i know by now that some payday loans are better than others... the best in the market for me are: MR LENDER, 247 MONEYBOX, CASHASAP, SAFETY NET CREDIT...the worst from my previous experience are: MYJAR, PEACHY LOANS(dodgy company based in LITHUANIA not UK), WAGEME, OAKAM...Amazing service provided...Not only they got through my application carefully, they replied by 12pm when i made the application at 5am same day!! They replied to me by email and sms...Which is nice...they couldn't give me the full amount i applied for but at least they didn't refuse right away my application like one of the worst company around:MYJAR!! thank you WDA!! I haven't yet accepted your offer but still...you gave me a great service when i needed it so thanks for that!!

Complete joke when I comes to customer service ... made a complaint and have now waited 13 weeks on an outcome... when you phone the complaints team you effectively just get cast aside and told to wait on an email ... do not use . Stay well away

They have gone bust. Theres a surprise. Rip off!!!. Regulated by no one. Allowed to rip people off for years. All these companys should be shut down and banks forced to lend to people with poor credit history. These companys only kept going for so long because banks wont lend money to people but they are happy to take tax payers money when there irrisponsable. Banks caused this.

i have been waiting for my final response to my complaint for over 6 months now i had a email saying i would get my final response by february before the end now we’re near the end and still no response
email after email saying they need to exstend my complaint.
very disappointed and frustrated.
all the information from borrowing to lending is all there for them to see it’s not hard to look.
i understand they have a back log but my complaint was put in over 6 months ago

Very pleased with wage day advance. Paid a couple of loans of with them now, and just taken out a third one. They have no problem in lending, has long as you make repayments on time. I suppose that would be the same with any money lender.

Complete and utter joke. This company uses deliberate delay tactics, and treat customers as if they’re nothing. They promise to get back to you by a certain date, which they do(8 weeks) But that’s just to tell you they’ll get back to you by another date (Another 8 Weeks). Then again they need more time (Another 8 weeks) This time they don’t give you a date, and just say as soon as possible. Will this be Another 8 weeks???? Terrible!
So it’s looks like they just set a reminder to tell you they can’t help you every 8 weeks!!!! We’re not stupid, no way on earth does a complaint takes that long!

This company is literally making me feel depressed!
They have been chasing me for money after I’ve been paying... they closed my account, no access to my online account, no updates when my payments were made and no help when you call support! It’s just “oh log into your account online” when I say I can’t they are surprised but not helping!
I feel like they keep taking my money and as I’m currently going through serious problems this is tipping me over the edge!
Do not approach this company, they can wreck your life, health and not to mention finances.
I intend to take this further.

Having now got to the end of this process I am able to give a more balanced review.
My complaint was finally looked at, and was partially upheld. A result I was happy with, and the investigation was explained clearly.
It did take an extremely long time to reach this point. It is difficult to wait and wait, but I am inclined to believe that the company are actually trying to get through the heavy workload, and that is the reason for the delays (as tough as that is to take). I know that it feels like the company is trying to avoid dealing with complaints and delay things, but as I say, I don't personally think that they are.
My redress was paid to me within the estimated timescales, exactly 7 working days after the offer was made.
Overall, I couldn't really give Wageday Advance more than a 3, because I did have reason to complain to begin with, and the complaint took a long time to be resolved, but ultimately it was resolved, and on reflection, I was communicated with, even if I did not really like the message of delays that was given.

After making a complaint to them about irresponsible lending I received a follow on email on 5th December saying they would reply in full within 10 days or if they couldn’t meet this they would notify me within 10 days. It is currently 5th Feb and I still have not had a response so it’s 8 weeks and counting. It looks like this one will be going to the Financial Ombudsman which is a real shame as this ends up being a long drawn out process for both sides and also costs them more in costs. It’s a shame they act like this. I had exactly the same complaint with Uncle Buck and to be fair refunded me within 2 weeks as they do all they can to resolve it and do not want a complaint made through the Ombudsman.
Update 6/2/19- still no response despite them reading the review, they clearly do not give a toss about getting back to customers or working within the guidelines. I wouldn’t advise people to use this company, there are much better, professional lenders out there.
Update 7/2/19 - still no response.

Raised a complaint back in August and unfortunately WDA were not able to provide a response within the recommended 8 weeks and asked for a further 8 weeks to consider. They then requested two further extensions and on all occasions kept me informed and also advised me of my right to refer to the ombudsman. I chose not to do this and instead allowed them the additional time they had requested and decided to be patient. If I have emailed them for an update I have always received a response within several days. Last Thursday I received their final response which answered my complaint in detail and I found their response to be very thorough and fair. We were able to reach an amicable solution and a settlement was agreed. I was told I would receive the funds within 5-7 working days of accepting and I can confirm that the funds were received in the timescale promised. Overall I have found WDA very reasonable to deal with and I am pleased that we were able to reach an amicable agreement without the need to take matters further.

I have used wda a couple of times due to needing some quick easy emergancy cash and thats exactly what i got, if i ring the calls are akways answered fast and by someone who cant do enough to help, the website is easy and the cashe is normally in the bank within the hour.

Hi Alice I appreciate your response, however when customers are receiving responses to their complaints which were raised months after mine, I have to question whether the department even knows what is going on.

Very disappointed - extremely slow service and process of refunds. Given that I filled my complaint in March 2018, it’s only now, nearly a year on, that my complaint has been resolved, but that’s only because I passed on my complaint to the FOS. However the actual process of receiving a refund has been further delayed by WDA. It takes a long time for them to get in touch after all is accepted and then there is further delay in payout once you confirm all your details. I’ve had two more complaints with different companies and the response received from them was so much faster, both week or less from acceptance to payout. It’s very disappointing to see WDA dragging this out for as long as possible. I’ll have no choice but to wait now I suppose until the last promised payment date, however reading some of the other reviews I wouldn’t count on it and looks like I’ll have to chase WDA, once again. Please be careful when dealing with WDA. They ask for your patience but that could mean up to a year!

When all is said and done they are a payday loan company with all that that entails. However they are easy to do business with and contactable by phone (you get to speak to a real UK based person) if you need to discuss any problems you may have.

Terrible. I raised a complaint over 9 weeks ago and I have received no meaningful contact, other than automatic emails.
I am now raising the complaint with the financial ombudsman as I feel I have no other way of having a response or contact from WDA.
Very disappointed with their service.
