A sales associate at the Ocean County, NJ JC Penny’s helped me more than I could ask for . I had a very large return and exchange with men’s business attire that was made easy. My return was also a pain because it was on a new credit card line I’ve only used once before at a completely different location . Needless to say , Liz at the “dot com center “in ocean county NJ made my experience convenient and helpful .

I have been a loyal JC Penny customer for as long as I can remember. I've always bought my curtains and bed linens here as well as clothing.
I went to the store in the Rosedale Mall in MN today, where I have shopped for over 30 years.
I was shocked at the clothing styles and all the clearance items. The store was kinda messy too. I was looking for a Army green plain T shirt, which is the hot color of the fall season. I could not find one in any department! Whose the buyers for your women's wear? The clothes were so outdated and junky looking! This was not the case several years ago because I could always find something I liked, especially in the ANA department. Sorry, but I can now see why your Company is failing. And I was pulling for you too.

I was advised to add protection plan to a men necklace I bought. When it broke they told me it cannot be fixed. What then was the plan for? The sad part was they waited till almost the date I had to pick it up before calling me to say it couldn't be fixed. I am done with jc penny. Will never recommend the jewelry section to anyone.

I love jcPenneys at Greece Ridge Mall in Rochester, New York.
The woman's clothing has been a wonderful asset for me. I do not like to shop online, and sincerely appreciate the setup of the real store. The dressing rooms are clean and secure with real mirrors. Having weight issues, I have been able to find admirable clothing in junior, petite, and plus departments throughout my adulthood. The quality is excellent, and their pricing has miraculously helped me as I live on a fixed income. The household departments have a nice variety as well as the entire store. Restrooms are clean, nice employees and good security.
I truly thank God for what this store has done for me.

Be sure to read all of this to understand why!!!! First after getting 2 previous bills, paying on time, I didn't receive the 3rd bill. Upon getting the automated it said I owed 10.30 and bill was due that day. I paid it while in the automated system. It asked me if I wanted to pay the "current amount due, 10.30. I said "YES". It verified the amount and the account taken from.
DON"T use their card!! Store employees suck you into opening account with "Reward" promises that take forever to get or you don't get at all! Misinformation about rewards!!!!! They told me it would show on my Credit Card; Phillipines reps say you have to go on line, sign up, request the 10.00 off; Baloney!!!! doesn't happen!!
I called back right away to make sure the payment went through. I asked the rep (Philippines) why I never got a bill. He said it was sent back due to the address. I asked how that was since I got the first 2 bills??? No answer; on hold 20 minutes for nothing but stupid apologies!! (Don't apologize; take action!!!!!)
I asked him to confirm my payment. another 20 min and he said he saw it on there. No problem. So I called back the next day to find out why my 10.00 reward credit was not on my bill but to find out it has to be done "online" . Really??? So now you have to go to another website not affiliated with JCP to get your credit??? Store rep said I would see the rewards credit on my bill. (2nd issue and reason not to shop JCP)
Third call: Lady (Philippine's) said my bill WAS NOT paid; by then I was super FURIOUS!!!!! After arguing 30 min. she finally saw another screen that said I Paid 10.00 BULL****!! I paid the "current amount due as stated 10.30!!!" Finally I said "send me to a supervisor; after holding again I got another rep who was NOT a supervisor (Philippines) . The previous rep in Philippines (I have all their names!!!) lied and said she was sending me to a Supervisor; she did not!!! Finally I got someone who admitted that the "automated system" has huge issues and she has gotten complaints of it not taking the Payment you say "yes" to.
Let me tell you why I believe it's fraudulent! I want to hear from anyone who paid over the phone and had a different balance afterwards! It appears they are setting the automated to take a partial payment so they can hit you with a late fee and interest for the unpaid balance!!!! NOT worth the hours you have to spend on the phone with reps in the PHILLIPINES who read from scripts and can't help you except to read your one page bill. Who holds them accountable? I asked that they escalate the issue higher up but all they do is apologize! NOT Acceptable!!!!!!!! If I get the bill and it is not paid in full I will cut my card up and send them a million pieces!!! I want to hear from someone higher up who cares if they lose customers because I control not just my spending but those in my family as well so JCP , you are losing more than you think!!!!

They make online shopping difficult, as item descriptions and photos do not provide an adequate description. So, then the buyer has to pay to return merchandise that isn't appropriately described! And unless you want to sign up for an account (No thanks.), you can't post an item review in order to warn others about an incomplete description.

Worst on line expereince ever. Had to hassle with them for over 1 week.I ordered a large order of a complete bedding and curtain set for our master bedroom. The price was great, but ensuring the payment and delviery was a nightmare. I ended up cancelleing all my orders. I used paypal to pay and kept getting emails saying payment could not be made. Called paypal, that was not the problem. Bottom line, very unprofessional, no one knows what the problems were, and no one has the answers. I still dont know if it fixed or corrected. Never have I ever has a rediculous problem like this. NO wonder they are loosing money when they cant ensure their order are right. Very dissasstisfied.

terrible website to shop on, whenever you add items to the cart and continue shopping, after a while the cart empties itself. i spent 45mins looking through the website to add items only for the cart to start all over. i just gave up and closed the website. what a waste of time and effort

Had an excellent shopping trip today at the JC Penny in Altamonte Mall, FL. We visited the store to shop for clothes for my 87 yr old mother-in-law visiting from New Jersey. I want to praise two employees that assisted us during our shopping visit. Ms. LilyAnna helped us tremendously finding the exact colors, sizes and fit for my mother-in-law’s tiny frame. Additionally, the cashier, which I don’t remember her name, but I want to give her credit for her assistance. She assisted us with a credit card application and to receive all the discounts possible because we purchased so many items. The employees from store # 0321, cashier associate # 0762 and her coworker were the kindest, most helpful sales associates I have met in a long time! Their personal attention and wonderful disposition made our day!!! Please recognize them for being awesome employees!

