I was told the managing director was going to call ASAP 2 days ago and still waiting for that also am still waiting for my money or my computer back having started this whole process at the end of April!!!! Customer service is shocking and I do not recommend this company under any circumstances!! 1 star is too much in my opinion!! As a result of this I have lodged an online compliant with the Insolvency Service!!

Start of the process was encouraging. Was given a good competitive offer for my laptop.Shipping my laptop to them was easy with prepaid postage etc. Was advised by email on 13th June 2017 that the device had been checked, all was OK and payment would be processed within 48 hours. No payment has been forthcoming. Have tried to contact again by email but no response. Also tried by phone but could only leave messages and no response there either. The website has a message stating they have IT issues. Surely for an IT company this should have been sorted by now? I am NOT impressed and will be reporting them to Trading Standards if not paid VERY soon.
** Update 17/07/17 ** Following the complete lack of communication I happened to be in the vicinity of Newcastle a couple of weeks back so I decided to pay this business a visit. On arrival we found that the premises were locked up. Talked to a business owned next door and was informed that Mr. Baldwin (the proprietor of We Buy Any Computers) was in hospital. While we were there a colleague of Mr Baldwin arrived and advised that due to various difficulties the business was being gradually wound up. He admitted there was a backlog but they were trying to work through and to pay all outstanding customers. Not sure how they are doing with this. I requested payment there and then and received in cash the amount I was quoted online and an apology for the delay and lack of communication. The guy had to go to a cashpoint though. At the time of visiting (06/07/17) the website was still up although I was advised it was not accepting new transactions. I note that it has now been taken down. Hopefully they are good to their word and do pay all outstanding creditors who have sent them computers.

The company seems to be responding to these reviews more frequently than emails or calls, so I can only hope leaving a review will help me receive my money. There was an initial mix up with my laptop, mistaking it for another, which I had to ring to sort out. An advisor promised me my transfer on the 3rd June, but still nothing 7 weeks later after many, many attempts to contact them with no response.
Lots of the reviews have responses saying this is not common practise - well, it looks to me as if it is. Needs to be sorted ASAP.

Sold my laptop to this company weeks ago, they collected the parcel, and the person who collected it was extremely rude saying my item was not packed properly. Then my offer was lowered, which I still accepted, and have still not received any payment. Ive emailed them multiple times to no response, shocking service and no payment!

I have reported them to the police, Trading Standards and posted all over Facebook about them. I have now also reported them to BBC Watchdog and Rogue Traders. Too late for me but hope it helps others.
Unfortunately you cannot give minus stars.
I am currently in the process of reporting this company to the police and to Trading Standards.
They received my laptop on 1st June and after 2 weeks I chased them. I then received an email saying I would receive payment in the next few days. STILL WAITING! I have also asked for the laptop to be returned if payment cannot be made
Wish I had read these reviews first. I have a feeling this company is a total scam.

It had been over two weeks now without any response. I now understand they are experiencing huge issues with their computer and phone systems which is causing sleepless nights. I hope they resolve them soon because when they called me to sort it out and apologise, I was paid immediately. Thank you

Sent my computer and accepted revised quote 2 weeks ago . Did not receive money so phoned 10 days ago and was told computer problem , money would be paid immediately. Still not received and have left a message and emailed twice and had no reply. Would strongly recommend you avoid this company, go elsewhere. Have used others in the past and had no issues.

Sent laptop in April. Confirmed on their website that they have received this. Following many many emails and phone calls with no answer I have had no payment.
Informed them I have notified National Fraud and Cybercrime reporting centre.
I have now noted their website has gone.

Just as I have seen other users, so far I have had a really bad experience with this company. I have sent my computer 3 weeks ago via Royal Mail, when tracking the order I can see has arrived 3 days after being sent; but still to date I haven't received any type of contact from 'We buy any computers' although I have been chasing the issue via phone (just an answer machine) and sent various emails searching for an answer about where is my computer or the money. I really hope the computer hasn't been lost!
This case has still not been resolved. I have had no contact from the company since 6th June when they emailed me to tell me that they have lost my laptop!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I believe I have now been conned. Avoid at all costs. Got my Quote on the 19th June, posted laptop on the 20th June and delivered 22nd June (Confirmed via post office Tracked Delivery). I have called daily and left message, I have emailed them, I have messaged them through their Facebook page and contacted via their web site. They have completely ignored me. Also, their tel number is an 0844 number so I believe they are also getting paid for every call made to them. An out and out con in my opinion.

