5/10/2019 Car Broken into!
I was parked at the Regents park NCP under the holiday Inn, my car was broken into, luggage stolen and I am told 'it happens all the time' by regular attendants who work in the car park!
This was a very costly incident, what do I get for damaged car, stolen property and hassle NCP? RESPOND to me personally, I have sent and email complaint.

I prebooked ref. NCP-DW-9196373, paid £6 and arrived on time in Leeds The Core.
I scanned QR code first from print, then from email - "you place is booked" or similar was displayed but then nothing, no ticket, no barrier. No one answered the intercom, and on the display, the message changed to "please press the button" or similar, so I pressed and got the ticket, barrier raised. Later, I found out that it was standard, regular ticket and I had to pay £15.20 ON TOP of that.
"No operators are available at this time. Operators may only be available during office hours. The time is currently 12:00 pm." - that's their webchat.
No reply to complaints by emails. Nothing.
Lesson learnt, now it's time to test the competition.

Customer service for NCP is a joke.
if you ever get over charged for parking don't expect to get the money returned to you.
after several phone calls to NCP i got nowhere.
as for Trustpilot star rating it should read minus 5 star.

We prepaid for weekend parking at Brighton Russell Road car park.
Upon arrival, the barrier did not recognise our number plate, there was nobody answering call assist & so we were forced to take another ticket.
I emailed the booking enquiries team all weekend, no response.
Upon exiting the car park after our weekend visit, the Call Assist phone was not working on BOTH barriers. We called the 0345 assistance number given on the booking and as this was a Sunday, it was deemed outside of Office hours & so we were forced to pay again else there was no way for the barrier to be raised. We felt that we were being held hostage.
Thus we have ended up paying twice for our weekend (pre-booked) parking space.
This is a disgraceful attitude to have, NCP should hang their heads in shame !!

The worst carpark ever!!!!!!!!!
We decided to park in a secure
carpark during our day trip to London, but how wrong were we.
We got to Adams row, Mayfair NCP at Aprox. 3pm on the 25/8/2019. After spending the day in London we got back to the car about 10pm to find the rear window of the car smashed and all our belongs taken from the boot.
We had about 4 bags as we were traveling back from a wedding the night before.
We had expensive and valuable items/ clothes etc along with a MAC pro laptop.
We feel like someone must have known that there were valuable items in the car( someone must be watching us). When we parked the car initially, we were fixing our belongings in the back of the boot (that’s when the bags must have been spotted). No other car was broken in to, made us feel we were definitely being watched.
We didn’t leave any valuables in sight. How did they know to choose that car? Indicates we were being watched. We called the police, but obviously they didn’t come out, and they still haven’t been in touch regarding this!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are still trying to recover things with insurance etc, but no luck yet. PLEASE DO NOT PARK HERE!!!!!! THIS CAR PARK NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. We are completely devastated.

Parked in Southport Victoria Road car park. Machine uses an automated payment system, where you enter your reg number and it tells you how much you need to pay. Paid (by card).
2 months later, receive an "fine" through the mail demanding £100 for staying longer than I had paid for. I appealed, proving I had paid £4 (checking online shows that the 'pre-booked' price is £3.50). They refused the appeal, saying I had only paid for 1 hour!
I am waiting for the response from the further appeal (via POPL). Absolutely disgraceful company.

Still awaiting reply from Customer Services after being prevented from exiting car park until paying another £50 on top of my pre-booking fee. There were no operatives at the car park to assist, not even on call-assist. I've been trying via webchat, phoning customer services and email to get a refund. One Customer Services employee was extremely rude, and cut me off. I've had no reply by email. I am shocked by this (lack of) service - I genuinely didn't think such a well-known company would be able to get away with it. Needless to say, I don't think £90 for less than 48 hours car parking is good value!

@HelloNCP this is what happened to my car whilst in your Adams Row car park in Mayfair. Back window smashed and bag stolen. Appeared to be a manned facility but wasn’t. No one to help, called the call centre who said sorry, the t&c’s (that are obscured and so tiny you can’t read them) say we aren’t liable and you still have to pay! Won’t be using an NCP again.

The only reason I've given 1 star is because zero is not allowed! This company are no more than scam artists who are not happy with the fact that they are making millions from honest paying customers. Instead they wish to rip you off with parking charge notices when the customer has innocently followed they payment instructions they provide. I parked in Southport Victoria Street some months ago and paid the on screen fee of £4.00 on my card. A couple of months later I get a £100 fine through the post saying I didn't pay enough. I've appealed this but it has been rejected and they are demanding the money. I see someone else has commented below with the exact same issue at the exact same car park. Utterly disgraceful company who need thoroughly investigating for their terrible treatment of innocent people. I'd rather pay double the parking fee elsewhere; never to be used again!

