Great experience ordering home delivery.
Having never ordered from Next before, I was a little apprehensive, after reading some reviews.
I ordered the large sunburst mirror, which was £150 from the website.
This was delivered successfully, with notifications from the delivery team of a date and rough time. Upon arrival, the drivers were really friendly, the mirror was packaged very well and the mirror itself is absolutely stunning!
Will definitely order online with Next again :)

Unfortunately next online ordering is as bad as it gets, on more than three occasions I have not received my order, and when I enquired after over a month was told it’s no longer available.
No apologies .
Way to long a wait for delivery, I mean months, just unacceptable.
Next need to get there act together.

I placed an order with Next Home for a some bedroom furniture. The item I was after was marked on the website as 'in stock - delivery within 5 working day'.
I will skip the details, but its been 6 weeks and I still dont have my item to an ETA for delivery. Both Next Customer services and Next customer complaints stopped responding to my enquiry.
It was only when I escalated the case to my payment supplier that Next started to reply, at which point it was too late. I was eventually (After 6 painful weeks, and ONLY with the help of my bank) able to get my money back.
Please avoid next delivery, as you will see from the various reviews, this is not an isolated case and is honestly a real shame. Not only have I been let down, but this was my first order with next, and now my last.

Really shocked that Next have such a low score, as my experience has been exemplary both in product quality and customer service.
Clothes are a little pricey, but that’s acceptable as the clothes are good quality and last a lot longer than cheaper budget brands such as George and Tesco.
Where Next excel is with staff training, find everyone very friendly and eager to help, staff just seem to be very professional and knowledgeable of their products.
Only use Next for wife and kids clothes, treated the wife to a complete outfit in the summer and she loved it.

I ordered a £399.00 light via online account, told that due to the size the item required home delivery. Given a date of 16th September so booked the day off.... light never turned up. Contacted the home delivery department and had to reorder the light, given a date of 24th September and arranged for this to be delivered to my parents address, they stayed in all day .... YOU CAN GUESS.... never turned up !!! I have contacted several times via telephone and messenger and we are now the 30th September and still no light, no contact from next. Appalling home delivery team and service ... I have asked for a manager to contact me ..., still waiting. Not even worth 1⭐️.

Ordered on the 30th of September on nextdirect. com/nl/nl, haven't received anything so contacted the 'customer service' by phone: aren't able to find my order, yet the money is transferred with all detail information in my bank transaction copy made by iDEAL via Worldpay. Aren't thinking about helping you, only thinking about how to get rid of you since they are not willing to contact the Payment Service Provider nor suggesting anything to help, other than sending you to your bank to get your money back.

After having a delivery issue, due to a mistake made by the pick up point shop owner, I had two honestly delightful phone calls with Next customer services. Both calls were pleasant, professional and helpful.
I've never had any major issues with Next and have been offering online with them for years.

Wanted to order some made to measure blinds. Went into the store near me and searched for ages for someone to help, was told by everyone it’s ‘not their department’, when I did finally find someone from the correct department, they said they ‘had lots to do already today and didn’t have time to waste with me when I should just go online and do it at home’
Incredibly rude, even the other staff were embarrassed by how rude they were.
Have shopped there for years but won’t be going back.

I ordered some light fixings online by complete accident (I guess) as I paid via paypal. The order picked up my old address, there was no option online to change this or cancel the order, so I left it to the following morning to ring next and sort out.
I was in touch 8 am on Monday morning to request a change of address or cancel my order that was due 5 days later! I was told neither were possible, despite expressing how appalling I was at this, I was left with one option - that Next would advise the courier not to deliver the items, the items would be returned and refund issued.
Delivery day - Items were delivered!! I was straight on to Next, who did absolutely nothing, except advise they could ASK their courier to go back and collect the items (I can only assume this did not happen)
I couldn't believe what they were saying, safe to say I complained, and was told they would open an investigation and come back to me within 48 hours. We are now a week on from this and still nothing from Next.
I guess they don't really care, Next have had their money, and my items have been delivered to someone else and I’m now out of pocket.
Absolutely disgusting if you ask me, and appalling that they will treat customers like that.
Will definitely not be shopping at Next again.

