I want to return something I bought but it does not work! Triet to contact custermers service several times but it does not help. Leaving me with glasses who are substandart!

Trying to get in touch with Made In Design seems impossible. Ordered a sofa which is very nice and was delivered very quickly however was delivered without a base/legs to stand it on so it can't be used. Have tried calling numerous times but never get an answer so have emailed a few times and not heard anything back since the initial email saying the warehouse were looking in to it. I would like a solution ASAP as have half a sofa sitting in my hallway Does anyone have a different number to contact them on?

We ordered a BBQ from Made In Design on the 9th of June. Before we ordered we carefully checked delivery times. It clearly stated on their website "2-3 weeks availability". 3 weeks went by and it hadn't arrived and I hadn't received the promised email detailing delivery. Their customer service people are difficult to get hold of but they do eventually answer. I was repeatedly told that it would be delivered the following week. I was getting very frustrated as we'd planned a few BBQ's with friends. Also, with a seasonal item like this, I was worried the good weather would be gone before it arrived. I was told by their customer service manager in London that the "2-3 availability" refers to when the product might arrive in to their France-based warehouse rather than when the customer might receive it. This feels like a blatant example of misselling to me but I've not yet lodged an official complaint. The BBQ eventually turned up 9 weeks later - as suspected, after the good weather had finished and too late for a BBQ with the visiting friends. I checked Trust Pilot too late - it seems that the company is disputing several poor reviews here. I hope that doesn't mean the ratings don't count? The customer service was extremely poor with deliberate promises of imminent delivery which never materialised. Anyway,I'll definitely never use them again. In this internet age, if you treat your customers like they treated me after a significant spend (more than £1,000), you really don't deserve to be in business.

Really bad customer service. I had to chase them a couple of times about my delivery that never arrived! It's been 6 weeks that I am waiting for my product to be delivered and the only answer that they gave me is "this kind of things happened"! I do not recommend to order anything through their website. They are not reliable!

If it was possible to give zero stars instead of 1 I would. Quite frankly this is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They delivered an order incorrectly, i.e. the items are unusable. Yet they are not only not helpful and impossible to reach via the phone, they are also refusing to exchange the faulty items, which is simply in breach of the consumer protection laws. I would strongly advise to NEVER use them. The most unpleasant and stressful experience.

I have been trying to reach customer services to cancel an order that was placed on the 7th of May. As the order is still being processed and not shipped yet I requested a cancellation. I have not been able to get hold of customer services nor have I received acknowledgement of my cancellation and confirmation of a refund of £657.50. I will update my review when the refund is reflected in my account.

As many of the other UK reviewers, we had an awful experience with Made In Design. We ordered an expensive item that said on the website would take 4-5 days for delivery. We received no information about delivery so I called and spoke to a lady who was extremely unhelpful and unapologetic. She blamed the manufacturer, said they didn’t have the item in stock and couldn’t give me an expected date for delivery. A few weeks later, we gave up waiting and cancelled the order. Still no apology. It took another email and phone call to get the refund. This is the worst customer service I have received in a very long time. I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering, but I put faith in the Trust Pilot overall star rating which seems to have been distorted by positive French reviews.

I have done everything they have asked from me about a refund and still nothing.they have received my item back and waiting for a refund nearly 4 weeks ago.
I am now going to get pay pal involved as I paid through them.

I ordered a lamp on 8th December to be told it would be delivered in 7 days, in time for Christmas - the website still says available in 7days. It did not arrive until 15th February and when it did it was damaged and would not turn on.
MadeInDesign ignored several emails, calls and tweets from me, leaving me with no Christmas present for over two months. They were an absolute nightmare to try and return the product for a refund, which I have now done but I will never order from Made In Design again which is as shame as they have some great products, just awful customer service.