Glasgow Airport Website states...
“Book with us today for peace of mind, knowing your car is safe and secure while you’re away.”
“Our car-parks are monitored by CCTV and have regular security patrols to ensure that your vehicle remains safe and secure”
Came back to car after two weeks holiday to find it damaged down the drivers side. Reported it to onsite NCP staff who took a report. Followed up with NCP. This is the NCP email response ......
Case Reference 2165342
I am emailing today in relation to your recent experience while parking at Glasgow Long Stay Car Park.
The safety of our customers and colleagues at all of our sites is very important to us. We have a dedicated team who monitor and review our car parks to ensure that we are doing what we can to minimise risk.
We would draw your attention to our terms and conditions which state:-
“You should be aware that the Car Park is open to the general public. We cannot guarantee that members of the general public will not enter our Car Park and cause damage to property and/or engage in criminal activity. Accordingly, you park your vehicle in the Car Park at your own risk. We cannot and do not guarantee the security of your vehicle and/or its contents.”
With regards to CCTV coverage we would advise:-
“We may install CCTV cameras in the Car Park at our discretion to assist in its proper running. We acknowledge that the cameras may act as a deterrent to criminal activity, but do not make any representation as to the coverage provided or guarantee of the security of your vehicle if CCTV is installed in the Car Park”.
If the damage to your vehicle was caused by a Third Party then under the Highway Code they should have provided their details. We apologise that this was not the case.
Unfortunately after looking into this with the car park manager, in this instance liability for the damage has been denied
I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We got a really good deal and although the Car Park was not easy to find we eventually got there. What no-one tells you is that the car park is in the ULTRA LOW EMISSION ZONE. There is no mention of this on the car park web site. We were on our first car visit to London and were unaware until we got a Fixed Penalty Notice for £80 for non-payment,

I booked online for a car park connecting to Terminal 5. NCP Hilton came up as the appropriate car park. I booked and paid for it. On the day of my flight I found that the NCP car park was some 20 minutes drive from the terminal! Yet when I booked, it did not say that this car park requires use of a shuttle service i.e. 20 minutes ride (plus waiting time to get the bus shuttle). It should have stated, 'This car park requires bus shuttle service and time allowance should be made). It didn't say this. I missed my flight! NCP say that I should read the small print... They even refused to re-imburse me £12 prepaid shuttle passes included in the booking, as I did not collect same when I parked at the Hilton Hotel. I didn't have time to collect passes as I had a black cab waiting for me to take us straight to the airport! They have point blank refused to repay me the £12 for the shuttle passes
and needless to say, I will never use NCP again! I will send this to The National Press and BBC Watchdog and make this sad story about NCP as public as I can.

Last night we had to leave our car in the NCP car park at the Royal Garden Hotel, London. Never never never again will I use an NCP car park. £32 to park for three hours I consider to be extortion at its best, however to add insult to injury when I called for help on the machine to find out how to pay by debit card I was left waiting and waiting and waiting with no answer, meaning we had to stay in the car park even longer (and no doubt pay even more) to go back out in to the street find an ATM. Even though it says you can pay by debit card, it would appear you can’t. The car park itself is awful. It’s dingy and eery and felt like somewhere you might be mugged. It was really difficult to get to because of the unbelievably narrow spiral to hell which threatens your alloys the whole way down to the desolate and very poorly marked out car park. Once in it was really difficult to navigate out of. This put a really sour taste on what should have been a good night from the point of arrival to the point of leaving. Thanks NCP and now we’re £32 lighter for the pleasure. I will 100% never use an NCP car park again.

I was charged £7 for what should have been £3.
No change is given and I was conned into buying a second ticket!
As the ticket i got from the parking machine ran out at 4:30 a.m. in spite of the fact that I had bought it at about 19:00 on the Saturday evening , expecting 24 hrs, I decided not to risk a fine or wheel clamp and returned to to the machine at 12::30 (30 mins after midnight) assuming a faulty machine. I would have rather been in bed.
This now being Sunday( I had expected 24hrs parking for my first £3 (£4)) but NO the machine churned out yet another ticket which expire on Sunday 04:30. I.E. The same as Yesterday's ticket.
Another gentleman with no connection to me fell into the same trap. I met him at the machine. when both of us would rather have been in bed. We swapped telephone no.s in case of any comeback.
So two of us out of pocket to the sum total of £7 .
Not a lot, but multiply that by all the poor suckers who have been caught this way!
Shame on TRAVEL-LODGE for recommending this car park .
Walthamstow Central. Saturday/ Sunday 25/26th August, Bank Holiday weekend.