After more unanswered calls, emails and messages I now note that the website has been taken down, Facebook page no longer exists and twitter has been deactivated.
I now leave this in the hands of trading standards, the police and my solicitor.
After several more emails, countless unanswered calls and online forms filled in, I have still received no form of resolve.
When checking companies house, the company is still active and the registered owner and director is Tony Baldwin. He can be found on Facebook by typing the name tonybaldwin119 into the search bar.
If anyone needs direct contact, this would be another way to gain answers.
Experience so far, is dreadful.
Sent laptops off on 19th of June, not heard anything since. Tracking still says the same thing as it did when I first started. I have rung 10+ times, all times leading to me hanging up after being on hold for 15+ mins. Email's ignored also.
I would like some resolve, its such a shame, as I picked this company over larger businesses to support it.
Very, very unhappy customer.

Sent them my laptop, received a confirmation of receipt within 2 days - so far so good. Then didn't hear for a week, so emailed them to ask what happened. They claimed there were problems with the Wifi so I explained where the Wifi switch was, and said that if they couldn't get it to work I'd accept a small reduction in payment. Didn't hear for another 3 weeks so emailed them again, this time no reply.

Avoid at all costs. I accepted the quot on 1st June, laptops picked up on the 14th June and delivered 16nd June (Confirmed via Courier and e-mail form them).
Since then I have called daily and left messages, I have emailed them and even messaged them through their Facebook page. They have completely ignored me. Also, their number is an 0844 number so are also getting paid for every call made to them.
Quite simply avoid these guys at all costs

This is an update to my previous review. It's over 4 weeks now and still no payment. I did can a Paypal cheque sent to my account however 2 days before it was due to clear this co pant cancelled it.
A so called manager (John) phoned and left a voicemail telling me there were Paypal problems and I was to phone him back. And guess what, you can't get through.. when you do get through they fob you off telling you a manager will definitely phone you back today.. guess what, they don't.
Today alone I have been on hold for about 90 minutes during various different calls. The number I have had success getting them on is 01919085913, you'll sometimes get an answer on there but they are good at fobbing you off.
I have sent in excess of 12 emails and no response, I have messaged them on Facebook, which they have read but still no response.
I find it very hard to believe that the number of positive reviews in the last few days on trust pilot are genuine because hands down this has to be the worse company I have ever had dealings with.. save your selves and give this company a wide birth

Had an email confirming a payment would be made within 48 hours. 8 working days later and still no payment has been received. I've called the contact number multiple times and been on hold for 10+ mins each time without getting through to someone. I've sent 6-8 emails with no response and even filled out a page on the website for then to contact with no response. Absolutely appalling customer service. It seems like I'm not the only one being affected by the same issue so I would advise to avoid this company.

Webuyanycomputers confirmed receipt of my device and that it had passed their checks on the 2nd May. As of the 22nd May, I've yet to receive payment, cannot get an answer on their 0844 phone lines (that don't have a free alternative) and haven't had a response to multiple emails.
I did get an answer whilst calling, once, upon which the man on the phone assured me my money would be paid that day. This was 7 days ago and I've received nothing - and I asked him to confirm my payment details on the phone just to make sure that it wasn't getting returned.
*****EDIT:**** I have not received any communication from Webuyanycomputers as promised apart from their message in response to this review, but they did eventually pay me the money they offered me. I understand that mitigating circumstances happen, I'm not unreasonable, but the communication was atrocious. I also never got any reimbursement for the calls I made to their premium phone line or for the inconvenience caused by the late payment - if this had occured then this may have gone from a 1 star to a 3 star. As it stands, it's gained a star for finally paying up and not being a scam.
