We had a family meal at The Stone trough in Rawdon this evening and we left rather disappointed. I felt sorry for the staff who had to explain the wait for food would be a minimum of 45 minutes and also had to explain that only John Smiths bitter and some lagers were available as at least 6 other real ales and beers were unavailable. Must be embarrassing for them. Anyway we had driven a fair way to get there so decided to wait. The sea bass which arrived an hour later was so overcooked it should never have left the kitchen. The side salad on my chicken and ribs dish was so hot it was cooked- quite unpleasant. The rump steaks were so difficult to eat- very sinewy-although they were cooked as requested. As we had waited such a long time for the food to arrive we ate what we could and left. Such a shame as we were all looking forward to our meal out.

We just got back from a team lunch at the Attimore in Welwyn Garden City. How they can get a steak and potato wrong is beyond me. A stone cold steak, not cooked as requested along with a semi-baked potato...actually the rest of the plate was also cold. No salt on the tables to add some flavour to a bland, overcooked slap of meat.

Been there on several occasions, it was becoming my regular. Friendly staff and up until now the food was, not necessarily the highest quality but acceptable.
Tonight 23.8.19 was quite different. We, two of us, ordered medium cooked Ribeye steaks. I now know where to bring my shoes for re-soling, yes you guessed it...LEATHER with streaks of grissle. My friend managed to swallow without chewing, he's an oink, I'm more fussy and left the majority of mine. Home cooking for a while me reckons.

I usually visit on Sundays for breakfast. Excellent every time.
It's Wednesday. A warm welcome and made to feel special. The Manager is very good. That's why I'm here again.
Ordered gammon and a pint with apple pie to finish. Can't wait as I know it will be good.
I can't fault the Brittania. Friendly, value for money, great tasting food and always made to feel welcome.
By the way... The food tonight was excellent as always. Large gammon steak with crispy chips, peas and a grilled tomato... Yum yum.
If you want to know how scrumptious my dessert was then I recommend you come try for yourself.

Thanks you to wait staff Max and Amy both very lovely and friendly.

Really stupid decision to remove the Halloumi and Chips, even the staff at the bar were gutted this option has been removed. I know I'll get the usual cut and paste reply that there are many other options but this sold Ember Inns for me, I'd go out of my way to have this. Now it has gone I might as well go to my local pub, I hate it when they remove popular dishes for no reason, I can only presume this is a money saving exercise.

The Burnt Post Coventry. ,
Used to be a really nice pub but gone downhill over last year or two.
Last night only two of the five cask ales available and one of them wasn’t in the best of condition leaving only lager, bottled beer or Brew11.
Outside only one of the four patio heaters working and patio furniture snags your clothes
Bar staff pleasant enough but seems to change weekly which tells a story.
Needs a lot of TLC to keep regulars I would suggest.

Had a baby shower at the brown Cow in leeds on the 22nd of June were we paid good money for a service that was diabolical from start to finish, when we got there at just before 130pm when it was about to start the room we had hired was in complete darkness no bar staff on the bar which we had paid for from 130pm so went downstairs to the main bar to see what was happening and was told they were short staffed and there was a festival at temple newsom and only had 2 staff on and also a baby shower booked??? So couldn't attend the bar at the baby shower until 2pm but when the bar staff eventually got up there after 2 was running between bars upstairs and down so no one was getting served and also had to get my partner to sort the music out behind the bar because the staff didn't know how to do it???, then the food came out didn't think it could get any worse but it did there was supposed to be a warm buffet and all we got was cold Yorkshire puddings and sausage on a clap cold gravy boat and sandwiches and dirty plates so when we complained about the plates been dirty was told that the dishwasher was broken and one of the staff walked off in a mood this is totally unacceptable to say the dishwasher is broken when they can be washed by hand, Then would you believe it we had five tables laid out for the guests and the one that my mum and my sister was sitting at collapsed and the drinks went all over then was told that the table should not have been put up and they was sorry and asked me who is pregnant by the way if I would like 2 bottles of prosseco as compensation and I laughed and said are you joking so she gave me a £30 gift voucher to spend at the ember inns. My partner then heard what had gone on and pulled the manager to say he wanted to make a complaint and said he couldn't do anything as he was leaving that evening so would have to make a complaint online which I did with no reply till a week after when my partner answered the phone and said I was in the shower so the manager would ring back in 20 mins, this never happened so left a message to get back to us a few days later still no reply 2 weeks later. Whoever runs this pub is an absolute joke and doesn't deserve to be in a roll of this size the pub is going down hill fast in my opinion I just hope someone from head office sees this review and does something about it as I am getting nowhere fast

