I own a lot of jewelry and I’ve recently became interested in owning a chocolate diamond. I screen shot a few pictures of a Le Vian Chocolate Diamond from Jared’s website and sent to my husband. Just as I expected, he ordered one for my birthday this past week. It arrived yesterday and I’m embarrassed by the quality of the product and that Jared would send me an item made in China and then sell it at a high premium. The ring I received looked as if it came from the Wish website and Not at all reflective of what I was expecting from a brand like Jared. To further insult, the store left the Made in China label around the ring before shipping. I am truly blessed to have a great husband but the ring will be returned.

I've been a longtime (13 years) fan, customer, and evangelist of Jared Jewelers until today. Here's your consumer warning: Do not finance your Jared purchase through Comenity Bank. They will tell you it is interest free, then at the end of the term, slip you a clandestine $15 charge which you have 14 days to pay and should you miss it (thinking your auto-pay is handling it) Comenity will then apply all the interest you've been avoiding throughout the term of your loan at the end of your cycle. This is the quintessential definition of an unscrupulous, fraudulent, and deceptive business practice and now, they are unfortunately associated with a business that seemed to always put the customer first -- Jared. Too bad for Jared on this one. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I made a purchase for my wife for mother’s day. I took a risk and ordered a 16” chain. When I showed her what I bought and mentioned it was a 16” chain, she told me she preferred an 18” chain. I told her I would contact Jared and get that exchanged because after all it is just a chain.
I contacted customer service and I was told they cannot help me. I would have to cancel the order completely, re-do the order and pay again. On top of this, I asked if the “customer care” person can do this for me and she acted like I was putting her out. She told me she would just be doing what I would do online, so I should just do it. Mind you..this is just a chain, no custom work here. I complained again and I was told the “only” way was to make my wife wait longer and for me to go through the process all over again. I was even told that “I” made the mistake, not them. I would have cancelled and got a refund if my wife didn’t really like her jewelry and wasn’t so anxious to finally receive it. I will never go back to this place again and I hope you dont either. They really need to work out what customer service is and how to treat people.

We had our wedding rings resized one size up and made sure to put in huge writing with the order not to mess up the engravings on the inside of the rings.
Comes the day to pick up the ring and the engraving is completely gone, sanded down, you had to use a magnifying glass to see where it even was. The ring was actually not even evenly resized. We wait for them to fix the engraving. Comes back with a different engraving then when asked for refund the person offers a store credit. When I heard about this and call back to get the refund the store front desk person tells me to come back in person. I will never ever step my foot in this Jared. Keep the money. Whoever is your jeweler should get fired.
Completely useless store. Don't come here.

I am a certified gemologist, and usually will never step foot into Jared but needed a ring sized right away and my usual jeweler was out of town. Brought in an $11k sapphire ring double certified by GIA as all natural. They kept refusing to work on the piece claiming it was lab created. When I told them GIA certified it, they proceeded to tell me GIA doesn't certify gemstones. Seriously?? I spoke with the supervisor and finally was able to get the ring sized. Came back two hours later to have a good laugh. Handed them a one of a kind Mikimoto Emerald Ring (also certified) and they told ms it's fake, and Mikimoto is not a reputable company to produce high end rings. Smh. Got the ring back, and they damaged the shaft. Of course. Nothing less from a company that hires morons. Please, just stay away.

If you buy from Jared (and I recommend you don’t), be sure to buy the lifetime metal and gem warranties. They are two separate warranties and you’ll need them both otherwise you’ll be paying for repairs annually until you due.

My fiance and I went to a few jewelry stores to look at rings. We were immediately greeted and everyone was friendly. The woman offered us to get "pre-approved" for financing to see what we could afford. What she failed to mention, was that she OPENED AN ACCOUNT WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. So when we finally decided on our ring at another location, our financing was declined because we had opened an account without our knowledge (luckily we were still able to order our ring). Never have I ever been so mad with a company before, and yes, I do blame Jared because I'm positive that she was trained to trick people.

While the local storefront seems to be generally friendly and 'in business', there are some things that keep us away from the enterprise. For example, they sell the notion of a Ultimate Watch Warranty. This includes what was supposed to be free battery replacement for life. Interesting that a watch battery replacement costs roughly $50.00 each time. The Ultimate Watch Warranty at a cost of $70 was clearly a come-on with no benefits.