I placed an order a table which was eventually delivered in April. The item was damaged but we only realised once we had set it up and thrown out packaging. I emailed customer services and sent pictures of the damage. I explained we loved the table so just required a replacement. I was emailed a few days later to say that a refund would be processed once i sent the table back. I emailed again to explain i just wanted a replacement, no refund required. Heard nothing. Chased a few times and called but no response. When i finally did get through to someone and explained the situation, they said a replacement would be sent out as soon as stock arrived and my damaged table would then be collected at the same time. They agreed a straight swap as I could not be without a table, because my child would have no where to eat.
Nothing for weeks. Then another email from them saying they were waiting for me to send the table back. I emailed back to explain i was waiting to swap. Heard nothing. Called the following day, the representative said they were waiting to receive my item, had to explain YET AGAIN that i'd agreed a direct swap once stock was available. He said that's not the policy. I needed to send it back in original packaging. Explained i didn't have the packaging and i also couldn't be without a table for several weeks as i have a toddler. He put me on hold then cut me off after 10 mins. Called straight back....spent a further 15 mins trying to get through to someone. No one answered. This company is an absolute joke! I have never dealt with such unprofessional people. I will never use them again! I still have a damaged table and am still MONTHS LATER wasting serious amounts of time trying to get through to someone. Utterly shambolic, do not buy from this company!

I strongly recommend never ordering anything from Made in Design. I ordered an expensive grey floral wallpaper but when it finally arrived two months after I had ordered it, it was the wrong colour. I tried emailing / calling for a replacement for the correct colour or refund - finally I got a very short response that said they would replace it when in stock and reimburse the $150 duty tax I had already paid. After providing account details no reimbursement was made. Months later a box arrived from Made in Design but I had to pay the duty tax for it to be released. Fingers crossed, I made the payment again! Upon opening the box it was the same incorrect coloured wallpaper. Same mistake twice at great expense to me!!! I would never order anything again from Made in Design as their customer service is non- existent. They don’t answer their phone and they don’t respond to emails. It’s not hard to correct an order but they have no desire to help.

We cancelled our order after we found out that instead of 2-3 weeks delivery it was going to get delivered in 3 months. It has been 3 weeks since we cancelled our order, they said the refund was to be executed immediately and still no refund and no one replying to any of our emails. Can’t get through by phone either. This company is fraudulent.

no news whatsoever of the order i place. i tried calling several times - i am pretty sure there is an indefinite answering machine with no one on the line.
I wrote to them too and no answer. I will have to contact my bank in order to cancel the payment.
AVOID!!! YOU CAN LOOK INTO IT TO FIND IDEAS AND THEN BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE

I ordered an expensive lamp from Made in Design which was delivered by Chronopost to a delivery point 60 miles away. I was not even given the accurate location, only name of a village.
The company promised to refund the order when it was returned from this unknown location, but after 5 weeks of waiting, the lamp is missing and Made in Design will not chase it up or provide a refund. Calling them has proven impossible. Do not use them.

Maybe it’s a case of “Lost in Translation”, or a lack of European good will.....
Having returned a ceiling light on Nov 22 - the wrong colour had been sent - and using the approved return label and the approved drop off point, I am still being told today, Dec 19, that the returned item has not yet been received back into the warehouse and therefore no replacement can be sent!
I have supplied proof of receipt for the returned parcel, this has been met with a Gallic shrug and the comment that after all I might have returned something else or the fitment might have been broken. Something certainly appears to have gone wrong with the return, but the dispute is entirely between Made in Design and UPS, how about a bit of goodwill and faith in the customer. I have bought several items in the past from Made in Design with no problems, but customer service comes into its own when something goes wrong, and sadly at its first test it has failed: tedious emails with a promise of a reply within 48 hours each time, no ongoing dialogue, 2 attempts to call the helpline resulted in the message “customer service not available, ring back later”, being played after holding on for 25 mins, at my expense!
So verdict so far “at your own risk”, there appears to be no attempt to listen and to believe anything the customer says.

Ordered a lamp in January.
Website says 3/4 weeks.
Part of the lamp arrives in March. The delivery company tells me they only have one box out of 2 and I need to contact Made in design to get the second on.
I sent 12 emails - usual automatic reply that my box will arrive “next week”
end of april and nothing happened, no reply. Last week one email saying - we delivered the box.
This website is a fraud - no post service.
You are not going to save any money from ordering there

I received a shelving unit which had been dropped at some point, caving in one corner of the unit.
I took photos and emailed the company on the day the shelf arrived (having tried to phone but apparently they don't take customer calls???). I have had no response to that email or the further 2 emails I wrote. I have parted with a £261 for a broken shelf and they couldn't care less. Thanks for nothing Made in Design, I'm surprised you are still in business.
