I booked a two hour cleaning session through groupon and had nothing but problems. As soon as my money left my account they didn't want to know! I was told I had to book online but couldn't as they kept saying my email address was wrong. There was no contact number and when I emailed them I was told they didn't clean in my area and there wasn't anything they could do. I pointed out their website said it covered my area and they said it didn't and were very rude!

I booked a cleaner for 2 hours to do general housework. A woman came half hour late who could hardly speak English. Had no idea of cleaning and not speaking or understanding English didn't help. She chewed my lovely rug up with the Hoover when I to,d her to brush it not Hoover, she used a Brillo,pad on my white draining board and it's now gone black and patchy and she chewed the wire up on Hoover as the more I said hold the wire when you Hoover, she didn't understand.
Handy offer money back guarantee if not satisfied but they give a false phone number and ignore emails. I cancelled future bookings and advise not to use them. I would of expected someone to come back to me.

I tried Handy 4 times, and each time was bad for various reasons so just won't ever use again
Booking: the app is easy to book with, but it is nearly impossible to cancel a booking without ringing them up - I waited on hold for 45mins and still no response. Customer service is exceptionally poor
Arrival: Of the 4bookings, two were over 45mins late, and another one I had to go and find her as she was lost a 10min walk down the road
Quality of cleaning: between average and poor. Floors were hoovered fine, but anything vaguely challenging (such as shelves/shower etc) they just run a damp sponge over. Just can't be bothered
Damage: On two occasions (50%) we've had stuff damaged. One chipped sink and one bathroom mat that they spilt cleaner all over bleaching it (and turned the mat over to hope we wouldn't notice). Tried calling the head office....nothing!
Generally not worth the aggro of dealing with these guys. Cleaners from other firms (where they are properly affiliated) tend to be a lot better and cost no more

This is by far the worst cleaning service on planet earth. No details needed, everything is bad. Service, cleaning, lady attitude was crap, company never response never refund you. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Please DO NOT use Mopp/Handy. No support, rip off, problems with the app going unresolved, but money deducted from your account for no good reason! You have no chance to contact Handy if something goes wrong! Clients can have mansions and you are expected to do the full cleaning in 2hrs! Literally working like a slave in some cases! Also most cleaners have no idea how to clean and what to use! No one checks references and only few are truly professionals!

NEVER BOOK WITH MOPP!!! I booked a cleaner through mopp for my 87 year old father. The cleaner arrived late then left within 5 minutes saying she will come back later. An hour later I called to find out when she would be coming back only to be told that she 'didn't feel comfortable' and wouldn't be coming back at all. The cleaners english was very poor and her attitude was disgusting. Mopp do not have a customer service number which you can call. Clearly this is a well funded company who invests more in marketing that actually finding and vetting professional cleaners. Disappointed is an understatement.

This company has sent me a mixed bag of cleaners, I no longer use them as I had so many problems. Several of the cleaners they sent, spoke such poor English that it was impossible to communicate and I had to repeat several times basic instructions with them.
The final straw was a cleaner they sent who just either didn't listen, or just couldn't understand what I needed her to do.
I had to ask her to leave after 20 minutes as it was pointless and actually quite upsetting to have someone in who just was not doing what i asked.
I rang Mopp and explained I did not want her back I was told they were very sorry and the cleaning manager would follow it up. The next week, they actually sent the same girl back, i couldn't beleive it when i opened they door. it was incredibly awkward and i told her there had been a mistake. She then insisted that she should come in and call Mopp and she had to do the job. I had to slam the door on her to stop her coming in.
No apology from Mopp! And be very careful. They charge you BEFORE they send the cleaner and RATHER THAN REFUND, THEY CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT, AND ARE NOT TRANSPARENT ABOUT IT. I am sure it is not legal for them to behave like this.
My experience is they will send anyone, they do not vet the cleaners properly and they do not care if you have a problem. BEWARE!!

Another cleaner 40 minutes late. Another refund I will have to chase up. They have removed any easy to find telephone number from the internet so all frustration has to be shared slowly by email back and forth. You're bosses should be ashamed they run a company as thieving and primitive as yours.

NEVER use this company. We had a problem with a cleaner so I got in touch for this 'compensation/money-back guarantee' if you're not happy. Five emails later - still no reply, and their phone line is out of service. Once they've got your money they're gone

Was looking forward to using Moop as I had heard a lot about them. Booked a house clean for Sunday via the website and even got a discount.
Sunday comes around and no one shows up! Call Mopp and was put on hold for 20 minutes before being put through to someone. She then said that she hadn't checked her email which confirmed the cleaner had cancelled last minute and she forgot to let inform us. Absolutely terrible service. Wasn't even particularly apologetic.
Will not be using again. Judging by other reviews I've just read I shouldn't be surprised.

We have had nothing but trouble with this company lately.
The cleaners themselves are brilliant and very friendly, and we usually have the same girl who comes to us. It is the company we have a problem with.
The online customer platform and interface is totally rubbish, there are no phone numbers to ring for help, I had to go through TWITTER to even coax an email address from them!
And it is not just the customers who have problems: three of Mopp's cleaners I've spoken to (including our regular girl), have said they also have major problems with communication, double bookings and zero help from the company. Mopp/Handy get their bookings wrong, and then charge the cleaners a fee claiming it is their fault! Absolutely disgraceful. I've had enough.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! You do NOT need this level of hassle in your life.

