Clutch spline diameter advertised as 1 3/8 inch, in reality is much bigger, close to 1 7/16 inch. As the item took time to arrive due to the crisis and fitting was not done right away, then there is no warranty. Also customer support said they cannot guarantee fitment on vehicles that have been modified and are no longer stock and closed the ticket on that note.

Buyer beware: Bought two radiator hoses that indicate a direct fit for my car on the Rockauto website. Charged parts plus shipping. Parts do not fit. Returned them and Rockauto will not cover delivery charges. Not my mistake but I am out over $60. Expensive lesson.

I can’t believe the negative reviews. If you know what you’re looking for, research it, and order on rockauto, you’ll be very satisfied. I’ve ordered from these guys like 10 times now completely happy and satisfied! Don’t be fooled. These guys are the mechanics choice. Jamie

I purchased a 100 dollar part and it came defective. (Verified by the Ford dealership)
Samual from crap auto said I have to pay for shipping to get another one even though the first one never did function. Then I was told I also can't get my money back. Only a replacement if I pay for shipping. I pray horrible things happen to that guy and that crappy company with no idea what customer service is.
Wish I would have read reviews first. Nothing but negative reviews from across the board for the same reasons.
They care more about 8bdollar shipping then keeping a customer.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS! THE REVIEWS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!Ordered a steering gear for F150 that had a $150 core charge. I thought that would be fine, Ill definitely send it in and get my money back. The part shows up and it looks like the box had fallen off the truck, skidded on the highway, been wrapped back up with packaging tape to deliver. Looked the part over, and besides a little scuffing of the paint it looked fine, so I installed it. When it comes time to send in my core I email them to get the process started. Guess what? They wont give me my $150 core charge because the useless box that was totally destroyed by the shipping company that I threw in the trash is required. I could understand if they were going to repackage a new part in it and resell it. This box was going straight in the trash when it hits the remanufacturing company. Customer service refuses to work with me over a garbage cardboard box.
That's a great way to treat your customers. I am restoring 2 old trucks, and was going to buy the bulk of the thousands of dollars worth of parts from them. Not anymore. Ill use their site as a part number reference, and order from Amazon.

Was surprised to read some of the reviews. I have been buying from rock auto for some time now. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with this company. Their shipping has always been on time (most generally early). The parts are always exactly what I order. I will buy from rock auto over most any other parts store. Prices are usually a bit cheaper than others, and I usually have my parts in just a few days. Great place for my needs.

I ordered 4 brand name shocks. Two were right, two were an off brand. Because they had the same number on the shock, Rockauto said too bad for me through their auto response system. (You cannot speak to anybody.) I am a long time customer and have had other issues in the past but I have made my very last Rockauto purchase ever. Try this...go to their site and play around with an order in an attempt to get your parts to get shipped from the same warehouse.

This was my first (and last) experience with RockAuto. The amount of automated steps required to return unopened and duplicated parts was unduly burdensome. I simply didn't send the parts back it was such an arduous process. There was also a part missing. That was about a $50.00 lesson. PLEASE use a locally based part store. Then if you have an issue, there is an actual HUMAN to speak with about your order. RockAuto is a prime example of the worst kind of fully automated poor service business model with absolutely no accountability assigned to anyone. AVOID them.

Ordered parts to rebuild brake calipers on 1966 mustang and seals fit in housing, boots were wrong. They would not take them back because i fit the seals into the housing and when i tried the boots they would not fit. Never assembled the calipers but they refused to take them back and closed my account. Horrible customer svc, DONT BUY FROM THEM! Old seals that fit on the right, new WRONG seal on left.

Ordered a ton of parts for a new project. Most of the stuff showed up on time. One box was shipped DHL and it was lost in transit. DHL won't report it lost and RockAutos website won't allow any corrective action if the tracking number is still valid. I can't get my money back, I can't get a new shipment. I can't contact Rock Auto for help because they have no customer service. And I mean the have NO customer service. Called their corporate office and the answering machine says they offer no telephone or email support of any kind. Wish I had known before I got robbed.

