WOW! tried to purchase an aftermarket vent fan. Price online was $51.00, price in store was $78.00. I asked if they priced matched, and they stated they would. When I got to the register, it became very clear that the online price was with a Good Sam membership (which i do not need or want). The store manager actually argued with me that I had to have the membership to purchase at the online price. So, I left! Came home and went to purchase the same product online and was never forced to purchase the Good Sam membership and the price did not change. Either way, I am not purchasing it online or instore! Camping World- you have lost a customer for life and I hope this reverberates to others that wish to buy at your stores. Please go online or to another supplier.

Ordered a fridge on Dec 13 (friday). Credit card was charged the same day ($1550), and got an email saying they would update me on shipping times. Tuesday, no email. i phoned. Because the shipping address and the billing address are different, a hold was placed on shipping. No notice to me, just no shipping. If i hadn't phoned, how long would i wait. Now i'm stuck waiting until next week (and paying overnight $$$ for the park for the extended stay) for my fridge. i told them i would drive into San Bernardino and pick one up (they had stock there), was told that i would not get the online price if i did that. Well, i might as well, as the online saving is not as much as the extra costs for staying in the park. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD ONLINE AND WILL NEVER EVER BUY THERE AGAIN! As a matter of fact, i will not buy at their stores either, if i can get it ANYWHERE else.

My husband and I bought a coleman toy hauler back in April of 2019. We have only got to use it 3 times ,it has been in the shop more then we have got to use it . The water heater hasnt worked properly since we bought it , they finally fixed the water heater "AFAULTY GAS VAVLE" seriously could have been dangerous ,the staple in the ceiling panels are rusting, the door frames are coming off, the paneling on the walls are coming apart at the seams , the siding outside it buckled on the drivers side. And we think the frame is bent or something, the stabilizer jack on the passenger side collapsed on him while he was cranking it down and it has slipped to the same side everytime we have used it ..I will NEVER RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD NOR THEIR PRODUCTS (COLEMAN) . They have had our RV since late October and it still is not fixed . We went to pick it up last week and had to leave it again !this has happened several times and I'm just tired of it ! Marcus! We are still not happy campers ! Betty and Eric M.

This is the worst dealer you could visit to purchase an RV. Both locations are horrible, Houston and New Braunfels. We purchased an RV in 2019 in cash. While driving the RV the spare fell out from under the RV because it was not secured properly. The vehicle was not a month old so it was under warranty. We reached out to the Houston location and was told since we live in Austin there was a camping World near us. We drove there with the RV and it was the worst execution ever. The service person we were assigned made every attempt to discourage us from leaving it there. Saying the manufacturer was bankrupt and they were not. The service person even told us out right that there were things they were not going to fix and that we needed to take it back to the dealership we purchased it from in Houston. After a few moments we decided to leave the vehicle there and I was sometime in possibly the early to late November right before the Christmas holidays. We are now in the month of January 2020 and we still do not have the new vehicle that we paid for. We have reached out to the manufacturer and they are not in fact bankrupt. They explain the process of their warranty and how it works and that they could very well send the parts to the dealer to repair the vehicle. I have called both locations in Houston and new Braunfels where the vehicle is kept or being repaired. Neither of these locations is of any help they are dragging their feet as if they have Not a care in the world. I would be very wary to purchase any type of recreational vehicle or trailer from either one of these locations because neither one of them are up to snuff for us up to par with their customer service and anything that they offer. I have attempted to reach out to the location managers as well as reached out to the corporate office and each person attempts to tell me how they can't change with someone else has done but they don't mention how they will go ahead and get the problem solved as quickly as they possibly can. Having pay cash for recreational vehicle that you have yet to actually drive anywhere is pretty bad. So for those of you considering camping world you may want to check out their reviews because they are very bad including my review and they also have a ton of better business reports a ton of them over the last three years. So by your beware.

