In February, when I went to get on the computer, it was frozen. A website stating it was from Microsoft was on the screen with a phone number to call. I called the number & was told to repair the issue it would cost $399.99 for 3 years. They didn't want a credit card, but to send a check to Canada after it was repaired. They took over the computer remotely stating I had multiple viruses. So I agreed to this. They were supposed to send an invoice & all the details about the program. I have NOT received anything from them except phone calls for payment & threats it was going to the collection agency. I feel it was a scam. So I have not sent them any money.

Could not log into facebook, and screen appeared i need to call the number, which i thought was microsoft, which i called, selina walked me through the virusis, and told me technitian would clean my computer, then ask for $399.oo plan for 3 years. I said i didn't have that kind of money, so she said i could pay $149.99 for 1yr. service contract. She was very persistent even thou i told her serveral times i need to talk to my computer friend.

I was browsing and a box popped up that said it was from my internet service provider, CenturyLink. The message told me my computer had been compromised and some other computer was trying to access it. There was a phone number, supposedly to Microsoft, which I called. The person told me he was with Microsoft and showed me on the Microsoft page where his company was represented. He accessed my computer, charged $149 through a check that I scanned to him, and said he had fixed my computer. I then began researching the company and saw a lot of scam complaints. Then I contacted Microsoft and they told me this company was indeed a hacker and removed the files that the other company had installed. They also showed me times when that other company had actually accessed my computer.
