I went to the downtown Brooklyn store to pick up my package. I presented my atty ID issued by the State of NY with my order # and they did not let me pick it up. They said I MUST should a driver license. I told her that I can verify my SSN. REMEMBER: I am only required to show a valid ID and I did. I tried calling customer service, waited 5 mins for a human and then got cut off. I finally got someone on the phone and they told me that I could do it and if there is a problem to call them back. I asked for a direct # because I waited 5 min each time when I called. They could not give me a direct number. I asked for a immediate cancellation and refund and they said they cannot do that and I need to ride out my time to pick up. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was on hold for 25 minutes before someone told me that they will give me a call back w/in 3 hours. Guaranteed that I wont get it. Why my frustration?
I am going away for a week and today is the only day I have to pick it up AND I walked there in my work clothes in 85 degree summer weather. Horrible horrible customer service. I am glad stores are closing left and right!!!

Purchased a mattress and boxspring from Macy's Northlake Mall in Charlotte. Price was good (on sale). I had a problem with something and the customer service was excellent. Delivery people were polite and helpful. No complaints.

I have been waiting for 1 month and still haven’t got my refund till now . My package was sent back and delivered to the warehouse on almost 2 months now. It is now July 6 and i still have not received an email confirmation for or a credit for my return. I have called on four different occasions and they keep telling me the same thing. "Ohhh you will get it in 3-10 business days." I'm actually on the phone with them now and have been on hold for 25 mins. I will not be ordering from Macy's ever again. To make it worst they cancel your orders and make you call to replace it after they charged your account. Worst place to make purchases

I purchased a couch from Macys last June and purchased it with 0% interest for the year. I had an emergency in the family and forgot to pay it off within the year and in turn was charged deferred interest. I called just to see if something could be done and they waived the charge. This was a HUGE help and greatly appreciated. I will remember this and plan on bringing more of my business to them!

Purchased a queen size electronic ergo bed. I
spent about one hour with mattress sales associate, Jeff.
He was professional, patient, and quite knowledge. He answered all my concerns and questions.
At the time, I was unsure whether to buy Queen or King mattress. I bought the Queen.
After careful thought and consideration, the next morning I decided that I wanted to change my order from a queen size to King. That's when my frustrations began.
For four days I was unsuccessful in getting through to any extension/associate including the Hillsdale Manager. I shared this with operator. She then switched me through Corporate in Ohio.
After sharing my frustrations with the customer service representative, I cancelled my order.
I question anyone "if you need to reach someone with an order increase and can't get through to anyone, can you imagine how you would feel if you need a problem resolved"!!
Sad thing is, Jeff the sales person did his job; Macy's not only failed their customer, but also failed him.
Am very disappointed in Macy's, and could not, in good conscience, recommend them with a major purchase.

Filing cabinet bought by an 81-year-old disabled woman, non-smoker who has COPD she can not even make her bed without taking a break, Macy's sold her ta filing cabinet missing 2 parts (the drawer bottoms). When she called and ask for the parts the first number a 24/7 number told her to call back during normal business hours. ( why have a 24/7 number if they just tell you to call back) When she did call back that person said they would just send the parts PERFECT! Then she got an email saying she would have to return the filing cabinet, to get her refund. NO FREAKING WAY CAN SHE LIFT THIS she had to have someone put it together for her. Now she was given her refund and told if she didn't return it by AUG 3 they would take the money BACK out of her account. STUPID JERKS! WHO TREATS A DISABLED 81-YEAR-OLD CUSTOMER LIKE THAT or ANY CUSTMORER for that matter! SHAME SHAME SHAME ON MACYS and anyone who continues to do business with them. We need to protect our elderly and disabled family/friends.

I've been a Macy's customer for over 13 years and also have the Macy's Amex card. For whatever reason my order was canceled. Okay never seen this before so ordered again, same thing. I called their consumer protection line and they don't see anything unusual with my account. They processed a reorder and verified ALL my information. Two days later, CANCELLED!
The only changes I've made was a new address and paid off my balances in full a month prior. I guess Macy's no longer wants my money. No one can give me a reason for the cancellations. Macy's going downhill fast.

Called customer service 3 times! Absolutely useless! They are unable to figure out why this is happening!

I ordered a sectional from Macy’s in July and still have not received my couch, nor has anyone contacted me. I contacted them and they told me certain pieces were on back order. I additionally told them PRIOR to buying the couch that I am in the military and I will be out to sea after September 15th.. they said this will not be an issue. I asked to see if I could have the pieces to the couch that they do have in stock and she said they can’t deliver to my area until the 19th, when I’m OUT TO SEA. Extremely frustrating. Will not be buying from Macy’s furniture again.

