Typically an ISP would wait a bit before screwing you over. Eastlink skipped the waiting period and started off the relationship right away doing that. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. I was lied to on 4 different occasions before the install even happened which was delayed with no date in site. I gave up and cancelled my account. Worst service I have had in years. Don't waste you time with this company.

Their service is Shawty. One minute I'm getting a download speed of 2.5 megabytes next minute I get my proper download speed of 150 megabytes this bounces around continuously. Every time they've been contacted they claim there is nothing wrong with my service it must be my equipment that's right every piece of equipment in my house is wrong they are right. This company really needs to fix their issues. It's awful funny that my internet worked perfectly until I decided I didn't want their TV channels anymore. Now since I only have internet I have had nothing but issues. I think it's time to give up on the high high speed and go with DSL at least I've been hearing good things about providers of this service. I like the high speeds of cable but if this company is not going to deliver I'm not going to pay

To get student rate you have to cancel your account and open a new account in your kids name. Then they cancel your email account without telling you. It will take 2-3 business days before you can call back to get you email account setup. Terrible customer service.

I did order iPhone 11 pro sep 15 th on line ..
next day they cal me they said the order Conform and I receive by email conformation. Number as well and they said go the store pick up 2019 sep 23 then I went there the store guy said nothing on under my name then I show my conformation email they said we don’t have any thing here give them cal so I did cal they said u iPhone 11 order belied one week so u can get 2019 sep 23 same store so I go there the store said same thing agin then I cal them the Eastlink said we can’t provide you order right now the we have issues with apple supplies.. so u have wait for then I ask how long They don’t want tel how long be talk. Thing is they cannot provide the order they why they promise you Customer ? I telling the bell or other cell phone companies Never do like this what they did to me it’s Sucks

iPhone 11 order delay like hell!
I ordered a new iPhone 11 for my wife from Eastlink about 2 weeks ago, but I have been telling from eastlink CS and the store again and again that my iPhone 11 is being delay by Apple. Eastlink did not even give me the exact available date. Frustrated.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would in a heart beat. This company has to be the worst provider out there! The customer service is the worst I have even seen from any company I have ever delt with. They give you a run around and have to make multiple calls and request a tech to come out to your home 3+ times for the same problem. You have to take the full day off just to accommodate them for a continued lack of negligence. They have lied and made false promise on more that one occasion. If you have another option in your area then let me make it easy for you! Stay away and don’t waste your time!!!!

The services seem to be great 5 star for that. The reason why i have rated 3 star is because when they installed my services they had to ask me to borrow a ladder and extension cord i thought it was odd that they were not prepaired for this. They also left a big mess of saw dust in my basement without cleaning it up, they also took my HDMI cord that came with the Cable box. they just unplugged my PS4 cord and used that now i am short an HDMI. They also asked me where i wanted the modem to go they reccommended to put in in the basement oppose to my T.V stand because of all the flashing light's so i said yes downstairs will be the best spot for it, so they finish and show me how to use the cable feature. I noticed they put the Modem right beside my T.V on the top shelf. Why was i not informed of this prior to this being set up? They did the opposite of what i requested.
Its been almost 2 weeks and i still have a 100 foot+ wire on my front lawn that they still have not burried its crazy they flat out lied to me saying it would be done in the following 2 days.
The problems here are not ok for them to do they never asked to keep the HDMI now i have to switch cords when i want to play PS4 and watch T.V its so annoying. I am most likely just going to do the job for them and run my wire through trees myself which is sadnthat i have to clean up after these guys. Oh and another issue i had we just build this home its BRAND NEW so they feel it was ok to walk on my hardwood floors with work boot's on so disrespectful.

Eastlink is by far the worst company to be with, not only is there internet way too expensive, it's extremely slow. We pay 115$ for just wifi and although we pay it for some reason every month it accumulates more and we have no idea why its like there is always some random extra charge??? They dont even work with you when you want to give them money they just want to suspend it with no warning at all & when we called we got a rude representative. We switched to a different company that's half the price! & they said it will be that price every month no matter what :)

I just wanted to see if it wasn't for government toll roads' privatisation, HOW these people (apparently, Eastlink's employees) would find employment... A business designed to rip off people, a structure enabled to delay any prompt payments (even direct debits occur unlawfully in people's bank accounts) and/or to further tolls' charges... customer service is something JUST to be used in writing and onto their website for everyone to read and see, however, has no effective translation nor application within their phone line and "agents" (apparently, held as employees..)
Unfortunately, they are around due to Government and not due to the service they provide, which is close to none, excepting when you struggle with their website to pay for tolls...

I order a modem only to wait from 12 to 5 pm and get a free security camera, the security cam came, but eastlink messed up my order, so I had wait one more week to have it installed which is today. and no apoligises was made. I can't get another company of which they know this, and it ticks me off. we are so behind on Pei. so expensive eastlink!!!