The purchase experience was Excellent and we were very pleased with their professionalism and their knowledge of the merchandise.
A Great place to shop for all our Jewelry needs.

We ordered a ring on Oct 8. On Dec 3 we went in the store to see about the status of it. The Assistant Manager Shawn informed us that there was a problem in getting it. He never reached out to us to let us know anything was going on. We had to go in the store after a long time waiting to hear that there was a problem. We cancelled our order right then. Who in their right mind would continue a sale after such lousy service? Buyers please be aware of this.

Don't fall for the ring cleaning scam at Jared!! I went to the store on Northpoint Parkway in Alpharetta, GA to buy a Pandora charm as a gift. The salesperson asked me if I want them to clean my rings while I was shopping. I said yes but they returned in about 3 minutes and told me that I had loose stones in both rings and that they could repair the prongs immediately and clean the rings for $56.00 each. I declined, but bought the Pandora charm and left. The next day I took my rings to a highly reputable jeweler, Sabri Given, to check my rings for loose stones. Two jewelers at Sabri carefully inspected my rings and found NO LOOSE STONES. Sabri cleaned my rings as a courtesy. I will NEVER go to Jared again. I returned the Pandora charm that I bought out of principle - even though it was inconvenient. I went the the Pandora store in the mall instead. Don't fall for their ring cleaning scam.

I purchased a bracelet on Jared's website for my mother for Christmas. It was a 14K gold bracelet with her children's birthstones. Less than a month later, the gold on the bracelet has started to turn. My mother took the bracelet to two jewelers who tested the gold and said it in fact sterling silver. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and the SCAM they are running and the false advertising. I've heard rumors before that Jared sold poor quality products but I really didn't think they were true until I found out the hard way. Stay away from this company as it appears fraud upon the public is their specialty.

Worst jewelry buying experience and sub-standard quality of diamonds. Diamonds lost shine and look like worth-less rocks in less than a month. Customer service sucks overall. Talked to General Manager of the store. She was the worst and was rude. If GM is like that, no wonder employee don't give f*** about customers and quality of the product. Thousands of dollars down the drain.

Very poor customer service. Got a call from sales person reminding us that we had rewards available, just to find out that they expired a week ago when we came to make a purchase. Wish we were told there was an expiration in the first place! And, to boot, offered to reinstate part of them if we upped the purchase by over 60%. Thoroughly disgusted with the experience!!

I am very upset/disappointment with Jared. My boyfriend got me a beautiful necklace for my birthday in May. Since then, I have wore it maybe 4 times. The other day I went to put my necklace on and the stone was loose. The next day I went to Jared hoping they could fix my necklace for free, and when I went there the sales associate told me since I don't have a warranty on it it will cost me $30. I only wore it a couple of times, it's basically new. I am very disappointed with my experience with jared and I don't think I will be returning.

I bought an engagement ring and wedding rings from the Jared’s on Bay Area Boulevard near the Baybrook Mall in Webser, Texas. The diamond has a flaw in it, which, I believe that the salesperson, Phil, knowingly sold to us without informing us.
The flaw is visible with the naked eye. It is not something that a jewelry professional would miss. It’s a large vertical crack on the underside of the stone. When it was mounted it was hidden with one of the studs on the diamond mount. When we viewed the stone on their digital display microscope, it was not noticeable.
Shortly before the wedding, we had the rings resized. When I picked up the ring, the clerk who checked them out started acting very nervous as he was giving it a final inspection. He said that there was something wrong with the stud and started frantically making adjustments to it. I didn’t think much of it at the time.
I’m not sure exactly when my wife noticed the crack, but, she didn’t tell me until after the wedding. At first, we thought that maybe someone had switched out the diamond. We went to the store, and showed them the diamond. We verified that it was the correct one. We looked at the stone from various angles under the microscope which made it visible. At the time, the manager, Todd, assured us that he would resolve the situation. He sent it to the head office and they wouldn’t replace it.
Long story short, the manager, Todd, did not stand by his word by replacing the stone. The salesperson, Phil, must have been aware of the flaw when he sold us the stone. This is an example of extremely sleazy sales tactics and unscrupulous business practices.

