Sadly the bad reviews on this website accurately represent how poorly run this company is. I ordered shoes from the website about four months ago, and returned them a couple of weeks later. Last week, I received a bizarre charge on my paypal account, and it turns out the company automatically arbitrarily charged me again for the shoes, claiming that the first payment did not go through. I called the manager to ask them what is going on and left a voicemail last week. I have not heard back from them.

BEWARE. Worst company ever. I ordered shoes from them never received. After two months order was cancelled. Now 3 or 4 months later I get a charge on my card for 39.99 for a billing agreement I have with them that I knew noting about. They won’t answer the phone or emails.

I placed an order for a pair of Brooks running shoes through from its website and my credit card was charged. But I never received any order status update over 11 days after placing my online order. I was told the shoes are not available after I contacted its customer service and they started to cancel my order w/o notifying me. Very bad experience and will never buy anything from them again.

visited Road Runners Sports in North Brunswick on 9/17/2019. Sabrina helped me find mu perfect running shoe Asics Kayana 26. she was very patient and informative. she knew about all the different brands - iwas interested in switching to Brooks and wanted advise on the pro's and cons. For my needs she did suggest i stay with Asics and she was totally right. she was not pushy and very patient and had a great happy personality.

The claim to have a 90 return guarantee but what they do not tell you is that this window includes shipping to you and their slow return shipping and foot dragging at the warehouse. Bought shoes 5/23 which arrived on 5/29. A part of the shoe was coming apart so I sent them for exchange on 8/14 2 weeks before having the shoes 90 days.
I used their return label and the slowest US Mail would have arrived to them by 8/20. Still a over a week left if you count the shipping time. Now they claim the warehouse did not have them till September 5th. To top it all off they sent an email telling me they would not honor the warranty and that did I want my $110 shoes back or did I want to donate them to charity? Called the company and got no where. No supervisior to talk to either. DO NOT BUY FROM ROAD RUNNER SPORTS.

HORRENDOUS customer service. I will NEVER order again from RoadRunner Sports. I visited the Shrewsbury NJ local store and the sneakers my daughter wanted were not available in the store so Adam ordered them for me on August 31, 2019. To date 9/13/19 I have still NOT received the sneakers. I called the store 3 times and never once did they even answer the phone . I called the 800 # and after being put on hold for 18 minutes Gregg at customer service never even got back on the phone after I explained the missing shoe situation. So much for VIP service for $19.99 I will NEVER buy here again and spread the word and now I am going to fight and deny my credit card VIP charge of $19.99 because I was treated so unprofessionally . They literally have no idea where the sneakers are and could care less.

The WORST company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I purchased. a pair of running shoes They shipped the wrong ones. I returned them within 24 hours. This company then tells me I should expect the correct pair in 2-3 weeks.
Worst customer service. Given the amount of competition, this is unreal. Buyer Beware!

Nice sales guy but not the best! When I needed to return the shoes and they didn't have what I needed for an exchange, the supervisor wanted to give me a gift card, even though I had paid an additional $20.00 to be part of their VIP Family membership.
Want the best? Then head to Craig at Runner's Den at 6505 N 16 street Phoenix and see Craig Davidson. He's been running now over 200,000 miles since 1978 and never missed a day. He's worked for Runner's Den since 1983. Neither the salesman nor the supervisor at Road Runner Sports has been alive that long. I think Craig may have a bit of an edge

Believe the reviews when they say "WORST COMPANY". I completely agree! Tried placing an order on-line. Declined the VIP Family rewards (as hidden charge of $39.99 billed in 6 months). I placed the order and paid full price for the two items. They charged the VIP Membership as well. I called and after waiting on hold for quite a while, I finally spoke w/someone who said they would cancel the VIP and give me the discount for the inconvenience. Fine. Saw the company attempted to bill my credit card 4x. I called them today and was told they were having credit card issues. They would be willing to place the order for me again as the previous order was cancelled; however, they would charge me the full price for the items. Yeah, no thank you! I'll take my business elsewhere and will never look back to this company.

I placed an order for a pair of sneakers through them because it was a couple dollars cheaper than other sites. Six days later they figure out they do not have them in stock and they let me know. The other sites then ran out so I lost out because of how long it took them to realize they did not have them. To top things off they charged my credit card $1.99 for some VIP club which gave me a discount...a discount on an order they never fulfilled! They did not respond to emails but they kept emailing me offers for their site. Finally called and resolved the $1.99 charge. Never again.

I would give this company a 0 if I could. Bought a pair of Hoka's earlier last year, and discovered they never refunded my account (very sneaky). I just bought 2 pair of Hoka's and they didn't fit, so sent them back to be exchanged and they charged me again. They refunded me for two, and only gave me credit for the other 2. I tried all 4 pair on in my living room. I have carpet. I walked in my kitchen and decided they didn't work, and boxed them up. They are claiming wear and tear, so they don't have to give me my money back. I'm so glad that I took pictures of them!!! This is a very very deceitful business. I'm finishing up with them, and no longer doing business with them again, ever. Going to warn others also. Get your shoes in stores, amazon, or anywhere else where they follow proper return procedures. You will be charged for returns also.

I was initially nervous ordering from Road Runner Sports because of the negative reviews on this site, but I went ahead and ordered a 32 oz lilac Hydro Flask. Even though all of my information was correct, I got an email explaining that my order had been cancelled because my information could not be verified. I called customer service and they re-ordered the hydro flask and told me that the other charge would drop from my account. I was even more nervous after this interaction that the money would not be refunded or that my order would come in damaged or incorrect. A few days later, my order came in correctly and the charge was dropped from my account. Because of the other negative reviews and the fact that I did have to interact with customer service, I cannot give this review five stars, but it turned out fine overall.