My Local Ember in at Lawson Place, Moreton Hall, Bury st Edmunds is set in beautiful settings in front of a lovely duck pond with lots of garden tables and inside many tables to eat.
But, my first visit on a Sunday with my husband was marred by the dinners. My husband had about 5 slices of the Sunday roast meat. I had two.
Our second visit, my dinner must have been microwaved because the food was cold in the middle. I had to send it back to the kitchen to be reheated.
Our third visit today, I ordered the food and clearly stated I wanted a Prawn Cocktail as a starter. Up came breaded mushrooms. I queried this with the girl and she gave me a challenging look, with no apology and said this is what was ordered. I said, sorry, it wasn't. She walked off in a huff and I called her back and said that if didn't return to the table with the food, I would not pay. (I had forgotten I had paid already, empty threat) She then returned to the table with the same sulky face.
At the bar, I ordered a strawberry tonic water which the description and picture said, I would get strawberries and cucumber and ice. I was given the drink minus the strawberries and cucumber. I said I wanted the strawberries, please. The barman then asked me if I actually wanted them? I said "Yes, that is why I ordered it" A lovely drink on a hot day.
He then put them in the drink.
A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting let down by the staff and 3 times by the food. The management really do need to give their staff a pep talk.

Had a family meal at North Star, Worthing. Has deteriorated since we ate there some months ago. My dish came with a 'salad' i.e. a few tragic looking bits of shredded lettuce, a few tiny bits of tomato and a couple of cucumber curls. Really poor quality - looked like it was prepared hours before and left to dry out. We decided not to have desserts or coffee Staff were nice but don't think we'd eat there again.

Just been to the Apple Tree West bridgford spent £11.00 + for two drinks glass of wine and pint of Timothy Taylor. Wine okay but beer went off completely extremely flat one third down complained at bar had a half pint of Theakstone. Drank 2-3 sips and went flat again. Total disgrace!! Spening good money after bad drinks. Please do something about this pub as our local although we haven't been in for sometime now due to bad beer and inedible food. Putting profits over quality. This pub is below the Ember Inn standard. We have drank and eaten st other Ember Inns ie Solihull and these are much better quality. Please do something about this pub. !! Dissatisfied customer!!

Tried to book 1st Ember Inn they said they couldn't fit 12 people into their family area so suggested Queen's Head in Green Street Green, Orpington. 1st children's meal came out with two burnt burgers. One of the Pad Tai came out looking like a leftover portion. Medium steak was raw so didn't get eaten. One of us got forgotten so had to eat after everyone else in our party. Husband went up and paid. Then he went up again to pay again for puddings. As we were leaving he went to tip the waiter (Dylan who was very good) and was told you haven't paid enough so we want another £41.00 from you. The 1st bill for £105.00 wasn't even for our table!! Awful experience none of us would repeat.

They have rencently open an ember inn called the queens head on Maidstone road Rainham kent this was a very nice harvesters but changed to ember inns we thought we would go there for lunch today lovely in side went and order our food the condiments on the table were all empty the cutlery Wes not wrapped in any way there were so many flies about landing on the cutlery we had to go and wash it the poor girl behind the bar was taking in orders from the pub taking orders for food trying to clear tables and also bringing food to tables there should have been more staff when the food arrived I was appalled was suppose to be half a chicken well I’ve seen street pigeons with more flesh on them it’s was dry and shrivelled when I complained the poor girl rushed it back to the kitchen when another plate was brought out it was the same plate so all the chips were stone cold and the salad had dried out my partners food was either cold or in eatable truly disgusting
So do not eat at the kings head Maidstone road unless you have an iron stomach or you like cold food disgusting

1) The Gents toilets are in a disgusting state and have been for weeks. Urinals leaking, floor slippery, I covered in water (I hope)- an accident waiting to happen, panels off under the sinks as if work is in progress but it is clearly not and hand dryers not working.
2) Over zealous and rude door supervisors. As a regular customer (but not anymore) I have regularly witnessed prospective customers refused entry 15 minutes before the bar closes for no apparent reason, and non-threatening semi - retired customers being unreasonably harassed to drink up before the last bell has even rung!!
3) Food is hit and miss, ok taste and portions but non-consistent; only available when they feel like opening the kitchen.
At least Basil Fawlty was funny:- Come on Ember Inns please, have respect and dignity for your customers!!

