I bought a drone on-line from Hobbytron for my 9 year old granddaughter for Christmas. Living in Iowa she could not use it until just 2 weeks ago, but when she did it only worked for about 4 minutes before one of the rotor motors stopped working. I contacted the company, they were reluctant to even acknowledge that I had purchased it from them even though they sent me emails asking me to review it after my purchase. They then said they could not do anything about it since their warranty is only good for 45 days. Their suggestion was to buy replacement parts that - big surprise - can only be purchased from them. I have never had such awful customer service and feel totally scammed by them.
In your reply to this review you state: “We offered you parts to help rectify the situation.” That is very misleading. You did not “offer” me parts you said I could purchase replacement parts from you.

Ordered a drone for a Christmas gift. It flew once and that's it! I tried to call Hobbytron to arrange an exchange but they were not accepting call due to the high volume so I sent an email. They took so long in responding that I just bought a replacement from another company which worked wonderfully! I finally received a response but they only offered store credit. I was told they would not offer a refund for their defective product. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL NOT REFER ANY OTHER OF MY FRIENDS. Bad Service & defective products!!

I ordered three items as a gift. All three were about two weeks late and I missed the event. I ordered them several weeks earlier.
When I finally got them, at least one of them was defective. Still haven’t tried out all three. They are refusing to give me A refund for the defective product.
Do not buy from these guys.

They have had my order for 7 days and still haven't shipped it.
I have asked for an update, on multiple occasions, but all the say is that "Your order is still being processed in the warehouse".
They are making me very concerned I fear they are going to let me and my sons down.
I would think twice about using these guys for Xmas.
Here's the latest - look at how they treat their customers. Don't risk dealing with them

you: I placed order 7 days ago, still hasn't been despatched and you won't give me a date when the order will be shipped. Why is that?

Customer Services.: your order is in the warehouse processing
you: These are Xmas presents and I am concerned you won't get them to me in time. I can't afford for you to let me down so if you can't honour the order then let me know, I will cancel get a refund and go elsewhere. Just let me know what the deal is.
you: I know it is in the warehouse processing - that's all you say and quite frankly it isn't good enough. You can't take my money and not send the products when you state they are in stock. What is the reason for the delay?
Customer Services.: You will receive an email once it ships
you: WHEN WILL THEY SHIP?! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?
you: I need this escalating. Please give me your managers contact details?
Customer Services.: We will go ahead and cancel the order
Customer Services.: and issue a refund
you: Unbelievable. Terrible service.
Customer Services..: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
you: Are you joking?

Ordered a Christmas gift for my grandson on the 10th of December and the order never arrived. Called customer server and was told to contact USPS the carrier. USPS never received the package. Called HobbyTron back and they said they would check with the third party carrier and send me an email with updates. 2 weeks later still haven't heard anything. Called back to Hobbytron and Customer Service gave me the same statement. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Ask for then to reship the item and was told they was unable to since the first one shipped. Ask for manager and was transferred to a line that eventually went to voice mail. Called back and was placed on hold with no one answering. originally when i called i was caller number one then the system reverted me to caller number 2. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I'm hating myself for spending my money on this "online shop", I payed about 80 dollars for a drone, paid for shipping and those scammers haven't sent it to me, three weeks passed, I'm texting them on the live chat every damn day and all they say is "sorry for delay, it will be shipped today or tomrrow", as I said, it's the start of 4th week now, if I would be from USA, I would drive to their office, but I'm from Europe and I can't.
It would be way way better to buy any RC toy from eBay or Aliexpress, at least people there actually cares about their customers and if there is a problem with the item or shipping they are trying to help, not like these people, I gave them the money that I could spend to live entire month and they won't even give me what I bought from them.
Don't buy from them, there is way better online shops where people actually cares about their customers.

Never ever would buy another item from this company !Bought an airplane that came in with a broken tail , never unpacked it , just opened the box , saw the tail been broken , made the photos and closed it back , created RMA . 1 week goes by and I am still fighting with hobby tron to take my item back and issue a refund, they keep throwing it back at manufacturer , but manufacturer has nothing to do with it , all they can do is to fix , replace parts. Customer service is SO rude ! Instead of helping they attack you! When I finally got a hold a manager called Ben , I got even more rude treatment , couldn't handle, had to pass an issue to my husband. Based on my experience , it is a standard treatment provided to a customer by hobbytron. I would seriously consider shopping somewhere else.