The customer service is terrible! As long as there are no issues with your account you are ok. As soon as there is a problem nobody can help you. There customer chat service is a joke. All they tell you to do is call customer service, which you will be hold on hold forever, and then they brush you off and do not resolve the issue. If there is a problem with your purchase then you are on your own! I had to get an independent jeweler to give me an appraisal because Jared does not to appraisals! Btw, they do not mention that when you are making a purchase! They give you a letter which most insurance companies will not accept! Be very carful doing business with Jared!

Why does Jared mother's day ads show married couples? This is not mothers day, this is a greety marketing campaign. All jared commercials are the same, every chance they get they manulpate the meanings of the holiday they take advantage of. Why trust theseso people? Cleary, it's anyone's wallet they are after. You know Jarid cares when their corporate website DOESN'T ACCEPT USER CRITICISMS.... these guys are phoney.

Horrible experience starting from the beginning I purchased a $850 ring. They sized it for my GF and they sized it wrong, so I had to make a trip back. I was then told to come back the next day to pick up the ring and the ring was not ready. Came back again and picked up the ring. One week later the main stone fell out, luckily we found the stone because they do not cover precious stones besides diamonds. We got that fixed and once we got the ring back I could tell exactly which prong was fixed because 3 of them were straight and one was lumpy and crooked. I brought this to the sales lady and was assured it was because they reinforced it and that is why it looked different. I left and was skeptical but what do I know. Then, the main stone fell out once again and a handfull of diamonds that were on the band. I returned it again only to be talked down to and ignored by the sales women. The same lady that rudely ignored us preceded to tell us how it is obviously our fault and had nothing to do with the craftsmanship. Even though we knew it was the same prong that broke because of their horrible repair. After notifying the manager of how we were treated they had us deal directly with them and they ordered a new ring just in case I was unhappy with the repair. I went to pick them up and although I wanted to keep the old one, you can clearly see the same flaw in the repair. Additionally, now the stone wasnt even fastened straight and was wobbly. After showing the manager I asked him if he saw the flaws and he agreed and told us to take the new one. I took the new ring unhappy losing the sentimental value of the ring and the new ring having a slightly different coloring of the saphire. Two weeks later I was back again, this time the diamonds on the band were falling out. I informed the manager and had them repaired. I came back to pickup the ring only to see they were now raised above the rest of the diamonds. The manager now again suggested us to get another ring. They ordered it so I was inconvienced for another 2 weeks. I then made another trip to Jared where now not only was there a giant flaw that made the stone look like it was cracked in half, but the sides were sharp and irritated my gf's finger which we knew was not right because we had 3 rings prior. The manager said there was no more rings readily available, but they will search around and call us back in a week two weeks max. A month later we called them and the manager was not available and we left a message. They still never got it touch with us a week later so we called again and still no response. After over a month of no contact and me personally refusing to have to return to that store once again I called corporate. They were shock at how poorly ran this particular Jared location operated and informed us they were notifying the manager to refund us our money and if he did not approve it we would have to go on through more steps and headaches. The manager luckily approved the return, because they realized not only do they have horrible craftsmanship but they also have horrible customer service. After all of this chaos my girlfriend was happy this nightmare was just over. Never compensated for all the time lost traveling back and forth to be rudely talked down to. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else but here.

I left a ring 2 weeks before appraisals were to be done at the store in Frisco TX. (They only do appraisals there once a month) I never received a phone call to come get my ring. I showed up at the store and they informed me they "were too busy with appointments" to have my ring appraised. My ring was there over 3 weeks and I had prepaid the almost $200.00 fee. I will NEVER use Jared's again.