Reordered and waited a further 30mins for everything to arrive

Offered free desserts to compensate but declined.
Overall...... Very disappointed, will not be spending any more money here.

Visited my local Ember Inn, Three Craws, Crow Rd, Glasgow, Scotland on a Sunday night, (after 6pm) for a quick bite to eat. (it is positioned between a closed car showroom and a deserted builders merchants and nearly every other business nearby is closed on a Sunday. Very deserted.
As a disabled blue badge holder I parked in a disabled bay at the front door then went to help my elderly 88 year old parent to get out of the car (she has leukeamia and severe heart failure). After a bit of a struggle and a lot of pain, we got inside and ordered a bite to eat (I actually mentioned to the server how quiet it was that night - now I know why). We left after about an hour as mum was feeling unwell.
I received a parking notice through the post for £85 for parking in The Three Craws car park. I only parked in their establishment to buy a meal from them on a Sunday night! I couldnt believe it and seriously just thought it was a scam.
I live in Scotland, no businesses are opened nearby except a petrol station, I was parked in a disabled bay and I am a regular customer, the staff know my mum and myself very well. I have visited this company since it opened many years ago and spend hundreds of pounds a year there.
No parking fees have EVER been charged at night or on a Sunday and no one in the restaurant mentioned any changes to parking signage (there has always been signs up in the car park saying no fees after a certain time and no fees on a Sunday).
To make it worse according to this private parking notice it seems you have to" Pay by Phone". I have no idea how to "Pay by Phone" and as a physically disabled female I wouldnt want to be in a dark car park, in winter, in Scotland (it gets dark at 4 pm) trying to balance using a walking stick in one hand, trying to open my bag with the other, take out my phone and dont ask me how I would access my bank card details as I only have 2 hands! Talk about being placed in a vulnerable situation!
Whoever thought this practice was a good idea needs to quickly look up disability discrimination. Not everyone can or is able to pay by phone and the disabled should certainly not be placed in a potentially vulnerable/dangerous situation in a dark car park, then penalised/threatened with a Debt Collection company by an Ember Inns agent, Euro Car Parks, for using an Ember Inn car park to spend many hundreds of pounds a year in Ember Inn establishments.
I certainly would not recommend Ember Inns after being treated so disgracefully. I hope by raising this issue Ember Inns will be made aware of how badly some of their regular customers are being treated. Customers who believed they were parking according the rules which had been in place for a long time (which they had not been informed had changed) are now being threatened because of Ember Inns agent.
Many customers who visit The Three Craws are locals and there are very many other establishments where they will not be charged to park and eat.
Charging on a Sunday or evening for parking in Scotland at such a quiet spot at The Three Craws is a very poor business decision.
No one needs this aggravation, believe me! I am still trying to fix this and look after my ill mother. Shocking.
My recommendation. Eat somewhere that causes less stress.

Visited the Dog Hagley Rd west on the 13th January to celebrate my grand-daughters 16th birthday. We precooked a private area and pre ordered our food 4 days before. What a shambles, it was not organised at all, 5 starters were not available and they miss we were offered an alternative but they did try to charge us for them!!! They miss calculated how many meals there were even though we had ordered days before. The missing meals came 30 minutes after everyone else so they eat on there own because everyone else had finished. We cleared our own tables because they took so long, it totally ruined my grand-daughters special birthday.

Very busy in the pub - White Lion in Westbury on Trym, tonight but didn't expect to wait over 40minutes for a hot chocolate! Waited for a guninness to be poured and told would be a little wait for the hot choc! Definition of 'little; please Ember Inns?!
Finished the guinness and waited and waited, gave up and went home. If only I could give you No Stars!!!
