Every associate that worked on my project was prompt with their part of the process. They responded to my emails and questions on time and in details, even at midnight and over the weekends. They truly encouraged me to push forward. One associate even negotiated the cost downward in my favor and gave me a workable payment plan. I-Universe was patient with me and guided me the way I needed to be guided throughout the process. They didn't rush me at any time and I was relaxed to put in my best.

I have done half a dozen books with iUniverse and find them an excellent company. I would not return to them so often if I were not so very satisfied with their work. The books look amazing.

My experience with iUniverse has been great. Very friendly customer service, excellent book printing quality, and their willing to collaborate effectively with me to produce a great book.
I've had many helpful interactions with iUniverse employees, who have assisted me along the way, particularly with one who is very polite and interesting gentleman, a senior marketing supervisor - Mr. Alfred Riley. Thank you iUniverse.

You better make sure that you know how much money you will be spending before hand so you will not be surprised later on.
Also, the costumer service representatives are very rude and hard to deal with. I would never wish my experience on anyone else

So far so good. They have done everything they said they would do. My “In this Life and the Next” books should be here today and I’m very excited.

This is my first book and first experience working with a publishing firm. I had no idea what was involved and what to expect. I am blessed to say that at each stage of the process my assigned coordinators were extremely helpful and they guided me through. All and all it went smoothly.

I decided not to publish my book through iuniverse because they make it very difficult to be a self publisher. After canceling my association with them, they kept $400.00 from the amount I initially paid them. They owe me a refund of $2,500. One week later I’m still waiting for the refund. They tell me they are “working on the refund”, however, I keep getting excuses as to why I haven’t received my money. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy!! If I don’t hear back from them today, I’m probably going to hire an attorney and sue them in Civil Court.

Recommendations during the process non-existing. Published five books previously with iUniverse and the sixth, The Tattered Collar was demoralizing. I mistook the size of the book as 8”by 11” and no one suggested that was a poor choice and that my previous publications were smaller. The 8” by 11” is a disaster. Also, lack of staffing delayed the process.

The publishing team that assisted with submission and the design team that helped with production were responsive and easy to work with. I have a wonderful published product! The only downside now is that marketing is so expensive, so I've had to resort to doing it myself if I want to make any sales.

IUniverse was terrific. They walked us through every step of our Journey.

There were too many hic ups, in the production of my book.
The first was the Editorial Summary, Fifty pages of canned nonsense.
The second was misleading me on the length of years a copyright is good for. Kimberly Fox made me believe that the length was only 17 years.
The third was by E. Thomas, indicating that I needed to obtain permission from each author that I had quoted in my book when all I needed was a footnote.

The publishing process went smoothly. the staff very kind. I personally purchased services and invested to market my book which is very important, but I am very disappointed since I don't see any difference in the outcome. Marketing a book especially for fictions is very important, I did it for my part, but I think the marketing team is not efficient and strong enough in Iuniverse. Kind regards.

I really feel duped using iUniverse.
Before a skilled sales-lady called me, I had self-published two books. I paid a LOT of money for iuniverse to help with both (even though they were already published-my bad) the sales gal explained they would be re-published, new and improved, new covers, more edits, with new ISBNs etc. She further told me iUniverse knew there was much more to publishing, specifically marketing (they call a lot and every time ask for more money-every time!) The problem was after a year of back an forth with them my first book was republished and it was basically the same. (I got a 'form' email that said, "congratulations, you're a self-published author!" Uuummm I was a self-published author before confirming to me, I was nothing more than a number in their system. Oh... and it's up to me to market, even though this was supposed to be a part of the package, it was more money if I wanted them to do it.
In the mean time, I had published, recorded/audiobook and moved forward with my second book. It won two awards without them doing anything. LONG STORY SHORT-iUniverse did nothing for me I couldn't have done myself. I regret using them as I could have used that money for a massive marketing promotion and it would have been money better spent. If you're considering self-publishing, just do it, these folks aren't going to do anything for you you can't do yourself.

An excellent team of editors and organizers for your manuscript. Easy to work with and available for contacting. This was my fourth experience.

The final product of the book turned out good. Could have been better if we could have placed some images (pictures, etc) in it. There was some miscommunication involving different departments. In the end, it turned out to be a very expensive project. There was no follow-up involving the marketing people. We probably will go with a different publishing company next time.

I used iUniverse to publish my first book Operation ARGUS in 2018 and chose them again for my second book Bikini Bravo, and my third, Cold Courage - the latter two both in the works and due to be published later in 2019.
At times communications are a little frustrating but overall, I rated iUniverse with 5 Stars as ultimately they come up with the goods and turn a writer's tales into a professional publication that has access to a wide distribution network (print on demand) for sales.

I'm sorry I am not getting personalized help I need, plus I did pay a lot and still have not seen any results. Though I would be delegating more on iUniverse instead of having to be more involved, but if I am not, the branding is not right and I am not getting any marketing support as I thought I would from the intitial package. I am offered extras (a lot and frequently but how can I pay/buy more if I am not yet satisfied with what I have) ... like take the web design it does not follow any kind of guideline of how to use it to sell... I am trying to work out the final stages and make the most out of it though - hope to get more / better help soon.

IUNIVERSE does a fair job editing and impressive book cover designs. You will get an email informing the project is complete but if you are waiting for your own books that come with your package you have to pay shipping and handling . You would think that it was included in the package. You will get a call cornering you to remind you of this and how many additional books you want to order. The self publishing industry is a nightmare but IUNIVERSE seems to be on the right path. If I did not encounter this issue I would have rated a five and would like to see shipping added in the package.
