It's ok AT FIRST, if all you want is proof of insurance this is the company for you, it doesn't do anything for you,I need time you renew they raise their right so eventually you're paying just as much as you were with any other company, BUT THEY DO NOTHING FOR YOU AT ALL! They don't honor their policies, BUYER BEWARE!

Wouldn’t recommend approaching the third renewal they will say they no longer can insure you stating about a incident that been occured that they could of been reviewed before approving saying major violation within 3 years lol you mean the violation that occur before i sign up lol STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY I WOULD SUGGEST PROGRESSIVE SNAPSHOT AND WORK YOU WAY DOWN ON YOUR INSURANCE THIS CRAP HERE IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM COMPANY THAT WILL HAVE YOU INSURED THEN WHEN IT TIMES FOR RENEWAL WILL TELL YOU THEY CANNOT RENEW OR REINSTATE AND THE OTHER Mess UP PART IS ONCE THEY SEND YOU A NON RENEWAL YOU CANNOT USE THAT SERVICE EVER AGAIN LIKE EVER

I'm blown away at how terrible this experience has been. I joined Root because it appeared on the outside to be a technology-enable, customer support heavy insurance company that had some cool tech.
Very quickly after joining my policy went up. Then when my card on file expired they didn't tell me. Four months later when they tried to bill it and it didn't go through they didn't call or text or even try other than an email to let me know payment didn't work out. As if anyone reads their system/automated emails.
When I called to give them money and take care of it they let me know it will be over a year until I can reinstate any policy and when I asked if they could have at least called me to let me know there was an issue they said: "we're not an outbound call center" to which I replied even an automated robo call would have saved them from losing a $1,200 a year customer.

4 renewals, 4 straight rate increases. They explained the increase was due to bad drivers around my area, a complete contradiction of their sales pitch! Stay away! Root, your lies are smelly!
Doesn't matter how good you drive, your in line for fresh rate increases with every renewal!

After a basic claim, they drop me!!! DO NOT TRY THEM!!!!!
They'll scam you at the end of each quarter of year. Pay additional HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of $$ to keep your policy going!! DO NOT FALL FOR THEM!!! STAY AWAY!!

Never been in accident, credit score of 831, 3 cars, one of which is worth over 90k and at end of process, declined an option for coverage! What a waste of my time. They claim they want only good drivers but apparently someone with no violations ever, 3 cars and net worth over 1m , I am not worthy! Don't waste your time your with this company.

So far, so good.
I love that we can get insurance at a lower rate, the way you’re meant to. We switched from Geico, where we were paying +1200 on a 6 month policy with 2 cars full coverage. Neither of us have had tickets in the past 8 years for husband, 12 years for me. Haven’t made a claim in 14 years on any insurance and Geico kept raising our premium. When I asked them, they told me that “Ga is a dangerous state to drive in” so I was paying for other bad drivers mistakes. That’s just not right and it not right to raise someone’s premium based on a credit score. Root cut our premium in half according to our driving score.
Also, when I needed them to send paperwork to my husband’s car loan company, it wasn’t a huge ordeal and it was done promptly.

I thought it was a great way to do insurance, base it on the way you drive instead of creditworthiness and other such garbage that has noting to do with how safe you are driving a car.
I scored terrific!, according to the program, then I set the options given to match what I currently have with State Farm..they were $40ish a month higher than State Farm..hey its OK..its not for everyone and I understand that.
Its still a great way to do it.
My problem came when a few days later I started receiving advertisements for other insurance companies. I am quite certain that I wasn't looking for insurance that would have triggered companies on random websites to target me, nor did I give out any info that has my correct mailing address in it..other than them.
So, do they sell your info..dunno, but I really don't appreciate what I feel is a breach of trust.
