They give you the runaround to avoid warranty claims at all costs.
Very rude and incompetent customer folks, terrible phone connections, people with very strong accents will talk to you.
I bought 2 MotoG6. One got bricked by one of their 'security updates', which resulted in a resetting of the IMEI to the value zero.I have yet to apply this update to the 2nd phone. I registered the phones with Motorola online, providing the serial number of the bad phone, the IMEI of the other. I provided the order confirmation email of the vendor as proof of purchase. The service failed to accept the serial number, and I had to go through several chats and a lengthy phone call with a highly incompetent and impatient Philipina with heavy accent. She finally accepted a 'screen shot' of my order confirmation when logging into the vendors homepage and looking up my order number. The phone still shows as out of warranty, and the replacement phone was actually shipped 5 days after Motorola emailed me a date of shipment (with FedEx over night priority). When contacting customer service that only a shipping label was printed, they lied to me that the shipped 'just has shipped, please check FedEx later'.
For the 2nd phone, the email was accepted as proof of purchase, but the warranty date entered was wrong. I resubmitted the info and requested a correction. Now, my purchase confirmation email was NOT accepted anymore? I then send the screenshot, and it was ALSO not accepted.

I purchased a Motorola X4 in the US. It worked fine there. But now I've moved back to the UK, and my data doesn't work here. I called motorola customer care and was told that "this model was designed for the US and data won't work in Europe." How can they not advertise that their product won't work in other countries? That's a shocking design flaw to not mention. Customer care also said that there was nothing they could do to help me.

Bought a Motorola G7 power. Within a month it had stopped working. sent it to thier repair center and they said it was liquid damaged and therforfe the warranty was not valid. I certainly did not expose it to any liquids!
The cost to repair that they wanted to charge me was more than the phone cost! Complete con artists. I certainly wont be getting another phone from them!

I have had the same issues as other people have posted about the warranty with Motorola. They have two options, 1. standard which means you mail your phone to them and they try to a. fix it b. send a replacement. This means that for over a week you don't have a phone, which in the world today is not possible.
2. premium: you pay $25 and they'll send you the replacement (basically stating their product is defunct) and they put a $400 "hold" on your credit card for the replacement.
Just so everybody knows, this is going to be my second replacement of this Motorola Z2 Force. The first time I exchanged the phone, I did it through At&T. They handle their replacement policies much better. They sent me a replacement (no time waiting for sending in old one) free of charge. When I received the replacement, I sent back defuncted one.
So before you buy a Motorola, consider that their warranty is a joke.

bought a new Motorola E4 plus and it has a plethora of issues.
GPS works poorly. its not sharp and accurate at all.
my phone has never been able to tether for once in its 2 yr of existence. data cannot be shared with other devices
battery capacity is supposed to be 5000mAh but hardly lasts a day for the past 8 months.
the bundled charger that came with phone in box cannot charge the phone any longer. this has been the case for over a year. it is able to charge other phones and devices spectacularly. it only chokes on the device it was manufactured to serve.
the headset that came with device is a terrible shambles. it has cuts all over as though i intentionally cut it with blade or knife. its the poorest quality headset i have ever used after 6 months.
Motorola or Lenovo you did poorly with the Moto E4 series.

I wish I could give it 1 star but wasn't that bad from the description of 1 star. I feel that the motog6 at least is not a sturdy phone at all. My husband had a case on the phone and dropped it within 2 ft high and it shattered on the back. I called Motorola and they said the only thing they can do is sell us another one for 25 percent off. No I want a replacement not spend more money they couldn't help.

Long time ago I have owned some phone from them I already forgot what it was, it was so so long time ago I do not even remember anyway. Why people leave so negative feedback I am not sure, phone was totally fine anyway and cheap at all for all that matters.