My sons birthday is a fortnight away and he chose two shirts from Next as his present. He sent me the internet link and I ordered them online. I chose to collect them from my local Next Store as I thought that this would be more reliable than parcel delivery and cheaper. After I had made my purchase and paid in full I received a confirmation email stating that my order would be available at my chosen store from 12PM on the 14th October. This is Three Weeks after my fully paid order has been confirmed. It also stated that this delivery date could not be guaranteed. However, had I paid the extra delivery charge I could have received my order within 5 days. Just another example of a money grabbing company advertising a service that they have no wish to deliver on. By deliberately delaying online orders to their own stores that are free delivery, they hope to coerce people into paying for the delivery. I won't be buying from them again either online or their High Street Shops. Avoid online purchasing unless you are prepared to pay for the delivery charge.

Poor quality furniture. A spring sticking out after 4 years of normal treatment and Next don't want to know. Maybe this is why they only guarantee furniture for 1 year.

It seems that just about every review is BAD - I thought perhaps mine was an isolated case, but NO - Check below. These are they signs that a company is about to go under. BE WARNED - READ the reviews BEFORE you use NEXT. YOU COULD LOSE YOUR MONEY.
I ordered two pieces of furniture and paid for a delivery today. I have waited all day and they have NOT been delivered today as promised. The tracking sent by NEXT useless. It just states that goods were at the courier yesterday!
The customer support people are unhelpful and could not care less. They have no way of tracking an item with their courier, Hermes and there is no 'live' tracking of the drivers. I also tried the 'chat' system but it was one-sided. I asked my question THREE TIMES but go NO answer.
I look forward to reading that NEXT has joined the ever growing list of High Street stores that have gone out of business for the poor service they provide.
They have my money, have not sent the goods and JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN.
Luckily I paid by Credit Card so I will claim under Section 75 to get my money back. Perhaps NEXT are about to go under?

(How can a clothesline company NOT HAVE A FREAKING SIZE CHART for their underwear line for online order?!!) Am I supposed to guess my size now? This is a copy of my conversation with customer service! So don’t dare to ask me to “contact you customer service” again!
This problem have been existing since years.
Talk about laziness!

Itam I bought has ripped in the seams they won’t take it back without a receipt. Wilco’s started doing the same I will not be shopping in there again if something is broke fix it thay always had good customer serves in the past .

Brilliant customer service from Next! I ordered a recliner sofa from the Next sale back in July. Unfortunately only half of the sofa was delivered as the other half was lost. Full credit to Next for their fab customer service here. When I phoned them, they said I could have a brand new sofa of my choice and they would price match it to the value of the recliner sofa that I had ordered. So I then got to pick the fabric of my choice and have just taken delivery of a brand new recliner sofa for the sale price.

I would like to take this moment to congratulate Next on their new improved super efficient business model.
STEP 1 I ordered 3 pairs of jeans for next day delivery.
STEP 2 I then receive a message apologising but that there will be a delay in delivering these items to me.
STEP 3 I receive an email saying that they have received my returns and that my account has been credited the mount that I paid for them.
Next have managed to cut the customer entirely out of the process as I have never received the jeans that I ordered. Surely a new level of incompetence has been reached here by the ever calamitous Next. Congratulations you are absolutely awful. You couldn’t run a bath

Ordered from next so many times and never had any issues. I shop in the Guildford store regularly and although customer service isn't amazing, it is acceptable which is pretty much on par with most other retail stores now. Overall I have always had good experiences when shopping with next.

