This review is for the Valvoline located at 11755 Rousby Hall Rd, Lusby, MD 20657. I stopped in when I had an issue with my car and the staff, to include Clinton, were helpful, quick and professional. I highly recommend using this place for your car needs. The customer service is outstanding!

Overpriced and then I was overcharged. They ran out of conventional oil and didn’t inform me, while I waited for over an hour in line to get in.
They overfilled my tires to 35, when they should be 30pounds. There was too much oil when I checked it at home. They tried to up sell things like brake fluid- that I had already had changed a week prior- so I KNOW was not needed. They robbed me of time and money and then refused to Fix their mistakes. They also lied about who the current manager was on the phone. AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!

The service was absolutely wonderful. They were friendly helpful and very educational. The cost was very reasonable and my whole experience took less than 10 minutes. I will go there again and again.

My name is Jamie Campbell, and I was in Valvoline 1200 Plainfield Ave Ne for an oil change on March 24. On Wednesday April 15, I made it half way to my morning work commute, and broke down on the side of the road. I called to have my car towed to an Auto Shop, and Thursday morning got a call saying "Your engine is totally shot, your engine was bone dry, and your vehicle is beyond repair."
Thursday evening I opened my car garage, and saw the Valvoline oil filter, and all my car oil on my garage floor.
When I called yesterday morning on April 17th, the manager seemed indifferent and uninterested in what I had to say, and told me he would call me back. It is now April 18th and I have not heard a word back yet.
My car was perfectly fine, and now I have to make arrangements to get it towed to a junk yard.
I am a nurse, and can not afford to be without a vehicle.

Don't make the same mistake I did! Within ten minutes of leaving this shop, my engine failed - a $3,500 repair bill. The shop admitted to using the wrong oil plug, but refused to take responsibility for the damage.
Worse yet, they tried to make me pay $900 in 'diagnostics' while telling my service department that they wouldn't cover anything, no matter what the diagnostics said.
I was surprised at their dishonesty, but even more surprised that Valvoline the company refused to hold them accountable as well. If this is how one of their shops is run, avoid them all!

This business stripped my oil pan, causing me to require a full replacement, which cost more than $900 at the dealership. They stated because I was outside of the 6 month and 3000 mile warranty they could not do anything to assist. I escalated as high as they would allow and got the same response. They suggested attempting to repair it, which the dealer recommended against. It is not worth the small savings and few minutes of your time, take your business elsewhere.

I took my BMW for a full synthetic oil change in Dec. 2019 in Hamburg, Lexington, Kentucky. I am skeptical with their service, so i tried to watch it very closely. I make sure they change the oil. They have a small monitor where you can watch the oil being drained underneath, BUT the monitor is extremely blured you can't tell if they drained the oil or not. The point is they are full of s...t. I then watch the guy carrying an oil container kind off ready to change my oil. The guy on the driver side destructed me by showing me the bill, the moment i took my eyes off that guy carrying an oil container, in a split second i notice he was finished replacing the oil. I am not happy bc that was too quick replacing the oil and I couldn't tell if they replace it or not bc for BMW there's no way to check the oil integrity physically. We can check level digitally, but you can't see if the oil has been changed. Also, they reset my oil change indicator for a month bc it started to come on, on my dash board. So they took my money and did not change my oil. NEVER TRUST THIS MOFFO EVER AGAIN...I JUST WANT TO SHARE THIS REVIEW NATIONWIDE. VALVOLINE STINKS..DON'T EVER GO THERE.
This is the second time they did it. A year ago on a different car, i came in to changed my oil and after a few days later i checked the oil and it was dark, so i took the car back and demanded either they change my oil and give my money back.
I checked the review stat and 70% of the review were bad. Tells us their service stinks.

My BMW was out of warranty so I took it to Valvoline to get oil replaced. Car was leaking oil afterwards. Took it back twice and just got worse. I even bought a new plug and had them replace the one they installed. After two visits and still leaking, I took my car to BMW repair shop who told me the pan was damaged and needed replaced. After replacement it still leaked. It only stopped leaking after correct oil was put in car. That oil change cost me $1400. The wrong oil was put into car which caused the issue. Valvoline customer service is very responsive but believes they put the recommended oil in car. DON’T TAKE PERFORMANCE CARS TO VALVOLINE.

These guys drained my transmission fluid instead of the oil from my Ford Explorer 2014 and double filled my
Oil. They said they have video of draining my transmission fluid but are refusing to fix my transmission. I drove my vehicle home and destroyed my transmission, but the manager Said they’d “buy me a used transmission” to replace my perfectly
Good transmission that they destroyed. Don’t go here. If they make a mistake, they don’t make it right. Also, they don’t know how to change oil....and they’re an oil change place... like really...you’ve got one job, this is an oil change place that doesn’t know how to change oil. Go somewhere else.

