This was my best impulse booking ever. The perfect holiday and course. I have tried hard, but found it near impossible to suggest a way to improve the course that I have just returned from. Clearly, the team that run Sail the Canaries have been refining their offering for some time and polished their offering.
The support team are customer savvy, thoughtful and caring.
The sailing instruction is given at the optimum pace for the student needs and experience and our boat was a pretty eclectic bunch (including a cowboy, a Native American and a Geology professor). The team were amusing and great company as well as being super instructors.
When I thought about the 'cost per day,' on my way home, I realised that when I factored everything in, it is the best value holiday that I have been on.
It is a beautiful area to sail and to learn, we visited some lovely ports, and the Canaries some of the best warm weather combined with a good chance of wind.
The home port is ideal and they have secured some of the most convenient berths in the port. There is a good range of restaurants everywhere we stayed.
The boat was really generously provisioned and we could probably lived well on board all week without having to leave the boat.
The boat was spotless and well equipped. The Bavaria 37 seems to be an ideal training and sailing vessel and everyone seemed to be very comfortable on board.
The well selected and motivated team made us all welcome from the first point of contact to the moment we left. They are keen to take and act on any feedback and it shows in their offering.
I loved it, learnt a lot and had great fun.
I will be returning soon.
