If I could give them a zero then I would !!!! Absolutely DISGUSTING bunch of cowboys !!!! Don't answer the phones, don't reply to appeals and then send letters from a debt recovery business when the offer of a payment was made !!! Run by robots who obviously have no empathy. So so angry with the lack of communication, don't deserve to be in business. All companies associated with them should reconsider their choice of using such a disreputable firm !!!!

During COVID-19 I overstayed in a newly chargeable carpark by 15 minutes and 1 second. The first 60 minutes are free and always enough time to pop into the chemist and pick up prescriptions for my disabled son. I waited in a very long cold queue the 1st morning of the full lockdown, tuesday 24th March 2020, social distancing at 2 metres apart. Totally never at any point did I check the time for parking as I had been in the one shop only and an hour is always enough time and my personal safety was more on my mind. This total bunch of cretins think it is appropriate to fine a car displaying a disabled badge in a car park next to 3 chemists and a doctors surgery during a stressful horrendous time. I am happy to be taken to court as I will NEVER be paying this "FINE". The worst part of it was the chemist didnt even have the prescription for insulin and many other items as the doctors surgery and chemist were understaffed due to illness. Left empty handed after waiting for 65 minutes and 1 second to visit the doctors to collect the prescription and head to another chemist.

WARNING. made the biggest mistake, appealed was not informed the charge would be frozen until appeal looked at, frightened that i would have to pay extra so paid within 14 days.
Now it has been rejected as i paid, yet i rung smart parking and was told they would look at appeal and inform me of outcome.

I urge everyone to avoid smart parking if they possibly can it won't be easy as they are all over the place but if you do have to park in one of their car parks take extra care to follow the rules so they can not fine you.
I recently visited Perth Royal infirmary and because they phoned me to come in i did not receive a parking pass from them, when I arrived at the car park it was nearly empty apart from about 5 cars, anyway I got a free ticket from the machine and placed it on the dash, when I came back from my appointment I found I had a parking ticket and as the warden was still there I ask him why he replied it was a outpatient car park and you needed a hospital pass as well as the machine ticket I explained I was an outpatient but the appointment was made over the phone he said the hospital should have told me to come and see him though where he hides I have no idea, anyway I had to go back to the ward and get a pass to prove I was there, so then I appealed to smart parking which was rejected on the basis that the pass wasn't placed on the dashboard at the same time as the machine ticket pathetic excuse, I payed the £40 fine because if I had appealed again and lost it was going up to £75. By the way the hospitals are doing a lot of work over the phone just now because of the current situation but you may still have to go in to get certain things checked like I had to hence the phone call. So everyone please stay away from this bunch of crooks.

This company is the definition of robin hoods brother ... robbin [email protected]!
If you appeal they just won’t answer till it then goes to £100 and then gets declined anyway. Just don’t pay it, they send threatening letters.. just ignore the c*n*ts .
Too idle to even take you to court, have to get off their fat lazy a$$ to do some work. But instead like to threaten people in our own country and try to get away with it! Not for long mofos, you’ll be on your way home soon. Karmas a b*tch

Let's turn the tables on them.
I am fed up with these parking firms disgusting tacits, parking charging that is illegal, they think the public are thick, but remember you can turn the tables if you remember the old saying(if you cant beat them join them) they get away with their practices because by turning down motorists appeals they then know the next thing motorists will do in put in a popla appeal which they know most drivers will lose, now the fine goes up to £100,and they then can start to put the pressure
on debt collectors, bailiffs, forecourt threats, ignore all that it's only to frighten you to pay up.
Here is the action you can take and should take so spread the word, use the £100 not to pay their fine, but to go to the county court offices and take smart parking to court, and the store if the refuse to cancel an illegal ticket as they should have done, and the popla assessor if you had a good case, and you lost your case because of a completely perverse decision.
I believe it takes about £50 pounds to get a county court case started,to,the nervous it will not be a upsetting court case, the judge or solicitor sits round a table with everyone informally, and the parties put there cases to them, now if smart parking knows their case is weak, but that's never been the impression they have given you in,their attempt to bully you in to paying up,its almost a certainty that they will fail to,turn up,in that case you will win by default,if they do turn up if your case is water tight,if you are covered by the equality act,or anything legal you will win.
By taking direct action and by getting together others you will turn the tables on them.

After receiving a fine today from Smart parking Ltd, l live in Sheffield. They say we owe £60 for a motor offence, in 4th Dec 2019.After parking in Kilner Way, a retail shopping centre. There was no time entering or exiting that car park. There was no pay meters , and l had no parking notice on the car windscreen until the letter arrived.l never saw a time limit, or even knew there was any time limit to watch out for. These places should not have shops selling coffees, restaurants where you can shop and then eat before leaving. Especially when before Christmas, and you are shopping and resting afterwards. You are blamed for shopping and then using there coffee shops etc, on site, which takes longer than the hours given. They are not only making money for the retail park, they are also making for the cowboy parking firm. I will be informing people by media, and social media of this firm in that certain retail park. I will never be shopping there again, and hope that other people who have been charged with a fine do the same. 3 hours is not enough to go shopping and eating, trying on clothes, buying presents in 5 or 6 stores and leave in 3 hours. Some people like me, don't know of the time restrictions, they think parking is free for as long as you shop that. You have 90 mins on match days and no concessions for the disabled driver with a badge.