We purchased our 2018 Dutchmen Atlas 3132ml one year ago in Mesa AZ from Camping World. We immediately had problems, furnace, awning, loose screws everywhere in and out. We returned to Camping World approximately 6 months later in Roscoe Illinois with fifteen complaints for warranty. A major leak at the fantastic fan, inoperable furnace, and an incorrectly installed awning which wobbled as it was extended or retracted. Camping World did repair the leak by completely resealing with Dicor the ENTIRE roof. The furnace was not fixed. And not only did they do nothing to repair the awning wobble they managed to put two holes in the material. Two holes and two dents all on top of each other when retracted, obviously the dropped or leaned something against the awning. Trailer came back to us us after three months with a broken window and mice. The story was much more involved these are the highlights. Most disturbing was zero communication with us. No returned phone calls ever. They never reached out to us at all in the first month and we had to make a one hundred miles round trip to get any answers. Five trips for updates and to retrieve our trailer (and Five hundred miles) we finally got our trailer back. An entire summer wasted. Needless to say we will never do business with Camping World again and we strongly recommend to everyone NEVER ALLOW CAMPING WORLD TO SERVICE OR WARRANTY YOUR RV

When I purchased our RV everything was wonderful with the salesperson, everything else is what earns the 1 star. We wanted to have automatic lifts installed and he gladly added to the work order. We said we were taking a trip in 6 weeks and could the lifts be installed by then - he said should be no problem. That's basically the end of the good experience.
Starting with the walkthrough - they don't tell you this - but you're charged $100 for someone to walk around your RV with you and give an "orientation". For $100 I would have expected him to be better prepared as he kept "finding things" he wasn't sure about. Then, I asked about inputs on the mounted television. He pulled it down to look and could not get it back into place. Eventually, while we're in the finance office, he comes in and tells us he couldn't get it hung properly, said he's sorry, and didn't recommend driving much with it hung the way he did it. No offer to fix it! When we returned to the motor home the television was extremely loose.
Next, the finance guy got hold of us. He was very personable, it was a pleasant experience, until the warranty time came and then it turned into high pressure with a lot of question side stepping. I kept asking for the total price of each warranty and all he would say is, "I get you a great price for this one because you get discounts", after three attempts to get the different in price I give up and decide to ask more in depth about the coverage. I present a VERY specific scenario that we experienced before - our water heater was out when we were at a horse show. He said someone would be sent out to try to repair on the spot. Now my interest was piqued as that IS a great service. I reiterated, "so you're saying if the water heater goes out and we're at a campsite someone will be sent out to try to fix because this happened to us before in our old motor home and good Sam said no part of that would be covered." He says, "absolutely, you'll have elite coverage with the warranty you're buying". He kept telling us that the elite plan was unlike any other plans and we received a LOT more coverage - including sending a service person to you (provided you're a reasonable distance away). A week later, I call good Sam to give the same scenario and they tell me the absolutlely do not, nor have they ever, provided service like that.
I called to ask about the lifts 2 weeks later and was told everything was ordered and I would be contacted when they came in. 2 weeks pass - no call, I call back and they say the same thing. We take our trip and use the old blocks to balance the RV. Only upset because we were told it would be ready.
Between the television fiasco, the blatant warranty lie, and the promised service not being completed on time I was pretty upset to say the least. I send them an email describing the situation and get no response. I give it 2 weeks. I send another email, get no response. Next I get a call because we didn't have our title with us at the time of purchase and they needed that to transfer our trade in. I explain all of the issues to the person on the phone and she said, "I'm just looking for the title, I don't have anything to do with all that". I explain I'll bring the title when I get the promised service. Magically, I get a call from the service department and hour later saying the lifts were in and they wanted to set up a time to replace. The finance guy calls a few days later and basically says, "things have changed in the coverage and there must have been some misunderstanding", no offer of anything - not even an apology - but they offer to refund the warranty which I had planned on doing until I found out the service department won't schedule you less than 6 months out if you don't have - so I begrugingly kept it.
We take he motor home to have lifts installed and, the next day, we're informed they had the wrong kit and had to figure something else out. A week later, and another trip with the blocks, they have us come in to install the proper lifts. They DID have the service guys correct the loose television issue as "on the house". I asked them to trace where an HDMI cable went and told them I knew there would be a charge. When we picked up they said there was no way to know without ripping out walls so they didn't look.
Glad to be done with them be go on with life. 6 months later I schedule a winterizing. The person on the phone seems inconvenienced by this and eventually sets up the appointment. The day before, my wife is called out of town on business and I had to secure someone else to pick me up after I drop off. I call and they give me a.later time to be there. I arrive close to the scheduled time, pull into the lot, the service area is pretty crowded and I'm not sure where to park. A service guy comes running up and, in an aggravated tone, asks what I need. I explained I didn't know where to park. He just said - "you just drove by 4 spots". I go inside to check in, the person I am supposed to do this tosses out the passive aggressive, "I expected you sooner". I explained I had called the day before and she simply says, "well, I have to check in someone else first". Everyone just seems inconvenienced by a paying customer. I pull out he price sheet I was given just 6 months earlier listing the complete winterizing at $130 for good Sam members. She tells me that's outdated, it's going to be more like $160 depending on what they have to do. What do they have to do? Winterize. I don't get it. No offer to honor the pricing I had in front of me in print that was included in my purchase paperwork. They currently have the RV and are winterizing. I think I'm going to have to look elsewhere for a service shop for the RV and sadly, probably won't be back to buy again.
I just don't understand why they wouldn't take better care of people that spend $50k to $250k at the onset.

