I have been buying long-sleeved mens casual shirts from M&S for many years. Recently they have been badged "NEW & IMPROVED FIT" which, in plain English means "SLIMMER FIT". I bought a new line yesterday (£29.50) and, despite having lost a few pounds in weight over recent months, my usual Large size has now become slightly too snug. So the shirt is going back, and I shall look elsewhere for my shirts in future until I see M&S has reverted to its' original styles. Whilst looking around the store, I noted that a significant proportion of the shelf space devoted to men's denim jeans is now devoted to "Slim Fit" or "Skinny" styles. Seriously M&S, do you ever stand in your stores and observe your customers? Your target market surely is not the younger, slimmer male - in fact, would those younger customers really been seen dead in M&S? I know this has been said many times before over recent years (both for men's and women's clothes) but you really do need to consider who your core customers are.

I would like to write a positive review about the recent customer service i received from Janet in the Milton Keynes branch. I had recently purchased a hot water bottle for my parter and upon its first use it split (thankfully whilst filling it). I returned the product and Janet was just absolutely wonderful in her apologise and in rectifying the situation. She gave me a refund, replaced the item with a better quality item and within a week we received vouchers and a letter from the store. The ways he handled the situation made me feel valued, listened to, and respected. She was kind, considerate, and very apologetic despite the fact it wasnt actually her fault. So thank you and great job Janet, we’ll be back again.

That's it, no more trying to shop online with M&S! For the 2nd time in recent weeks have wanted to shop online but I cant log on with any sort of password whatever I try it will not work. Unbelievable!I have had a M&S store card like forever and am logged on with that but will they let me shop with them from home?? I now have mobility problems and need online shopping occasionally but obviously not with M&S. You shouldn't need to speak to a helpline - they know who I am!! Sad.

I bought a bra from an M&S store... I liked it, but they didn't have another one, so I decided to order online. I purchased 3. When the parcel was finally delivered (took quite a bit of time), there was the one I ordered, and two more bras, which were the wrong colour, wrong size, and completely different style/material... different from what I ordered in every possible way. Instead of refunding me, and sending only one item, which matched my order, they decided that they would take my money, and send me whatever they liked. Didn't matter it was the wrong size, colour, style... Now I have to deal with returning and getting my refund... Complete waste of time... I will not be using their online store ever again...

Treat their staff shabbily and don't allow unions. Stuck in the Victorian era. Avoid.

Fosse Park Leicester has to be one of the largest M&S stores in the Midlands and looking for new shirts & trousers should be easy, especially as I have many, many pairs of trousers jeans & shorts from there all in the same waist size. Looking along the many racks on display every rack had Slim Fit on the top and my normal size was nowhere near fitting. Inches different.
The recent sale was full of Small and Slim/Skinny fit clothes, they just don’t fit the majority of M&S clients how long will it take the buyers at M&S to wake up to the fact that the vast majority of their loyal men customers are regular fit? You only have to stand near the racks to hear the comments from customers.

Excellent underwear and food court, everything else a bit average. Come on you guys, spark up, you are suppose to be the fabric of British society and culture.

Very rude staff,in the m and s cafe at Canterbury,we sat our autistic grandson,in the outside empty seating area,he was sitting with his kfc meal, while we went in and brought our drinks and food, while we were getting served.
One of the staff had a go at him, telling him YOU can't eat that here, the grandson got so upset,he could not eat, there is a special way to talk to people ,with dissabilities, as you could see he had a health problem, improve your staff's manners

Am I just unfortunate when using M&S mail order online? My last online order was an absolute farce, but as I live 90 miles from my nearest store, in a remote location, and my husband really likes M&S trousers, I thought I would try again.
Order placed on 24th September, delivery date given for 30th. Well, ok, I thought.
However, today, 27th, it’s still awaiting dispatch, that means it’s very unlikely to be here for Monday, and if they use Yodel again, it may never arrive.
Lesson learned at last.

I like looking around marks and Spencers store in Llandudno. It is a nice shop.I like going to the cafe for coffee and cake. I noticed that the staff were run off their feet, not enough staff. Another down side that the cafe staff have to clear the tables, I observed that lots of the things they cleared were heavy, this is not good at all, and is a health and safety issue. The ideal scenario would be a unit /units for trays to be placed upon. Signage should be put up also for customer to clear their own tables. This would make their jobs easier. Please can this be passed on to marks and Spencers people in charge, thank you.