Never buy Motorola phone. My 4 month old G6 developed a fault which appears to be a well documented issue with these phones - the microphone stopped working meaning it was impossible to make calls. Phone was sent to repair center at cost of £3.25 by myhermes.
Few weeks later an email from service center say they would not look at the fault until I paid for an unrelated repair to the camera at nearly £60 or they would return it unrepaired for £19.40.. 4 months old - in warranty- known issue - warranty useless.
Please please please think again before buying Motorola or lenovo

Can't be trusted.Customer service representative flat out lied about the time my refund would be issued. Was told 7-10 days after they received the phone,I ordered another phone believing I would receive my refund in that time. They have the first phone, they have full payment on both phones.I am now being told that they can't issue refunds because their "tool"is broken. They can take payments but not issue refunds?Yeah, that's really what a company that makes electronic devices want's to tell their customers-We cant issue a refund because our" tool" is broken but our IT dept.has been working on it,who knows when it will be fixed,we will let you know.

Although my g5 is still in warranty, car phone warehouse said that Motorola is the only phone company that you have deal with directly, any other make could be returned by them. The speakers stopped working on the phone so couldn't make or receive calls. After taking advice over the phone (try this try that, try factory reset) it was agreed it needed to be sent for repair. That was 10 weeks ago. First time I emailed 6 weeks ago I was told it had just been sent back to me. Never got it. 2nd time they asked for the address where they need to send it (so it obviously had not already been returned). Sent address from my work email, so they said they couldn't deal with the request. Contacted again with addresses, asked for compensation if they have lost the phone, or immediate return. Another fobbing email, looking into my case the customer service is appalling, and I seem to have lost 139pounds worth of phone so far.

I have Motorola G4 since it was released few years back only use it as second phone now and also got G5, both dual SIM but not configured very well as keep saying no SIM at times, not the fastest phone in terms of multi tasking and worse thing is the camera quality and only does reasonable job in broad daylight rest of the time pure sub standard pictures. In the same price range you can get much better performing Chinese brands with not big name but they do much better job be it the multi tasking, operating multi windows or taking pictures with least bug reports and always detects the SIM no signal problem. Will never invest in Motorola mobiles again at least for next few years. While I was writing this review another bug report notification has popped up on the screen, will not recommend to anyone at all

Customer care could not be less useful. No one you are able to speak to in any department has any authority to help customers with faulty devices. Buyer beware: if something goes wrong with your phone customer care will not help you, but will be more likely to take more money from you and not resolve the issue than to fix the problem for the customer.

