I am really sorry to have to do this as I adore the Studio Tour itself and have been many times but I have to give an awful review for the gift ticket and customer service.
I was bought a gift ticket last year for my birthday and I have had nothing but problems with it. It was purchased so I could book to go to Hogwarts in the Snow, but the only ways to redeem the ticket is to use the online form or to ring, as they haven't managed to build a system to redeem it online. I didn't want to ring initially as I knew it would take a long time to get through and I don't have the time. I used the online form but never heard back. I rang and they had no knowledge of my form request, so it doesn't work but the customer service rep didn't seem to care. Then all the weekend dates I wanted were "sold out" (my partner and myself work full time during the week so needed weekend dates), when they weren't when I first contacted them and had to settle with a date I did not want, hoping we could get time off work. I was told I should have booked 3 months in advance if I wanted the dates I wanted. I tried to but Warner Bros failed me.
We were then contacted to move our date due to a closedown because of government guidance for Coronavirus. You had to fill out another form and select the dates you wanted and I again expressed that I needed weekend dates. I was then not given any of the dates I wanted as again "sold out" and when expressed again that I need weekend dates the same thing happened. Eventually I managed to get a date I was happy with within the event dates of Hogwarts in the Snow.
This was then cancelled due to another closedown 2 days before I was due to go. I decided enough was enough and asked for a full refund so I could decide myself when I wanted to go and rebook in the future. I have just been informed that I can't have the full refund as the gift tickets were shipped out to me in the presentation box (that is way over priced! Do not waste your money!). This is ridiculous and has completed tainted my view of this company now and is putting me off going back. I was so excited to be able to go again but now with the way they have treated a regular customer, I am very upset and will be hesitant about giving money to this company in the future.
This is a real shame as I absolutely love Harry Potter and love the Studios.
Just a word of warning, don't ever buy gift tickets, just give someone the money directly. Customer Service really don't care about you.

Visited on 13th Feb 2020, we were a family of 7 , one of our party my daughter has autism, sensory and communication needs and extremely high anxiety, when we had collected our tickets there was a big que to get into the tour, we had come prepared with ear defenders, fiddle toys and her sunflower lanyard but a member of staff instantly called us over and let us straight in as he was organising 2 school groups in the other que, when you go to where the tour starts you go into a room and after that a cinema room, unfortunately we couldn't manage this as the room is very dark and can get very busy, I asked a member of staff if we could enter the tour without the need for going into the rooms and we were instantly taken behind the scenes, the member of staff was amazing talking to my daughter even though she didn't get much interaction back from her she was so happy and friendly, she waited untill the tour party had left and let us go straight to the doors of the great hall while no one was in there so my daughter didn't miss out in being able to open them !! We went into the great hall and she stayed with us and then went to get us an autism guide book which is an absoulte god send !! It has details of every room and what to expect and I would thourougly recommend picking one up if you are visiting the tour with anyone who has extra needs, it details ways around if you cannot manage a certain room due to lighting or noise, The part where you can fly a broom gets extremely busy and we walked over to see to be greeted by yet another member of staff who said if my daughter wanted to experience it she would take us straight to an end booth so no que involved, it was amazing as my daughter didn't have to endure queing which she finds extremely difficult and as we were put in a end booth she had no one seeing her which was fantastic !! When we stopped for lunch we went to see the sensory room, the cafe can get hugely busy and very noisy but we sat outside which has hp music playing in the background and has privet drive and the knight bus amongst other things, she was happy sitting at a table next to the knight bus and eat her butterbeer ice cream ? Every member of staff we encountered was polite, happy, knowledgeable and so courteous, I just want to praise this place for all they doing when it comes to autism/ special needs and I think a lot more company's could learn a lot from visiting here and seeing what they do !! Usually days out are a rare opportunity for us as it's usually full of meltdowns and stress and not worth putting her or us through it all, This was the most happiest, stress free, enjoyable day that we managed as a family and made some wonderful amazing memories all thanks to the staff being knowledgeable of special needs and the company putting things in place to accommodate it, I cannot rate it high enough for this, amazing place, amazing things to see, amazing staff and I can't wait to return!!

Was suppose to go to the studios this evening but due to train delays of over two hours could not make it for the 18:00 slot we had booked! MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to Melissa on the phones for sorting us a new tour time for tomorrow instead, she was really understanding, very helpful and such excellent customer service! On the train was a family aswell from Switzerland and after dealing with us she helped them aswell get themselves sorted! Soo happy I still get to visit the studios tomorrow! Very excited! But now rest up cause we’ve just got in! Took nearly 5 hours to get home!

One of the most surreal experiences ever for any Harry Potter fans! I truly enjoyed every part of it. Be ready for some tears though, it's overwhelming how much work goes into your favourite film and book series!

I had an absolutely amazing time on my trip to the the Harry Potter studio tour! Everything I imagined and more, I went as an adult and left like a child again; the tour really reminds you of what a wonderful world J K Rowling provided for us all them years ago. The whole experience was just magical, perfect for everyone any time!

This is a fabulous tour and worth the admission fee. Warning though, 4 stars are marked to show disappointment in the charges for green room and shop prices. Given J K Rowlings humble beginnings I expected a little more understanding.

I've experienced both the tour and used their online shop, and I'm very pleased with both. I, at first thought the tour was a bit expensive, but after being there, it was well worth the money, and I'm strongly considering coming back!
Regarding their online shop: because my order had to be shipped abroad, the shipping price was quite high, but it was shipped only hours after I purchased my items (and this was on a sunday!). It arrived quickly, and I would for sure recommend using it.
