Tree died within a month. Customer service wouldn't try to assist since it was just past the 30 day mark.

Bought a Meyers lemon tree from them as well as a blueberry bush. The Blueberry bush never produced and died, the lemon tree did produce about four lemons about a year, but its singular branch is so scrawny it looks like a joke compared to the one I bought elsewhere. I posted a review on their website about the Meyer's lemon tree but they took it down.

Don’t waste your time or money – purchased an Avacado tree couple of weeks back for my wife’s birthday. At the urging of the CSR, bought the biggest, most mature tree they offered – to ensure we’d enjoy at least the short term experience of a beautiful house plant for a few months. For $120, we received a 4 foot stick, with 3 branches, and a half dozen leaves, all bunched on one side – the kind of plant any decent nursery would just throw away. When I contacted Brighter Blooms through their “contact us” link, the response we got a few days later – from Shawn G. at Fastgrowingtrees.com – was “Give it time. It’s a young tree. Feel free to call us”. But no phone number. When I started reading all their negative feedback from others buyers, I knew I’d been had. Learn from this.

Brighter bloom doesn't even deserve the one star!!! Ordered several plants all died within two weeks. You are better off buying from your local gardeners, HOME DEPOT AND OR LOWE'S !!!

So here it goes. I order stuff online pretty much everyday mainly from Amazon. But I really really wanted a kumquat tree for my house. I went to this website paid for the tree and delivery fee and I got a confirmation email amd saying it was going to be delivered June 1st. I get a email may 30th saying they canceled my order because they couldn't get a hold of me to make sure I ordered the tree. That's the stupidest thing I ever heard of. When I called they were rude unwilling to help. They said were sorry but you'll have to go online and order it again. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM YOU AGAIN. There from so Carolina they just might not know no better. Your whole store needs a refresher course on how your business is run and customer service. Spoke to manager too. They also said there was no corporate office or anybody higher than her. I hope this helps somebody.

Just got off the phone with Amanda at Brighter Blooms. She was rude, argumentative, and unable to assist and offer a reasonable resolution to the dead tree that was shipped out to us. Thankfully we had a 1-year warranty with our order but that only covers the cost of the tree. They still make you absorb the costs of them shipping a dead tree to you. The tree first arrived to us in bad shape. Zero foliage just a bare, charlie brown looking tree. Dirt everywhere in the box. The bag they placed the roots in wasn't even tied off or secure so dirt was everywhere when we opened it, etc. We crossed our fingers and hoped that after planting it would survive but unfortunately it didn't. We called in to see what options we had and what Brighter Blooms could do to assist, but unfortunately this is a joke business, middle-man, who relies on 3rd party nurseries to ship quality products out. There is no accountability with these nurseries to send a good tree and when you call Brighter Blooms for a response they give you a multitude of excuses and "several variables" of why they are a poor company to do business with. I'll be taking my business elsewhere after this experience. Good Luck rolling the dice with this company.

I have ordered from Brighter Blooms also. I had paid them the last fall.,and they stated there were no more in stock and I would have to wait until spring. Come Spring, I waited sometime on tree but it never arrived. I called and they stated they had not received call from me, so they did not ship. It was avery bad experience. I received my twig which died. I called regarding guarantee and receive runaround. Eventualy stated they would replace it with smaller tree and it would cost more. I paid more and received another twig which also died.

What an ordeal...plants arrived beat up, broken, bent very dry and dead. Size advertised was not the size shipped on one plant. I called Customer service the same day the plants were delivered to me and they wanted me to send pictures. I sent pictures through their website and got no response from them at all in a week. So I called them again and they said they never received the pictures. So I had to send the pictures again. After all that time and trouble, I got a refund on two plants and then they charged me $29 for shipping. Never again.

This nursery sent me a dying Blood Orange Tree, although they also sent a good Cara Cara, so I'm giving them two stars.
The tree was yellowed, and the leaves were falling off. The tree had some weird moss growing in the soil, which was too wet. It was a plant they received in March, and clearly didn't take care of, whereas the Cara Cara was dated in November.
I posted a negative review on their site, but they claimed it was all from shipping. It wasn't, it was a neglected plant that had not been cared for properly, as I buy several trees a year, and they don't arrive like this.
They will not replace the tree, as they believe it is up to me to nurse back a 1 foot tree that costed $40, and not their job to send a healthy one.
I wouldn't recommend this company.

