Purchased bath towels for a bridal gift. Requested gift wrapping. Towels arrived - no gift wrap. Per WS customer service, returned towels and they will replace with gift wrap. Second order arrived - no gift wrap. Sent second order back for a refund to my VISA. Yesterday I received a gift card in the amount of the towels I purchased. I requested a refund to my VISA and was sent a WS gift card. Called WS. They cancelled the gift card and said they would credit my account. I am prepared to take WS to Court if my account is not credited accordingly. What a horrible and frustrating experience.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Poorly trained personnel barely able to provide information. Are these people working from home after a short training session? Shipping of items is a mess. I'm still waiting for items that show as being shipped and complete but in fact I am missing the glass pieces to tables I ordered. Now being told that they have to reorder and I should expect delivery in about 3-4 weeks.
I have yet to speak with a supervisor because none is every available. I am placed on hold until eventually the call mysteriously drops.

Had a 6 month old pressure cooker and the insert started to chip, called customer service añd they did not have the part to send out and it was beyond the return period. No solution was offered. Like just throw it out Jack! Finally bought a replacement insert on Amazon. Like why did I ever buy from WS in the first place?

Very bad customer service and online service that this company has been provided.
I ordered a wok since March of 2019 but never arrived. I have been receiving mails from the customer service that kept cancelling my order without noticed me that the delivery date needed to be postponed. The only reason I could think of why I never received this wok is because they put the price up of this wok after I placed my ordered, may be that why my wok never arrived. Also I went to Chatswood store few months ago and I saw there was a wok in stock. That why I don't understand they could not ship my wok out.
This morning when I rang up the customer service , they told me the delivery date has to be postponed again, which is very bad online service as they didn't email me again.
Given that there are multiple times of postpone and delays. It very obvious that they do not want to honour the purchase and just want to drag along til customer give up their rights and they can make more profit and violate the contract of a legal purchase that I went through the proper channel to buy.

It is a giant mistake buying anything from William Sonoma on line. Two years in a row, I purchased Christmas gifts on line with the promise of a delivery before the holiday and they not only didn’t deliver but they neglected to let me know that the items were delayed. Calling customer service was a complete waste of time. The person on the phone could not have cared less. These were not inexpensive things that were being purchased and I certainly expected not only better service but a better attitude.

Sadly, this company continues to evolve into the poorest retailer ever. From ordering to fulfillment and delivery, there are problems that seem to stem from lack of employee training to downright laziness on the part of staff and management. After receiving so many damaged goods due to poor packaging and having so many backorder issues on others, I decided to write their president. I got an assortment of lemon soap products for my time with a two word sorry card attached. I doubt they will take the time to correct their issues and I know I no longer do anything but trash their catalogues when they arrive.

I ordered a white three piece pie plate set for my married daughter. It arrived quickly via free ground shipping. I am very pleased with the way they look. Exactly as depicted on their site. She had a pie plate from Pottery Barn that I had chipped because apparently their glazed bakeware is supposed to be hand washed! Huh? I went back to Pottery Barn to get her a replacement and what do you know - that line was discontinued. I can't help but think it's because the glaze chipped off way too easily. Anyway total for the W-S came to under $48. I am very pleased to have found these and will be even happier to present them to my daughter - an excellent pie maker!

Ordered a $150 bath robe for wife - the red trimmings on it bled like someone committed hari-Kari in it after 1 wash. Unacceptable for an Old Navy Tee let alone a $150 bath robe. Returns were a nightmare - brought to the WS store in Chelsea and was basically laughed at for buying such a bad quality item - from them! No help returning the item in store and had to go to UPS, pay extra $10 to ship back. Easily the worst shopping and return experience I’ve ever had. All the millions spent on advertising is hollow when it comes to product quality and customer service. F- and avoid at all costs.

One star review. I rate this experience as unacceptable because I have called Williams Sonoma (hereafter WS) six times and each time I called, I have been ignored or passed to someone else.
My issue was trying to ascertain what brands are eligible for the 20% off when one signs up for the WS credit card. The first time I called I was told that one particular brand I was interested in, Demeyere, was not included in this offer. Then, I called back to verify this and the rep mentioned that Demeyere IS included because on the website in the Terms and Conditions area for the credit card, Demeyere is not listed there as an exclusion. Then, I called back a third time and received yet another different answer. The fourth time I called I tried to speak with a supervisor. They transferred me to the credit card area (a totally different company, by the way). They (the credit card company) said they don’t deal with discounts so they transferred me back to the WS side. I asked to speak with a supervisor again and then they hung up on me. I called back and this time they put me on hold to speak with a supervisor. After approximately six minutes, I was informed that a supervisor would call me back since they can’t have me wait for longer than five minutes. I never received a call back. I called back the next day and the same thing all over again until I just gave up.
I still would like to purchase from WS but if this is an indication of what is to come in my dealings with this company then I will pass, no thank you.

Williams Sonoma has sold me many household items. I find the quality is commensurate with the price and the shipping is prompt. The website is easy to use. I would recommend them to others who buy household items on line.

I cannot say enough about my experience both online and in store. I needed to make an exchange from an online order and they didn’t have what I wanted in store. Without question, they ordered what I wanted, and had it shipped priority.

While expensive, you get what you pay for. WS will ship almost anywhere and they have the best customer service since Nordstroms. I love their products and everything about this site.
