I contacted Braun customer service via online chat as my Silk epil series 9 epilator stopped working. I was told that my product is still on guarantee. The customer service advisor was extremely helpful and swiftly did all paperwork required and send me a free postage to send my shaver back to their repair centre(all simply and easy). How surprises I was when my brand new epilator was return after less than 2 days!!! Well done Braun! Great products and excellent customer service! Thank you

Terrible customer service from both their "service provider" in the UK and their customer service point of contact. I bought the Braun Silk-Epil 5 Power 5780 Epilator. A part broke after 7 months. I hardly even used it during the 7 months. I contacted them regarding the 2 year warrenty. The warrenty does not list any exceptions to parts that are covered. Yet, when I contacted them they said the part that broke was not covered. It breaking was considered "normal ware" since that part is recommended to change every "12-18 months." It didn't wear down. It literally broke after 7 months of barely any use.

GOOD SHAVER BUT BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
I bought a series 7 as a Christmas gift for my husband 2 years ago. The shaver fell apart and is beyond repair. Yes it is just out of the limited 2 year warranty. I wrote to P & G expecting them to stand behind their product. I explained that the shaver fell apart and is beyond repair. Their customer service told me the stock answer. I was always a loyal P & G customer. Not anymore and I am telling anyone that will listen to do the same. The Braun shavers re not cheap, I expected more. **UPDATE: I found out the Braun customer service team has magic! They have the ability to 2nd guess the situation w/out questions or photos. My husband said COSTO will reimburse the original PP. No hoops to jump thru. We will be buying a Norelco. Thanks COSTCO, WE LOVE YOU!

I used a Braun Series 8 shaver (model 8995) for 12 years - it did a great job to the last day - before deciding to 'upgrade' to Series 7 model with a cleaning station. After 4th cleaning, the cleaning station started returning the shaver with its head all wet. I had the cleaning station replaced by the Braun Service Centre, but now again, a few months later, it is doing the same thing. I am very disappointed - the cleaning station is now useless. I haven't used it for a month now. Not a performance you would expect from a brand like Braun.

Bought a Braun Series 7 7842s on the strength of the glowing reviews for the product. However, after persevering with it for over 2 months, I can say without a doubt it gives the worst shave of any shaving product I have owned. Wet or dry, no matter what, it gives a very uneven shave and requires going over my face many times to try to get as many hairs as possible. It leaves me with a bad rash and even has cut my face. Needless to say, I am very suspicious of the positive reviews this series of shavers has received. I will now be attempting to make use of their 100 day money-back guarantee...

I totally in love with my iron of this brand. It works perfectly! I have never had such a good iron that works without any problems and has a special attachment that allows to iron silk and other very thin and delicate materials. Anyway, I am really happy to be the owner of such a cool iron!

I bought the series 7 razor wanting to try it against the philips rotary I had used for years, the series 7 worked great at first however upon replacing the shaver head everything went downhill. The replacement foil is garbage the shave got worst after using the replacement, What is wrong with Braun or who ever owns it now they take a good product and destroy it with cheap parts it is a shame. There is no longer any reason to continue to use the series 7 Braun since their shavers no longer stand out as a quality product.

Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I am standing in Walmart looking at epilators. I call Braun customer service to get details on their products..one of which I have at home..the silk epil 9 which won't grab hair anymore. The clerk was arrogant and mouthy..did not have knowledge on the product. I'm done with Braun!!

I tried a lot of Braun tools and they all were good.
But they all were broken ina couple of month, thats why I am not so happy with it. The last thing that I had was Braun Face Spa. My friend gave it to me on my b-day. I really like the way how it cleans my skin and how it treat it. Also, It can be used like faciale epilator. I haven't tried this option yet.
P.S. On BestAdvisosers I saw an opinion that battery has really short life and I agree with it.

I previously had a Philips electric shaver, which I got in 2009 (and still works to this day, even after spending a year sitting at the side not being used). In 2016 I decided to get a replacement shaver, and I thought I'd give a foil razor a try which brought me to Braun. This shaver works well, while it works.
Unfortunately mine decided to break and stop working about a year and a half after I got it (And I am not a heavy user, so this would probably be about 8 months for someone who shaves daily). Luckily it was still within warranty, so I sent it off and they replaced a power cell. Unfortunately it had the same issue and after trying to charge it the first time it wouldn't start again. I sent it back off for repair, and this time they sent a replacement unit. This worked fine for about 6 months, but then it stopped working again in the same way the previous one did. However, now it was outside of the warranty and Braun's warranty is only valid from the date of the original purchase so I have to pay to repair it.
When I asked how much it would cost to repair, they sent me a bunch of service centres in the US (I live in Europe)
I ended up just buying another Philips razor which has been working great and unless you need a foil razor, I'd recommend going with them as well.