I ordered two Natchez crepe myrtles. I was not bothered by a bit of damage in shipping. It wasn’t that bad. That goes with shipping things.
But one tree was of inferior quality on many levels. The other one was stunning — full, beautiful leaves Seven feet tall. So as a first-time customer, I complained. A very nice woman named Robin helped me immediately.
The replacement tree arrived today. Almost no leaves on it. The few that were on it were dried. I think it’s safe to assume that Brighter Blooms isn’t too keen on replacing things. First-time and last-time customer.

I ordered 3 1-gallon butterfly bushes. The majority of 1 plant was dead and the other 2 were terrible. I am a master gardener, so I know what I'm talking about. I will never order from them again.

I purchased a Rising Sun Red Bud on 5/4/2018. I was worried when I received it having note in it that said they had a bug problem and the tree would look rough but don’t worry it’s fine, and yes the tree looked half dead when we got it. But we trusted that they knew what they were doing so we planted it. With only a 30 day return policy there is know way of knowing if it would live. Well long story short the tree is dead and we are out the money and no replacement. Be careful if you see on their site that they have a bug problem the plants will not live.

I decided to do a test this spring. Purchase some of my stock from my local garden store and some (in this case gardenia bushes and jasmine) from brighter blooms. The stock which came from brighter blooms was smaller and weaker looking than expected. Their material was half the price of the material I purchased at my local plant store, and it looked it. Get what you pay for I suppose. As the summer has progressed, my local purchases have thrived, while the brighter blooms product have not. They flowered once, and no more. They’ve struggled from day one. My advice, buy less and buy better. And avoid BrighterBlooms.com

I saw some negative reviews but my experience with Brighter Blooms has been excellent. The trees I have received were in very good condition and in much better condition than another company I had tried previously. I will be ordering more from Brighter Bloooms as I landscape my new home.

I ordered 7 pcs of "2 feet" green giant trees, they squeezed all 7 pcs in one skinning box (I thought I only got 1 tree delivered that day ). Compare with my purchase experience from another store, brighter blooms shipped 7 tiny sticks as 7 trees to me, very disappointed.
Will not purchase from this website again.

I’ve purchased 10 (5-6’) trees in fall, spent almost $1,200. I’ve received all the assurances from the sales person that it’s a good time to plant and trees will be just fine. Trees arrived by UPS in a toll tiny boxes with extremely weak roots all shaken out of dirt, I guess to reduce the shipment weight. Nothing like in their pictures. Very skinny trees with square cut roots to fit the box and without soil. Basically none of the tree roots had been in a soil for at least week. All of them were planted by the professional landscaping company and they also wrapped up each three individually prior to first snow fall. We opened them up two weeks ago and they are all dead. I’ve contacted this company and they are telling me that it’s mother nature and there is nothing they can do about and if I pay additional $300 they will give me store credit so I can by same crappy trees or similar trees again. Even Home Depot has warrantee on all its plants and trees for 1 year. This store, once you’ve made a payment, you are own your own.
Strongly recommend to STAY away from this company and buy from your local store so you can see the actual tree you are buying, instead of nice picture and skinniest tree, and most if not all local stores have a warranty for at least a year on all their products.
By the way they only show positive reviews on their web site, I left same negative review on their site and it never showed up.

I ordered two myrtle trees . I was so excited but both looked pretty sick when they arrived. I immediately send an email to them and they responded telling me they would likely recover but since I had notified them quickly they would replace the tree if in the spring it didn't recover. One did, one didn't. I sent a picture and email explaining and was told, well, you hadn't PURCHASED the guarantee so tough luck.

One is even too much for these rip off artists. They saw me coming let me tell you. Sorry I didn't do my home work and just shop at Home Depot. I bought a thunder cloud plum and three bushes, talk about being undernourished and pathetic, I felt like The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree episode. Couldn't stand it, went to Home Depot one week later and bought a nice big tree for half the price. I hope the small 3 foot bushes they sold me take and I don't get burned on them also. Don't ever buy what you can't see. Buyer beware here.
