I used this website twice last year to buy flight tickets from Canada to Asia. Super affordable price with with great customer service. Can't wait for the pandemic to be over and travel again with cheapoair

Because of the cancellation of the airplane tickets from Air Canada, I got the credits (can only be used for Air Canada within 2 years. No cash refund, be careful!). I have been contacted to CheapOair about converting my credits to vouchers since November 2021 (Now is in December). I want to have the vouchers instead of credits because it has no expired dates. The specialists from CheapOair always told me to contact Air Canada and the agents in Air Canada told me I have to let the specialists of CheapOair to file a form to apply for it. I cannot do it by myself because it needs the agency ID. The agents from Air Canada even told me "tell the specialists of CheapOair to visit our website and on the bottom of the webpage, there is an section for "travel agents," click it and fill the form".
These got back and forth more than 8 phone calls and spent my 5 hours including waiting time and I still don't know if they can solve this problem for me.
I am so tired of this loop.

I scheduled a flight from ATL to LAX months in advance with the plans to celebrate my first Norns 18th birthday and his HS graduation on March 17 2020. I rescheduled the flight to November of 2020 due to a virus that had hit and thought we would postpone the celebration. By October 2020 I was ready to scrap the whole trip and try another time. I was fully refunded by Disney, Universal,American Airlines and 2 different hotels- but CHEAPOAIR kept their fees that I never took advantage of. Service fee of 54.00, Traveler assist fee of 44.85 and insurance fee of 89.85 ( the insurance did not cover covid unless you were invested at the time of your flight) I was graciously refunded the automated checkin fee of 11.85. It is certainly true that you get what you pay for.

Worst company ever! I bought a ticket and a few hours later I had to cancel due the date I choose and they charged me my money, in bought airplane tickets in another sites and they never charged me if I cancel the same day!! I won’t never ever use this page again and off course won’t never recommend to anyone to use it

After receiving email that the airline has cancelled my flight, I decided to reach Cheapoair, they decided not to get in touch after seeing my booking number.
Besides taking lump sum of money from me everytime I changed my ticket dates, reaching them when there is a problem is like reaching a dead person in the grave.
I will never book with them and please never book with them.
Update: well, I finally reached through their online chat. They also confirmed a refund since the airline's policy allows a refund. I'm now waiting for my refund to my credit card.

This is my first time to book a flight with CheapOAir so i can’t give a thorough review. I had a good experience with the customer service agent for the flight rescheduled for our granddaughter. She attended to my need. It is still better i believe to book directly from the airline company.

I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone for the last 6 months. I’m completely speechless. I had a 10 day trip to Amsterdam April 4th. I booked my trip December 31st before the damn pandemic. And immediately canceled and requested my full refund when I knew it was going to be a global thing. My refund has been in process for the 4 last months. Completely UNACCEPTABLE! Currently in the process for a class action lawsuit. Pathetic pathetic pathetic

Finally got our refund (in USD so we still had to write off 55€ per person due to cheaper USD), but from a chargeback made by my credit card issuer, and not from Cheapoair.
Customer service has no more mandate than telling you what you see on your personal page (which displays incorrect information BTW), and the airline has its hands tied as we didn't book with them directly. Cheapoair just tell you to wait (for 4 months).
Initially they said the ticket was not refundable and tried to push vouchers down our throats (although the airline's website clearly stated tickets cancelled due to COVID are all refundable).
'Service fee' (Cheapoair's margin) was not refundable although the flight was cancelled by the airline.
Please people, pay yourself the small price difference, save yourself the frustration and do not book with these scammers.

If I could give no stars I would! I booked a flight and hotel through CheapOair for a mother/daughter trip to New York. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip due to COVID. I was able to get a refund for our flight, but have not received any refund for the hotel stay—just a charge for cancelling! I have sent several emails inquiring about the status of this refund with no reply. I did receive a phone call at a time when I was working and couldn’t answer. A voice message was left that said I could call them back. I was hoping to have a new number with more direct access, but no, the number they gave was the customer service number that has wait times of longer than an hour. I know this because after waiting on hold for over an hour I was disconnected! Refunds for travel during the COVID pandemic should be automatic. No one should have to wait to be refunded for a trip they could not take due to COVID. This was a trip that my daughter and I saved up for and to see a large portion not returned is devastating and just wrong. Shame on you CheapOair for taking advantage of people during this time!
Update—I was contacted and I replied with the necessary information, however, nothing has happened. No one has tried to contact me and I have not received my refund.

