i bought a 16 oz jar of their lavender essential oil for $44. the scent is not lavender and is
and is not pleasant. after the first try i will not use it again. it's that bad. the jar has no applicator, pipette or dropper so it's difficult to apply it to my waterless aroma diffuser. i tried to post a review on their website without success. i believe negative reviews are not allowed to be posted. i recommend staying away from this company

I fully agree with the service complaints about this company. Voice messages/emails are replied to days later sometimes quite rudely. Their prices are good and the product, good but OMG what terrible service. The unbelievable level of staff turnover doesn't help. I've been dealing with them for four years. I do bulk orders that last months at a time so my contact is infrequent but consistently I hear either "who?" or so and so "doesn't work here any more". With my most recent interaction, once this order is filled I'll seek an alternate supplier.
As a post script I will add that when I can get through to a manager, things improve dramatically. It's just too bad that's what it takes.

DON'T ORDER FROM THEM
They have very bad customer service and procedures, they shipped wrong bottles, now they don't want to fix mistake, they want to get bottles back, then they are going to send right ones, so it's going to take another week or so until I received the right size bottles, meanwhile I have to seat with unfilled orders. I'm extremely upset. Also, the item they shipped is 3 times cheaper from what I ordered.

I bought a Jasmine Essential Oil 3% dillution but it doesn't smell anything, not even pouring the whole bottle in a formulation.. basically pure glycerin would smell better.
It's still a steep price for what it's and sadly they refused to issue me any refund or store credit even though I've spent several hundreds of dollars on my last order. I'm not buying from Bulk apothecary ever again, this terrible customer service was enough for me, there're many others suppliers available out there...

The service at Bulk Apothecary has gotten worse and worse. They won't honor their promises when it comes to custom work and things aren't reliably in stock. Plus customer service is rude and completely useless.

I gave them 1 start only because it wouldn't let me continue with my review until something was highlighted. Otherwise, they would have received NO STARS AT ALL. I've been fighting with these people since September 4, 2019. I did not receive the coconut oil. I did get 2 kokum butters and 1 safflower oil. i didn't even get a packing slip in the box. I always attach the packing slip to my invoice. We have to pay to receive our orders, but God Forbid, if we have a problem, sure not going to get it resolved. I've emailed until I can't type anymore.........Called yesterday, again, and was finally told that i would be refunded (to my account) the $15.84. Today, I look and they have credited $13.46. They didn't even offer to give me the taxes charged or extra shipping. I will never go to this company again.

THEY DO NOT REFUND SHIPPING! That alone should raise some flags. These guys are just resellers. Oh yeah, don't expect to get quality stuff from these guys, their fragrances suck, and pale in comparison to the bigger retailers. I will never do business with them again.

I purchased a body wash base and a shampoo base from Bulk Apothecary. When my shipment arrived, I noticed that I had received 2 body wash bases and no shampoo base. I immediately contacted the company and received a rude woman on the phone who told me that the body wash and shampoo base were both the same product and this is mentioned on the website and that I should have noticed this. Why are you selling them as separate products then? My question is WHY not bottle them both the same as ONE product, a body wash/shampoo base? I wasted money purchasing TWO gallons of what I believed to be were two DIFFERENT completely different products. Will not order ever again.

I had an order delivered to wrong location, never signed for, never received. They told me that I was responsible for cost because the order was "delivered appropriately" though the receiver has no documentation. This place is a scam. Cost me $100 with no reconciliation. All I got was a sorry it's not our fault. Buyer beware, scam artists at their finest.

From day one my diffuser took hours before it began to work. I thought it may just have a slow start. I reached out to the email I had and after several emails in a 3 month timeframe along with several voicemails this company refused to credit or replace my product. Don't waste your time or money with this company. Product is not reliable. But my card did refund my card after I disputed the charge. So if your having a difficult time with them I suggest you do the same to get your money back. I will never use this place again.

We have found Bulk and current policies to be unethical and criminal. We have used them over the years and we have found them to be reliable when product arrives damaged or leaking or incorrect. We received last shipment on a quite large order and received 3 incorrect products supposedly mistaken for an item we ordered 15 of; and we were missing completely 2 x 5 lbs of two separate products. We reached out and requested overnighting the missing items, but they required us to cover the shipping on the mistake of the 3 switched out products AND will only be sending them once they see movement on the return shipping of the incorrect items. Then we were informed that upon further investigation the 2 5 lb products will not be sent as they were already mailed. These items come to over 1000$. We are a a cGMP manufacturer where 2 large 5 lb metal EO containers would have to grow legs and jump into moving car and be whisked away to not be located and inventoried immediately upon receipt. It is unfortunate that they have conducted themselves here in an unethical manner. We will no longer be ordering from Bulk.