I will NEVER buy from this company again! My fiance brought my engagement ring for me back in Nov. 2016. He proposed to me the next day after buying it. I took it in for its 6 month cleaning about April 2017, after being questioned about where he had brought the ring and if I was sure he had brought it from them or if I had ever had it clean or worked on anywhere else, they had told me that the ring I have does not match the ring he had purchased (the one on his original receipt) in fact the ring I have was worth over $10,000 (his original one only being about $5,000) and looks to them that a mistake had been made when he had picked up my ring the first time and he had received the wrong one! SO here I am confused as to what happens now, that is a huge mistake on their end. After a few employees had left to discuss the situation, they had came back to me and both had said the mistake was entirely on them, I have nothing to worry about, what's done is done, and they promised that no one would take my ring it was now mine. They did advise me to get an appraisal on it since the one on the receipt doesn't match what I have, that way if anything ever happened to it I would be able to replace it with the same value of what it is and not the one that my fiance was supposed to receive in the beginning. So I did just that. In May I took it in the get appraised, payed for it, and they said I would hear back in 2 weeks at most. A week went by and my fiance got a call from the appraiser, he was also confused by the ring not matching the one on the receipt, he explained the situation and they carried on with the appraisal. I had figured the whole 2 week wait had restarted. So on June 17, I had realized I still haven't heard anything from them, so I called them that evening. They put me on with the manager Dustin who had then told me, that they had found there is a police report on the ring I have, from the family it had originally belonged to, the diamond was there family heirloom and they would be pleased to hear that it had been located. He asked if we would come in the speak with him, I had set the time for Monday but after my fiance had seen me balling my eyes out he didn't want to wait til then. That same night my fiance and I had dropped by to get this settled, Dustin had discussed a few different things that may happen, but in the end he wanted to make sure that I was happy with what I have and same with this family that it belongs to. He said he was the middle man with cooperate and he was waiting to hear from them so if we could come back as planned on Monday. On the Monday June 19th my fiance and I had went in he took us to his office, his wanting to make sure I left happy was no longer his concern. Dustin had said they found the ring my fiance had originally purchased so all there is left was to give back what I have and take that one. He said if I didn't return that ring, that they would press charges on my fiance for theft, since they have him on camera the day he picked it up. That he should have known that wasn't his to begin with.
My fiance has never done this before in his life, he was nervous, and the same employee that he had originally designed it with was the one that delivered it to him the day he picked it up. So I find it a little funny that they put this on him and nothing on the employee! Because of the threat, we had done the exchange and my fiance took it to cooperate himself. After speaking with multiple people they all would say something should be done to make us happy and we should be compensated for our troubles and they would transfer us to someone new, in the end the final decision is a refund or to just except that I had lost what I thought was my ring this whole time and take the original one.
I am not trying to be greedy, but honestly to be proposed to with a ring show it to family and friends, go on planning the wedding and thinking about buying wedding bands soon, to having what I felt was mine be taken from me and nothing was done to make me happy, is complete crap!

My fiancé and I did business at the Jared Vault in Monroe Ohio. We had a total bait and switch experience! Terrible customer service from both Pamela - sales associate and Rose - Assist. MGT. What Pamela did reflected that she was still in training and not reliable at all and Rose delivered false promises to cover up their errors . My fiancé purchased my engagement ring at this location and all we wanted to do was order the matching band and his wedding band. Ultimately Pamela had us drive from Columbus to the Monroe (Cincinnati) area 3 times for nothing!!!!! The first time it was to put a 20% deposit down in person because it cant be done over the phone. Subsequently we discovered by the manager Rose that we didn't have to put a deposit down. Then when the rings came in, the store has NO RECORD that we put a 20% ($500) deposit down. Not acceptable. So we left with no rings while they try to figure out the truth that we did in fact place a deposit. Also during this visit, Rose the manger told us that we wouldn't have to make a third trip because of this inconvenience and we can make the remaining payment over the phone and that she would insure and mail the rings to a local Jared store in Columbus Easton mall area. Subsequently this was another blatant lie. So we informed store manager Kim that we no longer want to work with Pam or Rose because of their unprofessionalism and lies just to keep their commission/ deal in house. To make matters worse once Pamela learned of our request, she called my fiancé after we said we no longer wanted to do business with her. She called crying. Literally crying on the phone but still had no solution for us. So once Kim found record of our deposit - we made the third and final trip to get our rings. Who knew the ring vendor would be the worst part of planning a wedding. If you choose this store, get their promises written on paper and keep all of your receipts.

I bought the forever diamond ring for $1000 it had 2 gold pieces around the diamond, 10 months later the gold pieces fell off. we went to Jared to have it fixed and I would pay for it. I was told it could not be fixed ,so they offered to buy my ring for $500 and sell me a new one because I did not buy the warranty.[which they never stop trying to sell you] if they sold a good product I shouldn't need a warranty. so either way they make an additional $500. this place sells junk , would never buy from them again and if they sold quality jewelry I wouldn't be writing now. they do not stand behind their product unless they make more money.