False speed claims, over-priced, poor customer service, and VERY frequent service outages. Granted the outages tend not to last very long (5 minutes or so), but you'll be hard pressed to use any streaming service with this kind of intermittent connection. You are better off getting another cell phone plan, and use it for your home.

I have been a customer for 10 years at a Rip off rate of $100/month for just internet. Missed one month by mistake they cut service, the phone representative was very rude and almost eager to have me cancel service..I obliged. Will be a Bell customer for the rest of my life and will never recommend Eastlink to anyone.

I went into Eastlink in New Minas a few times in the past few weeks. The customer service left a lot to be desired. Twice I was served by the same agent who evidently was either lacking in training or simply not a good match for the type of job that requires patient customer service. The first time I was trying to hierarchy billing for my two daughters as they are 25 and 23 and ready to take on their own bills. It took me a month and return trips because of the lack of service. The second time I added a phone to my contract. Unfortunately, when setting up the phone I inadvertently locked myself out. I returned for some support in figuring out how to rectify the problem as I had only purchased the phone the day before. The young lady working was very short and non-compassionate, basically telling me that it was not her issue, it was Samsungs. I had to plead with her to allow me to phone Samsung to seek a solution as my phone was not working. That's why I was there. Her response was that we don't allow personal calls. I assured her this was not a personal call. I was very disappointed with the level of service and the abrupt and inappropriate service. If this were the first experience with this young lady, I would ignore it, but twice this month. Eastlink appears to have a customer service issue!

Edit- it was promptly resolved by the company. I appreciate that and it is not easy working for someone and I guess the holidays got the best of them. Just really gotta get that explaining thing down to avoid this whole thing. I give 4 stars as contrary to my review because, being real the service has been just fine- this was the first time the disconnection happened. And I think this will help the representative have a bit less stress.
Service has been fine. Internet got messed up for days. Worked for few minutes and didn’t work for most of the time. That’s completely fine honestly sure it’s inconvenient but as long as it’s fixed- and I was actually very attentive with what they were saying, I chatted them up wanting to figure out what i can do not to blame them.
Issue with them is what happened after- that they said they had a “time frame” of 12-5 to fix. I work at 3 so I said I’m only free 12-3 if they can come between then it’s great otherwise Wednesday is okay but not optimal. I made a fair point. Also said I better work in order to pay Eastlink- lol I keep saying I prefer Tues but then they just completely ignore and book me on Wednesday(sick of this ‘I’m being patient with you’ attitude ) because .. what? Does it take 5 hours to upgrade a modem? Do they have someone else booked? If they did I’m fine and even if those ‘are’ all the cases they just kept failing at explaining why it has to be a 5 hour “time frame”, if the job itself takes that many hours I’ll be fine with that, I requested an explanation because they were sounding stoic about it for no reason, many times back and forth and never got a clear why. Slash forcing a 5 hour time frame for someone who lives alone and works without a reason, is horrid. If with reason fine. I’m lucky I’m free this particular day but if any other day I would’ve not gotten an upgrade? Terrible communication of one of the representatives. Other person was much more helpful. I didn’t even know about their bad reputation until I actually wrote the review and then afterwards searched up out of curiosity. I work as well as we all do, and even on my worst possible personal day I don’t give this bad service.

Booked an appt for new install two weeks ago. Supposed to arrive sometime between 8:30 & 12:00 (yeah right ..... where have you heard that one before). Single guy and had to take time off work (cost me $175) and sit in an empty house for four hours waiting for a tech who was NEVER going to arrive. Received a call at 11:45 stating that my scheduled tech had a "family emergency" and would not be arriving to my location and that I must contact customer service to re-schedule.
We're so sorry, we understand your frustration ......... blah, blah, blah. Next available install two more weeks away. Maybe the tech will show up in two weeks .... then again, maybe they won't.
These folks evidently wrote the book on customer service. No wonder their rating is about as low as it can get.

Absolutely disappointing service. Apparently their whole system has become automated as of this June and now there is no point calling customer service because they are useless and have no authority to do anything. My service was automatically shut off due to "missed payment" (which is not accurate, a payment was made) and even after sending them more money, they can't do anything. If there were another internet service provider in my area, I would switch to them in a heartbeat. They don't care to do better because they know people don't have an alternative option.

I wouldn't even put 1 star if i could avoid it.
We sold a car, have proof, took out the beep machine didn't click to change it on our account (Vic roads knows its gone) yet someone else driving it racked up bills and according to their policy its on us, and its bad luck. Not a sorry, not a we will remove process imaging fees nothing! Just pay or your suspended??? We have always done right by you, and you cant help us out when we email hard proof the car doesn't belong to us!!! Its in your policy... doesn't mean you cant be compassionate!!!

Service can go out at times, but their customer service is A LOT better than Bell (with Bell I would get sent to agents who I swear were psychopaths). I will gladly pay more for a service that actually treats their customers like human beings.
