Sent me the wrong part. Was not pictured as stated on their website. Didn't notice the slight difference when installing the pulley. Car never left the driveway. They want me to buy a new part, wait for it, then return the other part that is wrong, then wait for a refund. NOPE, not doing it. I even asked them to just send me a shipping label and I'll send the part back and when they receive it, they could just refund me. Their answer was no.
So, I will no longer buy parts through them.

Paid for a part to be overnighted only for it to not fit. Rock auto refused to reimburse the overnight shipping despite listing the part incorrectly which I verified with the vehicle manufacturer. They are a scam.

I ordered a fuel filter but it did not fit, I actually IMMEDIATELY stated it was the wrong one, they ignored me and sent it anyway. I sent it back stated I wanted a refund, they refused, kept my money and put it back in their system. SCUMBAG CRIMINALS AVOID!

Rock auto is the best place to buy new parts at a discount price. I've not had any trouble out of anything I have ordered. The only issue ive had was getting the wrong color part.. I emailed them about a replacement which resulted in a refund, I was refunded the very next day. Rock auto is the best to say the least..

I have ordered a LOT from Rockauto over the last 8 years or so. They have great prices, reasonable shipping, and big selection. The downside is when a part isnt quite right and you try to return it. They have an automated return process that asks you a bunch of questions to determine what went wrong, and ultimately if they will allow you to return the item(s). Answer one question wrong, and the part becomes ineligible for return, and you are stuck. If the part is simply defective, you probably wont have a problem, but if the part doesnt fit right, and they show it is correct for your vehicle, there's gonna be problems. MOst recent example was a set of wiper blades for my wifes car, (two different sizes). I installed the blades (trico) per instructions, and they seemed to lock into place properly. Well, in the first rain, my wife told me her blades were very noisy and werent wiping well. When I picked up the arm to look at the blade, the blade fell off the arm. The other side was almost as loose. The plastic inserts had weakened and bent inward during use, and the blades would no longer stay locked. I went through the return process for one, and got store credit. When I tried to do the other side, the website told me it was ineleigible for return because it was installed on the car. How would I know it didnt fit correctly if I didnt install it on the car? Of course now the part is locked on the website and the only recourse I have is go through the payment method, which is paypal in this case. All for a 7.00 wiper blade. BEWARE

Tried to place an order online. Mastercard 3d fraud protection would not let me complete my transaction. Called rock auto , very rude, condesending person I talked to. Called Mastercard and they said I did nothing wrong that the 3d program is buggy. Called rock auto left message that if I get my order I will not be ordering again.

"I can not believe that there is no way to contact someone at your company. I received an order from you that I paid overnight shipping on, and the part is defective. I paid more in shipping than the cost of the part itself.
I filled out the refund info and submitted it, but am NOT happy about having to eat $25 of shipping for your mistake.
Now, not only am I out $25 for your error, I have to source the part from somewhere else and pay for it again, the car is taking up space in my shop and I have an irate customer that didn't get her vehicle back as promised.
No wonder you don't want anyone to be able to call you or provide any way for customers to talk to anyone about anything...it's obvious you just don't care as long as you hit your sales volume each month."

I ordered a Genuine Honda Hood, $717 dollars. I paid for shipping to my home. It was lost during shipping. When found, I had to drive 60 miles to pick it up. The box was open and damaged. I did look at it, but did not see any damage at that time. When I fully unpack it, there was significant damage. It was bent at the corners and dented in the middle. I attempted to arrange a return through ROCKAUTO.COM. The website initially ask some general questions, then instructed me to take photos and included an estimate from a body shop. I already have a hood that needs body work, that's the reason I bought a new hood. I complied with instructions, however the website will not allow me to attach the pictures/files. There is no customer service number, no email, or messaging. The help menus are a waste of time. I disputed the charge through my AMEX, I don't no how this going to end, but any company that will not allow you to contact them isn't worth the risk of doing business with.

Shipping rates are expensive and if you complain about receiving a damaged package they don't care they don't offer a refund they just blame the carrier Fed Ex. Will not use again and will not ever recommend. I will use other competitors and pay less for shipping charges and the same price for the same products.
Very displeased, even sent a few emails and got very little reply and or response.

Purchase numerous parts from them. Because of the distance in Hawaii. Haven't had luck with defective parts. Texted Customer Service with no reply. Order a radiator fan assy. with strout and radiator overflow tank. Let then ninety days. Told no warranty. The radiator plastic tank is cracking and losing fluid. Asked if a new plastic defective tank could be replaced. Only no warranty and reply from Customer service in help.