Been to the Mentor location at least 3 or 4 times in the past. Never, ever has it been over 60 dollars for a full synthetic oil change. $105.00!!! There had to have been 5 different people under my hood. Not counting the people underneath my car. Never, ever going there again. And I'm spreading the word to EVERYONE I know to NEVER go there. My fault for going there without doing my research.

I usually get my oil changed here because it’s fast and easy, and they have a lot of locations everywhere. My only complaint is that they’re always trying to upsell me on cabin filters, windshield wipers and a few other things I don’t need. Other than that it’s a good service.

I never have a problem with Valvoline. The mechanics are courteous and helpful. In my most recent experience they checked my car even though they were full with 4 cars and they torqued my tires for free! Fantastic service!

In short...$85 for an oil and filter change on a 2007 Lexus 350RX with 107K miles on it! They used Valvoline 5W30 MaxLife Oil and a VO84 filter. I can buy 5 quarts of the exact oil for $19.97 at Wal-mart and 1 more single quart for $4.97 and the filter for $8.89. With tax that's about $36...so they charged around $50 for labor! Never again, I called Wal-mart and they'll do it for $30 + tax or $40 + tax with synthetic oil (they used a blend). Not only that, they said the oil in the rear differential and transfer case were "Checked - OK" - - a little hard to do when it's a front wheel only drive car!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO VALVOLINE OIL!! NOT ANY LOCATION THEY HIRE ANYONE OFF THE STREET .. THESE PEOPLE HAVE SERVICED MY CAR FOR 2 YEARS AND NEVER CHECKED MY TRANSMISSION FLUID HALF OF MY RECEIPTS STATES THE TRANSMISSION IS SEALED WHICH MEANS THEY CAN'T GET TO IT AND OTHER HALF STATE THRU CHECKED IT. IT WASN'T UNTIL I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED THAT I WAS TOLD IT HAD NO TRANSMISSION FLUID. I JUST HAD THE FLUID FLUSHED ABOUT 13 DAYS BEFORE THEY CHANGED MY OIL WHICH MEANS SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE FLUID AND BY VALVOLINE NOT CHECKING IT I WASNT AWARE.. I now HAVE A DAMAGED TCM WHICH IS THE BRAIN OF THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ONLY THING THE AREA MANAGER W CHARTERS WANTED TO GIVE ME BACK IS THE 62.00 FOR THE OIL CHANGE FEE.. AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THIS CONVERSATION ENDS HERE. I SAID YOUR RIGHT BECAUSE I'M TAKING YOUR ASSES TO COURT!! I HAVE A VIABLE CASE AGAINST THEM THAT IS GOING TO BE WORTH SPENDING THE MONEY TO TAKE THEIR ASSES TO COURT!!! AND MIND YOU THEY HAD TO REIMBURSE ME FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF 143.00 BECAUSE THE TECHNICIANS LEFT THE TOP TO THE AIR FILTER OFF WHICH MADE ME HAVE LEANS CODES ON BANK1&2. I SEE WHERE SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY ALLOW THEM TO DO OTHER MECHANICAL WORK IF YOU THIS YOU ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE BECAUSE THEY CAN'T COMPLETE A PROPER OIL CHANGE!!

WELL I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED AND GUESS WHAT!!! NO TRANSMISSION FLUID IN MY CAR!! WHICH MEAN THEY DIDN'T CHECK A DAM THING!! CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS AND SUE THEIR ASSES IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU AND YOU HAVE DAMAGE TO YOUR TRANSMISSION!!!

I was told I had to put Synthetic into my GMC when I had used a blend in the past. Then was told ok but they would not guarantee it. I said ok, then was told they no longer had the blend and had to use the Synthetic - it was required by the manufacturer of GMC, Buick and Cadillac. It was $20 more. They gave me $15 off and put it in. When I got home I called the GMC dealership and was told no I did not need to put in synthetic but since I had I should not go back to a blend. I called customer service at Valvoline and after some arguing on the phone was given $44 off (1/2) and the next day the manager of the shop that did my oil change phoned and just apologized. I said I felt I should get mine for $20 less every time I came in as they were the ones that caused me to have to pay this by putting synthetic in my vehicle. They said no. I was totally scammed and will never go back there again. My husband just took his GMC into a Tires Plus this morning and got a blend in his and it was less than half the cost of what I paid at Valvoline.

Dayton Blvd, Red Bank, TN - Not to be trusted unless you know what questions to ask. They took advantage of my wife by upselling to a Synthetic/conventional mix by misleading her into thinking they did not have conventional available. If they do this, what else do they do? Shady

They refused to give me a receipt for my oil change. I called there office, and they stated that they need my Vin number, I do not have time to go to my car, and get my vin number, that why I go to a quick oil service. I guess the dealer might take long, but the customer service is outstanding next to your service.