They reschedule the cleanings quite often, and hardly ever they do a good job. You cannot manage anything from their website, not even cancel your account or change the cleaning frequency!!

We were assigned a different cleaner every time, some were good others were just terrible, its impossible to contact the company, I used their online messaging system to complain on several occasions and was ignored everytime.

I booked a cleaner to clean bathroom in new house following move in. She flooded the bathroom causing a leak to kitchen below. I asked cleaner to leave and immediately contacted Handy/Mopp with details and photos of damage. Two months and several emails later they say they have not resolved my claim and cannot give a timescale of when it will be resolved. Don't know what is more annoying; their refusal to deal with matter or their stock email response 'thank you for reaching out to us'. Would not use this company and following a bit of research I now see they are being sued for breaking employment laws. In all, you would probably be as safe and more ethical by just offering your cleaning jobs to a random person you meet on the street!

Cancelled with 30 minutes notice and could not get me a replacement cleaner in the next few days! I had to clean myself as it was for an Airbnb booking and had to fight for a refund as well as they just wanted to give me account credit!

I used them for a few months and they never sent the same cleaner. On all the cleaners who came only one of them was actually good at it. For the others, you still have to do some bits after they left.And once the cleaner didn't even show up and didn't bother to give a call.
Also, the company often cancel on you. I usually booked for Sunday morning and 5 times they did the same: They send you an email on Saturday night at 9pm to cancel so you don't really have time to arrange something else. And twice they even tried to charge £20 extra because they didn't have enough cleaner which would make £40 for 2 hours cleaning!!! What a joke!!!
Then when you call them at the office they are useless. The only thing they say is that they can reschedule. (but what's funny is that they cancell on their reschedulling a few days after). And when you want a refund it's a fight. They say that they've done it but when you check it's just on credit on your account with them. It took me over a week to get my money back and calling them every day.
They are the worst company I never had to deal with. It's ten times better to get a local cleaner, and a better job done!!!!

Service was okay, although always needed to finish off cleaning, tidy up etc. After several cleaners, there was finally one who was very keen to be regular. We had her for nearly an year, during which period she blew off one vaccum cleaner (but we didn't report it as it was not very expensive, and we had another one anyway), and then vacuumed over tissues and socks with a new vaccum and said "it doesn't work". However, once addressed, she never repeated that again, bless her. One fine day, inevitably, we needed to cancel prior to 24 hour notice (work emergency). There was a prompt emal for £30 refund (for 3 hours) but NO EMAIL or notification for a full £20 cancellation FEE!!! The POOR CLEANER SAW NONE OF IT! and was keen to have an out-of-turn cleaning appointment to make up for the loss earnings... of course, their website doesn't cope with these things...and then that was another story! Long story short, have moved to another company. Very unsupportive "computer says no" kind of staff. Ethics of company questionable - surely, need to pay the cleaner if charging us £20 for one cancellation.??

Initially, I had a very reliable, hard-working cleaner from Mopp, but she left because I believe she had some issues with the company's policies with regard to client's who repeatedly don't provide access to the property to be cleaned.
Without even a call, they sent a new lady, and then for the next booking a different one and for the third booking wanted to send another new cleaner. I then called them up to say I did not want different cleaners for cleaning the same house week after week, so they said they will confirm if they can send a permanent replacement - but they will let me know before sending somebody - only to let somebody arrive at my home without me being present.
On the next occasion another new lady, which was hard-working, but still she was not to be the regular cleaner. And then they let her go because of what to me sounds like an administrative/booking error issue.
They really cannot keep hard-working people for long, but some of the ladies I've had is clearly not trained so left half the work for me to do. And if you have an issue that customer service have to resolve, it's a nightmare. It's difficult to speak to somebody, it's difficult to get a call back from them if you have an issue that needs to be resolved before they send somebody out to your house and they thought it would be OK to tell a perfect stranger where I leave a key for my regular cleaner, so a she could enter my house. All in all a shame, because I think they are paying a fair share of the fees over to the cleaners actually doing the work.

Don't know where to start... the cleaner left smudge marks on every surface they touched! i found out later, that they were cleaning all the surfaces with floor cleaner! their shoes got wet, not sure from what as they didn't do any of the mopping I asked for, and left foot prints on the bathroom floor.
The cleaner left my place in a worse condition then the way they found it.
Lodged a complaint and the company responded by saying that they will pass the feedback onto the cleaners manager and the cleaner won't be assigned to my flat in the future. They expect me to schedule a new cleaner, so they can come and fix what the other cleaner didn't do properly. Seriously?!?! I have to pay again for a service that wasn't done right the first time round? What a joke!
Will never use again, not just because of the cleaners work but also due to their lack of customer service.

4 no shows in a row. As in we booked a cleaner, they did not show up. We re booked, they did no show up again. We rebooked, no show again. I waited many months and then gave them another shot after they were bought out. They did not show up again.

I booked a cleaner for 7:30am and she never showed up. When I called to tell Mopp they didn't sound surprised in the least and offered no compensation what so ever. What is the point of this company?
