If you have a question on a charge they have made to your credit card, they will NOT talk to you on the phone. You can to email them at Customer NO Service or dispute the charge with your credit card company.

You know what is FASCINATING? Yext is a directory and reputation management business yet they are strategically hidden online. Their Facebook page doesn't allow reviews. They have no Google business listing to also screen reviews. Now I know why and you should too! So we are left with third party smaller platforms that luckily give people a voice to help inform future buyers.
First off, please note that you have to provide cancellation within writing 30 days prior to the end of your contract. If you do not, Article 3.1 of the "automatically renewed" contract will lock you in for another $6000+ ($3000 bi-yearly) annual fee. There is absolutely NO GRACE PERIOD to reverse the charge. So if you don't put an automatic reminder on your own calendar or renewal emails go into your spam folder, you're screwed.
When you try to request a refund 2 days after the renewal, they say "Sorry. Article 3.1 has locked you into a new contract." So shady and such a poor business model by Yext. This wasn't a customer coming to them 6 months in. They were contacted the day it was reflected on the bank statement. My advice, if you are signed up with Yext already...contact them to disable automatic renewals so that you don't end up in an expensive vicious cycle of renewing bills and renewing contracts. But my better advice is to support another service that makes honest money from people who actually need the service and doesn't have to take advantage of people. We will be looking into Moz Local, they will let you pay by client listing while Yext makes you sign up for a minimum.

I had been a customer since 2018 with all my customers using the service. I was automatically renewed in late February. I reached out to my rep to discuss and he never responded. I just concluded a three month communication with Yext's ticket system and they will not cancel my auto renewal as they claim i had inform them 30 days before renewal. Had a rep contacted me i would have. These are tough times. All my agency's clients are closed. I had cancelled each individual client account with Yext. I offered to pay one month as a compromise but they will not accept. I just told them to terminate my account completely and will never work with them again. I assume i will see them in court. What a poor way to treat a customer. There are plenty of other services out there.

After reading these previous comments and reviews regarding Yext, I've gotta say that I'm considering starting a class action lawsuit against Yext and how they operate. I truly believe there is some form of extortion going on here. Also, Yext has partnered with Yahoo, which makes it difficult to get control of your own listing. They will not assist you if you don't pay them. They have a monopoly on directories and as a business owner can't do much about it.
And as a previous reviewer mentions, it's true, it is interesting that Yext barely has an online presence, when online reputation is the service that they claim to offer.
I don't even know where to start except that Yext has hijacked my client's listings. They will not let you have control and although they have me in a contract for the year for $2000 and will not release me from it, I've pulled all my clients from their platform.
The Yext service is meant to help you get your clients NAP listed correctly on local and relevant directories, 6 months later in a contract with Yext and all of my clients still have numerous directory listings that are incorrect.
At this point I'm wondering what exactly I'm paying for? Seriously, what am I paying for when this is the only service that they offer, and my clients still have many inconstant listings?
In addition, on more occasions than one the Yext platform has jumbled up all of my client's information. By this I mean, every client account that I had listed with Yext was pushing out info associated with other client accounts.
Ex. GMB listings of my clients would have a completely different businesses website and or company description info or contact information, from other clients of mine listed with Yext. I KID YOU NOT! This is the complete opposite of what I'm paying them for. I've had to spend hours of my own time correcting this, only for it to happen again.
I sent numerous emails with details and links to Yext support and my account manager regarding this, asking for help and for explanation and nobody was ever able to help me or explain. They dropped the ball both times. Nobody could provide an explanation. They left me on my own to correct it and manage it. Yext support has been disappointing on every inquiry since being in partnership with them, except once.
Another bit of information to point out is that I get numerous weekly emails informing me that portions of the Yext platform are down. I mean these are regular notifications. I just got two, right now.
Yext is seriously the worst. I would not recommend this company/or service to anyone. I consider this review a public service announcement, hoping I can save some other business owner from falling into the trap that I did with Yext.
Again, I am a paying customer of theirs and feel that partnering with Yext is the worst business decision I've ever made. There are several other tools out there that will do what Yext does, that are far more professional, efficient and successful in getting the job done.

I went to Fazolis for lunch and I received the absolute best customer service I have ever had there. The lady whom I assume was the manager brought color pages to our kids refilled our drinks took our dishes and brought us breadsticks. This is the place to be if you want excellent service it is well worth the stop in. Thank you Fazolis

It has been the best marketing decision that I have made since in 2014. It has improved the marketing of my program by 100%, and every year it is worth the investment. It's a great system for any business, and yours too.