It seems like every time I order shoes from this company my credit card number gets stolen. I also was charged VIP membership automatically on an old credit card that is still active, but have not used in a very long time and was not listed anywhere under my account. So my credit card information is in their system and apparently not secure. I also returned shoes that were only worn to try on and only received store credit which led me to have to order again and then the above hardly ever used credit card number gets stolen. We just received a new number for the other credit card which was stolen after I ordered the first pair of shoes. Once I get these shoes I am done with them.

I had been sustaining frequent injuries with my old running shoes, and desperately needed a high-quality pair in time to finish training for a half. My first in-store experience was amazing right out the gate! The fitting assessment helped me learn so much about why my feet weren't recovering and what kind of shoe would max my performance. Randi (in the Tualatin, OR location) was so friendly the entire time and walked me through the entire process. I tried on several pairs and eventually found the perfect shoes to accompany my custom insoles. The difference is INCREDIBLE! The pain and tension I had previously learned to ignore has completely disappeared in just a matter of days. I'll be coming back for all my running needs from here onwards – the online store and VIP rewards membership are a huge bonus!

Customer service is clueless. I returned a pair of shoes and they can't seem to find the return in their system! I called back an hour later, got a different woman and she said they got the shoes and would send me an email. A basic email shield up, but I never got one saying what my store credit was. More phone calls to clueless customer service. Not worth the time and aggravation. I'm ordering from another company next time.

I placed an order for more than $300 from Road Runner Sports in large part because they emphasized their customer service. After getting an email two weeks ago that the order has shipped, it has still not arrived. I paid extra for a VIP membership because it would include a 25% coupon. I read the terms carefully and my item was not excluded from this promotion. However, after placing the order, the 25% was not applied.
It was extremely difficult to get a response from them when I reported the problems I was having. It took almost a week to get a generic email. Eventually I was told the only way I can get a refund is if I refuse the order when it arrives. This means I would need to stay home to wait for the package, and assume it will get back to them and processed in a reasonable amount of time. However, there is no evidence this package even exists or was ever sent out! I'm now going to have to enter a dispute claim with my credit card company to resolve this. Please avoid this company even if you think you will get a discount, its not worth it !

I drove a significant distance to Newbury Park, California today based the recommendation of a co-worker for professionally fit walking and running shoes. Having had difficulties in the past selecting shoes myself I looked forward to an experience where I would leave with the shoes that fit me based on the automation RoadRunner advertises. The manager greeted me, introduced himself, and called a sales person over to help me. I explained the foot difficulties I was having, and that I had had plantar fasciitis and my right Achilles had been reconstructed so would need support and padding. The measurements were taken, the visit was going well until abruptly, "I have to go to lunch." I was a bit taken back, thinking I would have had the same individual work with me, but he handed me off to someone else. She did the insoles and asked what size shoe I wanted -- "Doesn't it say that in my recommendation?" and told her I wore size 13's in athletic shoes since my feet could swell a bit when walking a lot. She brought out three pair -- two I couldn't get my feet into (they were 12's), and the 13 was still tight. "Do you want wider or sizes bigger?" Wow, seriously? "I'd rather defer to your experience, what do you recommend?" Asking me what I wanted to do for different sizing, YOU are the expert, YOU make a recommendation when I tell you the shoes don't feel right. Why bring out shoes that were less than size 13's anyway? You want to engender loyalty, and this wasn't it. At that point, she stopped and said, "I need to check some people out at the register," and left. There were other salespeople on the floor greeting new customers and I just sat there on the bench. After several minutes, no word from her, she had also left the registers. Finally, I just gathered my things and walked out. I was ready to spend full price on insoles and pairs of walking and running shoes. I expected a level of professionalism and personal attention that wasn't there. Other than the measurements, it felt no better than going to a Foot Locker in the mall.

I have had nothing but great experiences in buying from Road Runner Sports. Their VIP program is terrific. Get an extra 10% off on product plus cash back for your next purchase, Their shipping is prompt and the packaging is great. Not only is the selection not only on shoes and apparel is good but they have a good selection of accessories also. I just ordered a nice looking pair of running sunglasses and a couple pair of plantar fasciitis socks that I didn't even know existed. I highly recommend Road Runner Sports. Keep up the good work guys!

I came into the store in Concord, CA. I know they're usually and was prepared to wait. No one said hi until about 10 minutes, which is still ok, I get it, they were busy.
I offered to just get the shoes I needed and leave, but they wanted to measure my feet and do the insoles and see me on the treadmill. All fine, I've been buying my shoes here for years so I know that it would take awhile. He went to find my shoes, (I was also there to get shoes for my kid) and came back and said the shoes I wanted were out of stock. Didn't offer to show me other shoes, didn't say lets still get you measured for the insoles, didn't say lets see what we can do for your kid, didn't offer to order them online for me so I could use my Cash Rewards Bonus Event coupon for the extra $10 off, told me the shoe I wanted was out of stock and walked away to help someone else. Eh. So I went online and ordered my shoes, and wasn't able to use the extra $10 off my shoes because the event was in the store.

That was easy. Really appreciated the email that sent regarding the shoes I purchased 8-months ago. I really love those shoes and the fact that you still had a few pairs in-stock allowed me to buy them again.. with my VIP Rewards discount and the extended St. Patrick's day discount.. love saving money and having great products. Your phone support with Shreef on helping me get into my account (since I forgot) was fast and. Buying on line and getting free shipping is a plus as well.