Worst customer service ever. The pickup department at Westminster Mall, CA at 12:14 PM PST just left me on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on me. During the holding time, she left me on speakers, so I heard everything she discussed with customers regarding returns and gift cards. Worst customer service and privacy protection ever.

I love the products, the sales and especially the great customer service! I am so surprised that they have such a low rating! My dealings with them have been absolutely wonderful in every way. I order a lot and send things back because we don't have a Macys I can try on at and they always are so nice about letting me know they got my return and then return my money in a timely manner. They have a great chat online service you can ask question and mine are usually answered very fast. Macy's is my favorite store!

I ordered bras online. The Macy's site says they'll arrive 08/02/19. That day came and went. Checked the tracking with USPS and it says the sender hasn't sent any info. I contact Macy's and they say:
"The package was in transit to the carrier's warehouse on 07/27/19 and there has been no update on the tracking details since then. The order might not have been successfully transitioned from our warehouse going to the carrier's facility."
Might not? So did you bother to check? No. No, they didn't. Their merchandise and my order are out there floating around and they don't even bother to see where all of this started IN THEIR process.
I'll take my money elsewhere. If you don't care about your merchandise, neither do I

It couldn't of been any worse. I ordered something online, changed my mind and they said I couldn't cancel until it was delivered to the store. Poor service but not the end of the world. so I waited until it was delivered and called to cancel. After 3 calls and over 30 minutes of holding I was able to get a guy that said would be cancelled and refunded. 3 days later i get an email saying that was a mistake and I need to pick it up before returning it. I've not spent hours, stress, and headaches on this. So now I find out it was delivered to the wring store too an hour away. So a week later I just gave up which they said eventually I would get a refund if I never pick it up.
This place is a dinosaur and they don't give a crap about customers. I won't ever be using them again.

So sad to see such a great store like Macy's fall so far down the hill this store used to be a great store but it no longer is and I'm so sad to say this I really loved Macys but it's not what it used to be and their customer service is horrible it's the worst customer service that I ever dealt with and half the time when you speak with someone on the phone they don't even speak English I can't understand a word they saying and they're saying they pretty much can't help you with anything so why are you paying them Macys you should be ashamed ashamed of what that store has become like I said so sad I am so sad.

I'm hardly one to write reviews but I think this is worth mentioning. I was having a billing issue which I could not get resolved. I took a trip to Macy's Broward Mall store 758.First spoke to Heather who tried reaching a manager. Cristina was Exceptional, helpful, courteous, professional and understanding. Cristina is such an Amazing asset to Macy's. I was planning on canceling my card if I didn't get the assistance I needed. Also Beverly in men's was very reassuring and expressed her concern with my situation. I can definitely recommend these three wonderful associates.

Awesome customer service. If you order online and need to make a return, the process is so easy and hassle-free. You don’t have to find a specific register or customer service desk. You can go to any register with the item and receipt or your confirmation email on your phone.

I purchased two women Adidas outfits online. When I received one of the orders it still had the security tag attached to the pants. I called customer service to complain about this. All I got was some person that didn't speak good english with a nasty rude attitude, and wanted to give me a 20% percent discount next time i order online. Just horrible customer service. I'm so disppointed in Macys.

There has been a couple of times where I have visited their online website to make a payment. I swear it was made only for never to apply and it was never withdrawn from my account. And of course I slap a big fat $30 late fee. But I swear that I paid a week before it was due.

I ordered 4 bras from Macy's. The two beige ones came, one with a wooden clothes pi, attached and the other with an ink tag still on it, which I returned.

I ordered flowers yesterday for a family member to receive on her
birthday. Having recently lost her young mother to a painful illness, I knew the arrival of these flowers would truly brighten her day. My order was placed at 10:50 am. At 5:50 pm, seven hours later, I receive an e-mail that the order will be delayed by one day. I request a refund from FTD and scramble to contact a local florist, but it is too late in the day at this point....

Ordered a red tie, and received an orange one. I contacted customer service, and was told a replacement order would be sent, with a return label for the wrong item. After a week and no replacement, I reached out to customer service and was told that the item was refunded and I would have to reorder. The promised replacement had not been sent, because the warehouse preferred to investigate the incident first. Of course the item was no longer on sale and the price had more than doubled. Since the tie was ordered for a specific event, I was forced to purchase from a third party. The same order also included several shirts, one of which appear to have been previously opened and returned. I don't like having my time wasted, and will not be spending any more money at this store.