Have a Motorola Z2 Play. After ENDLESS PROBLEMS with Samsung Galaxy S3 (EIGHT trips back to the store with it) had to PAY to get out of the contract for THEIR DEFECTIVE PHONE. THEN, was recommended an LG G5, by the staff at Virgin Mobile. Had to return it THREE times for defects. And LG's policy states that their phones need to be sent for "repair"😉 THREE TIMES before they will even consider giving you a replacement phone. Quite frankly, I suspect refurbished. Had to call "customer service" about 25 times. One time after 15 min of trying to understand what the person was saying (because of their accent), finally I said "Excuse me. I'm not trying to be rude. But I'm having trouble understanding you. Is there someone that might speak a little better English that I could speak to? And the person hung the phone up in my ear. Finally after 3X's returning their phone, they agreed to send a 'replacement phone'.Gave my a number to use at a Courier of their choice, to save on shipping costs. Went to the Courier and as I was still walking through the door I was yelled at by a voice that said in a loud voice "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" As I walked across the rm & up to the counter it was bellowed AGAIN. I said I have to get it out of my bag to show you. Showed her the phone & asked to buy a box. Was told "We don't sell boxes!" Then she barked "WHAT KIND OF BATTERY IS IN IT!?" Said I don't know. Then she barked that I would have to go online and find out. AND I would also have to go online to download special stickers to put on the box (once I got one somewhere). I told her I don't have a computer and she told me that's not her problem. LG had asked for copies of ALL the paperwork from my repair request. They gave me a fax number since I was unable to send it by internet through their crappy defective phone. Every time I tried to fax it, it was NOT a working number. Called them several times and was LIED to numerous times. Was told "Oh, the fax machine must be temporarily down". "Oh, I don't understand what the problem could be." "Oh, it's Friday. It must have just broken down. Try back next week." I went to the post office on a couple occasions trying to have the documents faxed. The postal employee told me it was NOT a working fax number. She told me that possibly the papers (from Virgin) were "to thin". So maybe that was the problem. That I should go over to their copy machine and pay to make copies for better quality paper. So not feeling happy I went & did all that. She then tried again, TO NO AVAIL! And repeated that it's NOT a working fax number! I call LG from the post office and just got their same old story as I had been getting in all of my previous calls. Them basically reading off of cards. Some of the calls was talking with representatives in the Philippines. LG had told me that they were going to give me a different number to call (not for the fax), and they gave me the SAME number that I already had! On a THIRD trip back to the post office (2 wks later because I had to take a break from the STRESS). Was FINALLY able to fax the documents that they asked for. Had to finally mail their phone back to them. They sent me a "replacement phone". Which turned out to be ANOTHER piece of their garbage! It kept DISCONNECTING while I was on it!! Including the cost of my regular mtly bill, it cost over FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to get out of that contract with them. Which brings me to this Motorola Z2. Had it only EIGHT months. Was working "ok". Then while I was away with it, all of a sudden while holding it in my hand. It went into an "ENDLESS BOOTING LOOP (as witnessed & described by the Virgin store employee). The phone became hot to touch. And made ENDLESS ANNOYING booting noises, wording & sounds! I was actually asked by ppl if I'd like to" put it under a pillow!" Couldn't even turn it off! Couldn't get the battery out! Needless to say, by not being able to get into the phone, wasn't able to save the pics. So it lost seven months of my photos. Because when it's sent in for "repair" 😉, they wipe everything 'clean'. Seems that's the only thing that they CAN do, is lose all ur stuff! 😤So. That "endless booting/NOISE/COMPLETELY UNABLE TO USE THE PHONE, while I happened TO BE AWAY/Brought it in for "repair"😉 onAug 2/18. Received a call to come pick up my phone. Apparently it was supposed to be a NEW phone that was issued because the endlessly rebooting phone was "UNREPAIRABLE" 😐Picked it up Sunday Aug 12/18. Got it home made 3 calls & ppl COULDN'T HEAR ME!!! 😤😤😤!! Returned it AGAIN the very next day on the Monday Aug 13/18! 😤 They tried the phone with me in their Virgin Store & THEY couldn't hear me either! 😤 So that was the SECOND time back with this new phone that I only had for eight months. 😤THEN on Aug 29/18 had to return it yet AGAIN, for the exact SAME problem of ppl not being able to hear me 😤. 😡😠 They sent me a tx saying my phone is back from repair on Fri Sept 7/18. U have "10 days to pick up your "repaired phone" 😉. So I wrote on the calendar "phone supposedly ready". So that I could avoid going to the store YET AGAIN, (HAVE LOST HOURS OFMY TIME & HAVE BEEN STRESSED, OVER ALL THESE TRIPS & phone calls to "customer haha service, as well as a few calls to Bell & the Virgin Store!!! 😤. But because of my schedule, unfortunately I had to go back down to Virgin AGAIN,directly after leaving the hospital this morning AND being in the E.R. all the night before! Needless to say, I am sick AND VERY ANGRY! 😤 SO, pick up the phone after the hospital today Sept 12/18. Go to Tims for a little wifi. Eventually get home. Make three calls, AND PEOPLE CAN'T HEAR ME!! INCLUDING A LITTLE FOUR YEAR OLD!!NOW WHILE STILL SICK, I HAVE TO GET OUT OF MY BED TO AGAIN FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME TO GO BACK TO DEAL WITH THESE IDENICAL MOTOROLA Z2 issues! THEY SHOULD BE STEPPING UP AND TAKING THE RESPONSIBILITY THAT IS THEIRS. THAT DOES BELONG TO THEM. AND DO WHAT IS RESPECTABLE AND CORRECT! There is no more such thing as pride in your work. Everything is about SELF and GREED! D I S C R A C E F U L!! A MASSIVE GROUP OF GREEDY, ISSUE DODGING (outsourcing), LACK OF CONSCIOUS, STRESS CAUSING, UNREMORSEFUL GROUPS OF INDIVIDUALS. OBVIOUSLY DO NOT!! I REPEAT, DO NOT! HAVE AN OUNCE OF SHAME!!! Discraceful! Oh! exhausted! Better pass out. Have to get up first thing to go to Virgin to see a man about a horse! Yes,.. yet ANOTHER TIME AGAIN with this time around being Motorola. But of course there are other people that are getting up to go deal with many other defective cell phone companys as I speak. But in my case.. misery DOES NOT! love company! This is pure insanity! Go figure! Highly disappointing!!! 😢😢😢

