Other websites have a shipping minimum and Nordstrom doesn’t, it’s always free shipping!
Love their shoes, and if you have a problem with the items you can always return or exchange in a physical store, but I think it’s super easy to return their items to your post office as well❤️❤️

Don't order from Nordstrom -- shipping takes forever and there's a disconnect between their customer service and item deployment. I bought a leather jacket around end of November which is peak holiday shopping season so understandably, shipping would take longer than usual. I ordered from multiple other companies at the same time though and Nordstrom by far took the longest (took almost over a month!). I recently also bought two items from the website and one order was cancelled because it was "out of stock" yet it was never updated on the website. I contacted customer service the very next day to cancel the second item and they pushed me to rebuy the first item (saying it was in stock now...). Nevertheless, they promised me the second item would be cancelled and yet I checked my email a few hours later and saw the second item was shipped anyway...

If you look below you will see this order was made on Valentine's Day, and according to Nordstrom it was processed just after 5:00 PM. The receipt is for an order with a Delivery Date of February 14th, Valentine's Day. It was a Valentine's Day gift card.
And it was not actually sent out until about 4:00 AM on February 15th...the day after Valentine's Day. Naturally, given all the electronic assurances from Nordstrom this was a Valentine's Day order, a Valentine's Day gift, to be delivered on Valentine's Day, which was processed on Valentine's Day, and given it takes seconds to send out the card in an email, I would never have dreamed Nordstrom would fail to send the card until the next morning.
This resulted in a very negative and unpleasant misunderstanding with my wife, and truly the absolute worst Valentine's Day either of us has ever experienced. I did not write this until the 19th so as to ensure my emotions were in check before so doing.

I am so sorry for other customers’ bad experiences with Nordstrom online orders. I have to say that the past two years of being a Nordstrom customer have been great! My shipments were sent out within a day and arrived quickly. I did have one issue as a new customer when I placed an order for multiple items but did not specify the shipping speed for each item in the order; didn’t know I had to. So I was charged extra for shipping on one item. I called customer service and they cordially refunded the shipping cost. I just wish they offered coupons for Nordstrom cardholders.

Today I drove an hour to shop at Nordstrom’s Short Pump (VA). I tried to buy a Theory jacket for around $400. My Nordstrom’s charge card was rejected. Apparently it expired in October 2018 and I didn’t notice. I asked if they could renew it. Sure. She asked for my driver’s licenses, keyed in the info and it found no record of my ever having an account. Called the manager who tried to figure out how to call the credit dept. She eventually reached them. First they said they had no record of me, then finally said my account was closed due to insufficient activity. Ok, didn’t know there was a purchase level required. I’ve maintained about the same level for 25 years. Please reopen it. Salesperson said she couldn’t do it. I’ve had a Nordstrom’s account for 25 years, my credit is superb. They never even tried to direct me as to how to reopen it. They lost a $400 sale and a good customer. What has happened to a store always known for excellent customer service?

Why does Nordstrom email my order ships but 4 days later UPS shows label created but package not received by them? This happens each time I order with Nordstrom. Not only is delivery time inordinately long but tracking is confusing and deceptive. I’m a long time customer but one order away from changing that.
I emailed about a botched order last month and never received a response! I guess Nordstrom is soon to follow the other brick and mortars....

I love Nordstrom and really hate to write this but I feel impelled to say my truth. It seems like every single time I order on-line for delivery or customer pick-up the order is messed up. One time the purses stitching was all messed up, another time rhinestones were missing, another time there were scratches on the wallet. I guess I give up on trying to order anything on-line. To be fair, if you go into the store everyone is really nice and professional and your order will never be messed up. Based on my experience, buy in-store and you won’t have any issues!

They have a strict return policy but as long as you have your receipt or the label on the merchandise (which also a receipt) or should purchase and provide your contact information and their computers keep a receipt for you. Bottom line you MUST have your receipt and they do not give cash refunds...

Really surprised about the negative reviews. I've always had incredibly great customer service with Nordstrom; if I'm buying something risky size-wise online, I'll usually order it to pick up in store (since I live near a few) and will try it on in store and return it then and there if I need to.
Nordstrom has extremely lenient return policies; since I almost exclusively return items in-store, I can't really speak to the online return process. I have seen women return WORN underwear (it was immediately thrown away by the saleswoman, obviously) for a full refund. I myself have returned worn items even a year later, without a receipt or tag; they just look up the sale by either your name or when you bought it or by credit card. It's slightly more hassle to return without a receipt but worth not spending money on items that don't work out.
Sometimes the quality of items can be a little off, but considering the ease of returning, I have no fear of getting stuck with bad items. If a pair of shoes wears down in a few months, I know I can easily return them; I've found that most salespeople are extremely understanding about quality issues and will do whatever they can to correct the issue.
I have never had issues with them overcharging me, or charging me on orders that have run out of stock before shipping. I certainly would not have the audacity to attempt to return an item a few days after I bought for a "refund" because the price went down; I think it's very rare that companies will comply with such requests. I've seen difficult customers get offered huge price cuts—once a woman was throwing a fit in the store about having to wait for customer service in the shoe department and ended up getting a $300 pair of shoes for only $50.
To say that Nordstrom has bad customer service—especially in-store—is absurd. I can understand a few isolated instances with salespeople, but overall as a company they are much more customer-oriented than the majority of large retailers. In my experience, most salespeople will jump through many hoops to ensure that their customers leave happy.