We havehad Braun products for years, and reluctantly are changing to another supplier due to difficulty in contacting Braun. Their Electric tooth brushes charging system leaves something to be desired, its all sealed, there is no charging light so you have no idea if its charging or not you can not check it, at about £100 a throw no longer for me, don't touch them.

I purchased a Braun Series 7 7898cc Electric Shaver in Feb 2017. The performance started to decline after a year and after 2 years the shaver packed up completely. I opened up the case to discover that one of the wires on the motor had not been positioned properly when the unit was assembled. The side-to-side action of the motor had gradually frayed the wire. I contacted Braun thinking that they might be concerned about this premature failure which was clearly due to a manufacturing defect from new. However they refused to help, insisting that because it was out of warranty I would have to pay the full cost of the repair. I had been using Braun shavers for over 40 years but clearly customer loyalty does not matter any more, so I have now bought a Panasonic shaver for half the price of the Braun and I am very pleased with it. After this experience I shall not be buying any another Braun product.

I purchased a Braun Oral B 9000 electronic toothbrush over a year ago but it was still within the 2 year warranty. It stopped working so I called the customer service helpline to report the problem. He took the details and then emailed me a freepost label and worksheet asking me to pack the product and post it to the Olympic shaver Centre which I did on the 4 Feb. Today, 8 Feb I received a replacement product in the post. What fabulous service.

I have bought a Braun series 3 Proskin for a Teens first shaver as recommended as he has acne. So I bought the whole package including charger, travel case(note the word travel) for £146. I thought that it would have included the the plastic head protector as the shaver will not always be traveling if you get me. So I did live chat with Braun and was told because it has a travel case they don't see the need for a head protector but you can buy one on line. I just think if you are buying the whole package at that price it should be included. So now got to mess about ordering one. Thats if I decide to keep the shaver.

I was very satisfied with this product. It's compact and light and very easy to use. It glides effortlessly through both beard and hair ( and my hair is quite thick)and the different lengths are good too. Whether you want to style or trim it's great, only small issue is there's no case or anything to keep it in but other than that it's pretty much perfect. Also the Gillette is a nice inclusion for the clean shave.

The Braun Beard trimmer BT7020 looks and feels quality, with a design that makes switching settings & heads extremely easy to achieve. I was extremely impressed with the versatility, with plenty of settings for every beard length. The precision trimmer allows fantastic crisp detail, while the main trimmer makes achieving the desired length across beard effortless. I love the fact it is washable & portable, which makes taking it to the gym or on travels is simple.

The Braun BT7020 is a excellent piece of grooming kit. Great for clipping hair and easily adjustable beard trimmer. Very handy to use as can shave my head and the detachable contour beard trimmer is great.

I bought a Braun Beard BT-5516-3022 Trimmer in October 2018, after 4 months it stopped working and didn't wanted to charge anymore. First-time I used a Braun product, was expecting it to be good quality, big mistake, never again. Money down the drain.

Really surprised by the build and quality of this beard trimmer, was using a Philips before but I am now a big fan of the BT7020. Compact, lightweight and a very effective trimmer.

The Braun 9-in-1 All-in-one trimmer MGK5080 Beard Trimmer and Hair Clipper is brilliant for all shaving and trimming needs. It has combs to trim to various lengths and also great for a close shave. I found it perfect for trimming and for styling my medium length facial hair, it gives an even and precise shave.

A really versatile trimmer, that has 39 settings. I've found this trimmer to be very precise and it lets me achieve exactly the look I want. The blades are sharp and glide along my skin, there's no pulling or tugging. The trimmer has a sleek, lightweight design so it's portable and it comes with its own bag.

