Horrible customer service. Been with them for 2 years. I pay my bills on time and have a great credit score. Being treated like a criminal with their fraud division. I can't use the card, had to send in a copy of my driver's license. I still can't use my card. I will be moving to a better company. Stay away!

I would like to say that Capital one is inconsiderate with customers that pay their balance in full and are trying to rebuild their credit. They had an awesome customer Service about a year or two ago, but now they hire agents that only love to transfer you and have no clue on how to resolve simple account inquiries. I spoke with a so called senior agent who had the skill level of a first time low level call center. Shame on you Capital One for hiring these unskilled agents and restricting accounts that are paid in full for customers that are trying to rebuild their scores. Credit Wise sucks by the way!

I logged into my 360 account and realized Immediately the summary page, where you can see all you accounts is no longer online. It was up till yesterday under “account services & settings”.
That means that if you have multiple 360 accounts, it is impossible to see the total dollar amount of all you accounts, unless you now want to add up manually all the amountS in the blue boxes. Also, the blue box is NOT showing the pending dollar amount, because that function was also removed by “the wonderful” update done yesterday. The prior summary, removed, was showing total deposited and total cleared, available.
I called customer service and spoke to a supervisor. Yes, there was an update of the system yesterday. Nothing added, “summary” option was removed. This is an improvement? Also funds pending settlement are NOT showing funds clearing date under activity.
Thank you for the fabulous “ updates” capitalone! The person who made this decisions is clueless, totally out of touch with customers as far as what their needs are and he or she should be fired.

We maintain a Capital One "interest online checking account" so we can move money into it for overseas trips since CapOne doesn't charge fees as other banks do for ATM withdrawals overseas. Unfortunately, other than this positive feature, we cannot say enough negative about this bank. We have used many banks to do transfers, and hands down, CapOne takes the most time to show an incoming transfer as "available". It is extremely frustrating how long they hold incoming money from other banks before making it available to us. Again, this is a recurrent problem and one we have not experienced with ANY OTHER BANKS we deal with online. If they would markedly improve this aspect, we would rate them highly.

I had decent credit and was trying to build more credit, now after applying for a platinum card and getting approved my credit score dropped 75+ points in one month. No thanks, I already have a bad bad feeling about this company and that confirmed it. I didn't even need this card is the frustrating part and now my credit is back down in the dumps again. Thanks Capital One you shady piece of trash, never again! Ever again!

Called te close the account and they said they will refund the money by cheque in 5 working days,called them again regarding same issue and they came up with different story which they will take 5-6 weeks to refund the money by cheque.don't think it will be done as they are the most useless credit card ever

I initially started with the Platinum card and was very happy with it. Then I was approved for the Quicksilver card. After only a year with the Platinum card I was given a line of credit increase. I recently was approved by their auto financial and now have a new car. That experience alone was the BEST I have ever had. My credit was literally beyond bad and thanks to Capital One I am on the right track and my credit score keeps going up. I LOVE this company and HIGHLY recommend them, I would give them the highest rating for customer service and reliability. 👍👍👍

This company is terrible. I was buying a Christmas present across the street from my house and the card was declined for security, for a $70 charge. I had to use a different card. ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ADDRESS I HAVE ON FILE AT A MAJOR RETAILER. Then the agent hung up on me for being upset about the incident. I cancelled the account immediately and will never use this company again. The agent tried to manage my "feelings" rather than solving the problem, typical lousy customer service.

I normally payup my bill on time cause never for once have I not paid up early or have I missed a payment, suddenly I fell sick and I couldn’t go to work no longer, fell back on my credit bill and have been in contact with my creditor to help give me time to settle off my outstanding bill and I’m thankful I saw reviews about Edwinconsult debt settlement agency, they completely settled off my credit bill before 24hours after I contacted them for support... their services are way more advanced regarding credit debt settlement...

CRIMINALS ~ The worst I advise anyone who needs a credit card to stay away from this one. The CEOs should get what they deserve. The government will do a full investigation they will have to answer and hopefully pay back all the people they have robbed . They make there interest rates and fees so high it’s ridiculous. They know people are desperate and in need so they take advantage of people who they know have no money which keeps them down and in life time debtors. I paid off most of the card I closed my account and will take a video of me burning this card let’s hope the entire institution burns. The CEOs that sleep comfortable while there card holders suffer people who can’t pay there bills because they have to pay these pigs. Ohhh how I wait for the day where I see the top holder of this company dragged into a federal prison