Ordered a coat through nordstrom.com. A Men's XL coat. Received a Small Under Armour T-Shirt. Called customer service today to let them know of the mix-up and have them send me the coat that I ordered. The representative informed me that the coat that I ordered is "no longer available" and that it sold out. I don't understand how they could oversell the coat when my order should have been filled properly the first time. I was upset and asked for a refund. She then says I will have to send the T-Shirt back to them and once they receive that, they can refund my account. HAHAHAHA. So, not only have they sold the coat I ordered to someone else because they didn't fill the initial order correctly but now I have to take time out of my day to send their mistake back to them before I get my refund. What a joke Nordstrom. I've had great success with you for years but this has soured my desire to continue to shop with you. There are many other competitors out there that would not have taken this approach and they will be getting my future business.

I've never had better customer service! Basically if Nordstrom sells it, that's where I purchase it. Their free shipping/ free return shipping means that shopping for clothes and shoes is stress-free. Even during the Anniversary sale, they process returns pretty quickly, and customer service is knowledgeable and friendly.
They don't have insane sales except for the Anniversary Sale, but if you watch, when the quantities get limited on something, the prices really go down, so if you're lucky enough for it to be your size, you can get great deals that way. They also price match, so you don't have to worry that someone else is cheaper.
I just can't say enough good things about Nordstrom. Not everything I've bought there lived up to my expectation, but that's what free return shipping is for! I've recommended them to several people, and I've never had anyone come back and tell me they had a bad experience.

The four star is because they don’t always send brand new merchandise and also their inventory never changes. They need better buyers.

I went to Nordstrom in Bellevue, WA, expecting to buy a jacket for an up coming trip. After wandering aimlessly for a few minutes I finally asked what happened to the Petite Department. I was told that Petite clothes were now intermixed in all the departments and I would have to look in each department for petite styles. We started to do this, but found that most hangers marked petite had regular size clothing and the majority of styles only come in regular sizes. I asked for help again only to be told they couldn’t find any either and that I should shop on line or engage the personal shopping service. Gee, thanks Nordstrom. Good to know that smaller people are not important customers to you. I asked about other specialty sizes and found they still have a quite large separate area for plus sized shoppers. Since I can’t shop here without a hassle, I will be closing my Nordstrom account which I have had for over 30 years.

I ordered leather jacket during the Thanksgiving period in '18 that supposed to entitle a $50 gift card in January for that purchased item over $250. However, I never received that gift card email. Sent them an email in January and never received a response. Even worse, I called in February to hear that the promotion had expired. The reward people including the supervisor John checked and found out that they made mistake not including me on the recipient list for gift cards but they can't do anything about it. Then John commented that it is interesting if I write a review with unsatisfactory experience. This large corporate seems to have a long way to improve their customer services unfortunately.

WHY I'M BREAKING UP WITH NORDSTROM (forever).
I have been a 20+ year customer and credit card holder of Nordstrom, having spent tens of thousands of dollars with them over the years. Recently, I had such a cascade of terrible experiences with them, that I decided to cancel my card and leave them forever.
I wrote a blog post about it on LinkedIn, entitled: "Has Even Nordstrom Lost Its Way?"

I have been regularly shopping at Nordstrom Rack and occasionally at Nordstrom for two years now. I have, within the last six months or so had a brick and mortar store move in half an hour away. Before this, there was no brick and mortar store close by. I shop online like many women do. I look for what I think will look good on me, which is not always easy to tell when they only use slim build, no curves women for their models and sometimes I think I can base it on experience. This does not always prove true however. Free People is one recent example of that. I normally wear a medium in them, so I purchase three tops in medium. They were so small a twelve year old is about the only size female that could conceivably wear them.
The point is, aproximately sixty percent of what I order doesn't work out...rarely, but sometimes I strike out...just as if I'd been able to find these items in the store (which I can't) and try them on in the dressing rooms. On a side note, I have checked the local store regularly. They cater to the small and medium sized customers and tend to carry more of the styles which don't appeal to me and majority of tops which are polyester...which I avoid because it doesn't breathe and I don't want to be part of the death of ocean life. So, after I spent over $400 this last ten months at Nordstrom's stores, I receive and email saying if I continue to shop as I have, they will shut down my account and refuse my returns and business.
I return everything that I bring back clearly unworn...some of which there's no way I could wear and with tags attatched. I guess my $400 is worthless to this snooty company. I called and explained that due to the lack of availability of product which appeals to me, in store, and lack of realistic display by models for those of us with bigger busts and some curves, this is how I will shop thier store. They just repeated what was stated in the email. I told them if that's the case I will take my business elsewhere. I may not spend thousands like some people do in one store, but $400 is a good chunk of my clothing budget that I'm certain another store would be happy to have. I also informed them I will be leaving reviews about my negative experience with this everywhere.
I am inconvenienced when I have to drive half an hour each way to make returns or for that matter go looking for tops that will work for me again because some didn't. Shopping when you don't look like a straight board with no shoulders, like all their clothing models, is already sometimes frustrating enough without dealing with such a rude company. Save your heard earned cash for someone who cares about providing better customer service.

Purchased a Burberry purse and paid extra shipping cost for 2 day delivery to ensure it would be here for Christmas. After 4 days and still not in all they would do is say sorry and cancel the order. Not much help with no time left to get another. Poor service and never seem to have much of what they show online in a store. Last time I deal with Nordstrom.

Very very disappointing custom service. DON'T EVER BUY ONLINE if you don't want to have your order hanging around for 2 months and to be unable to cancel it. I have chased them for a while and they took forever to sort my issue out and did a mess by the end with my credit card being credited and debited more than once. I have never had such a bad experience with online shopping before