This company is scamming and defrauding people of their money. They advertise great prices, ship you crap quality, don't stand behind their products and refuse to give people their money back when their products don't work. My son is out money he worked hard for and saved for, got a airlift gun that doesn't work and Hobby Tron wants me to fill out paperwork to have it repaired BUT I have to wait 8-10 business days to get a response as to what avenue they wish to take. I called not even 24 hours after delivery to tell them there were items missing and that the gun does not work and they informed me that they have a no refund policy when the items have been opened? Guess I'll check my ESP next time before I open a product to see if it works so I can get my money back ... oh and their 45 day product warranty has no description. BUYERS BE WARE!!!!

Purchased the super hero drones for grandchildren for Christmas. 2 of them broke right away. Insurance was no good because the product could not be returned in original packaging. REALLY CHRISTMAS and maintaining original packaging of 7 grandchildren. Hobbytron would not even refund my cost for the purchase of worthless insurance. I mailed in product and they paid to return it to me because it was not in the original packaging but wouldn't refund my $15 for the insurance. Poor customer service.

I got the helicopter for my step-son for Christmas. we played with it for less than two hours when their tail rotor piece broke off. I tried to do the return policy or even exchange it and got the runaround I'll never buy from Hobby Tron ever again. This is the reason I don't buy anything off the internet.

I wanted to surprise my techie brother with a drone. I know nothing about them but Hobbytron's website was very informative and helpful. I didn't want to get a toy and the high tech drones were out of my price range. But Hobbytron had reconditioned drones at a fraction of the new price. I ordered hoping that ( for the price I was paying) I wouldn't get a scratched up used looking, but operational drone. When it arrived I was really impressed! Both the drone and the box looked brand new. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

My package arrived for Christmas. I opened it and the transmitter would not turn on. I contacted customer service. After multiple calls and emails they finally emailed me back. They sent a replacement transmitter. Upon arrival, the second transmitter would not turn on either. I contact them again and they said they do not do refunds, but I could send it back to them (shipping on me) and they would repair it. There is no reason it should cost me more to get a purchase working.

I ordered several remote control helicopters because they claimed they are unbreakable! So they all broke within the first day, they worked but the body's cracked. The claim was you could hit them with a hammer and they would not break. Totally not true, when you had a rough landing in the grass they cracked, then they denied my return!

I purchased a sonic 2.4ghz 4.5ch live-view video electric RC drone for my son-in-law for Christmas. ( $145.14 ) During the first flight one of the engines froze up. Contacted the company for a replacement. I purchased the drone way before the holidays. They said that I only had 30 days from the date of purchase to have it replaced. I then said that I would be willing to purchase a new engine where the company said that they didn't have any replacement parts for this particular drone at this time. They said that it would be approximately 4-6 weeks before having any replacement parts available. Here it is March 18, 2017 still no parts! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone....

I purchased a remote control helicopter that was supposed to be indestructible. It was not. After minor flying, the blades started to break. They would not replace it or stand behind their product. It took persistence and 2 weeks to get a response. I will never buy from them again.

Having seen their products on The Today Show, suggesting 'best ideas' for Christmas gifts, I ordered 3 remote 'superhero' fliers. One flat out was broken, one still in question. They did not want to take my return, I had to fight for it with lots of calls & emails, I shipped 1 back on Jan 25. and have never heard back from them. Guess I'll have to call & fight with them again.

I have ordered a helicopter which needed replacing...which hobby tron did replace with in a months time...which i think is way to long of a time period.....i ordered a drone...when i recieved it ot had no sd card and the battery would not hold a charge.....hobytron replaced that after a long wait...then once i got it running the camera didnt work....so i gave up pn ordering from here anymore....which is a shsme becsude of the great prices.....i feel my drome should have been replaced also....good luck ordering from these guys....
