I needed a new fridge quickly because my old fridge died on me.
The people at Bestsellers.eu were OK, and they even upgraded my fridge to the next more expensive model without extra cost to me when it turned out the model I had chosen was not available.
That was cool on their part and I really appreciated it.
However, there was a problem with the delivery.
The delivery company was Exchange.nl and that company was a total disaster. Unfortunately Bestsellers has NO control over that company.
Exchange was supposed to deliver my fridge 3-4 days after I had ordered, but they couldn't so they planned it a whole week later. This was already 2 days after I placed my order so I had no choice, instead of getting the fridge before the weekend I would get it the next Wednesday.
The day of the delivery they came at 7am in a white unmarked truck. Talking to the driver who looked incredibly tired it came out that himself was a subcontractor of Exchange.nl, not an actual employee of them.
Him and I waited for a whole hour because the lift needed to get the fridge to the upper floor wasn't coming. No lift showed up. We both couldn't call the Exchange.nl or Bestsellers.eu offices since they only open at 9am.
After an hour waiting the delivery guy went away as he had more deliveries to make.
I’m really surprised a company specialized in delivering heavy cumbersome objects doesn't have its own lifts!
The same day I called Exchange.nl and all they could do was to plan another delivery date... ANOTHER WEEK LATER!!! They didn't even apologize and were unable to give me any explanation why the lift was missing.
Canceling my order and placing a new order with a different vendor would be no guarantee it’d be delivered faster, so again I got stuck and had no other choice but to accept the unacceptable.
Finally the fridge was delivered a week later by what looked like actual employees from Exchange.nl and they didn’t forget the lift this time. But what a bad experience when you have a family to feed every day and can’t store any fresh food for more than 2 weeks! And to top it off I still had to pay 250 euros for the lift rental which they only used for 15 minutes!
In the end it doesn’t matter if Bestsellers upgraded my fridge since the whole experience got ruined by the unacceptable delays caused by their subcontractor.
I know Bestsellers did not cause the delays, but they are responsible for using totally unreliable subcontractors.
Unless they can prove they got their subcontractors under control I would not buy from them again.

Ordered a vacuumcleaner from bestsellers.eu. Had the best price offer at that moment and arrived as promised the next day.

I live outside of Netherlands and wanted to make some special delivery for my girl for her birthday: fitness bracelet in congratulatory packing and a big bouquet of red roses with greeting card. I sent a lot of e-mails to many web shops in Netherlands with request to make such an order. From about 20 web shops I was ignored or got answer that it's not possible. And only bestellers.eu told me that they can do it, even if they do it for the first time - and try to make this delivery something to remember. The man who wrote me was the owner of the shop - Huub Mattijssen. We almost 2 weeks prepared details of the delivery, discussed about the ways how to do it better. At the end, Huub himself delivered the gift to my girl, she was so happy like myself. It was just amazing.
