I don't know when they changed things, but complete incompetence would be a level up for them now. If your mother's actual birthday is inconsequential to you, this is your company. If you enjoy being treated like you don't matter, this company is for you. If you feel incompetence is a golden trait, this company is for you. Their management needs to be retrained or fired.

So I received a "coupon" for a free product and decided to redeem it knowing I would still have to pay shipping and handling. When I added the promo code at checkout the price for the shipping and handling magically increased by $5.00. So if you use a promotion code they charge you more for shipping and handling. So I deleted the item from the cart and tossed the coupon in the trash. Their products are way overpriced as it is. Even paying shipping and handling is more than the price of a similar product purchased elsewhere.

I'm at a loss for words for a company that used to be my happy place. If you need any sort of customer service, it's worse than my store experience. I have been a customer for about 25yrs. I am 58yrs old. I have never had to contact customer service until now, and boy had I known before! I had a horrible store experience. They have 0 customer service AT ALL and I was lied to on live chat. I was treated horribly over asking for a bandaid over a broken candle left on the sales floor I cut myself on, that I DID NOT BREAK. I am on blood thinners. I had to practically beg for a bandaid! I emailed, never heard a thing back. I messaged on Facebook, still nothing. I live chatted where I was told I'd receive a $50 gift card for the situation, yet the representative never even asked for my email I realized after getting off chat.
This company does not care about it's customers, in store and out. I'm at a loss for words a company so big would lie, let alone not get back to me over an experience that happened in one of their stores. Please beaware!

I ordered some Winter Citrus Wreath handsoap from this company on 12/13, with an expected date of arrival to be 12/24... I waited until that day to chat in and ask where my package was. They told me there are delays due to holiday (understandable) and refunded my shipping, which was kind of them. I waited until 1/2/21 and chatted back in to see the status, as UPS still only said "processing"... They told me that they can issue me a refund. I asked for a replacement since it was a Christmas gift, but they said they are sold out. I appreciate the refund, but I feel that it's not very fair to wait 3 weeks for something, inquire about three times and be told that you are out of stock. I am not upset at anyone, but at the situation. I sure hope that package arrives, and if it does- I am happy to pay for the product.

I had a gift card of $200 and only using it once then having to $106.01 left on the card. Stolen and used without my knowledge on December 21st then finding out the balance was $0. I decided to call their customer service line and I thought I would get at least some human decency. BUT NOPE, I was treated like it was my fault when I didn't know somebody could've done that out of thin air, so after being humiliated and no help at all then being LIED through in front of my face. Them saying "we will be sending you a E-gift card of $110 for the inconvenience in the next 72 hrs and since they could only go up by $5. I waited 4 DAYS and received nothing so I called the customer service AGAIN to ask for a card replacement and explaining my situation over again then being treated with the awful experience I'll ever receive from my favorite store on Earth. So now I have lost 106.01 that I was planning to use on SAS is now gone, so now after being humiliated and tried calling all my local BBW for help and at least if they give me a refund, I told them somebody spent the rest of my gift card balance without my knowledge then they have the $#*!ing audacity to ask "do you have a receipt?" in WHAT LOGIC could any human on Earth ask that... after I just said it was SPENT ANONYMOUSLY, I understand they have been having a lot of issues with online orders and in store sales but doesn't give them an EXCUSE to just do 1 simple job that a I ask and that's to get my money back. I'm doing them a favor and buying their products so wtf BBW? My favorite shop turns into my LEAST favorite shop on Earth and those small details makes a huge DIFFERENCE. I have pictures with the only receipt I had when using the gift card and the after result when I found out that somebody spent all of the available balance

I ordered $100 worth of product in early November for Christmas. It is now December 15 and the product still isn't here. I used the "chat" feature on their customer service and explained the issue and she cancelled my original order and now most of the items I ordered initially are unavailable. They issued a credit and offered to resend the product they did still have in stock. All disappointing.

