I had a horrible experience with HappyCar, not only because the car I booked and paid in Spain with them to be picked up in Los Angeles (USA) was cancelled without no reason at all, but also because after the mess HappyCar has not responded with a solution. The situation was stressful and when I tried to contact HappyCar to looking for alternative solutions they weren't available due to European working times. I got very surprised that a company that works across the world, it doesn't have 24h customer experience services. Please, be careful if you are going to book with them as if the car booked is cancelled they DO NOT RESPOND or DO NOT LET YOU KNOW IN AVANCE. Apart from that, I had to pay more expensive renting car (plus the one I paid) as I need it to move within LA. Additionally, they haven't responded with the right solution apart from the refund of the car I booked through them but about the consequences are pending on other stakeholders that we never had contact with. They keep saying that the problem was for the renting car company, but I booked through HappyCar, which I was really surprised as I'm still waiting for a solution of this mess. I have never had an experience like this one and I have the feeling that the company is fake. Basically, I booked and paid a car that I never used and nobody told me that the car was cancelled until I got to the renting car company. If you are going to travel, please do not use this company as its unsecure and unprofessional. Disaster company.

I rented a car for collection at Menorca’s airport, selecting a filter for collection and delivery ONLY within the airport’s terminal. On this basis I picked an offer with a company called Inter rent. The confirmation of the reservation, the rental voucher and a text message received this evening, all confirmed that the pick up and delivery of the car was due from the car park 1 at the airport’s terminal.
Upon arriving at the collection point we couldn’t find an office for Inter rent. A competitor’s member of staff informed us that Inter rent was based outside the airport and we had to walk all the way back to the terminal and from there, walk to a meeting point and wait for a mini bus to take us to the collection point, outside the airport!
When complaining with a member of staff at the Inter rent counter, once we got there ... she told us we have to complain to Happycar because our contract is with them! So I have ... and I bet they will say I have to complain with Inter car - apparently they moved out of the airport in May this year ... but my reservation with them via Happycar was made 1 week ago ... I’ll be back with a follow up but in the meantime, do not use Happycar! Or inter rent, if you wish to hire a car at Mahon’s airport with collection at the terminal (perhaps nowhere else as I would certainly not trust them in future)

I booked a car for April 18 at the Casablanca airport (local agent Global rent-a-car) for 96 euros and they charged me in advance 106, with Europcar as a beneficiary. I can not clarify anything.
On April 17 I receive an SMS with a link with the latest information, which does not work. I arrived at the Casablanca airport on April 18 and I looked for the Global office where all of them, but they told me they did not and that I have to go directly to the parking lot. I'm going, but not there either. They tell me he is an agent. I have to locate it. (?) I ask. I go around the airport. Nothing. In the end, I start shouting 'Global' at the door of Terminal 2. A taxi driver takes pity on me and tells me that he has the agent number and the flame, I talk to her and she tells me that in two minutes, but at the minute He calls again and tells me that my reservation is canceled because I did not show up on time (two hours have passed) and that he feels it, but he can not do anything, since the intermediary company canceled it. She hang up the phone. THE CAR WAS PAID !!!
Flee everything that has to do with these companies like the plague, especially from Europcar, and they ripped me off on another occasion, in Italy. I would not have contracted with them, but I did not know they used the Happycar brand as a cover. They are professional scammers.
My advice is to contract and negotiate directly with the local agent. Right there, in aerp. Casablanca I hired with Genial-Car, and I did not have any problems, on the contrary, they made things easier for me. The same in Marrakesh with YacoutTours. Contact them by e-mail to advance procedures and book, but do not use the intermediaries, especially Europcar and its associated brands, are mafia businesses. Thieves

They are simply not reliable, don't expect that your car will be there after booking.
I hired a car at the Sevilla Airport on Saturday more than two hours in advance. I received a confirmation email immediately saying that the booking code would be sent by email before the rental period. Three hours later I was still waiting for confirmation, but never received confirmation or cancellation (not even one day later). Calling the customer service did not help either because they don't work on weekends. Of course this was never announced during the booking. After sending an email, they (finally) replied 24 hours later (!) saying that, since they did not provide the service, they did not charge for it, but recommending to check my bank account just in case. No car, not even an apology.
This is the deal: you book with them, then you may (or may not) get the service.