I seen a picture of an A/C condenser that I was looking for so I ordered it. What I received was a completely different part. It was a smaller aftermarket part that looks nothing like the picture. When I tried to send it back, they said that they would refund the part but not the shipping cost. I can see if I just didn't want to part or ordered the wrong part, but it was a completely different part and look nothing like the picture. The first picture is what I ordered and the second picture is what I received. This is a scam and fraud.

They sent wrong part, but said it was the part I ordered. That is incorrect, I gave the model and year of my auto and they selected the part. No fault of mine, the part was wrong and would not fit. I had pictures of the 2 parts side by side but still could not get a full refund. Make room K-Mart and Sears, Rock Auto is coming your way.

Alle bestellten Teile passen perfekt. Sehr schnelle Lieferung aus den USA nach Europa (1 Woche). Selbst neue Teile, die man vorher noch nicht verbaut hatte, können problemlos ausgetauscht werden. Die Datenbank auf der Internetseite ist super - gerade für ältere US-Modelle. Echt Empfehlung gegenüber deutschen Import-Läden, die nur Profit machen wollen und meistens gar nicht wissen, was man benötigt.
All parts ordered fit perfectly. Very fast delivery from the USA to Europe (1 week). Even new parts that have not been installed before can be easily replaced. The database on the website is great - especially for older US models. Real recommendation to German import stores that only want to make a profit and usually don't even know what you need.

I have recently ordered several parts for my 05 gmc truck from rock auto and my experience has been second to none....awesome service,prices and outstanding shipping. I live in New Zealand down under and the last 3 orders have arrived from USA to my door via FedEx in 4-6 days. Unbelievable to be fair. . Cheap poor quality Chinese made parts . They get you by till you can do better.. then placed a couple hundred dollar order I soon discovered they charged me for multiple times and ripped me off making it right. Sent boxes of parts back and thus far barely have been returned enough money to pay return .shipping... Use at your own risk.. good luck

I ordered part and paid $9.99 extra for the fast delivery. Product didn't come on time. Tried to get hold of someone but there is no one to talk. At this point, not only I missed the weekend to fix my car I also lost $9.99 extra for the fast shipping charge but again, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE to talk. I couldn't even find the chat service. How could they treat the customers this way???

I've placed 2 orders with this company for the same vehicle. The side view mirrors did not fit, I had to modify them.
2nd order was a new wind shield wiper motor. It lasted a week and went out on a trip in the rain. I took it to a mechanic to look at it. Figured it must have been a different problem than the new motor. But it wasn't. He installed a new motor, but I can only exchange the junk one Rock Auto sent me.
Will never order from them again.

I'm from Canada but I pick up my orders at a US box to save shipping cost & possibly broker fees some shipping companies charge. Thought I was getting a good deal on my catalytic converter and muffler... boy was I wrong!
1. They have NO phone lines to speak to a live rep. First strike.
2. Both my products were stated to be stainless steel. I will include a photo of my muffler after only two years and tell me that's stainless steel. The pipe rusted clean off !!!
3. Products are required to be shipped back at your expense. It will cost more to ship the muffler back then the cost of the muffler.
4. Catalytic converter body stainless but the connecting pipes aluminized. Be upfront about the product specs.
5. I contacted the manufacturer first and they told me that muffler has NO warranty! Rock Autos website says lifetime warranty. Still waiting to find out which is correct?
2 years later and BOTH the the cat & muffler need to be replaced and have to pay for another install.
Wish I would have checked this site before placing my order.

Ordered a set of spark plugs. I was a little concerned that regular USPS mail would take 12 days but since I didn't want to pay as much for "special handling" as I did for the plugs I went ahead. When they didn't arrive on time I began trying to contact Rockauto. You cannot contact a live person. I finally received a reply to 3 sent email messages saying it would be another 10 days to arrive and the order could not be cancelled "since it had already been shipped".I don't know where in America it takes over 3 weeks for a small package to arrive. Never to use Rockauto again.