After a year since I signed up there is absolutely no improvement in my online presence. Save your money and setup accounts on Yelp, Google etc. yourself.

Yext manages Yahoo's search engine. For month's now they have listed my business hours incorrectly. Trying to reach someone who can fix that is so far for me impossible. Yahoo directs you to Yahoo's own website who then after a few frustrating phone calls directs you to Yext. After a pleasant text interaction they were able to direct me to register to claim the free listing. Easy enough however they don't have a place to enter business hours unless you pay them. They stopped texting me when I declined to upgrade and puchase the service. I might have looked at their product if they had been willing to help me with my issue.

I normally wouldn't leave such a horrible review of an online business but I do wed development as well as SEO and this is just a bunch of poop. They list you in web sites that almost no one uses, some of the sites where actually going out of business until they were placed in the Yext arena.
It's a scam. If it was a good thing they wouldn't constantly send out huge amounts of SPAM begging and attempting to have people purchase.
Web Developers and SEO specialists do not use them, if you were the average Joe or business don't waste your time....
Let me put it this way. If it wasn't for the amount of SPAM you get from them you wouldn't even know they exist. It proves how useless they are.

This company tries to get you to sign up with them. They don't do what they promise in the first place, and if you ever leave them all the listings they've created for you are owned by YEXT so, If you ever need to update or remove this listing in the future, you CAN'T! You are stocked and there is nothing you can do! In addition to that, you not getting a customer support if you are not paying this company, they act like jerks if you are not their customer anymore.

Every time I speak with one of their reps, it seems I get nothing but grief. I was recently on a conference call with 4 of them. They promised to finally combine my 2 accounts that I've repeatedly requested for 3 years now. I also told them I was not interested in buying blocks to save money and was happy with my buy as I sign clients up. What did they do? Well, without notifying me, without first invoicing me, without any communication whatsoever, they charged my credit card $12,973.33. So sick of their games.

Nothing is life is free, but should I have to pay for nothing? I literally want nothing from Yahoo and Yext, yet seemingly have to pay to achieve that goal. Yahoo has a local business listing for my company that has our products incorrectly categorized. I just need it fixed, or deleted.
It's free to submit a change through Yext, but no guarantee Yahoo will approve and implement it. I could find no way to just request my business be removed, so I submitted a change/correction. When I submitted this change, Yahoo implemented a typo I inadvertently made, but did not implement the actual changes we desired regarding the product description. Status of my account is still listed as 'submitted'. This is telling!
[email protected] has conveniently avoided answering my request to just remove my listing altogether, and has defaulted to the same canned response we all get... that I can make corrections on my dashboard but that "there is no guarantee that Yahoo will accept this information and implement a change since this is a free account."
My dashboard is correct. The listing is not. Yahoo will fix it if you pay, won't if you don't. I don't want to pay for a service I don't need, so it seems like the right thing to do to allow it to be deleted as I didn't put it there in the first place, but I seemingly can't unless I pay. Is this not like being held hostage? Maybe even the textbook definition of blackmail.
I see the reviews for Yext are mostly 5's or 1's, so it's like all or nothing with them. How do I just get to nothing....

It's a shame that our company even has to take the time to write this review, but after looking at the others it seems to be a consistent pattern of how Yext deals with their clients and try to keep you on a contract that they didn't even fulfill.
We were left hanging for weeks to learn the program and receive help from their "experts" yet - they fail to deliver. We decided to test on our own and luckily we were able to manage it briefly.... but afterwards noticed the value was something we could do ourselves and didn't feel the need to proceed forward.
Were hoping our company's review will be taken seriously for anyone to consider them and be sure to write more reviews on other platforms until Yext can come to an agreement with us.

The subscription did not do a damn thing for our web visibility. Here is the info on our Analytics from YEXT:
"There is no data in the range you have selected.
If your account is new, wait a few weeks for data to become available.
Otherwise, try changing your selections above."
This is the response after 11 months of service.

If you ever want to control your business information that Yext helps publish, you will always have to pay them. They cannot even help correct information on directories they exclusively represent.

Austin, Luka, Mia, and Fred (just to name a few) consistently make me look like a rock star to my external and internal clients. The Yext support team is truly the best I've ever encountered and I sincerely recommend Yext to anyone thinking about becoming a Yext Partner!
