I ordered dinner using Seamless at 4:30 in the afternoon and requested a 7 pm delivery. At 7:00 I got a notice that it would be delivered at 7:30. At 7:30 the delivery time was updated to 8:15. I called the restaurant and my dinner was there and waiting but a driver never showed up. I called Seamless and they eventually agreed to cancel my order. I will never use them again!

I only use this service because the place where I work have an agreement with them. Luckily (after thousands of complaints from all the workers) they will opt out! Alfter that, I will never use this service again. So sorry Seamless but you have to fix your app and hire better drivers. I do not have a complaint about customer service though, whom I called many many times...

I used Seamless for many years and never had problems. On Sep 7 I placed an order using my stored default American Express credit card. My American Express had to be closed soon after due to some fraudulent charges. Because I used my cards all the time and there was a gap between my charge and the fraudulent charge I could not pin point it on Seamless (although I did suspect it). Yesterday, (9/22) I placed another order on Seamless except this time I had to enter a new payment card (since my American Express was disabled). Guess what? Today there was a fraudulent charge on my Visa and the only order prior to that was Seamless. Too much of a coincidence.

Number two! If there is a mistake from the restaurant they didn't even refund me but give me a 20% off On the next order so in the end I spend $38 dollar for one cold pizza!

A fair amount of experience with Seamless. They'll tell you orders are ready and your arrive for pickup only to wait for 45 minutes.
Seamless customer service contacts are not available from the web site. No one to chat with or call.
Other orders when you arrive to pick it up it's been sitting on the counter. You get home and it's cold. It seems to vary on the restaurant but it appears Seamless does nothing to ensure a reasonable customer experience!!!
Seamless sent me a coupon to use their service. I met all the terms of the service but it didn't work. I called. Seamless support is via GrubHub in the Philipines. The support staff doesn't appear to be motivated to resolve problems so they'll happily waste your time!!! Over 1 hour on the phone!!! The agent then tells me the terms of the offer require that I spend $20 more to make the coupon work.
Don't waste your time!!! This service is the pits!

I have been using Seamless for years. Their delivery service is beyond horrible. They cancel all the time and when you are in a rush to eat, food delivery that is estimated for 30 minutes can take 2-3 hours at times because they cancel for no reason. This week, they cancelled from different restaurants one after the other. There services has become even worse. When the drivers pick up the food they t do not want to actually delivery to your apartment door and want the customer to leave their apartment and met them outside, which is the whole point of getting food delivered. You do not want to get dressed to go outside and during the pandemic, you do not want to leave your apartment if you have preexisting conditions. Drivers are essential workers and if they do not want to deliver food, they are entitled but get another job. They debate you on the phone, etc. And customer service is useless. They have no control over there drivers; however, they are a delivery service! Just providing me with constant discounts, doesn't help that they cannot deliver food... Just use UBER or another service that actually delivers your food. Keep in mind, it is not the restaurant's fault, it is SEAMLESS AKA GRUBHUB!

Every time I tried to use the promotion coupons they sent by mail it fails. Every time I called customer service I got excuses and offer to send me another coupon for next time. I wonder if what Seamless is doing is legal. Don't count on the discount. Use a different service if possible.

I placed my order with a Mexican restaurant, and delivery time was gjven. Within 20 minutes (or less), I received a text msg that my order was cancelled. No explanation as to why, and by the time I get to the restaurant to pickup my order, bring it home, it was cold! Terrible service!

First time using seamless and everything seemed to be just like any other delivery service. I added in the notes to just drop the food at the door. The driver arrived at 8:53 pm at my house. She sat in her car until 8:57 pm and then left. On the order form online it said the food was delivered. I used the contact number on the order form to call her. When she answered I said " I noticed it says the food was delivered can you tell me where you dropped it as I don't see anything", she immediately went off raising her voice and telling me that she waited there for 20 minutes. I asked why didn't she just drop the food at the door like the instructions said and she said because I didn't answer my phone. I asked if she was going to turn around as I immediately called her once she left and she was still in the neighborhood. She said no, I missed my delivery and hung up!? I have cameras outside my house that show the exact time she pulled up and left. I have no missed calls or texts so I reached out to consumer support. They in turn reached out to the driver and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes got back to me with, "So the driver said she waited at her house for 20 minutes and called you, she left because you never responded. This is what we will do for you, I'll give you 25% off your next order." I asked the customer care about the refund for the food I didn't get and she said since I missed the driver and didn't answer my phone they weren't going to refund me the money. I proceeded to tell her I'll pull my phone records and video surveillance to give to my attorney to solve this. She responded, "Well if you're going to go that route then I will issue the refund for your purchase tonight." I was unbelievably upset at the unprofessional-ism of this company. I will NEVER use this service or grub hub again and will make sure everyone I know, knows how awful of a service this is.