If I could give 0 stars.. I would . I've never in my life had so much difficulty with an order that contains 2 dresses. It's been today 4 weeks since I placed my order. I've been to the store here in Rockingham NC to pick my order up numerous of times , but NOTHING.. they say that one dress is avaliable for pickup but they could not give me the one dress because the other one hasn't reached the store yet.. I will NEVER in life shop at JCPenny.com anympre.

I placed an order for blinds on September 7th, received an email confirmation including;the blinds description, the custom size, the amount as it was stated online, the cost of shipping, and tax. Also, I was given an expected arrival time for shipping between September 26-30th, 2019. My charge card was authorized for the amount on September 7th when I placed the order. I thought as anyone would there shouldn't be any issues because I received a confirmation. I received an email from JCP stating my charge card declined on the 15th. I went online with my bank right away and no it wasn't the authorization was still there. I called right away to 800-322-1189 on the 16th. The first person I spoke with was yawning while I had to give my order number twice and then was placed on hold and then transferred. I called back and this time I spoke with Sky, she was very nice and confirmed everything also stated that my order should ship on the 16th. On the 17th I called again and this time went through the automated system, it confirmed my order number as well as that my blinds shipped. I called on the 18th to get a tracking number since their automated telephone system states my order has shipped. I specifically spoke with Shantel and she said, "yes, your ordered shipped on the 16th and you should receive an email today with a tracking number". Well, I waited and SURPRISE no email so the (today)19th I called and the order was confirmed and my charge card was fine but there was yet another problem. This time I was transferred to a supervisor in Columbus, still no accurate customer service exists with JCP. I was told because there was an error online when I placed my order they will not honor the order and that all orders were cancelled. Really, for the past four days not a single customer service support person had the balls to tell me this, only confirm my order and yet again take my charge card information to not authorize it once but twice throughout the process of this order. I was told from the supervisor it's not going to ship because of the error. Oh, and the typical "corporate response", in fine print on our website...states that if there are any errors an order will not be shipped.
Now, remember this was not my error... my charge card was authorized and it was fine although it was made out to me that type of error. No, sorry JCP it was your error from the beginning and you should hold your people accountable not the customer and when your customer service support provide poor service, inaccurate information as I recieved you should be on the hook to fulfill the order. Your customer service department led me on as no one informed me of any problem accept my charge card, which was clearly NOT the case. I have many windows to fit with blinds, you will not get my business moving forward on anything I need. They are other stores out there that are more than happy to take my money and give me the customer service experience I deserve.

I came to jcpenney located at gateway mall Brooklyn and was disappointed, first there was no staff member to help me, I was looking for a dress shirt and pants. The men's clothing area was disorganized and there was no clothing size charts. I've been shopping jcpenney for over 35 years and I'm thinking of taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Very poor customer service. We spent $1500 on a mattress 2 weeks ago and still don't have it because they will not work with us on a delivery time. Isn't that what "customer service" is supposed to be? We have been lied to and given the run-around all this week. Its about time to return it. Sooooo Disappointed!!!

Nightmare Service! I placed an order for shoes. They came quick enough. However, they were defective. So, I reordered them. They came in a week later. I ordered a size 7 and got a 91/2. I ordered a third pair. Finally, they were correct. When I returned the other 2 pair, they didn't give me full credit. So now, I've been bounced from person to person trying to get credit.

JC Penney's online customer service is the absolute worse on the face of the earth. If you are considering shopping online. Do Yourself A Favor and DON'T! It will be most unprofessional website you have ever encountered. When you call their customer service. It is equally as unprofessional. What do you expect from a step above Sears. JC Penney was a decent store at one time, but now they need to join Sears and go out of business. Their prices aren't any different from Nordstrom Rack. I would rather shop there. At least at Nordstrom Rack you will receive good customer service.

I recently purchased some window coverings for the majority of the windows in the house. I feel I was sort of talked into a style I wasn't real crazy about because I was told the style I wanted would not be a good fit for the window frames that had some obstructions. Ultimately, I was the one that approved the style but the one I really wanted I realized would have worked just fine.
Then the treatments came and 2 out of 3 rooms had the wrong size coverings. When they had to be reordered, I asked if they could be expedited since it was the manufacturer's fault, I was told, "no", that I would have to get in line again.
One of the sets was wrong a 2nd time. So I played the waiting game again. Finally, almost 3 months later, things finally came together.
The installers were great and I was really surprised when no one in the window covering department or customer service called to apologize/check in/or see what they could do; especially after the 2nd gaffe.
I would expect that if I bought something for $50 and went through all that but when you are spending $1000s, it is really unsettling.
I still have 3 more rooms to do and all I can say is that it will not be through JCP.

we ordered patio furniture weeks ago, was suppose be to delivered by July 9th, everyday since we have been told it will be delivered tomorrow.
Today I wanted answers, managers never returned my phone calls, the shipping company tells us they have no record of our ordered and when I was transferred to Helen Thompson with outdoor oasis, HER WASTED DRUNK DAUGHTER AND FRIENDS ANSWERED SCREAMING ON THE PHONE ALL THESE NUMBERS TO CONTACT HER
I am livid at this point at the amount of lies and time I spent today with this disgusting company. To just get the runaround.

I’ve purchased items online from JCPenney in the past with no issues however, this order is a gift to my niece and the box is demolished! Everyone that gets brand new shoes should be able to have the box but there’s no way I can wrap these the way they were delivered! I have a picture but I don’t see a way to attach it.
