A friend gave us a £30 voucher after hearing that my husband is terminally ill, thinking we could spend it at a hotel we had already booked through Best Western, a company HVS purport to work with. I eventually discovered I had to use the voucher only by booking direct with HVS so thought I would put it towards another break. HAHA!!! I've been trying for months to book somewhere on their website, I've emailed them, rung them but have found it impossible to get anywhere with them. Just tried the website again and can't even get it to do a search in any of my chosen areas. DON'T TOUCH THIS LOT - THEY ARE A SCAM!!! I'm just so angry that my friend spent £30 on a really thoughtful gift and it was totally wasted money.

We just noticed the company went in liquidation. Those motherf..... took our money but now give us nothing in return or will probably not pay us back. €200 euros down the drain. Disgusting sons o' b*tches!!

A voucher was purchased for us by family and we tried to use it on Wednesday. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told our booking had been cancelled on the Sunday. We had not cancelled. We had also added money by credit card to include dinner at the hotel. We tried to call but there was no possibility to get through to anyone. Only to leave messages. I have left several, and also emailed them and filled in their contact form. No one has called back. I doubt anyone is even there at all. We were lucky, the hotel were great and they had another room which we paid for. But I see others have not been so fortunate. This appears just to be a dreadful scam, causing people to lose precious time away. Next stop Trading Standards!!

On 07/02/2019 I ordered 2 vouchers from you (£25 and £50)
On 08/02/2019 I emailed your support to ask if the vouchers were refundable. To which I was told they were not.
On 12/02/2019 I received my vouchers.
On 27/02/2019 I used my vouchers to make a booking at a hotel. I also paid an extra £45 on top as the vouchers did not cover the full amount. This £45 was taken from my bank on this day from HOTEL STAY UK LEISURE.
On 06/04/2019 I arrived at Doubletree by Hilton Ealing to find that my booking was not on their system. They advised they had received a cancellation from HOTELBEDS UK LTD on 04/04/2019. I can confirm that I had not requested this.
I was then told I would have start a new booking with the hotel direct and that I would be charged for it. As you can imagine the rate for the room was far more expensive than what I had paid.
As a result of paying for the hotel on the day this had caused many of my Direct Debits to have been returned due to funds no longer being available.
To this day I have never received a cancellation email, or a refund for the £120 I paid for the hotel (£25 + £50 Voucher and £45 Debit Card)

Can I urge anybody who has been scammed by this company to join the Facebook group #paybackfaye. We are a group of people who have all been affected by their fraudulent behaviour and are trying our best to claim our hard earnt cash back. The more people that contact the liquidators and detailing their case the more chance we have of bringing this company to justice for stealing our cash and ruining our well deserved holidays.

My mum bought me £250 worth of vouchers for my birthday from Hotelvouchershop.com. On trying to redeem them the website was not working. Once it was up and running we went to book only to discover that we were being charged well over the standard tariff price for the rooms. In fact they wanted £700 for 2 rooms which would normally cost just over £200. We complained. Hotelvouchershop told us to book and then they would refund the difference. Feeling that they were trying to scam us out of even more money we refused and after several emails the company agreed to refund us the value of our vouchers. That was 5 weeks ago We have received nothing since. Absolutely furious that they have taken peoples hard earned cash knowing that they weren't going to honour their commitments.

What can I say. Have been unable to fulfill any search criteria if we put a child under 2 in since the site went down no matter what date or where we put in (despite being able to before their website issues). When we queried this with the company their first response was basically 'try booking without the child' and their second response when we informed them that this was unacceptable was 'book a room for two adults with us where you want to go and then ring the hotel and see if they can give you a cot'. Totally unacceptable. Apparently despite being able to search to include an under 2 they say a lot of hotels may reserve their family rooms for their own direct bookings. Perhaps if you have zero availability to accommodate Under 2s this should be on your website to prevent people like me wasting my money!!

Oh my god... disgraceful, How are companies like this allowed to trade, my husband has a £500 voucher, for his 70th birthday... cannot book anything at all through website..no telephone number, sent a message on their on line service...no response....DO NOT SPEND Money here... read the reviews.. they need to be removed from all websites etc.. we are so disappointed that people can be scammed in this way.. maybe the government need to be looking at these rip off companies...

Have been unable to use the voucher!!! Had a reservation for a hotel to use the voucher and paid additional money. On arrival the reservation (confirmed) was cancelled. Money gone and voucher.
No one picks up the phone, no one answers emails.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

I am hugely disappointed in the service received from this company. My elderly mother asked me to buy tokens on her behalf for her to give to my brother on his 60th birthday. £200 represented a significant expense for her.
When my brother and his wife attempted to use the tokens, they experienced a series of problems. They contacted HVS who assured them that it would all be resolved in a few days and there has been no communication since.
Meanwhile I have written to the company using email, Facebook and the messaging service on their website. Apart from one automated reply, I have had no response at all.
A few minutes searching the internet makes it clear that our experience is typical. The good reviews that I checked quickly before buying the tokens largely write about how quickly the vouchers are delivered. How I wish I'd read them more carefully.
I would advise anyone to steer well clear of this company.

I suspect this company is in financial trouble. Like lots of others our hotel booking was cancelled by them 2 days before the check in date. It was done at 8 minutes past midnight which suggests an automated cancellation process. My guess is they have run out of cash to pay the hotels. Don’t use them. If you have a booking contact the hotel and verify it so you are not left like us arriving and finding we have no room. They don’t answer the phone either. Appalling. You are better booking direct or using an online booking company .

I've never experienced anything as poor as this. We are just returning home after attempting to check into the hotel that this company confirmed as booked! The hotel said that HVS had cancelled the booking (we did not request this) and they were fully booked, and we could not afford to find another place. Attempts to contact the customer service during their "office hours" were not answered.
Do not give these vouchers as a gift to anyone.

The payment for the vouchers was made by my daughter in law as a gift via her debit card. She contacted Lloyd's bank and thankfully this bank operates a charge back scheme and after taking the details, they refunded the money back into her account immediately. Well worth contacting your bank for help. Hope you all find this useful.

Never used this company but I think it’s hilarious that they make fake accounts to write fake reviews for their fake company. They only respond to the fake positive reviews but ignore the negatives... all of the positive reviews are first names only and no picture.. pathetic

Chris Orrell, the director of this company, deserves to be prosecuted and serve a custodial sentence for his treatment of innocent, hard working people. Not allowed to continue operating a business (Hotel Exclusives/Travel Circus) and posting offers on his social media sites from We Work offices in Kings Cross. The company's British Travel Awards should be removed, he is not fit to be a company director, and the police should and will be notified about how is attempting to wriggle out of this by applying for compulsory liquidation.

Just to let people who used this scam of a company ..they are now in liquidation. But CEO Chris Orrell has other companies ie Hotel Exclusives/Travel Circus and few others. Be warned not to use these companies. Facebook page #paybackfaye has useful info on trying to get money back. 😠😠😠
