I called Tigerdirect and checked to make sure a product was in stock. The got put me on hold for 3-4 minutes and then said yes its in stock and then described how good the unit looked. I ordered the product right then and there. I was looking at specs right after i ordered it and it said temporarily out of stock. So great they took it out of stock right after i ordered it.
2 days later i receive and email that says sorry my product is out of stock. I am laid off. I need a laptop to job search. This company screwed me. I called and customer service was extremely rude. Sorry sir. You were too slow. What? I ordered right after the call?

I purchased this gaming monitor online on 04/17/20 and paid extra for 2-day shipping, upon receiving the monitor I hooked it up and it is clearly damaged and will not function. 2 hours after it was dropped off I called and emailed Mariel from the customer service team. She asked for a photo and I sent the below and said she would process the return and that it would take 5-7 days for a return label. I did not hear back from them at all so I contacted them via email on 04-29. Again, no response so I tried again on 05-04 with still no response. I then tried calling the number on the email signature to call my account executive (Which has a different company name "PCM" on the signature) I was given the run around and was told I had to leave messages which were never returned. A couple days later I tried contacting tiger direct customer service again and ended up getting my Account Exec on the phone who told me their phone system and email service has been down and they have not received my messages. She said that PCM owns TigerDirect now and that their systems are being merged so nobody can help me. Mariel (the account exec) then told me I needed to contact Asus and get a return number. I did that and their phone system was down because of the pandemic so I had to explain that it was damaged and not that it was plugged in wrong via a virtual chat. I provided this to Mariel almost 10 days ago and I have still not received a return label or any indication that they are going to refund my money that they have been holding onto for over a month since I originally contacted them. Their management has not and will not return my calls or emails. I now feel that I have been robbed by this company for over $700.00 and I fear I will not ever get my money back. I have purchased from Tiger Direct in the past from their retail stores and I have never had any issues such as these. It is ridiculous that I can only speak to 1 person about my order and they are treating me like I am a business and not a consumer. I can go return something to Best Buy the same day I buy it without this headache. I actually already went to Microcenter and bought the same monitor from them in the store with no issues the same day I received the item from Tiger Direct. I will never do business with Tiger Direct again and I recommend nobody else does either.

If I can put lest rating I will, I buy a computer, didn't come as I request,( Was dirty and broken) I didn't even use, same day I receive I call to return,take a while to receive email back from them, i keep calling customer service , NO help, finally after calling almost every day they send me the order to return, I shipped back now it is more than two month I don't have my refund. STAY AWAY FROM TIGGERDIRECT. I am still waiting for my refund

Paid for a webcam. No mention at all on their website that the unit was not in stock. Days later I receive an email saying it's back-ordered. No one at TigerDirect answers the phone or responds to chat inquiries. Total scam. Do not do business with this company unless you enjoy throwing money away.

I received a defective computer system from Tiger Direct. I only discovered the defect (camera not working) after spending a great deal of time migrating files and settings from my old system to the new one and installing programs such a Microsoft Office, my email program etc..
Because I didn't want to have to start over with setting up a replacement system, I decided I would live with the system without a working camera. I asked for a refund for part of the system price to compensate for the defective system. But I was told they would only replace the defective system or provide a $10 credit to my account for use on my next purchase, but the credit would be good for only two weeks. I was told "Take it or leave it!"
That kind of customer service is wholly unacceptable!

When buying from TigerDirect, keep in mind it's generally closeouts and clearance items, so you probably are getting older models. However, you're also paying substantially less in trade-off.
I've bought three times through Tiger Direct: a laptop, a monitor, and the components to build a desktop. In each case, checkout was easy and delivery was fast. The products were exactly as advertised. I had no reason to contact their customer service as a result, so can't speak to how that would work.
I'm looking for an inexpensive laptop for a family member who literally doesn't have a computer right now - will probably buy one from Tiger Direct, because their prices are consistently the best I've found.

Ordered the product Friday night; took delivery Tuesday morning. Plugged it in to charge up. Two hours later I was transferring data/programmes from the old laptop to the new one. I have had it for over a month, no problems (yet).