Took my 2008 toy hauler in for repairs to the Camping World of Wilsonville, ORegon. Long story short, my trailer was stolen while they had it. They refuse to help in any way whatsoever. I think they actually stole the trailer. Won’t cooperate in any way and won’t offer any compensation for the trailer or my items inside. I had a negative experience shopping at CW. First time was trying to purchase a weight distribution hitch in store. When I called the store to inquire about it and asked a few technical questions, the rep on the phone had no clue. After 10 minutes of holding to find another person, he comes back and basically says "no one here knows whether or not the hitch is appropriate your RV and truck". What?? Why are you selling them then? It was a simple hitch load capacity and size question for a Silverado and a travel trailer.
The second time was an online purchase for a water softener. I ordered them Dec 1. No indication of backorder, great price, free shipping and I'm in no rush until Dec 20. Received order confirmation email that stated that I would be notified when the item shipped. I figured maybe 3-4 days tops to get some kind of notification. Dec 9 rolls around and I still don't have anything. I went on the live chat to inquire. Julie W's responses were short and unhelpful. I asked if she could tell me about my order. She said it was on backorder until Dec 13. Well it would've been nice if the customers received an email about it, I dunno, when CW found out.
Then I asked her what the shipping method would be since I needed the item by Dec 20. I didn't expect CW would take full 15 business days to deliver. She says "FedEx". OK,Julie. I wasn't wasting any more of my time with her. I didn't ask for the carrier. I was actually testing CW to see what they would do. I had already told them about how I feel about the lack of status update via email, website, or via live chat. I would've expected Julie to at least *try* to do something about shipping.
I then emailed the "Marcus" VIP email address with the above encounter. I received a response from Melissa who simply acknowledged that they received my feedback and will be forwarded to the appropriate team. OK. Just stick with your current system and don't notify customers unless there's going to be action done.
I checked the website tonight (Dec 10) and they updated the item by stating "back ordered. Expected in stock Dec 13). OK...a little late for an update for the customers who already purchased the item. I don't think I would've ordered this through CW if I had seen it back on Dec 1.
Look, I wanted to give CW a CHANCE and a second one, but I don't think I want to in the future. 1. This company is way too big to not have better order status system. 2. Customer service both online and in-person needs improvement (maybe I just got two mediocre individuals) 3. This "contact me, Marcus if you're unsatisfied" slogan is proven to be pretty bogus and a buffer for them to fix their crap reactively rather than proactively.
So no, thanks. I rather pay someone else $20 more to have reliable service from both technical and customer service.

WELL ! You should make it right.
For about Three Years I Wasn’t Happy. It takes time to save up enough $$ for expensive repairs.
Camping World should pay for what they’ve done to customers. RVers dreams and excitement are dashed after dealing in any way with that sorry excuse for a business.
In my case, the service department in Tyler, Texas charged me over $3000.00 to fix my slide out and jacks. Jacks-yes, slide out-NO and had it for 5 months. I was told it couldn’t be fixed, parts not available, try to sell it, rent it out, even BURN IT !!! We got it back in worse condition. I will never shop there again for any reason.
THANK GOD for HAYES RV SERVICES in LONGVIEW, TEXAS. They began working on it right away. Mike Smith, Michael and Larry fixed it! The kitchen slide out issues which included replacing gears, a cylinder, bolts, drive couplings, getting it back in time and hydraulic leaks were Repaired !!! AND with Available Lippert parts, the Slide Out bill was about $2000.00, in less than 4 weeks!!!! The service tech shook his head when learning it was at CW prior...he could tell, it was shimmed and wrong bolts used. It’s a Shame!!!
I’m a HAPPY CAMPER again THANKS to HAYES RV CENTER, LONGVIEW, TX.
I’ll continue to tell my story !!