Well this parking was the worst managed parking I have been so far. I was stuck at the parking at greenwich shopping park for more than 2 hrs because of the traffic at the parking and worst part was I got a parking charge notice for staying longer then 2 hrs. I did appeal twice wrote a mail but there was no any response and I did call their customer service which I had to wait for 13 mins and what they did was hang up the phone. So I had to pay £40 pound without my fault. So I encourage people not to use this parking system. I am very, very, very much disappointed with the parking and their customer services.

Absolute thieves! I was unintentionally 4 minutes over, due to being blocked in by a delivery van..... There wasn't anything I could do, other than wait...... Then I get fined £50!! This company takes great pleasure in robbing hard working people of their money.
I have already shared my experience on various social media sites, and, along with a lot of other people, will be boycotting any carparks monitored by this company. I would rather stay at home, than have these thieves take my money.

Paid my fee for 1 hour to park at pound stretcher in HAZEL GROVE stockport but only entered the last three didit's of the so called VRM ,I was in the store for 29 mins so well overpaid, I couldn't believe it when a parking fine arrived ,i thought is must be a mistake as i had paid at the machine,so apealed ,but with no success,so paid the £60 fine,What i would like to know is what is the likely hood of 2 cars with the exact same last three digits of the VRM being in the same carpark at the same time, these people are hungry for money ,no different than thieves, and should be prosecuted for day light robbery,Nobody should be fined when generally paid the fee and also not overstayed the time either unbelievable,What is the country coming to,why bother supporting the high street to get penalised,I will never ever use this store again,

This company does not even stand by the the rules set by the British Parking Association. I unintentionally over stayed at Tower Road Newquay by 7 mins and received a fine of £60 now increased to £100 due to appealing. My appeal was rejected even though I had actually paid an additional amount to the full days stay (extended on the App during our visit) and exited within the 10 mins statutory grace period. Absolute bunch of crooks

I paid £17 to park for many hours at the pound-stretcher carpark in Margate (Kent). I left for five minutes to pick up my girlfriend and re-entered the car park. I received a letter a week after saying I had insufficient paid time, and I of course was shocked so I appealed. They rejected my appeal and have had to apply through POPLA. POPLA also rejected my appeal as Smart parking had not submitted a report for insufficient paid time, but a breach in T&Cs. Therefore I have had to pay a £100 fine, as well as the original £17 to park. Scum of the earth, they really are, gave me a massive middle finger knowing I had paid and just rinsed a student for money. Thanks. If anyone knows how I could take this further, please do tell me as £100 really is a lot for me.

We are both disabled.did'nt notice that a blue badge is not acceptable by this company. Got a PCN appealed on the grounds that I didn't notice the blue badge N/A also after unloading a small mobility scooter also a powered wheelchair. We where worn out and could only focus on eating and drinking. I believe if I had purchased a parking ticket and presented at the Bar or cafe I would have been refunded. We bought drinks in the pub (showed proof of payment) also bought food at the café. They refused my appeal as there where a number of signs.
I would say that they totally disregarded the highly unusual aspects of my appeal.

What a horrendous company. They sent me a ticket and said I'd over stayed which I was 7 mins as I had to get my disabled dads stuff outta car as wed just finished hols at butlins. When I challenged the decision they said I never brought one at all. Sent my case to debt collector as I was few days late with appeal. Due to my
health I forgot about this till my family worker sorted my letters out. Machine dint even accept cards???

How this company is allowed to operate and hoodwink people into paying fines for parking in a pay and display car park is beyond me.
I genuinely told them in writing that we over stayed as they highlighted burnt only 19mins . This was due to the long walk back from the beach in Newquay and not thinking we would be filmed etc was the last thing we expected. Then a week later receive a letter in the post telling us we owe them £60 or delay and pay £100 for overstaying by 19 minutes.
They said they belong to this and that trade associations and their signs are clearly marked.
What they don't tell you is the massive sign that says 5 mins to the beach to encourage you to park is more like 10/12 mins to walk unless your Billy Whizz.
Absolute disgrace which made our afternoon visit to Newquay one we shall not forget or will be returning any time soon.
I will be writing to Cornwall council and expressing my concern about allowing this type of business to operate in the area and request that Smart Parking return my £60 as paid under stress and demanded by unfair means

Parked at fantasy Island in ingoldmills sun was on the machine to pay but kind of managed to work it out . Typed in my registration number and machine said I owed £2 which I did find a little cheap but paid anyway , 2 weeks later got a fine for £100 £60 if paid within 2 weeks. Smart parking should wear balaclavas to rob people but apparently this is completely legal . It's shocking .