Today I went to m&s at Cribbs Causeway Bridtol, it takes me 30 mimutes to drive there but its clothes I want. I found what i wanted and went to pay, a very long queue and as I waited I realised why it was taking so long because 4 out if every 5 people were returning goods they didn't want there always use to be a separate counter to do this and the sooner it returns the better. It took me 30 minutes to pay if I only had an hour meal break No Sale £100 gone

So where do I start with the so called gourmet m and s food hall on queens drive liverpool? Why oh why do they bother offering dine in offers when the staff constantly say deliveries have not arrived. This has happened on numerous occasions so not going to bother wasting my time, energy and petrol money shopping here anymore and if you have any sense dont either. Even the staff are embarrassed about the whole no stock fiasco. Go elsewhere as m and s have gone right down the pan!

I have brought my last ‘home’ item from M&S. Had one of their Ortho Support 1250 Mattress delivered in December, having purchased it at one of these price reduction events. Followed the regime for turning and despite this, 8 months down the line it has uneven wear and has lost some of its support. I raised the issue with M&S who sent an inspector around for what in my opinion was a very subjective inspection, which included 30 seconds lying on it to deem it supportive, how that is supposed to be the same as 8+ hours per night on it is beyond me! It concluded that it has no manufacturing fault. I had not complained of a manufacturing fault but a decline in the support in a very short span of time. M&S conclude that nothing can be done and to go to the Ombudsmen. So, £560 (at the reduced price) and 8 months later they are offering no meaningful help at all. So, if you want the customer support please don’t make the mistake I did, go elsewhere, where product quality and customer retention is key. The review above was posted for the item on their website and I was basically censored as they rejected it stating it does not met their guidelines! This now makes me very wary of the objectivity of their online product reviews as they are obviously not publishing certain negative reviews.

Ordered a lingerie item online and collected it in Cork city store. Tried it on but unfortunately it was unsuitable. The five star rating is for the attention I received in the fitting room from a wonderful, helpful lady. She always goes the extra mile to help even though it was extremely busy. Think her name is Lisa.

Absolutely appalling customer services.
I went into a live chat with Elzena to raise a concern about the sale which started today and how all the items listed for sale are out of stock and I was told to email a complaint and I said I'd already complained and nobody acknowledged me. She them told me management would contact me but took no details so how this can happen I do not know.
Then before I was finished she ended the chat.
Absolutely disgraceful way to treat a loyal customer who spends a significant amount each year.

Ordered trousers less than a month ago. Worn for a week and already thread is coming out from the thigh area. I have messaged their customer services in good faith but have received a poor response. I am expected to PAY for postage to send it to them for the item to be 'quality checked' even though I have sent pictures. And I have had the item for less than a month. M&S trousers should remain intact for at least a month - so this is dreadful service. I should have shopped at another company which has better customer service and better quality products!!!!

The service at Marks and Spencer’s is very poor and the customer service is none existed, still yet to receive my product that was to be received 3 days ago. Whenever it arrives will be returning on the spot!! Why offer next day availability if you do not adhere to it? This is my time and money being wasted where I could have spent it elsewhere. You would be darn lucky and I would be really stupid if I ever give my money to you again, it’s the principle that counts!

Ordered an armchair and footstool online in April 2019. Delivery arranged for end of June. A few days before the delivery date I received a call from M&S to say my furniture would not be delivered.
Apparently, my armchair was sold out and discontinued. Although very disappointed, I decided to order an alternative armchair and footstool and delivery was arranged for 3rd September 2019. On 30th August I received a telephone call to say my furniture would not be delivered. The courier company had contacted M&S to say that they had not received the items. M&S contacted the manufacturer who, in turn, said that they had not received the leather to make the furniture. I was asked to wait a week, when an update would be available as to the situation. I waited, and have just been informed that there is no update and no one knows when or if the leather will materialise. I asked to change to an alternative leather and was informed that, if I want to do that, then I will need to cancel the order and start again. Absolutely outrageous. Go to John Lewis.

I ordered 2 sofas 6 weeks ago (early July) from M&S. I received a confirmed delivery date on 28th August. An email 4 days before the allocated delivery date confirmed delivery. Less than 24 hours later (3 days before delivery due) I received a phonecall saying that the sofas were delayed and they couldn't tell me when they would be ready. We have just moved house and I have no sofas in that room, if I had been told 6 weeks ago they wouldn't be delivered, I could have ordered elsewhere and we would have them by now. Customer service said 'manufacturer delay' but unable to say any more than that. I can't believe that they only discovered a delay 2 days before delivery thus leaving me to have to start from scratch with a new order so I need to wait another 6 weeks for sofas. Beware if ordering furniture - absolutely shambolic service.

We changed to Marks And Spencer energy in the Spring 2019. The transition was smooth, the service top class.
We are very happy with it
Gary and Bethany have underlined that great service after our visit to Southport store today and reviewed our contact for an even better price.
Thanks again, and we will recommend M &S energy to friends and family.
The coffee shop was good today too!