Extremely bad customer service - if you require any assistance you can literally not get a hold of anybody. If you do - you won't really get help either.
Examples:
- spent 1.5 hours on the phone only to be put on an indefinite hold - then receiving an email that they tried to contact me (I never received a call back)
- at the same time I waited for 2 hours to get in touch via their online chat function - went from 75th spot in the queue to 40 in those 2 hours....

I messed up my reservation when I booked it online and when I called customer service they helped fix it for me and were very pleasant and efficient about it all. I did pay an additional $50 but it was worth it

Due to COVID19, we had to cancel our international flight. I was under the impression that I had purchased trip insurance, so it should have been no big deal. However, they told me I didn't buy insurance, but I bought a 24hour cancelation policy (which is actually a law that you are able to cancel your flight within 24 hours of purchase). This is BS because I remember when I was deciding whether or not to purchase it, how many times the customer rep told me that there is no reason not to buy the "insurance" since I could cancel it up to 24 hours BEFORE my flight. I even put it immediately in my calendar to canel that insurance.
Anyhow, the insurance is no good and they charged me a cancelation fee AND gave me no a refund, but a voucher to use within a year of purchase. This sucks because its for a specific airline (not US airline) through their company and a ton of money that I'll be forced to spend in about 7 months from now. And we all go to this airline for affordable flights, and now I'll be stuck with whatever the cost is just to fly on that airline through cheapoair. Anyhow, don't buy through them, they try to upsell you on everything. And if you buy extra packages, make sure you have everything that is covered in a detailed email, because they skirt the truth to get you to buy.

My representative was truly patient and professional...he was able to
provide calming communication to reduce my anxiety about changing
my travel dates due to the Montana lock down rules of remaining in
the state for a minimum of 14 days once a traveler arrived...my return
was for 6 days after arrival. No hassle and lots of support.

I’m writing this review during this whole corona virus outbreak in which they have shut down almost all businesses, shut down flights abroad, and soon will probably shut down everything else. Well we were planning on going to Florida but the festival/concert we were going to got canceled, beaches are closed, restaurants & bars are closed, etc. I decided to call the airlines to get a refund on tickets We Have ”Insurance” on. Waited on a chat for over 12 HOURS (I’m not joking) and finally after making human contact the guy told me to call a number (that was disconnected) or to text “whatsapp” lol and speak to someone on there? (Which is unprofessional & didn’t get a response). Eventually I was able to contact someone and they said they do not wish to give us a refund even though we had insurance and gave them multiple valid reasons we no longer can go. After speaking to a friend who was in a similar situation, she received a refund from her airline company with no questions asked and she didn’t even purchase the insurance. Well when all of this is over and we start traveling again I will know to NEVER book through cheapoair or spirit again. I will continue to share my experience as well. Shows how much they care about their customers especially during a time like this.

I booked flights to Miami, in February hoping to go on a cruise from there. They canceled my cruise on Friday, Mar. 13 and band cruising for 30 days due to the COV19. I’ve call 845-848-0253 get hung up on. Then I called 845-848-0200 suggested on their site to cancel booking and you cannot get through. This a national crisis and I can’t cancel my booking # 66866536 “frontier airlines”. I call them and they said because I book through Cheapoair I have to speak to them. This is unacceptable, unprofessional. Cancel my booking 66866536 immediately, To add insult injury I purchased insurance for the flight. I will NEVER use your company again. As consumers the President of the United States did this. Cancel my booking. Your company is a scam,

We booked through them because we heard great things about their customer service. We could not have had a worse experience. First, our inbound leg was cancelled by the airline (air canada) with no explanation (not Cheapo's fault) and we called to get it fixed. It has been an absolute nightmare! I have been on hold for hours at a time and each time they say, "wait longer. We'll call you back." But they never do. I have to call again and wait on hold. For hours. Then we were told by an agent that we should call the airline to fix it. Why did i book through an agent if im calling myself to fix a problem that the airline won't talk to me about?
Now our departure date is fast approaching with no resolution. Save yourself the aggravation and book through the airlines directly. At least they will try to help.