Ordered two wardrobes and two sets of drawers with assembly. 9 minutes before the delivery time I received a phone call stating that the delivery team were not able to assemble my furniture. This was due to a tiny statement in the product description saying ‘self assembly’. Nowhere on the page does it state that the next assembly team wouldn’t build it due to it being ‘self assembly’. Very unclear and one very unhappy customer. I chose Next because of the assembly service and I would not have ordered these products if I had known that the assembly service wasn’t available with the products that I had ordered.

Customer call center is terrible. I called my local store and was put through to a generic Next call center like so many retailers do these days.
The adviser could hardly speak English, i had to spell the store name 3 times using the phonetic alphabet and he still put me through to the incorrect store.
When I did eventually get through to my local store I asked the sales adviser if a particular bar stool was on the shop floor, he advised even if the system says they have it, they probably won't. I could tell he had no real interest in looking for me and not to my surprise was told there was no stock on the shop floor even though the system said they had stock. I wanted to buy 6 bar stools at £125 each but obviously could not do so. "Next" take note, this is exactly why large well established like yourself go under.

From purchase in store (lovely helpful lad) to delivery I have no complaint, settee is perfect. Guys were polite and didn’t complain about carrying to third floor, both gentleman, they built settee and tidied up. Fantastic!!!! Also earlier delivery of mats on time to the minute 👍🏻👍🏻Can’t understand these bad reviews 😩

Nicola is an extremely positive and proactive individual with a charismatic nature who took sole responsibility for a problem with an order that went wrong, she offered various solutions to the problem (which, we explored), monitored the replacement order, provided regular updates and always made me feel like a valued customer ....with a gesture of goodwill.

I popped into Next in Littlehampton yesterday, may come under Rustington, West Sussex, with my mum. My mum had six items on hangers and a pair of shoes. I spotted something as my mum was about to pay and as I walked away I said, leave the clothes on the hangers Mum, we can hang them straight in the car.
I’ve been shopping in next for far to many tea to mention and have always kept my hangers, particularly since we’ve started being charged for bags, this has never been a problem in any next store I’ve been too.
I heard my mum ask the woman to leave the clothes on the hangers and the woman replied, no, we re-use our hangers. I turned around and asked her, since when? She replied, always, we don’t give them to customers. I asked, just in this branch, she said, no, all next!
I explained that this has never happened before and in a huff she said, oh, I’ll give you a couple.
Her attitude was appalling and she started banging the clothes on the counter.
I said that if we don’t buy a bag she will pass us the clothes in a pile like rags.
At that point my mum said leave it, she is always rude. Apparently every time my mum shops in this particular next this woman is rude.
This woman continued to mumble under her breath and her colleague came over, who incidentally had been very helpful while we were shopping and tried to defuse the situation...
The woman was called Alison and in all the years I’ve shopped in Next I’ve never experienced anything like it!
I’m not sure what leaving this review will do, I just hope if others have the same or similar experience they will leave a review and maybe Next will give this woman some customer service training!

Bought two sofas and a bed. Sofa takes 6-7 weeks which is fine but now a notification on the website says they'll be delayed. No saying how long for.
The bed turned up with a broken leg. Again, fine, things happen. However, it took over a week for a replacement to arrive after Next gave the wrong delivery address and then the replacement just didn't show up on second attempt. On the third attempt, two new broken legs showed up.
So now I've taken two days off work, have 4 bed legs in my house, 3 of which are broken and am looking at no bed for at least another 3 days.
To top it off, communication from Next has been awful and I only know what's going on because I've been calling them. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have been told any of the intended delivery days.
There's vague talk of a "gesture of goodwill" from Next but they aren't even putting much effort into fixing the issue so I don't hold much hope. I'll never buy from Next again and strongly recommend avoiding them.

When you order an item online it should be immediately available in your order history. You should then be able to edit this order or cancel.
You should not have to use online chat or call to check you have ordered something or that it is the correct size.
Once you order you should get an email saying what you have ordered.
