Purchased sunglasses that ended up not being correct size and 30 days later store had closed and unable to reach anyone other than store 4 hours away. Only remedy company would provide is driving 4 hours to closest store to exchange or return. Solstice.com provides no help with store purchases. Terrible service for expensive sunglasses. Never buy from this company again.

I was looking for a Christmas gift for my husband. He wanted these Maui Jim Wassup sunglasses. I saw on their website that if you subscribe to their newsletters, you will get 20% off plus free 2 days shipping. So I did subscribe but couldn't place an order. So I called customer service and the lady on the phone advised me that these sunglasses excluded from their 25% promotion, which I wasn't even referring to. So I asked if I will get 20% for subscribing and the lady said yes, you will. So I got a promo code in my e-mail and tried to place an order. It did NOT take 20% off. So I called AGAIN, and another lady told me on the phone that these sunglasses are excluded from ALL promotions, and they are sorry that I was misinformed and they are NOT going to honor the promised to me 20%... I asked for a supervisor... And that one, Alyssa is her name, could not be of ANY HELP AT ALL!!! The only thing she was able to do is to keep saying like a broken record "unfortunately, we cannot do anything for you at this time...", "How I can help you", after I told her what I need!
I wanted my whole entire morning trying to place an order and still didn't get anywhere with them! STAY AWAY FROM THESE INCOMPETENT AND IGNORANT COMPANY WITH WHOLE BUNCH OF USELESS AGENTS AND WORTHLESS SUPERVISORS!!!! NO supervisors, just a heads up, are available to speak with if supervisor didn't help. STAY AWAY!!!! NEVER BUY FROM THEM ANYTHING!!!

I came upon this site www.New-SolsticeSunglasses-Sale.com when I was searching to buy some authentic Prada sunglasses. I purchased two style of Prada sunglasses. When I received shipment and open the box only to find out they are different what I order and cheap plastic made knock-offs. I emailed them and still haven't heard from them. I have contacted my credit card company to see what I can do about this. This site is a scam. How they are doing business is beyond me. BUYER BEWARE!

I thought I was ordering from Solstice, but they charged my card $25 more than the "invoice" amount and there was an international transaction fee - Solstice is in the USA so I became concerned. The company would not respond - turns out it was "solsticesunglasses-discount" dot com - a fraudulent Chinese company posing as solstice. Ripped off their logo, website design, etc. Eventually I got a package - instead of my Adidas sport glasses it was an incredibly cheap Oakley knockoff. The logo wasn't even right. Double check the URL before you order!

I bought a pair of glasses less than a year ago , the place of where the crew is crooked, so the screw got loosed and also with the frame. When I called them, they said they don't have this pair in the inventory and can't replace them or give credit to purchase another one. It meant once you got a pair of glasses and they no longer have that type of glasses for sale, the warrantee is ended. And they only have certain amount of the sunglasses they sell. At the end, you should disregard about the warantee when you purchase glasses from here since most likely they will not have it in the near future. Plus , when you go to the store they will not help you.

I was shopping for my mom's christmas gift. I wanted to get her a good pair of cat eye sunglasses because I thought she would rock it. Came across this awesome sale at solstice (rolling my eyes) and decided to purchase these Marc by Marc Jacobs 289/S cat eye sunglasses for $70 something plus 40% off. With gift box and taxes came out to $53. I entered my info, made everything is correct (my name, billing and shipping info, and payment info) EVERYTHING! I made sure everything is correct. Submitted my order. Error telling me that " order not submitted, please check and correct payment info". I checked. Everything is good. Resubmitted. Still same. I made sure there is still available balance in my card. And of course there is. There was more than enough so WTF?! I called customer service. Lady said incidents where credit card companies had wrong billing zip codes on statements, so when entering here your correct zip code, it won't match up. With lady on phone I pull up my statement. Nope, correct zip code and everything. Told let me try another card. Nope! Same error! Lady asked how many times I tried to submit order? First of all, who gives how many times I tried, it's your guys error not mine because I entered everything correctly. Second, and if I did multiple times due to your error might I add, so what?! She says if entered multiple time system would lock my out for security purposes?! That is some bull face nonsense. I asked because it's your error, not mine can I get same price i tried to get by walking into physical store and pay in person with my freakin photo ID since you guys have "security" issues. Lady says store and online are different. I understand, working in retail, store and website can be separate entities. But you know what my company does in cases like this?! Honor the damn promotion. Solstice has some shady business ethics. Now see you've lost a customer. I don't care if I have to pay more else where. I would rather than deal with your company's shady asses. I may be only one customer right now taking my business elsewhere, but until your company straightens up, you'll slowly loose more and more customers. And soon you'll be another Circuit City.

I bought a $40 for $80 coupon on Gilt for this retailer, not noticing that the fine print said it was only for the solstice website (hate that). I wanted a new pair of the basic Ray Bans I had because I lost my older pair. I was willing to purchase the regular model or the polarized model for extra. The website said that they were sold out but expecting a new shipment in of not just the particular model I was interested in, but ALL of the color options. When I called to inquire when they would be in stock, the person was like, "I dunno." Thanks.
Finally the opportunity to preorder them became available. I ordered them on August 20th, for a Sept 1st shipping date (posted on the website when I ordered them). I called last night, September 6th, to see why they had not shipped yet. I was told they "were in the warehouse being prepped for shipment." What the hell does that mean? Put them in a box with a label and ship them. No "prep work" necessary. I also sent an angry e-mail to customer service. Today, I got an e-mail that they went out for shipment and the tracking number I was provided for UPS does not work. The link the e-mail sends you to on their website to track it using your order number ALSO does not work.
Thanks for nothing Soltice. Just send me my sunglasses already so I can be done with you.

I had purchased a pair of sunglasses with a $150 e-gift certificate that I had received from my girlfriend.
Along with the gift certificate I had to pay about $20 in additional charges to make up the difference. Upon receiving the sunglasses, I had decided to return them due to a size issue. I called solsticesunglasses.com customer support in April to ask whether I would receive the full value of the gift certificate back as credit, since the coupon had expired since I purchased it. I would not have returned the sunglasses otherwise. I was told that this would be the case and had decided to return my glasses for a different model. Upon receipt of the sunglasses, there was a problem with processing the return for a few weeks and I was finally issued a new coupon code. When I had entered the code the value was for $75, half of what I had initially in the $150 eGift certificate. I spoke with their customer service representatives regarding this and they said there was nothing they could do since the coupon I had initially purchased expired.
I told them that I was assured that I would receive full value by their customer service earlier and that logically I would not have returned it otherwise. I've spoken to numerous customer service reps as well as one supervisor named Michelle, and they basically said that they can't do anything at this point. I can't even get the original sunglasses back. They've said that they can't refund the money for me either since this was a coupon purchased through ideeli. At this point blame keeps getting shifted around and there's no one willing to accept responsibility. In really the absence of being able to talk to anyone else without getting more headache and stress, I am turning to anyone that will lend an ear to help me. This has wasted more time and money than it is worth, but I honestly believe that this is a principle that I can not idly stand by for. I don't usually complain and having been in roles for sales and customer service before I understand the difficulty, but I believe it is absolutely unfair that since my decision was based on what I was told by solsticesunglasses.com and having been penalized for it, something needs to be done. Along with this, I would also like to make a mention that their customer service is very unprofessional as I've tried to contact them by email several times only to go with days without any kind of response. A couple of times they said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours,but they never did and I had to call them back. Also, the $20 they were supposed to have refunded to my account still hasn't been
processed and at this point, I don't know what else to do.
