On time since before departure. Easy check-in by app with the driver, that was smiling and kind. Very clean, nice smell, including toilet. I was really surprised about. Comfortable seats and had various plug where recharge Yr devices was a luxury. WiFi was good and always useful! I highly recommend to travel with Flixbus. A nice and unexpected alternative.

To begin, the trip from Budapest to Trieste was nice. The bus was on time, the drivers, while not particularly friendly, were professional. We arrived in Trieste a few minutes early even though we had an unscheduled stop at a rest area so that one of the drivers could exchange a package with a truck driver and have a conversation.
It was on the return trip that I had problems. I was scheduled to take a morning bus from Trieste, Italy to Budapest, Hungary. After waiting for almost an hour with no bus, one of my fellow travellers went in to the station to find out what was happening. It turns out that the bus diverted to another stop and had left (because of a marathon race on the streets of Trieste). None of us had been notified of this change. The rest of the group was going to a closer location and the local services took care of them for additional cost. My trip was much longer and I was told that there was nothing anyone could do. Finally the counter girl took pity on me and called Flixbus for me. There was a bus leaving at midnight (more than a 12 hour delay) or another one the next morning. I chose the midnight bus as there was no offer of accomodation or meals or any of the other things specified in the carriage agreement. After much discussion, I was told that they would be willing to let me take that bus but that I would have to pay an additional 19 Euro. Not only did I have to sit around for 12 hours but it cost me a sizeable amount. I did not receive any offers to provide the things specified in the cs agreement. This was in no way my fault as I was at the bus stop well ahead of the specified time. There were several other passengers there as well and no one received notification of a change. I would say terrible customer service but there was no customer service.

GOT ROBBED BY THE DRIVER, HE DIDNT LET US IN EVEN WHEN SHOWING OUR PASSPORTS AND TICKETS, AND ASKED FOR MONEY. DO NOT BOOK ON FLIXBUS!!!!

This is my experience :
I booked two tickets for me and my sister to go back home in Catania, from Turin - 119.00€ each, 238.00€ in total.
The entire journey is 20 hours, of course it ran late and it took 24 hours but this is not the worst.
Our journey was set to take place on 22nd of December and because we were expecting 20h of travel, we have supposed to have all the comforts in the bus (to be clear we were expecting to have them because it is what they claim on their website) but not even one:
- No Wi-Fi on board
- No plugs! - Exactly, NO PLUGS which means not having your phone on for 20h, no calls to your family, not even texts.
- Super tiny seats, no space for legs at all
- Unusable and totally dirty toilette
We spent 24h (because of delay) without phone, calls, texts. Nobody knew about our journey because we needed some battery to call our parents once we arrived.
The worst experience ever, paid much more (about 40% more) than the other bus services in Christmas time and having back much less.
Now that 2019 is coming, I was expecting to travel on 2000’s bus at least, but it was an 90’s experience (almost 30 years ago).
Avoid this company, absolutely.

I’LL NEVER USE Flixbus again. I booked a trip from Las Vegas to Palm Springs, California. They gouge you on bags. When I booked I miscalculated my number of bags (I had one more than I originally booked), and they then made me rebook all my bags, and charged me $40 more because I was now booking the luggage closer to the departure time of the trip. In addition, when we booked there was no way to find out the street address of the drop-off point in Palm Springs. So I sent them an email as suggested by their website. This is what I wrote:
“Where is the FlixBus bus station in downtown Palm Springs, CA? I booked a ticket there from Las Vegas, but nowhere am I told the street address for where we will be dropped off in Palm Springs. All it says is downtown.”
Here is the asinine response I got back:
“You did not yet indicate what FlixBus should do to make this right.”
I also called their customer service number, which told me “to press 1 for English,” and when I did I got an automated response in German!
Their website is terrible, their customer service appalling, and their luggage pricing policy is tantamount to extortion. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

It was a terrible experience. The wifi on board was actually not working for 5 hours of trip. When I reached my destination from Pisa to Rome Fiumicino I had the bad surprise that my trolley bag was not there and someone else, in the previous stop to Grosseto, took my bag without any control and check of the drivers. When I asked for explanation and help to the driver, he was really rude and in a totally unprofessional way said that was my problem and he could not do anything to help me to recover my bag. When I called the customer service, it was unreachable and after many calls, finally the person told me that they are not responsable for the buggage transported on their buses and that in my case I should recover the bag by myself from the other customer that took it by mistake, but of course I have to contact that person on my own. The unbelievable thing was that for privacy reason flixbus is not allowed to give me any contact or phone number of the same person to have my bag BACK. So how they suppose to recover a bag if they are not able to contact the other side and they cannot give me any information to find it on my own ??? The only thing that they suggested me to do was to fill in a form online and hope that the old lady from Grosseto that took my bag would be able and honest enough to contact them and rise the same issue.. I traveled other times with this company and I was really happy, but this time I'm really disappointed. This is an irresponsible and totally unprofessional way of working.

To avoid absolutely !!! Two buses delayed more than 2 hours, 2 days in a row on Paris Brussels. Refusal to repay up to 50% as required by law. HOW CAN THEY BE OUT OF THE LAW?