I order food from the Chinese restaurant about 10 block from my house the was suppose to deliver at 6:35 the man came after 7 then I had put down to bring it to my apartment door he would not come up he was so rude and disrespectful to me i try to tell him I had a newborn and couldn't come down so he just left with my food so now I have to wait for my money to go back into my account how knows how long that's going to take every time I use Seamless it is a problem with getting my food all the time i will no be using them again. I didn't want to give no stars.

Seamless and GrubHub appear to be the same thing, at the back end. Their order interface, processing, and customer service are the same.
I have ordered food delivery through Seamless/GrubHub successfully before, in amounts in excess of $100. Never had any problem with order processing or delivery. This time I tried to order 3 days of food for 2x people, so the total amount of the order was higher ($200+).
On this occasion, Seamless/GrubHub charged my card, then immediately refunded, flagged the whole thing as fraudulent, and blocked my account. (This is what happened behind the scenes; the web site itself explained none of this, offered a vacuous/unhelpful "please try again later" error message, and offered no instructions and no customer service contact information.)
Since my account was flagged as fraudulent and blocked, subsequent attempts to order via both Seamless and Grubhub web sites, and charge to different cards, were handled identically (the amount charged to my card, immediately refunded, order did not go through, I was presented with a vacuous/unhelpful error message).
In speaking with Seamless/GrubHub customer service, their initial explanation was that my initial order was over $100, but they immediately contradicted their own implication (denying that there was any maximum order amount and that this was in any way the cause of the fraud assumption on their part). And why charge the card in the first place, if fraud is suspected? All rather strange.
In the end, they explained that it would take 48+ hours to clear my account so that I could use their service again. Though they denied it, it is my suspicion is that if I order over $100 (*including* all tax, fees, etc... i. e. If the total gross charge to the credit card exceeds $100), the who circus will be repeated.
Seems like delivery via Seamless/Grubhub can be rather fraught. It appears there are undocumented restrictions that a legitimate user can violate rather trivially. The result is that they can end up simply refusing service to anyone, even repeat customers, for reasons that seem to confuse even their own customer service people, and which require days of lead time to rectify.
I have had severe delivery problems with DoorDash (they simply report as having delivered without actually delivering, and then I have to ask the merchant for a refund, get blown off, dispute credit card charges, etc), so my options for delivery seem to have narrowed basically to none.
From now on, I will be ordering via the restaurant's own app or phone number, and picking up in person.

Most deliveries are late and I've had three incidents where I never got my order and had to wait 3-5 days to get my money back. Worse service ever. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I used this service when all this Covid19 stuff started and they were great. For several months, they were my "go to" food delivery service. I liked them because while Doordash and Grubhub almost always screwed my orders up, or canceled on me after taking my money, Seamless always got it right. However, more recently, I started noticing them having the same issues- orders not right, and mostly, orders were cancelled after I placed them and paid for them. I can deal with that, but the reason I'm giving them up now is that their delivery prices have gone through the roof! Some are up to $8.49 now! Most are $5.99 or $6.99 when they used to be $2.99. That's ridiculous. And of course, that's in addition to their taxes, fees and drivers tip. Their miscellaneous fees usually add up to more than double the cost of the actual food. No thanks. I'll go pick my food up from now on.

Food (dinner) never delivered after 1.5 hours. Missed my train home. On calling seamless/grubhub, was told driver had a 'language barrier'. Not sure what that means. I'm assuming its a grubhub driver, so they are responsible. NEVER ordering from them ever again. Walk away with your dollars. This $7 bn market cap company doesn't need your money given this level of service.

When I checked the receipt from the restaurant, turned out prices were the same and seamless had marked everything up and stole what I had intended to pay to the restaurant. Does not get any worse than stealing from small businesses during these tough times.

Ordered from a Chinese restaurant that allegedly has no idea that they are linked to Seemless for delivery. Placed the order at 6pm...recieved a notification that the food arrived at 735pm which it did not. My card was charged! And I'm furious!

I do not understand how I even got click transferred to seamless when started my order. The order was completed, paid for, and confirmed. It was cancelled 45 minutes later. When I contacted the vendor I was told they have no relationship with seamless or GrubHub, and that my order was hijacked. They took my money knowing they had no right to it. They confirmed they refunded my money but their rationale for why the problem happened was B.S. Beware of seamless. I will call my card company and claim fraud. Order was on 5/29/20.

I was a member of seamless plus for the last month, but I had to call every day for them to give me a refund of the delivery, because the discount never worked when I finalized the order. After a month without working, I just can't renew the plan anymore and no one helps me to solve it. I have to order food every day there because of my work agreement, and simply no one can solve the problem! I'm trying to be a seamless plus member again, but it seems that they blocked my app so I could register again. I have all case numbers and all emails and proofs.