I've been ordering the majority of my supplies from this co. for about 4 years. After reading all the negative reviews I was inspired to write my own...the prices are amazing, I've loved every product I've gotten, and the customer service department have always been polite and very helpful! The ONLY complaint I've ever had is the shipping time/prices, but besides that, AMAZING!

I have been ordering my bulk supplies from Bulk Apothecary since 2014. I'm not sure what happened in the last year and a half but they have seriously gone downhill. I'll buy something that says it is in stock and when I get my shipment expecting everything the invoice will say "Backordered". At this point it is a little too late as I am expecting these items for my business that has drastically picked up. I have even ordered a head of time to stay ahead of supplies.
I have also purchased many things that all of a sudden change with the way it looks. Mind you I have been purchasing these same items for 5 years now. So, the quality of items have also gone down drastically. If something is out of stock that is fine. I have other supply companies I use that carry the same things. I just need to know it is out of stock so I can plan accordingly. The only thing this affects is my business now. Whenever I have had a discrepancy with a "backordered" item, they always have an excuse and it's usually a BS excuse to shut me up. I know better than that and I also don't appreciate being treated like an idiot. What would be appreciated is if something is ordered and it is out of stock without the customer knowing they really need to reach out to the customer and let them know immediately so we can plan around this. It seems like as long as they get the money for something we the customers have to suck it up and wait until it becomes back in stock.
Buyer beware. Always have a back up plan if you order your supplies from Bulk Apothecary. Jedwards International and Bramble Berry are amazing. I have never had an issue with these companies before. Their customer service is also amazing

I have ordered several times through Bulk Apothecary and am pleased to say I am very satisfied. Of course, they have been out of my items at various times but true to form, when it becomes available, I receive a prompt email. As far as sprayer and bottle sizes, You, the buyer must pay attention. Yes, I screwed up once. Read to the bottom of the bottle specs and you specifically get the sprayer/cap size You should order. Also, Yes, I ordered one base and was sent another. I went back on line and read the ingredients for both. The massage oil contains the exact same ingredients as the scrub bases. Bulk Apothecary's customer service is appalling and unprofessional. Seritha in particular is rude and unhelpful. At this point, I wouldn't care if they had the best product at the best prices - I would never purchase anything from them again, and would not recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other companies that sell the same products with better service.

I ordered a variety of items ( handmade soap. oils, etc.) and everything arrived as excpeted and really fast!! I gave myself a month lead time so I can get crafting before Farmers Market season and I was SHOCKED to get everything in a few days! Amazing! I ordered a few soaps that they make in house and the quality is amazing! I'm very happy and I think I just fell in love a little with Bulk Apothecary. Its ok, you can see other people. xoxo

This is the shadiest company I've ever done business with (and I'm including my Chinese suppliers!). They purposely short the orders (sending .5 oz bottles instead of 2 oz) or leaving items out entirely (esp on lg orders). The quality of their essential oils is dubious at best. They also never post any review that's under 4 stars so you can't trust the product reviews at all. It' a shame because I'd hoped I'd found a good US supplier for my fast growing company but I'd literally rather pay more than send these rip-off artists another penny of my money.

I ordered some 4 oz bottles and their system offered me the wrong size sprayer. I didn't know they would offer me the wrong size for my bottles so I picked a color and proceed my order. Two weeks after I received my order I discovered the sprayer didn't fit the bottles. I called and had to purchase new tops and was told I would be refunded after they received the wrong size top my bad ones. Well the gave me a store credit and refuse to refund my Discovercard. They are ripping me off!

We have an agreement (in writing) that Bulk Apothocarry would provide our company at least one 55 gallon drum of a product, shipped at the end of each month. We're going on 7 weeks now on this agreement with one barrel paid for and all we get are excuses. Our orders are stacking up and we are loosing business. Unacceptable. Unprofessional. Unimpressed. With all the other areas of this company giving exemplary performance, above and beyond customer service - this is heartbreaking to write. I hope they can get out in front of this problem and make things right.