We used the NCP Regents Park because it was close to the hospital and we needed a car park we could trust.
Unfortunately we had a doubly bad experience. We ended up being charged twice.
And, our car was broken into. They do not have CCTV covering the car park so we have no way of pursuing the damage done to our car.

Can only speak as I find. Booked non cancellation parking at Norwich Airport and due to unforeseen medical emergency with a family member meaning we cancelled our holiday emailed on the off chance that they may take this into consideration. Didn’t expect to hear anything so was pleasantly surprised to receive an email stating a full refund would be processed. Thank you NCP

My husband parked at the Lee Circle car park which on a good day I saw a blood soaked, needle littered hell hole. But on this occasion that machine ate his ticket and wouldn't let him out! He explained to the man operating the help/call button that his wife I saw heavily pregnant and he needed to be let out and the man hung up on him! Meanwhile I tried to contact NCP via live chat and phone- no one answered!

NCP is a truly terrible rip off company. They keep introducing random problems with pay by phone so they can fine you. Charges are far too high as well. Avoid them if you possibly can.

Con artists!!!! dropped a friend off and got fined £100 for not paying for parking even though I was in there minutes. Appealed and they agreed to reduce to £10 but I never received the reply email !!!!! only had contact after a final reminder demanding £100 stating I’ve now lost my right to appeal to POPLA as it’s passed 28 days and if I don’t pay within 14 days, it will go to a debt agency and incur their costs. Complete scam and they should be investigated.

ROBBING SCUM BAGS!!!!
DO NOT USE CAR PARKS!!!!
Gave me a ticket despite there being no way to pay, so I called them they said if the machine was broken I would not get a ticket.
2 months later I receive a ticket in the post, I had 4 days left before the 14 day early payment was over and after 2 and a half hours on the phone to random people in NCP.....I caved and decided to pay these...rhymes with STICK HEADS....

Had my car windows smashed in this Sept 2019 in apparently secure NCP parking beneath Royal Garden Hotel Kensington.
Was parked in a well-lit area.
Saw lots of other cars with boot windows smashed - absolutely raid nightmare
What a joke this supposed secure parking is - am furious.

Thanks NCP for fining me £100 for overstaying my 2hr parking ticket by 20 minutes.
I guess there's no excuse for being delayed in a meeting, but i do find the charge excessive and opportunist.
Don't worry I shall not grace this car park, nor your airport parking which I use regularly, ever again.

I regularly park in King Street Car Park in Glasgow. I have a FlexiPark account with NCP. My vehicle registration is automatically read on entry and exit and my bank account is deducted with the appropriate amount. No problems you think..... But their system failed and my account wasn't debited for a few days. I went on holiday and by the time I came back I had 5 penalty notices for unpaid parking. I telephoned assuming that of course it would be rectified and I appealed the process on line as requested. On the phone i was told it was an error and they would get back to me. They didn't and so a week later I called again. After waiting for 20 minutes to get through I was cut off. Then when I got through the person said that had to speak to a supervisor then told me he had spoken to the supervisor who told them to transfer me to another service. The other service turned out to be a voice message only with no transfer option. I called back again and spoke to Shaun Brown at NCP who was very helpful. He told me that the flexipark system was, contrary to the online information, still functioning and that there had obviously been a mistake (yes) and that he would speak to the car park manager who would be able to confirm the dates of the problem and get back to me. I have now received another appeal rejection by email, this time stating that it is my responsibility to check an automated system daily, which is designed to avoid having to do that, every time I use it. The appeal indicates that the system is no longer functional. So the person says it is functional, the email says it is not. They say I have failed because their system failed. They have not fulfilled their contract with me which is a legal matter and blame me. I will never pay and I will never give up. I have told them that I am of course very willing to pay the correct charge for the time I was in their car park. NCP your customer service is beyond poor. I will be seeing my doctor this week as I have mental health issues that are being exacerbated by this ludicrous charge for £500 if I don't pay up now. Please NCP just end this foolishness.

We parked in the NCP car park next to the Brighton Centre
at 9.06am and we left at 2.55pm. On the wall outside on a large sign in giant letters it states that you can park all day for £8.50. for the day. We thought that's what we would be charged but no, we were charged £32.00!!
We then noticed at the bottom of the sign in tiny letters that your arrival time must be between 06.30am and 09.00am. There is no way you could read this when driving up the road the writing is way too small and you would crash your car if you tried to read it driving along. It also states on the pay machine the times which is a bit late!
This is obviously a con for people to read the bold letters
to think that is the cost for them to park for the day.
How can a company as big as NCP need to stoop so low ?