We bought a motor home from Robertsdale , Al. I have previously written about the HORRIBLE service I got from them during the transaction. I am updating my anger at them. When we bought the motor home we were told that it is a 2017. All the paperwork they gave us said it was a 2017. Now 6 months later we want to sell so we can get a larger RV only to learn that it is not a 2017 but that it is in fact a 2016. This means not only that we overpaid for the RV ( and they knew it ) but also that now my selling price has to dropped so I have been screwed by Camping World once again.
I called them today to discuss this. I asked for the GM and man named Rick came on. When I explained my concern he looked up my file and told me that the chassis is a 2016 but the the coach itself is a 2017 and that it "happens all the time. THIS (expletive ) knows that they are misrepresenting the truth of their vehicles and yet still LYING to the customers. How many others have been mislead/ lied to ?
My guess is that I am losing about 6-8 thousand dollars as a result of the totally unethical lies these expletives told us. NOT TO MENTION HE ACTED LIKE IT IS NO BIG DEAL. AS he said " It happens all the time"
I just got back from an extended USA trip in my motor home. Every single person that I spoke to had nothing but negative to say about CAMPING WORLD.
We will be buying another, but not from them.

Stopped in Asheville Camping World on our way to Lumberton, NC. Met our salesman, Rob, who is a decent guy. We found a motorhome we wanted and got close to a deal (not quite) contingent on test drive. Spent the next three hours waiting for them to find the keys. Finally left in disgust and proceeded on to Lumberton. In Lumberton I inquired about a couple other motorhomes in Asheville none of which were acceptable. However they offered us several thousand more for our trade which was an old 94 Gulfstream. We went back to Asheville and made the deal after test driving. When we proceeded to the finance manager's office the presented form with the numbers. Astonishingly, they had inflated the selling price by about the same amount as the increases trade amount they offered ustotally different from the deal we made. Then to add a capper they added "shipping" at about $700. Shipping on a used RV.
I wrote to Marcus, who claims all over that "He's not happy if we are not happy" which is a load. I explained the attempt to defraud usno to him but to some young office staffer who handles emails to him. She did not seem phased by the issue which tells you alot about them. I wrote the same day telling them that I predicted the next day they would try and recoup some of that lost money they though I was too stupid to notice. Sure enough while we waited for the RV they said they needed to have a technician go through our trade. This is basically to see if you lied to them about the condition. It is very funny that they care so much for honesty from the customer but not themselves. Afterwards here comes the obnoxious sales manager together with our salesman.
He's got the result of the inspection. Our 94 motorhome has never leaked a single drop of water during the time we owned it, but the technicians claimed it was leaking. The idiot sales manager pointed to the windows as evidence. It was about 20 degrees that morning and we had all the windows closed with two adults and three pets inside a 32' motorhome. I replied that what he was pointing to was condensation. That ended that discussion.
Next he claimed that the rood and windows and doors all needed sealing and implied that we were untruthful in not telling them. I said, what did I have to tell younothing leaks. He said well the deal is now contingent on you giving us $500 to cover the costs of items that we had supposedly lied about. I argued over and over there was nothing we hid and we cannot be expected to pay for resealing the RV when nothing leaks. He persisted in the outrageous justifications of why we owed, saying they actually found $5000 worth of things we did not disclose. That was an absolute lie. However I said so you find $5000 worth of items that need fixing and you only want $500you really expect me to buy that?? What are you trying to do make a 94 coach new again? However in order to get out of there I offered to split the $500. He said he was not interested in that and would not negotiate. Then he started to walk away and fearful that he would prolong our agony I caught him and said okay, I'm going to pay the $500 but I'm going to send another email to "Marcus (the invisible) about this." I followed up with his office assistant who waS UNIMPRESSED by what I considered to be further fraudulent behavior by the sales manager.
We got out of there as fast as we could. My advice, if you think Marcus the Invisible is going to help you are mistaken. My guess is that his little helpers try to placate customers and if that does not work the issue goes into the round file. If the CEO and his cronies are not moved by the kind of fraudulent behavior I experience they flat do not care.

I will Never Never deal with a camping World again or buy anything again from there. Can’t wait to get rid of the Raptor toy hauler we bought from them. Not one bit of customer service skills. Everything is perfect till they get their money. Then they treat you like a second class citizen and block your phone number so you can’t get through. We had a major stress crack in ours the first time we used it. They kept it for months because the factory kept sending them the plans for a gooseneck camper. I had personally call the factory and tell them it was a 5th wheel. Then camping asked me Who was going to pay to get there !!!!! The nerve. We took it our selves.
Now we fine out that the refrigerator French doors have plastic in the bottom of them and now because of bumps in the road the they have completely cracked all the way and that needs to be replace. It will not go back to camping world. That company is the biggest ripoff and need to be closed and or get a better corporate people. Hear that Marcus !!!
Your the biggest joke there.
