i ordered some parts for my vw on line from jbug company and when i received the parts i found some parts were damaged and a tail light lens was broken and i call the company rep.and he told me to send pictures of the damaged parts and i did and waiting two weeks no response .the shipping box was not damaged at all yet their shipping department deliberately had put those damaged parts in the box ,
since i feel being ignored by this company i take the loss and i like to warn others who deal with them .

ordered parts, oil filter screen shipped in a envelope unprotected and arrived crushed. I contacted JBugs and they requested a photo. I sent the photo and received another reply that they could ship another but more than likely it would be crushed again. If they know this then why don't they either use a better means of protection or just stop selling the part altogether?
Just purchased the bug and my first task was to change the oil. Thank goodness that I learned my lesson with JBugs support with a $5.00 part not with the engine rebuild coming up and the entire restoration. That $5 dollar part and their suck a$$ attitude just cost them several thousand in sales over the next few months but I realize that more than likely, they don't need me. I am done with JBugs - Re-ordered from Airheads and hopefully it will be a better transaction - also, on the electrical - compare JBugs pricing with Parts Geek - alternator nearly 60.00 cheaper at Parts Geek vs. JBugs.

I ordered 2 fluted headlight assemblies for my 54 VW. One was broken when it arrived. The next lens sent was not the correct lens, so after talking with Jake and Jamie the issue was resolved and I received my matching fluted headlight assembly. No need to return the damaged item so it was a no hassle situation. I had to wait for a while to get the correct one, but these guys really worked at making it right.
I will certainly be ordering from them again!

Let me start by saying, If you want rude staff with an attitude, and sub par costumer service, then you went to the right place. After talking to their supervisor J, I can understand where all of this is coming from. Back in November, I made a large purchase of $400+ included an upholstery set for my Karmann Ghia. Parts arrived fast and everything seem to be in order until I tried to install the upholstery for the back seat, it was way to narrow. The Karmann Ghia coupe back seats back and bottom board measure 42 1/2", and the set I got is 39 1/2" wide. Of course I contacted them, and this is were the problems started. After a couple of days of back and forth e-mails, and receiving help of the only rep that had no nasty attitude during the whole process, I received an e-mail stating that they have contacted the manufacturer of the product and they send me was the correct one. Also after checking on their catalog, it states that its supposed to be 40.25". I call them again, and was transferred to J. the sales supervisor, and after again some nasty attitude he told me "I will send you a return shipping label and issue a refund", and before I can finished saying thank you, he hung up the phone. Well that was 3 days ago, and still no return label. Now I'm out $229.45 on a useless set. So I will recommend you stay away from this company, as everything will be ok until an issue with your order arises. Almost $1000 in parts already purchase from them, but no more. They are not the only ones out there.

This is what folks think about this company. Spent my money and waiting on orders that haven’t even been pulled. When I spoke to someone over the phone I was told “an” item was out of stock. That item is a paper air filter I probably can pick up locally or get from day O’Reilleys or something. But, since I spent over $800 on my debit card I’m stuck waiting or contemplating cancelling but will still have to wait a stupid amount of time while my car sits. Placed another order on another site (Cip1) which were really big bulky rotors for a disc brake conversion. And, guess what? Those arrived at my door today.
Lesson learned. I don’t need to spend my money on bad communication and snotty kids who throw attitude to their customers because they haven’t even fulfilled an order nor have they emailed me with a status update. Like I said, placed an order for similar dollar amount stuff at Cip1. Got email confirmations along the way and their items arrived today. All the while, it’s me being unreasonable because these people haven’t even pulled my items off their shelves yet....

Since buying parts from jbugs, a year ago I have had nothing but issues, I’ve answered the phone to only receive some attitude from they’re customer service, on parts that were damaged or not working. From connecting rods, to broken cylinders, to my generator getting “rebuilt” only to be shipped back with frays on wires inside the generator. As well as the rare pully system that goes with it, somehow has gone missing, I’ve talked to I believed everyone in this company besides the owner. I would say my time with jbugs will be over soon as my pully is returned and compensated for having a faulty generator

I ordered a small part for my 1973 Karman Ghia. I was charged a flat rate shipping charge of $7.50. This kind of made me made - but O.K. - I needed the part. When the USPS envelope came the actual postal charge was $2.63. That leaves a lot for "handling". Never again will I order from this company. There are many other quality VW parts suppliers to pick from. Bob - Bordentown, NJ

There are many options to buy aircooled vw parts from but I have found JBugs to be the quickest, easiest, most reliable and affordable. There is a huge VW parts supplier right down the road from me but I would rather order direct from Jbugs 2400miles away. that is how happy that I am with JBugs