I wrote 2 reviews on their site and they refused to publish. They had 28 reviews for cinnamon roll foaming hand soap and miraculously after I submitted my review they had 78 the next day 5 star reviews that sounded like a marketer wrote them. Here is what I wrote. Since you added an "s" to the end of your cinnamon roll foaming hand wash and changed the image, you watered it down and it has no smell now. Waste of money

I will never order online again! Said my sale items were delivered on November 30th by Lasership and it never was delivered when I called customer service I was told that most of the items I ordered were no longer in stock so got a refund but everything I ordered was christmas gifts for my daughter! Get rid of Lasership and I may stay a customer but if not I will never order again

I am so tired of finding the perfect scents at BBW only to have them retired or completely discontinued. My first love was Cool Citrus Basil. It is not only a great fragrance, but holds memories of the honeymoon my husband and I had to save for 6 years - just to go to Florida. Then, to compensate, after buying Cool Citrus Basil "leftovers" from Amazon I found I liked the wonderful White Citrus, also dropped. Then I found a great scent in hand sanitizer (Bahama Breeze?) only to find out hand sanitizer was the only product with that scent. Then, my hubby and I found a fragrance we both loved, Twilight Woods, again to only be discontinued. The scents I adore are never in their "retired closet". I've emailed them endlessly about bringing back Cool Citrus Basil in just one product for a limited time. I NEVER get a response. I'm almost to my frustration limit in buying from BBW because I don't want to find another fragrance I love only to have it terminated. It's almost not worth the constant disappointment anymore. Lastly, Cool Citrus Basil, if you can find it online on eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. goes for VERY high prices (I saw the lotion for Cool Citrus Basil on one of these for a little over $100.00.) Doesn't that tell BBW there is a real market for this scent?

I am going to make it a point from now on to not order online. This is the second year in a row they show items in stock, then send an email they don't have an item. You lose the promotion of buy 2 or however many get one free and get charged shipping. Then they do not allow cancellations. I think it is a slick way to get more money in shipping charges and higher costs for products. What major online retailer does not allow a consumer to cancel nowadays. B&BW is a one way street, they can cancel, but we cannot.

NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM BATH AND BODY WORKS ONLINE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF, OVERCHARGED, AND MANIPULATED. THEY DON'T SEND YOU IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION EMAILS LETTING YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU'VE BEEN CHARGED OR FOR WHAT. OFTEN TIMES ITEMS AREN'T AVAILABLE AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR DUE TO NO CONFIRMATION EMAILS. NEVER ORDERING ANYTHING FROM HERE EVER AGAIN. THEIR 3 WICK CANDLES ARE $24.50USD WHICH MEANS THAT YOU'RE PAYING ALMOST $100 IF YOU ORDER 2 CANDLES FROM CANADA! ITS RIDICULOUS. I WISH I NEVER ORDERED FROM HERE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Bath & Body Works has some nice products, however if you're a Canadian customer the website is quite lacking. All you get is a store locator, a few photos of current promotions and a place to sign up for emails and coupons (which doesn't always actually put you in the system.)
If you visit their Facebook or Instagram profiles and check out the comment section you'll notice comment after comment from customers asking for a Canadian site to purchase items through. The company simply invites you to purchase them from the US site... wonderful that only increases the prices based on both exchange rate and the shipping. Although not a new issue, with current pandemic conditions one would have hoped that it would be the push needed to finally get the Canadian shopping site... but no such luck.
I signed up for the US coupons and tried to make a purchase through the US site, however it would not accept the cupon due to the Canadian shipping address, so no cupons either. It really makes you feel like they just don't care about their Canadian customers.

So I always order my soaps from them until now because I ordered soaps and I didn't get them all and when I called and told them that I just received the package open it up and didn't get all my soaps customer service lady was very rude she acted like I was stupid she told me that it was on the invoice I told her that I know it was on the invoice I also have a copy of the invoice but it was not put in my box she continued to be rude I told her that I want my soaps that I paid for or my money back so after 20 minutes of this she then mailed me my one soap that I was missing that was after I had to wait another 15 days to get so I waited 30 days to get one soap won't shop from them again they want my money to pay their paychecks but yet they're going to act like I'm stupid and be rude to me no thank you I'll go someplace where customer service is much better where they appreciate my business

Was really annoyed to check my email and see a today only online/instore bath and bodyworks coupon for handsoaps at $3.25 delivered after 8 pm to my email last night just to go to the link this morning and find out the online offer expired and the offer was only valid in store especially after having some handsoaps already picked out prior to the sale and in my cart to purchase... like bath and bodyworks when do you think normal people sleep could have had it online for at least 24 hours

I tried using your promo "SUDS", I used my card and my husband's card (which both have money on them) and it said there was an issue running both cards. I've never had a problem with ordering on your site and I am very bummed we missed out on your $3.25 for hand soaps.