Paid off my account I mean absolutely everything nearly 5 months ago. Thought I was in the clear but nearly 5 months later out of the blue I get a bill for $300. It didn't say what it was for no information at all. Call them up and they say it was for keeping my account open. Well when I paid it off didn't know I needed to cancel it not to be charged. That was never disclosed. Call them up and after dealing with their bull they finally wave the $300. Oh and I made sure to cancel the account. NEVER AGAIN! Capital One is beyond greedy, predatory, underhanded, and just plain evil. Do not trust them, do not do business with them! Run far far away! One star is far too generous. Contacted the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission so now they know. Got employee #'s too. If you still have Capital One watch them like a hawk. If you're thinking about going with them think again! I cannot say enough negative things about these (insert choice word)

After their cyber attack my bank account was breached twice! I had to change my account twice and it threw off my automatic payment because of their lousy app. When you change your account you have to reset your automatic payment. However it doesn't prompt you to do so. I had it set up for almost two years and they expected me to remember to do that. That is unrealistic. Capital One pushes the use of the app they should make more user friendly. I'm in perfect standing; never late until the hacks on my account. Even then it wasn't over 7 days. I've never come close to maxing out my card and they were unwilling to wave the late fee because they waved the late fees for the other hacking issues. I will not be using this card unless it's an emergency.

Capita one , speaking on my personal matter ,dealing with a company called corachic ,capital one customer service was horrible ,dealing with this company called corachic ,which is a scam company on line. Let me say it was the first two customer service rep that were straight up horrible ,one called Austin and the other called Julie ,and yes I'm putting their name out their! No help what so ever .They told me that they couldn't stop a payment I had made to a scam company called corachic . A customer rep name Andrew did a wonderful job this evening , and assured me that my money would be refunded back to my card and no one gets away scamming their customers. I had to get a new card though , cause they have my info on the old card. Thanks to Andrew I"m very grateful on how he took care of this matter for me .( That's why I'm giving 5 stars , just for Mr Andrew who represents capital one with class ) Thanks for reading. Btw I've never had a problem with capital one ,until I talk to those horrible reps I mention earlier . Thanks again for reading.

The cafe and ambassadors are excellent, I love coming to this place. However, Capital One's banking products are a different story, specifically the Spark Business products. The interest rate looks great, but these accounts are not your typical business accounts. They are very clunky, lack your typical business account features, and good luck getting anything timely done - it's not happening. I've attempted to send wires 3 times at different times now and each and everyone, like clockwork, hasn't been done successfully. Just got off the phone with their team and spoke with them last night and received comments such as "go ahead and transfer your account" and "you don't understand our process, we don't care about your needs". My warning to business owners - steer clear - the interest isn't worth the headache you'll get dealing with this company.

This is the absolute worst from my experience company to get a credit card I called customer service to voice a problem from a mistake that they made on my account and while I was voicing my problem I hear the agent holding a conversation and laughing with a colleague not to mention several errors that they made on my account and apologize for they extended me a $1000 limit and I applied for another company and got a $8000 limit which I immediately closed my account with capital one because I had a 0 balance as not to effect my credit score.

Absolute jokers!!!!!! My partner paid his account off and had a letter today to say he owes more money because he apparently missed a minimum payment. Now he owes over £200 from November because of interest. Absolute joke!!

I cannot say enough good things about Capital One! I am rebuilding my credit and I started out with the Capital One Platinum MasterCard and was then approved for the Quicksilver card about 6 months later. I pay off my balance every month and my credit score is only getting better. I had an issue with fraud on 1 card once & Capital One was extremely helpful in blocking the fraudster and refunding all of the money. I don’t know what is happening with the other people who wrote negative reviews, but in my experience, Capital One has been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely shocking. My partner complained about a number of cash withdrawals that were spotted on the account and had not been authorised. We promptly received a 'refund' of these, only for this to be clawed back shortly thereafter and told that the correct card/PIN was used (which made sense, as we could not locate the card when we called them).
Anyway. we complained and were royally fobbed off, no real investigation took place, they just hid behind the correct PIN being used. We paid the balance owed (including the cash advance fees that get charged, of course) and took our complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
18 months later, our complaint is upheld and are notified by Capital One that we will be refunded the value of the cash taken (not the fees though) from the account. Errr... no! The cash advance fees (all four of them) that we have had to pay also need to be repaid! So, back to the Ombudsman we go.
The thing I don't understand is this; we obviously will get the cash advance fees refunded in the end, particularly as the Ombudsman has already found in our favour with this complaint. It's also a relatively small amount of money, but that is entirely beside the point - it's about principle and it's about good service.
Personally, I think Capital One are just being like petty teenagers, which isn't the best business model really.
I could not recommend this company to anybody in good faith. Barclaycard have been nothing but good over the years, same with American Express, even John Lewis Finance and NewDay - consider one of them instead.