I've tried 3 times to contact Motorola
I've tried to contact their support 3 times via Facebook Messenger, and each time I'm either disconnected from their live agent for not answering within a minute or so, or I'm sent back to their Help Bot, which isn't very helpful. I'm not rude or anything to them, and I just explain my problem and get absolutely no help at all. The first guy just asked very basic questions about my phone, nothing related to the actual issue of my microphone that I was trying to get help for, and then repeatedly said thanks instead of giving me troubleshooting options or anything that would be actually helpful. The second person immediately sent me back to the Help Bot, and the third time I tried I didn't even get sent to an live agent.
I literally just want help with my microphone, I'm not asking much.

My first experience calling Motorola was terrible. I called because I bought a Moto E4 for my mom last year on Amazon and it stopped working after being accidentally dropped from a bedside table. My mom lives abroad, so when I got it back to replace it, it was no longer associated with any carrier. The first representative I spoke to had very little knowledge of the products, he could not guide me on how to open the phone to get the imei number, which according to him it was absolutely necessary to help me... so he gave me the case number and asked me to call again once I had that info. I was able to easily open the phone thanks to youtube, and called again. I didn’t mention I had a case number because I thought the first representative was not very good.... well, the representative who took my second call was ten times worse! After finding out they couldn’t really help me much, she said they will send me an email with details on how to send the phone to be repaired, and said goodbye. I stopped her telling her that she never asked for my email, and she said in a “not nice” tone that she had my email because I had called before, as if I was trying to cheat them. Then I told her that I had the imei number and that she didn’t even ask for it, as she kept interrumpting me and trying to hang up. Finally, she said that they don’t need the imei and that I just check the email. She was extremely rude! After checking the email, I found out that I have to pay $83 to send them the phone that costed $99.99 and get a replacement IF they confirm the phone has no damage, in which case I will be charged additionally for the repair.... WHAT A SCAM!!!! Never again buying any Motorola products

I won't even give it 1 star.
Don't buy Motorola HP ever ever again. Period.
They failed miserably in their HP technology.
I have one brand new MotoZ2 Force bought 16th March 2018. The connections of wifi & internet do not connect well at all. Went to their unfriendly repair shop 3 times & uncounted visit. Still the same problem. Had a new HP changed, same issues. I told them even they changed a new HP, it won't work because it's their Antenna issue but they refused to acknowledge. Paid SGD699 & it's a white Elephant now.
1)HP auto reboot intermittent
2)unable to connect to wifi intermittent
3) unable to connect to moblie data intermittent
4) HP hang intermittent
5) Cannot received Incoming call intermittent, sometimes don't even ring.
Actually it was a failed set in the beginning, we didn't recognize the above issues till 2 months later. Wrote to regional Motorola customer service.. They robotly responded and stop after a couple of replies, they went dead too like their HP.. Very sad for Motorola. Please don't own one. I went to HP recon shop, they said nobody wants this brand even my set is very new & still under warranty.

I updated my phone and the screen stop working (basically the screen was turning on but then when I touch it, it was not responsive). I ask Motorola helpline why this happen and they said that I should reformat my phone' I tried 3 times and noting work. tried everything like going on youtube to see what I could do but nothing. now I send it to them to fix it and they said that they will have to take the phone apart to see if any physical damage has been made. well, they took the screen apart and broke the LCD screen and then said that I did it and I will have to pay 75 pounds for it to be fixed. THE WAS ONLY A UPDATE ERROR ON THE PHONE THAT THEY HAD TO FIX. THIS IS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST SCAM I HAVE EVER HAD OMG. I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT WHAT IF IT WAS APPLE PRODUCT

Worst of all I bought it from Argos who don't even allow you to freely give product reviews for the benefit of others.