Issues started 4 years ago when I ordered a computer for our business. On the website, I searched for new computers as a filter, I found one that said new on the product description. When I received it, it was refurbished and came with a CD for me to install Windows myself. Only after I filed a complaint with the BBB did they try to work towards a solution. Four years later I decide to give them a second chance. I called and spoke to someone to make sure I was ordering a new computer. I placed my order. Three hours later I received a call from Tiger Direct saying that the product was out of stock...even though it said it was in stock on line and their sales rep said it was available for sale. I told them to cancel my entire order (there was also a monitor on the order) and that I never wanted to receive anything or do any business with them ever again. The next day I received confirmation that my card had been charged for the monitor and that it was being pulled for deliver and I could no longer cancel the order. Now when it comes, I have to send it back as customer service said they can't cancel the order at this point. Stay away from them. They bait and switch and have horrible customer service.

Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware! This was a good online company about 21 years ago. Not so anymore. I found out the hard way. I bought a Dell laptop from them. Then I noticed on my credit card that I had been charged TWICE! I called to get it fixed immediately but was told it would take up to 48 hours. In the meantime, I'd have to use cash to pay for my groceries and other bills. TigerDirect's charging me twice for the same thing had pushed my credit card over the limit so now I can't use it for another 48 hours... maybe. Judging by the other reviews, it might take longer. I'm returning the laptop as soon as it arrives. I want nothing to do with such a shady company. The hundreds of really bad reviews online attest to their poor customer service and questionable practices.
Then they charged me 8.25% sales tax. But the sales tax here is 7.75%. Hmm... and then they charged me a $5.00 e-waste recycling fee. Strange. They're the only online retailer I've come across to do that. Besides, I'm buying the electronics FROM them, not giving it to them. Hmm... But those are minor things I ignored.
After my unfortunate experience with them, I finally looked them up online and was shocked. Over the last 18 years,They've been sued by the state Florida, they've been sued by Dell, the Federal Trade Commission even had to put them in check, the Canadian Broadcast Co. also did an investigative episode on the company, and TigerDirect's founders were convicted of fraud in 2014. How is TigerDirect still in business??!! They're probably coasting on their former good reputation. But after MY recent experience with them, and after belatedly reading the reviews of others, and after reading about the legal situations they have gotten themselves into, I am staying away from them completely. And you would do well to do, too!
If the same product is cheaper at TigerDirect, but costs more at another retailer, buy it from the OTHER retailer anyway!

This site has just about any electronic item you could ever want. You can go top of the line, all the way down to average, and the prices are very competitive. They also have one of the best and most informative service departments. I am a faithful shopper.

Tiger Direct has been around for many years. I am some what surprised they are still around because they do not offer a lot of good low prices like they use to & I can almost always find better deals else where, but once in a while they will surprise me. Many years ago they were one of my #1 shops to buy computer parts from because they almost always had a good low price on something that I needed.
Would I recommend them to others?
Not by word of mouth unless I knew they had it cheaper. As for someone reading here only if you shop around & make sure your getting the best price because I am sure if you take the time you will find it cheaper else where.

Assisted a friend in the purchase of a refurbished laptop.The laptop has a defective screen probably due to motherboard internals.
Called the following day to request RMA, explained the scenario to 3 representatives before the RMA was acknowledged. I was told to wait for an email (shipping label) with the instructions on return. a week later and still no email, I called and spoke to another rep which stated that the email would be sent in the afternoon...again, no email. I called today and the 1st rep gave me a number (213-833-7300) that has no response whatsoever.
I re-called customer service and another rep giving me the runaround with no eagerness to help. I'm an IT Consultant who has purchased thousands of dollars from this company in the past and cannot believe how unprofessional this company is at the moment.
Tigerdirect is basically a "Buyer's Beware" outlet.If you value your sanity and your time...buy from Newegg industries.

I haven't ordered from them for several years. The last experience soured me. I ordered a PC power supply, well-rated and more expensive. It had a rebate however which made the price competitive. I got the power supply, it worked as promised, sent the rebate forms in, got no response, called Tiger and was told it was between me and the mfr. " But I get no response from the mfr. YOU offered the rebate " I got nothing from Tiger. Or another attempt with the mfr. On a previous occasion with defective merchandise, repeated e-mails and phone calls extending for several months finally got resolved. I should have quit while I was ahead.

A friend shared with me this store telling it's cheap and have guarantees for quality tablets. Samsung for less than #300 was a good choice I did. I'm sartisfied with the way it works.