Had a terrible experience with customer service yesterday.
I absolutely love the store. I have a vast collection of their fragrances and was planning on building up even more on it. After yesterdays experience, I refuse to buy from their store again. My complaint is for the telecom customer service and not about the representatives in store. I bough four candles on sunday August 15th before the candle sale ended and after they got shippped, I got a reward of a full size product up to 16.50. I was happy and looked for a product, added it to my cart, and purchased it. It came up to the part where it tells you that I will receive an email once the product is ready. I had a feeling I should have printed the page but didn't because I though "Well if there is any issues, I'm sure they can help me with it." No they will not help you at all. I got out of work and headed to the store for drive up and when I called to pick up the item, I realized I never checked my email. So while the rep was looking for my item, I checked and didn't see a confirmation email of the purchase or an email stating that the item was ready for pick up. So I apologized to the rep and said that maybe it just didn't fully go through so I tried to redo everything to get my free product and the code said it was already used so I couldn't use it again to get my free product.
I decided to just call a customer service representative to see what my options were to see if I can get a new code or what exactly can be done. The first rep was very polite I explained to her what happened and she said that maybe it was because it needed to be a purchase like they usually have the buy one get one free and I explained to her that no on my rewards it doesn't mention that I HAVE to buy a product to get one free. I will post below the details as a reference:

Once I explained that to her, she said she would have to speak to a manager about it and I was placed on hold. I don't recall exactly how long I was on hold, but it felt like about 3-5 minutes and then the call either disconnected or I was hung up on. So I waited a little while since I remember giving her my number and thought that maybe if the call was disconnected she would call back. Since I did not receive a call back, I decided to call again. Now this representative, Christopher, you could tell that he might have had a bad day by his tone, so I explained to him that he was the second representative I speak to and that I did not remember the name of the first representative and that maybe the call was disconnected and when I was about to explain my problem, he cut me off and asked for my information. I provided it to him and and once he got my info I explained what had happened that I used my reward and that my order was not showing in my account and that since I used the code, it wouldn't let me use the code again and that I wanted to know what could be done. So he tells me he will ask a manager and he puts me on mute, I think since there was no music, and once he comes back he starts asking for my billing and mailing information. So I tell him that I am not trying to purchase anything. I was trying to get my rewards back since the system made my order disappear. So he sarcastically said "Oh so you want a free product." that did get me pretty angry so I said that of course I do since I earned the reward. I made the purchase for a free product using the rewards I earned by buying my candles and I wanted to get that reward back. Long story short, there was just a lot of back and forth, I asked for a manager and got hung up on again after being on mute for 10-15 minutes. So I called again and told the third representative that I was already very agitated and that she is the third rep I speak to and explained everything again. She was very nice, a shame I can't remember her name. But she too was telling me that it most likely was not working because it had to be a purchase of more than one item to get it free. So I read to her the details on my reward and she spoke to a manager and tried to help me with the issue. She had done some things on her side to make the purchase and have it available for in store pick up for me and gave me an order number. She said I would receive an email shortly with the order number and that everything should be good. I thanked her and hung up. All was good again until I realized that, once again, I never received an email with a confirmation number. And when I checked online using the order number, it said the order did not exist.
I am just very disheartened. I really loved Bath & Body Works but this experience makes me very reluctant to buy anything from them ever again. They just lost a customer. All of this could have been avoided too if the reps would just listen to what I was saying and not act like I am new and don't know how the code works or that maybe I was actually trying to use one of the promotions like the buy three get two free. If I was just told from the start that "I am sorry, but we unfortunately can't give you a new code since we can not verify that you did in fact use the code and not somebody else." I understand if that was the problem. I was never told that. My words were just constantly thrown aside like I was lying or didn't read the details on the code I tried using. Please train your representatives better. This was an unacceptable experience.

I love Bath and Body Works. I've always went in the store to purchase before Covid hit. I chose to Order online for the first time. When I first put in my order I was excited to be getting a fragrance they know longer sale in the store Tahiti' Dream. Next thing I know I get a email they no longer have it, and that my order is delayed. I finally get my package late to my surprise. The tops to the sprays have residue on them! Please do better BBW. People spend hard they hard working money. I don't recommend ordering.
