I paid for goods which I subsequently returned (did not fit me). After the return was accepted by Spartoo, they refused to refund me the money (well, by accident, they returned me a part of the sum, but they still owe me a considerable amount of money). They claim that my bank took the money back a week after the transfer was successfully carried out. An obvious lie since no bank can access their account and reverse a money transfer (note: transfer!). After a month of arguments, and presenting them with various documents, including confirmation from
Trustly, the company who handled the transfer, and a statement from my bank that no transaction has been reversed, they continue to claim they have not gotten paid for the order. Trustly have then themselves reached out to assist Spartoo in this case, but Spartoo is not responding. Also, my bank has personally reached out to Spartoo a week ago; no response either. Spartoo has also ignored my requests to provide a legally binding documentation of the transaction. I am currently in the process of reporting the case to the Swedish Police and to the Consumer office.
Also, beware of an extremely incompetent customer service who give incoherent and contradictory information. Unbelievable that so many people still get fooled by this company, despite so many poor reviews (check the reviews for "Spartoo.co.uk").
UPDATE: Spartoo has now said their final word. They have openly denied to investigate what happened to the transaction between them and Trustly, and informed me that it is up to me to investigate how the money went out of their system one week after the transaction. They refuse to cooperate with Trustly, the company that was hired to handle their payments during the chekout, the day I carried out the purchase in their shop. Also, when I requested Spartoo's "Terms and conditions" that were valid on the day of the purchase (a legal contract between them and the customer), I got a document where this "secure payment method" was not even mentioned. I have pointed it out and demanded an explanation; none so far.
Spartoos final position in this dispute is:
(1). They refuse to investigate why and how the money has disappeared from their system, and they will not investigate what's happend to the money beause there is nothing to investigate - the money is not in the system... (can you believe the logic?)
(2). They refuse to investigate because the customer service does not have the necessary permissions to talk to the bank or Trustly, and their economy department - who could investigate - is not interested in the investigation because of point (1).
Which is why they are closing the investigation.
My RESPONSE TO Spartoo's reply:

You, Spartoo, provide a number so called “secure payment methods” that are not so secure, as it turns out. The payment method, provided on your website at the checkout, that I used when I paid for my order, was not even specified in your OWN “Terms and conditions”. So you offered an illegitimate payment method. I DID provide all necessary data, including my bank account statement, to Trustly who was hired by you to handle your payments (I would not dare providing my bank data to a company that has taken the money, although you DID, on the very same day the issue was discovered, receive the account number to which the money was transferred and the name and number of the transfer along with an attachment of Trustly’s reply). Trustly has replied to me multiple times that the transaction was successful. They have also reached out to you to assist you in this matter. To no avail. You are continuously mentioning your bank and your economy department, but you still refuse to contact Trustly who was handling the operation FOR YOU. Trustly has reached out to you at least twice. I have contacted them a number of times, and they keep on replying they have reached out to you.
The conclusion is that I came to Your shop, paid for the goods at Your counter, you accepted the payment and 21 (!) days later, you (by accident) inform me, that the money is gone from your system. I did not shop in Trustly’s shop, I shopped at Spartoo.
I accepted YOUR "terms and conditions" at the counter when I clicked "Pay".