I have for the last 40 years used a variety of wet shavers (my favourite remains my ancient Gillette Fat Boy DE safety razor from 1958 - so it's four years older than me and still working well) and several foil and rotating head electric razors. A close shave with minimal skin irritation is important to me, more so than a quick shave. I don't mind putting in the time and effort to get best results.
I read many glowing reviews before selecting the Braun Series 7 (7898cc) Wet & Dry shaver with the Charge & Clean base unit. I ordered it online on 1st January 2018 and it arrived several days thereafter. After reading so many five star reviews, I was optimistic for this shaver.
Upon using the shaver, both dry and wet, I was most disappointed with the results. It always leaves stubble, most especially on the neck but also on the soft cheek areas and along the jaw line. This has happened ever since new and has become no better one year on (with the foil and cutter cassette now 'worn-in').
I tried using the Braun on completely dry skin, with the use of Boots electric pre-shave lotion, and then wet using my usual high quality shaving soaps (Trumper, and Pecksniffs), and then again, with Gillette shaving gel. Each time the Braun leaves stubble of around 1.0mm to 1.5mm on the neck, jawline and cheeks. I got marginally better results on the neck area by putting the shaver head in the angled locked position but it still leaves stubble. I thereafter have to resort to my trusty old Philips HQ10 twin rotating head travel shaver - which cost me around £12 around a decade ago and still has its original foils and cutters - it then deftly removes the stubble which the Braun 7898cc leaves behind. This is utterly ludicrous as the HQ10 uses old architecture in comparison to the state-of-the-art 8D foils of the Braun 7898cc. Moreover, the Braun costs more than twentry-seven times as much as the humble Philips: I bought the HQ10 from Boots for £11.99 whereas Boots are currently charging £329.99 for the Braun 7898cc.
From my experience thus far (the shaver is now 13 months old) I am not impressed with the build quality or reliability. After just six weeks of use the plastic button, which locks the shaver head, fell off and could not be reinserted as the plastic retention pins had fallen off inside the head After around 6 months of use one of the silver-coloured Series 7 plastic side plates fell off, followed by one side of the cutter assembly. Although the side plate presses back on, it falls off repeatedly, followed onto the floor by half of the cutter and foil assembly.
I have not used the slide-out sideburn trimmer but understand from online reviews that these are prone to break very easily early in the life cycle of the Series 7.
Battery life is now much diminished even though the shaver is barely a year old and I do not use it every day. On prior Series 7 models, replacing the batteries was easily done by the user - it merely involved removing two screws to access the battery compartment. However, on the new Series 7 models, the non-slip rubberised grip now covers these screws. To remove the rubberised grip would be difficult and requires specialist adhesives to re-adhere it, so I will not be attempting to do it myself. This of course means the unit must be returned to Braun.
As friendly local authorised repair shops no longer exist there's no possibility of taking the shaver in, waiting for the battery replacement, then taking it home so one can shave next morning. Instead the whole unit must be posted to one of Braun's service centres, so this means being without a shaver for a week or two (maybe more) whilst Braun complete the replacement. My nearest Braun service partner is in Nottingham – 103 miles away and a journey, which takes five hours, return. Therefore, I will have to post it to Braun at my expense.
It's a good job I have my old shavers to fall back on. I will be returning the unit to Braun so will update when it is returned to me.
From my experience thus far, I cannot recommend this shaver.
I wondered why the Braun Series 7 was rated so very highly, especially after I left a one-star review which they didn’t publish) on Braun's UK website page for the 7 Series. Then I read the 84 five and four-star reviews that Braun had published which gave the Series 7 a score of 4.43/5: they all had three things in common:
1. They are all designated as: “This reviewer received incentives from the product manufacturer.” - it didn’t specify what the incentives were but some reviewers reported they had received their shaver free as part of a Bzz campaign;
2. They are all annotated with: “This review was collected as part of a promotion” though the nature of the promotion was not stated;
3. They are claimed to have been “Originally posted on Product Sampling Community.”
Well. it doesn’t take much intuition to realise that if you give people an expensive item for free and then seemingly filter out any negative reviews then you’re going to get an artificially skewed high rating for your product and this will then be replicated elsewhere on the internet by people who looked at the scores but not the methodology which derived them.
Thankfully, we can trust Trustpilot and its community for accurate, unfettered reviews.

After using others cheap trimmers and not being impressed I got this Braun 10 in 1.
After using for two weeks I have to say, this is the only all in one trimmer you will ever need! It's brilliant and also comes with a fusion5 pro glide razor so you really are covered no matter what trimming your body hair/beard requires.
It comes with every attachment you’ll need and gives a really great trim cutting the hairs without any pain from pulling etc.
It's easy to change and use all the many attachments, plus they are easily cleaned and it’s also 100% water proof which is great as you can use in the shower!
The battery life is amazing one hour charge for over 100 minutes use this was perfect for me as I charged, took on holiday and did not have to take everything with me.
My only complaint it that you only get a shaver plug which means you will require buying a shaver adaptor plug if you don’t have one in your bathroom as I don’t. For the sake of a £1 plug it would have been nice to have this also in the box.