Took this bus to travel from Graz to Wien. Everything was ok starting from punctuality, the service on board (internet, WC, possibility to buy water on the bus) and the cleanliness of the autobus.
Really recommend Flixbus for this route.

I have been a user of the flixbus service for two years now. Using their bus between Ghent en London at an almost monthly basis.
I have to say that in recent times I have been incredibly disappointed with the service.
Firstly the ticket prices have gone up an extortionate amount. I used to be able to get a single ticket, being booked a month or so in advance for £15. Now the cheapest I tend to be able to find is £35 and if I am lucky £27.
Despite their rise in ticket prices the problems I seem to be experiencing with the company have also gone up. For example I was on a bus yesterday leaving at 9am from London meaning that I should arrive in Ghent by 3pm. We enden up being delayed at the border for around 6 hours. Due to malfunctions of the bus we also had to stop along the motorway countless times to cool down the overheated engine. This resulted in me arriving in Ghent at 12.00am. 9 hours later than what I had planned for.
Luckily for me I only needed to get to Ghent which is the first stop on a route that rides all the way to Cologne. There were people on that bus that still needed to get connecting routes which they had already missed by a long haul. At this point no one was able to contact customer services, I was held on the line for half an hour before I gave up considering my credit. Even the bus driver himself was trying to contact the Flixbus company considering all of the issues with the bus and could not get through to anyone.
We had a problem with the bus from the beginning. Our delays at the border were understandable at the very least, but having to continue in a malfunctioning bus with an overheated engine is really not ok. I would expect of a company to be much more proactive in organising a replacement bus at this point at the very least.
A few weeks ago I was taking a night bus from Ghent to London leaving at 1am. An hour into the journey we stopped at a small tank station where a huge group of people were waiting. It turned out that they had been left to wait at that tank station for over 6 hours in the poring rain. This was because of the fact that the bus had supposedly killed a person back in brussels, it was all very vague and most people didn't really understand what was happening. Understandably the bus and bus driver were seized by the police for further investigation. We only had 20 seats left on our bus so 20 were allowed on leaving the rest of the mass behind. Luckily for me our bus drivers on this occasion were superb and got us to London even an hour before intended. This doesn't however negate the fact that those people were left at a small tank station, with no seating, no inside shelter in the poring rain for over 6 hours with no information. When they contacted customer services they had heard nothing about what was going on. In this case an empty bus should have been sent out immediately to pick them up and let them continue on their journey or at the very least to a nearby hotel or train station so they could continue their route in another manner.
Like I said I have been a loyal customer of this company for a long time and on the whole always found it a decent service, I have come across many problems in the passed, being stuck in the tunnel for up to 6 hours, refugees at the border in Callais etc. causing all kinds of delays however In all of those cases I have always understood, there was nothing that could be done by the bus drivers or the company. When there was something that could be done it was done, for example I have had a new bus waiting for us at the other side of the border. If there were delays with the train or if we had missed our own one the bus driver would get us on the next available ferry leading to never more than a 3 or 4 hour delay.
It seems to me however since the change from Megabus to Flixbus the service has been gradually decreasing which is a great shame. I think at this point I will have to find another way to travel between London and Ghent.

I booked a ride wich departure hour was scheduled at 10:00.
Twenty minutes before the departure I received a message, they communicate a delay of 2hours and 25min but, at the end, the bus never arrived. Never happened to me before with other companies.
I had to buy another ticket for another ride with departure at 13:30, while the customer care agent was suggesting me to wait over and over, even if my bus (until I was there, until 13:30) never showed/arrived.
I waited in total 3hours and 30min. With no helpful support from customer care at all.
Before booking a ride with Flixbus think twice about it (If you don't arrive to your destination or you arrive with a lot of delay think about you can lose your flight, your hotel reservation, etc.)
Be aware from Flixbus.

We booked Flixbus tickets from Paris to Le Mont Saint Michel, but the trip was cancelled by Flixbus. We have got a corresponding sms received after more that 1.5 hours waiting the bus. Naturally we tried to claim a refund, but received a very original answer: "Once you decide to board the bus even after a delay and the transportation has taken place, i.e. the contract was fulfilled, refunding or compensation is not possible." And we are wondering now, how could we board a cancelled bus?.. Maybe Flixbus think that buying another tickets of another transport company means fulfilling their contract obligations, and in this case there is no better confirmation that it is better not to contact this company at all. But on the other hand, we hope that it was just a misunderstanding, and the company will make a refund. We are waiting for a competent answer from the representative of the company.

If you want to enjoy your trip, just choose another company!
About 3 (three!!) hours of delay on arrival, very late information about the delay (I received messages as delay was increasing from 30 minutes to 2 hours and a half, if I had known it from the beginning I could have searched for alternative transportation ways!)
They do no recognize any reimbursement or compensation for this huge delay.
And, finally, at the bus stop almost all buses arrived late... some people had been waiting for over 4 hours.
Just avoid it and you will not regret!

Top notch bus and amazing driver - very professional and great customer service. Internet working perfect also. Bus arrived well in advance and journey was quicker than expected. A most enjoyable journey.
