All you people who have given these 10 out of 10 should rad the 296 reviews posted on another review site. We are having g a nightmare with FV and wouldn't even give them 1 star. I will be putting a review of the whole saga we have had with them. The guardsmen treatment is a rip off because it is basically an insurance policy where if you have household content insurance you should be covered by that plus they have their own guarantees (if you can get them to own up to things being their faults). Don't go anywhere near Fv.

The salesperson was very helpful without being at all pushy. He supplied us with all the information we requested then left us to think about the sofas we were looking at. We told him we would measure up at home then come back if we wished to go ahead. We went back a few days later and he was again most helpful in processing our order.

Purchased a £2500+ sofa, as seen in store.
When delivered the configuration was different, due to a slight model change. When we requested to have what we saw and ordered, we were told to pay an extra £1200 or take £250 to accept the wrong goods.
Alternatively collection and refund, which leaves us with no sofa for another 2 to 3 months.
Furniture Village sold us a dud and won't accept their failures, appalling customer service.
We have had to chance them for answers and they hide behind the need to speak to senior managers excuse.
It almost like we half have you over a barrel so do us a favour and please go away.

I bought a living room suite last year and wanted some extra fabric to make some seat covers. I phone Furniture Village and the service was excellent. The customer agent was well informed, kept me posted, explained when I was likely to get a call back with price of the fabric. She actually phoned back about 30 minutes later and I proceeded with the transaction. Very easy. They explained that it probably would be several weeks before I received the fabric but they would try to expedite -- however, I think this was very fair and was very pleased with the entire conversation / transaction.

I have tried to cancel my order since lunch time due to preferring another range shown online which is not on display at the Norwich store and am being told my £500 deposit should be held as a good gesture to try and obtain an item from another branch to try before I buy. I’m told my order is on hold with the manufacturer but I wish to cancel it & be reimbursed for my deposit.

Excellent sales staff, allowed me to look around without being pressurised to buy something, answered all my questions and gave me a sample of the leather so I could match paint colours etc. I brought my last sofas from there 12 years ago, they still look good but I just wanted a change

We bought a (luxury) bed from furniture Village with a leather bed frame.
The leather frame is peeling very badly and is highly toxic.
We do not recommend any leather products from furniture Village.
I saw in the reviews that someone else had the same problem with a peeling leather sofa. It was unfortunate that we didn’t see this review before we bought.
It is definitely a No No. it’s a shame I cannot share pictures in here.
It is extremely unhealthy as we are breathing these toxics peels.

SHOCKING FURNITURE VILLAGE
FALSE REPORT FOR SOFA REPAIR
I had a damaged delivered Sofa from Furniture Village
Long story short of what happened:
- Previously had a dispute which the didn't resolve
- They sent someone to inspect and obviously they reported that everything was fine for them
- Reported damage on missing piece of leather
- The repair made was rubbish and I asked for compensation back
- They replied the repair was perfect by providing a manipulated repair report with pictures not representing the reality(I can prove)
- Talked with manager of the branch but never heard back from him
I had a damage from delivery for which it was said that I had done it. They said they could have repaired it and it wouldn't have been visible and so I agreed.
The guy that came made the repair and whilst he was working on it I immediately understood I had made a mistake as the repair was very poor. He said to don't worry as it will fade and it will be fine within a month!
So, in doubt I said ok let's wait a month and after that time passed I called Furniture village and reported that the repair made was rubbish and that they ad ruined the sofa!
So they sent me back the report from the company they use for the repair and with the pictures taken from the guy before and after the repair.
What was SHOCKING was that the guy took pictures on another cushion where the damage was not present and also he took a picture on the affected and repaired area but covering it with the plastic pointer they normally use to indicate the point of repair!
Very upset I went into the shop and talked with the new malden branch manager to show this. He said I will look at it but then I never heard anything about it!
This is something Furniture Village would deserve to be taken in court as this is fraud and false reporting of services provided!
AVOID THIS COMPANY, IF YOU BUY AVOID ANY REPAIR AS THEY ARE NOT GOOD. THEY WILL FIND ANY EXCUSE TO SAY YOU ARE WRONG ... LIKE IN MY CASE THEY WILL EVEN PROVIDE FALSE REPORTS WITH FALSE OR RETOUCHED PICTURES TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE RIGHT!
For Furniture Village, Customer Satisfaction IS NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL!
I have all the proofs and the FALSE report. I will SUE Furniture Village for damaging the good for which they also refused to provide a compensation for (given the leather is now ruined!)

Ordered sofa and chair in December 2018 and was delivered middle of March but rejected because of faults, Re-ordered and delivered end of June but rejected again with more faults then the first furniture. So agreed to have different sofa and chair but made by same Chinese manufacturer but when that arrived in there warehouse they rejected it because of manufacturing faults so agreed to have full refund. Phone call from sales manager to do refund but was advised that it could not be done because I haven’t got the original card that I paid on so got to wait for up to two weeks before the cheque arrives from head office, then wait again for the cheque to be cleared. Won’t be using Furniture Village again very poor quality Chinese rubbish and long wait to get refund.
