Downloaded Sound Cloud, started to use and was o.k. however when the Italian lesson I was listening to ended a new song started playing and it was a GOD thing, some sort of gospel and I couldnt get rid of it, had to shut down my phone and reboot. Not happy and promptly deleted Soundcloud. Think twice before downloading as this could happen to you!

Customer support sends generic copy+paste emails to serious inquiries... the website is poor for handling your subscription settings.
Great website, just stick to the free version and you won't be disappointed.

Everytime you visit the website on the mobile browser the same two pictures of the same two artists are shown. One or the other. It has a caption, 'hear the world's music'. These have been shown for about the two years I've been using this service.
Either SoundCloud has a very limited world or it favours certain artists.
As an international traveling street musician, I have learned it is offensive enough to the rest of the world that the west claims to own the world, and dominates all music with its limited genres. It is even more offensive when one of two Western bands are selected by a global power site to represent the world... for two years running.
I paid for the service. I expected more traffic from doing this. I didn't get more traffic.
I stopped paying for the service.
I'll stop using sound cloud.

Absolute cowboy business. There is no customer service. Any business trading in the Uk should provide minimum contact details of a phone number and trading address. There are plenty of options to upgrade but no means of contacting them whatsoever. They have taken an unauthorised payment from my account after signing up for the free trial.

I canceled my subscription because their music is very limited. I spent hours and hours creating a playlist and overnight it was completely gone. There is no contact info, instead they send you on a wild goose chase continuously revisiting the same unhelpful pages.

Customer support sends generic copy+paste emails to serious inquiries and they don't offer even partial refunds if you forget to cancel the annual renewal that you didn't use for 9 months of the year. You should not be forced to pay for a service that you did not receive.
Great website, just stick to the free version and you won't be disappointed.

Soundcloud is easily 1-star compared to Spotify. I reported a song that another user claimed to be his and SoundCloud froze my account. It's been over three weeks now with no response from them. Going without SoundCloud helped me realize how useless SoundCloud was. Spotify has better algorithms, is ad-free, and is user friendly. SoundCloud is a thing of the past.

It is probably goo just for discovering new unknown artists, but for quality listening to music I would prefer another app

Dirty horrible people. Sign you up. Give you no obvious way to unsubscribe. 2 HOURS worth of phone calls to my bank trying to explain this - thankfully, by the end of it, a customer service advisor who understood my plight. AVOID SoundCloud like the plague. They don't even offer 10% of the music that other decent streaming services offer.
Horrible experience. Sign up on mobile. Try to unsubscribe. IMPOSSIBLE.
Dirty dirty dirty company.

The customer service has always been bad which is sad but true.
The product hasnt evolved or improved over the last 10 or so years and as a frequent user, Im chocked that the small improvements event minor startups are able to accommondate, is really flying over soundclouds management's heads.
So sad to say that I am just so tired of this product and its customer service. Would be amazing if a company like spotify bought it and made the simple adjustments.

Horrible customer experience with their support team. You have to wait days for a response, sometimes you don't get one at all. They told me I could transfer my pro subscription from one account to the other, then, after deleting my account, they said I couldn't transfer. Honestly, one of the worst experiences.

Absolutely shocking support and customer service. No help to solve my payment issues. They just ignore support tickets and don't reply. I was a paying customer for years and this is how it ends.

The idea was to promote lesser known music on this site to encourage the spread of this music.
Nowadays, companies with never heard of producers are giving out strikes for sharing music which is already available for free through other websites online. This is camouflaged by the fact that SoundCloud puts the responsibility on the company that filed the takedown to remove a SoundCloud strike while the company asserts that the burden lies on SoundCloud for removing a strike. Definitely not good music practice, definitely not good longtime account holder practice, and definitely not SoundCloud account holder friendly at all. Your best bet is to find an alternative source of music because SoundCloud is not very good as a music hosting service. It was an unacceptable experience, with unreasonable and rude conduct.

As an artist these streaming platforms are destroying the Music industry, they are Plagued with companies that other plays, likes, reposts and comments and the majority of them are fake, they are stealing money from artists that just want to get there Music in front of real people,
Soundcloud and Spotify no what's happening and do nothing to protect artists from these scammers, its a disgrace and it needs to change, Also souncloud is a lot worse and very rarely pay artists for the plays, it has to change and there needs to be a better way for undiscovered artists to get there Music in front of people, they also need to recommend good promotion companies and name and shame the ones taking advantage and stealing from Artists.

SoundCloud is a good alternate music streaming platform for me. It doesn't have as many songs as Spotify or Amazon Music does, but I use it, because SoundCloud has a lot of rap mixtapes on there, which is something that a lot of mainstream music streaming devices don't have. If you're a fan of rap music, I'd totally use SoundCloud for mixtapes. Also, the website is kind of a mess and it's really annoying searching for one song. For example, if I look up "Her Song" by MGK, it'll show me a lot of his mainstream music and I have to search for that one specific song by scrolling for a few minutes.

Absolutely the most BRILLIANT and ENJOYABLE Podcast is Media Roots with Abby Martin and her brother, Robbie. They are true journalists, who defy the corporate and self censoring of so called "journalists". Abby and Robbie are on the level of Noam Chomsky for their combined ability to deconstruct with alacrity "the manufactured consent" to violence that we are trapped in and they are funny as hell. They are nothing short of AMAZING!
