Truly awful, the staff were rude, abrupt and had about as much motivation as a dead slug. The shop itself was fantastic but the staff ruined it for me! I asked for advice as to what mattress would be a good buy as I am new to motor homing and was told they couldn't really help me and laughed. I then stood in the wrong part of the queuing area to pay (even though I had followed on from another customer) and was told off for doing this. I was then told I couldn't take the green basket out to the car park even though the bits I brought were really heavy and I was then met with a miserable, grumpy lady who shoved a metal trolley at me. I have read a few of the reviews and other people said they were met with fantastic customer service. This was certainly not the experience I had.

Very disappointed that the awning carpet ordered and paid for on 17th June has still not been delivered.
When we paid for the carpet we were told "end of June", When I chased beginning of July because no one had had courtesy to contact me, I was told the boat from China would now not arrive until 25th July.
Called again today and told now boat not arriving until 22nd August. I understand this might be out of their hands, but why do I only get update when I email them?
Plus I did offer a solution that would at least keep one customer happy (one carpet from display, leaving one for another customer) but they would not accept this as other customers might be upset. So seems rather than try to keep 2 potential customers semi happy, they would rather keep all customers disappointed.

Sold me an awning and took payment, only to subsequently contact me to say that they had over-sold the stock, offering me the option of another model at a higher price. Old-skool sales trick.
Legally, they can't do that, but I couldn't be bothered to waste time with this lot.

Hiya, your terms and conditions have a section that isn't legal and this renders your whole terms and conditions useless.
Your section which describes damaged and incomplete goods is against the Sale of Goods Act.
If any item is delivered damaged or incomplete a customer is entitled to a full refund and for you to retrieve the item/s.
The customer is not liable by law for any costs endured because of damage caused by bad packaging or the delivery firm.
Your company is responsible for the item until the point of delivery.
A customer does not have to prove the delivery company caused the damage either.
Having terms which incorrectly state a consumers rights is illegal.
You must remove or change this section of your terms and conditions.
Part Delivery/Damaged Goods
All your goods should arrive in perfect condition; however, if you do receive any goods that appear to be faulty or damaged, we must be advised within 48 hours of receipt. We will do everything possible to ensure your delivery arrives on time and intact, we will not accept responsibility for any additional expenses incurred due to late or incomplete deliveries.

The product (Coleman Rechargeable Quickpump) was received poorly packaged and was itself damaged, making it unusable. Product packaging also has stickers from another company: Argos. Initial and subsequent calls to Camping International have been met with lengthy waits and unhelpful responses. Issues still unresolved.

i placed an order with camping international on tuesday 9th April for a new dorema datona awning which was £499.00 . I rang the company to confirm my order and was told it would arrive on friday 12th and the delivery time would be confirmed by email to me. I took the day off work to wait for my awning to be delivered, i received no email from the company so i rang again only to be told that the poles had arrived but the awning had not ??? I was told it would be delivered saturday instead and i would be contacted by phone. Saturday arrived and no phone call , meanwhile my £499.00 had been taken from my bank account. I rang the company yet again only to be told my awning had gone missing !!! I am very disappointed with the service i have received so far and still have no awning or poles . I have now been told that it will be delivered on tuesday 16th i am holding my breath and my holiday has been spoiled as i have no awning to put up with my caravan , so i am still waiting for a phone call to let me know what is going on i will probably have to ring myself again .... what this space... a very unhappy customer so far .
