year but they have refused return of the product.
I purchased it from e-bay (yi_technology_official) and tried this route to return the product and this seller took 42 days to respond to me, again with a confusing response.
I am now trying to get my money back via PayPal because YI Customer support tell me the following, concerning return of the product.
"Unfortunately, your camera has not been purchased from one of our official business partners like YIStore, Amazon, Aliexpress, Homedepot & Wallmart, hence, we regret to inform that we wont be able to proceed with the replacement process".
This is a typical, not understanding the customer's problem. They knew I was in the UK and wanted a refund, not a replacement.
To sum up. Do NOT purchase this product as my experience shows, poor response from both the seller and YI Customer support!
I now have a product that is siting in its box on my shelf.
I have noticed from this Trustpilot review that YI Customer support only respond to the positive reviews and not the negative ones.

My camera has stopped working and the representative said it is defective. They requested details for RMA which I gave them, they have stopped responding after that.It has been 2 weeks and I messaged them again twice however they keep ignoring me.

I have 4 YI cameras, which worked fine until I got a new phone, when I changed everything's over the app changed over but had no cameras on it, so I did everything they said and got the cameras back on, but it don't have any recording to the cloud which I pay for a year. The problem is still there, the support team do get back you but keep asking the same things I keep give them the things they ask for and we are not getting any further forward. So I now hundreds of pounds of cameras plus a years subscription and not working properly.

Bought 2 home security cameras which worked fine for a few months. At one point they just disappeared from my phone so I got in touch with YI technical support and, eventually, they have agreed to exchange the cameras as still in warranty.
A different department was meant to be in touch with me shortly to arrange return of faulty goods and replacement.Haven't heard from them since.
I have emailed them a few times asking for an uodate and no response was received.
I will return these to Amazon and buy a replacement that is not going to be an YI product.

I purchased a cloud service for a camera through the Itunes Store (Apple). The company overcharged me and instead of refunding the difference, cancelled my subscription and have not restored it despite me contacting them numerous times. They have told me only Apple can return the money, but Apple has told me they cannot, and that Yi Technology (in-app purchase) must be the ones to do that as the money was sent to them. I continue to be ignored by customer service and the matter is not resolved. I am disputing the charge and won't be ordering from this company again.

Purchased YI domes (2) 1080p in 2017; multiple failures; replaced X2 and still having failures. Customer service average but their product does not hold up. Domes initially work then fail within 3 months.

“I bought my YI4K + camera on October 12, 2017, and it stopped working in August 2018.
After multiple messages and after several weeks they deigned to answer me, and told me to send the camera.
I sent it and received it on October 12, 2018. After several weeks I complained and they told me that they sent me a new one but I had to buy it again on Aliexpress, and they modified the price to 0.01 euro.
Given the poor service and communication, I tell them that I do not accept that modus operandi, and that I want them to send me my repaired camera or a new one. As usual they ignore me, do not answer the emails, and it has been 5 weeks.
I am without a camera and fearing that I will not get a solution.
This is today the after-sales service of Yi Technology, an odyssey and suffering.”

BAD customer support. They took the payment for 2 Dash cams, never sent and order confirmation and when I called their Support Line I was told I called the wrong help line for the company . I asked for the Correct number and the tech said "NO"" and hung up...repeated attempts to contact after failed as they refused to answer. I called my CC company and Immediately canceled the order DO NOT BUY!!! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

I think I'm going to be using this camera a lot. Extensive controls are easy to read in good clear english from the sreen or remotely by WiFi for your cell phone. Very handy for set and forget shooting situation in tight spaces or remote locations. Battery life is excellent, camera controls and extensive and easy to set and adjust. Camera writes MP4 video files accurately to a fast Class 10 U3 64 Gig Micro SDXC (sold separately), simultaneously writing both Hi res as well as Thumbnail clips in 11 min +/- clip-segments they can later be joined into seamless video files of any lenght in post production. Easy to learn.

I can't afford expensive camera products for a hobby that I really like these days. Having a competitive brand like YI gave me the opportunity to explore this field of art. I am liking my 4K action camera from YI so much and can't wait for the gimbal.
My mirrorless camera is so easy to use, and I didn't have to spend a fortune for it. Exploring photography and videography at a lower price. I mean, I have four kids, this is perfect for my budget.