We ordered brakes for our Yukon. Supossively Fed ex delivered it on the following Wed. We did not get our parts! While I realize this happens they asked us to wait until the following Thursday to allow time for Fed X to find parts. This is bad customer service in my opinion. Rock Auto should wait for Fed ex - the customer should immediately be taken care of. The vehicle is down!! Update- we only received half our money back and no one will answer the phone so we can describe our problem. Will not use Rock Auto again!

Looking through the reviews, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've ordered a few parts for my truck through this site and haven't been disappointed yet. I received the correct parts and they were the correct manufacture. Dealing with the core return for brake calipers was super easy, and the parts were cheaper than local auto parts stores. I received the core refund within the time frame they gave. However, I looked through different categories and parts selection for my vehicle and wouldn't trust some of the the parts. Just by the pictures they looked unprofessional. I really don't think I will use the website again looking at the reviews. But my past experiences were good.

This time I asked for my money back. I even had to pay for a return authorization label. What a bunch of sleazy morons. I am a first time and LAST TIME customer. Congratulations. Consider this: 1) No phone number. 2) No Online Chat. 3) No email address. It is clear that they do not want to have to talk to you. I will absolutely never use them again. Contacting BBB.

I buy almost all of my parts from RockAuto, I have 3 older vehicles so it seems I'm always needing to fix or maintain something! I also use RockAuto for my daughters vehicle, and I have a good friend who always uses them, I've never had any problems whatsoever. Parts are great, always reasonable, and super fast shipping! RockAuto sold me faulty camshaft solenoids for my 2015 Chevy Equinox that ultimately cause OVER $1600 damage to my timing system. I bought them to fix a simple stupid error message that was annoying and ended up having to pay out the A** to repair the BS caused by bad parts that they sent! Oh and SURPRISE, SURPRISE: They WON'T MAKE RIGHT EITHER AND AT LEAST REFUND THE COST OF THE FAULTY PARTS! I will be pursuing legal assistance to recover from THEM, at least, the cost of the faulty parts... THEN depending on if this is an isolated incident maybe the manufacturer of the part for ALL the damage to my car! DON'T EVER BUY FROM ROCKAUTO!

Ordered an A/C kit with the compressor, accumulator, expansion valves, gaskets, and oil. They send a kit with an incomplete set of Gaskets and an accumulator that not only had a leak at the High Pressure Valve but also would connect to a 134 high pressure hose. They give 3 options for refund, replace, or pay for you to buy local parts. After saying they can't send new parts and they can't pay for local replacement they say they can only do return and replace or refund and return but now the parts are on the car. Thanks Rock Auto for your wonderful choice of either having a non functioning car for the time being or for dealing with your broken parts :) Update: They offered a small refund for inconvenience that won't even cover a replacement part.

This place is unbelievable, I spent a lot of time trying to order things. The web site has changed to the point I can't use my credit card, or my paypal account....there is no number to call and complain to..I called the bank there no problem with my cards. Looks like rockauto is the problem.....I'm going to pay more but at least won't be a problem ordering parts and getting what I want....do yourself a favor pay a little bit more, with no headache...I use to recommend rockauto all the time, use them for my car projects, not anymore... I have spent over 3,000 dollars here at rockauto in the last 2 years but now my local parts dealer will get my business....go somewhere else these people are not worth the headache......

They have the absolute worst customer service! There is no contact phone number and you have to wait for their email responses. And if you were trying to get some sort of resolution, they will not respond to you. Their database is completely inaccurate. I have ordered from them four times and three times, the part that they said was supposed to fit my vehicle did not. They swapped out the first time but I had to wait to get the correct part and then the hassle of having to ship the incorrect part back. I just bought some windshield wiper blades that they said we're supposed to fit my car and they are not the right kind. But because their website says they will fit, they are saying that I ordered the wrong parts and will not issue a refund or replace them with the correct parts. They want me to pay to ship them back when this was completely their fault. I tried to email their customer service and they refuse to answer me. They are not a bad place to order if you know the exact part number of what you need and you don't have to rely on their awful database because they are cheap but if you ever need any assistance, you are screwed!

I didn't receive my package at all. FedEx said they delivered it from rock auto on the 26th and it didn't come here. Cameras don't lie ! I sent Rock auto an email and they sent me one back finally and said sorry. They don't have a customer service person. Sorry excuse for a company! I told them on the email, I'm calling the 3 biggest tv stations and getting them involved. Oh yeah, of course they got my 200.00 out of my account and I got nothing. I'm telling everyone on Facebook to not use them. I'm out 200.00 dollars and my car is still not working.
