I received extremely bad customer service at a stand over at Victoria Station in London by a staff member date (8th Sep) that evidently seemed to have an issue with what I would only describe with my ethnicity.. other customers in the queue whom were white - his whole demeanour and manner changed - service was considerably different. I have never ever in my life experienced anything quite like it! He was extremely rude to the point where I was incredibly upset. In these instances you would write an email of complaint to the company which I did as well as several follow up emails. No response or acknowledgement, it would appear that Cafe Nero don't take racism very seriously in regards to their customers being treated in such an appalling manner! very worrying and I had to write this so other people are aware because it is simply unacceptable in 2019! I've been going to Cafe Nero since it first opened but since this incident would appear to be trivial to the company hence the no responses I will be taking my custom elsewhere.

Coffee is great some staff are great but when you come in from the cold and try to find a seat away from the freezing cold air conditioning blowing at you you cant... when asking the staff to either turn it down or even setting it to blow a little warm air the reply is ' its really warm behind the counter for the staff and they have to keep the ambient temperature ' ? Hmm yeah that's what I thought, maybe the customers are not as important as they like you to think.
I've been coming to neros nearly every day for years and maybe it's time for a change.
Please please open a starbucks in Melton mowbray.. haha

Very bad service. Slow and not interested in customer's satisfaction. The app is useless if you have mobile data switched off. It's waste of time. I expected better from the airport coffee shop in quiet time. Costa is so much better and nicer coffee too. Bye Nero!

The absolute worst service I received in my life, this is the first bad review I’ve ever written, I just got back from Caffè Nero Clifton road and feel absolutely horrible, the Asian woman was nice but oh God, the other woman, she looked she hated my guts, I asked if they have a cheese toastie, she said no, everything’s on the board, read it! Then turned around and ignored me, I felt like crying, then I went near the entrance as she and the other woman had just turned around in the middle of taking my order, I saw that they did have cheese toasties so I ordered one and the woman looked at me in a demeaning way while the Asian lady was taking my order, I felt so judged and terrible, she then nicely took an order from someone else

Poor service, Caffe Nero in Shrewsbury
With two servers present, one serving the person in front of my partner, the second asked the person *behind* my partner what they wanted. My partner objected and was told each server serves two at a time in the queue - obviously not true as the second server hadn't asked more than one person in the queue behind. The person being served physically threatened my partner and me, and the staff did nothing about it.
We left the cafe and the server chased after us up the street, arguing with us.

I asked for my coffee made extra hot, this has been done on every visit for me. yesterday 15/08/2019 my coffee was warm. I took this back and asked can this be extra hot, the young girl said I cannot make this any hotter as it will burn the milk, yes I understand this but its had been made abit hotter each time I have visited. The young lady wasn't happy to make my coffee again, she did but with a face like thunder and banged everything about very rude. The cafe was a Birstal Leeds. I was really disappointed with the level of service as this has always been really friendly staff.

Recently visited Harrogate branch, staff attitude was appalling, with pathetic service. Only one person serving whilst another staff member played with mobile phone ignoring customers, and one chatted to a friend. Service time was appallingly slow, customer care non existent and the place was filthy.
Clearly Caffè Nero are seeking a new low on coffee house provision. I'll be avoiding their over priced, dirty premises in future. Perhaps it would be better if they stopped pretending they actually value customers.

I stood at door to get staff attention intended to sit outside with my 5 year old and 11/12 weeks old westies and girl kindly invited us all in . I wouldn’t let them onseats nor get in way especially as it’s rude and dangerous. Had a coffee ☕️ dogs got bowl of water and we sat happily watched the world go by. And we’re nice and warm . Bought a bacon roll for almost £4 from Fishergate Preston cafe, for my son, to find that it was mostly fat not one slice of bacon on it. I took it back in, and was treated like it was my fault, no offer of a refund and had to walk away with a son that still needed something to eat. I think it's terrible you can charge that price and rip people off. Not a very clean place either, dirty tables, no napkins available

I have had enough of Nero’s overpriced coffee. Went to the South Kensington branch - 2 cortado’s and Americans - the cortado’s tasted awful. They have no idea how to make or present coffee. Also, their blend is really not to my liking.

Too often I get a cup of milky coffee when I ask for Cappuccino. Just happened again today at Headington branch.. Please teach your “Baristas” that a Cappuccino is one third espresso, one third milk, one third FROTH! It is not the same as Latte.. Costa is more consistent in this respect...

Third rate service. Always forget to put the stamps on when I bring my own cup. Have gone back to using disposable because cafe Nero does not care about the environment. Third rate staff. Dirty filthy cafes. Poor quality coffee. Possibly the worst in the high Street especially in Sheffield City centre.

Full of yapping dogs, with no response from the staff!, they just let these dogs come in yap constantly - 5 dogs in the morning smelt like a kennel

I ALWAYS go to cafe Nero, one of my favorite coffee places, but today was just awful... I know legacy place cafe Nero is busy all the time, I was in line for a while, but was completely ignored, the lady skipped me, i told her excuse me I was next and ignored me she continued talking to the other people. Then another lady who was working (British accent) I told her if she could take my order since o was skipped.... she got annoyed and said you have to wait I'm busy. It is awful to be ignored, so I left. Will never go back, i always get treated well until the two employees that work today were completely rude and disrespectful.

Caffe Nero is one of my favourite place to buy coffee. Every morning their coffee wakes me up and make me ready for work. Greate taste, friendly staff, nice cookies. :)

I really like all the drinks here, especially the Macchiatto. They are usually well made and served with good presentation. My favorite location is Waterloo which is most convenient for me but I've visited others. One issue especially in Trafalgar Square is cleanliness. I was also disappointed to hear they denied a dog water. This is wrong and makes me feel unhappy about going back.

On two occasions recently I have visited the Lincoln store while in the area & had a great experience both times.
The coffee & food was delicious, the prices are reasonable & the staff are friendly & professional..
Perhaps this is just a particularly good store but I enjoyed my time here on both occasions.

I have a soya latte daily...every morning
I usually go the caffe nero in Barnes ( south west London) .
As I walk in ...they know what I want and we have a chat and say hi etc.
Occasionally ( maybe once or twice a week ) I will go to the one on Wandsworth Bridge Road .....most of the staff are just like the team in Barnes,except one !!! This young lady is just the most miserable person i have ever met [email protected]
Dont get me wrong...she is very nice and polite and makes a nice coffee ..
Just that it costs nothing to smile !
So today I said thank you and gave her a nice smile .....and she just looked back at me as if I was losing my marbles .....
Surely one of the requirements of anyone in the service industry is to at least smile (even if it is a fake one )
