Placed order for 11 chairs, 1 office for 180$ and 10 dining for 385 a piece and received only 1 and the rest of the order is missing, no one answers and website is out of business please be aware it’s a scam, lost 3850$ from November of 2018 to the date- 03/11/19

A sham. Bar Stool Co. is now Houzz. They took ~320usd from me and never sent my zen casa Leiden chair. Then they shut down the website and started another business identity / entity.

I also ordered barstools and when they came, they were cheap looking but expensive to buy. I called and emailed for several weeks and finally got a response and ups labels from them. I sent them back and weeks later no refund. Finally received an email saying they do not give refunds????? I guess they just take your money!! bad bad bad company which i see their website no longer up so obviously taking advantage of people is their scam.

Item on back order for over six months. My 300+ USD gone, no PayPal protection after a few months, and no zen casa chair. Now Barstoolco has disappeared with no one responding to my requests. Very bad.

I placed an order early February and said it would be delivered by Feb 14th, however I STILL have not received my order! I Never got a confirmation email, although my payment was processed ($800+). I can't get in touch with anyone and have left several voicemails and messages the past few weeks. This is unacceptable. HIGHLY do NOT recommend!

I have placed my order for 4 dining chairs on February 3, 2019. For some reason per their policy, it takes them up to 5 business days to process the order and on their web site it says that the order will be shipped on February 11, 2019. With that speed you can easily go out of business these days. Anyway, on February 12, my order is still in processing. I initiated the chat room with the rep and was told that they are investigating and will let me know later when my order will be shipped. Meanwhile I found exactly the same chairs from Amazon Prime $75 cheaper then from Bar Stool Co. So I was determined to cancel the order with Bar Stool Co and request a refund. So I did. Later that day I received an email stating that my order has been canceled and I will get my money back within 3-5 business days. Today, I checked with my credit card but money haven't been refunded yet. So now I believe I have to chase them to get a refund of my money. Terrible service and terrible customer care. I wish them to go out of business very soon.

Placed our order on 1/11/19, it’s now 2/27/19 and still no shipment of our order. It’s a $1,300 order. Customer service has never proactively responded to update us. Multiple names are used as the “customer service” rep, I think it’s all the same person. No one will answer the phone and your lucky if you get someone into the online chat option, where you get the same message over and over saying let me check and I’ll get back to you. Awful company and performance.

I have NEVER had a more aggravating experience with any company than I've had with this one. I wish I could give them zero stars. I ordered a TV stand on December 30, 2018, with a shipping date of January 7, 2019. By January 9th, still no shipping date so cancelled order and received a cancellation e-mail on same date. Two hours after that e-mail, I received an e-mail from Fed Ex showing item was shipped and given a tracking number. Called Fed Ex and reported the order was cancelled and requested they ship item back to sender. Received confirmation from Fed Ex that item was shipped back to sender and given a name of person signing for item when received by them. Called my credit card company and disputed the charge as I had made numerous phone calls to company for a refund with no positive outcome. When Bar Stool Company responded to my credit card company, they outright lied to them and told them the item was shipped and was received by me. The credit card company therefore placed the charge back on my account. Numerous phone calls later and I was required to fax all my documentation back to credit card company showing that I NEVER received item and providing them with date of return and who signed for item. Now, I'm waiting for the credit card company to charge back the amount from Bar Stool Company and give me a refund. I received a canned letter from credit card company showing they have decided in my favor and will remove charge again from my account. I have been working on this issue for over two months and I still do not have a refund on my account. Now I find out that the credit card company is yet again contacting Bar Stool Company and giving them 90 days to reply to my dispute. They lied to the credit card company the first time, what's to stop them from lying again? Bar Stool Company no longer answers the phone on their customer service line and they have shut down the on-line chat. The only way you can get in touch with them is through e-mails, which after a month and a half, I still haven't received a reply. I have contacted my State Senator and written the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint against this sham company. My credit card company felt so bad about what this company is doing to me, they issued a $50.00 credit on my account to help defray the stress I have experienced with Bar Stool Company. It's really amazing and baffling that a sham company can place a charge on your account in a matter of seconds, but it can take months to process a refund even if you have signed evidence showing you never received the item. Obviously the laws in this country favor the businesses and not the consumers!

I placed an order early December and have not received them. Customer support said it was delayed with warehouse. Then in early Feb they said they would be shopping it out but I have not yet received any info. Hard to reach customer support through text, email and phone call.i feel scammed DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

This sham of a company took $1000 and never sent product. My story is the same story as everyone else’s - they do not answer emails or calls and now their website is down. We need better laws for consumer protection. I have been in touch with a lawyer and will be be filing a lawsuit against loser owner Dylan Bongiovanni for his reprehensible “business” practices. I’m sure he’ll claim chapter 11 and walk away from all this unscathed... which is REALLY unfortunate.

Like everyone here, I was left hanging with a charge & no furniture from Bar Stool Co. Their site went down 2 weeks ago & it appears they are out of business. However, I had PayPal open an investigation & since Bar Stool didn't respond, I got my money back. I hope you will also. You may have the protection you don't even know about. My designer ordered 6 barstools before Christmas and they still haven't arrived. I've already purchased replacements from another source and will get stuck with 6 stools we don't need. Unbelievably slow.

I noticed a charge on my credit card from Bar Stool Company. I have never ordered anything from them, called them multiple times (voice recording only) emailed their site multiple times, then contacted my bank who looked into this and agreed it was a fraudulent charge. Interesting that this company never once returned my calls, my emails or notices from the bank! Making a police report is next.

I ordered 2 accent chairs 8/31/18 which was 5 months ago. STILL NO CHAIRS. They took out the money immediately amounting to 1grand. I have called and followed up and everytime it’s either - they will ship tomorrow - they will check on it and someone will reach out and get back to me (never happened) - they will contact the warehouse - it’s available wait for shipping confirmation - it’s already in the warehouse - then suddenly it’s back ordered again for another 6 weeks (said yes cos it was back ordered on the other website i checked) AND THEY NEVER FOLLOWED UP UNLESS YOU CALL AND YOU GET SHITTY CUSTOMER SERVICE I eventually cancelled my order today Last week I called and they said a “customer specialist” will email me. I did get an email saying it will be shipped within the week or early this week Well it’s already thursday and i called to follow up. Another “customer specialist” will email me again. I said, why can’t i talk to a customer specialist, he said they only do emails. Which is stupid cos when they email, im gonna call and talk again to a regular customer service representative and they will say again this customer specialist will reach out to me? What a scam!! Why can’t i talk to them directly? As i was cancelling my order i asked and he said it will take 3-5business days for my refund to reflect on my account but said in rare cases it will take 10 business days? As if warning me that it will take that long Then after I got an email that I will receive a separate email for my cancellation and i should receive this email in 2-3days??? Why should i wait for the email for 2-3days when you already emailed me? To buy more time? What M.O are they doing here? Scam scam scam!!!

Worst experience ever. Company kept giving us the run around with our order. Month and a half since our order was placed, and still haven't received our order. Phone service horrible. You can hardly get anyone on the phone. If you request a supervisor or manager, they are alwsys in meetings. No matter what time you call. They say they will return your call, but never hear back from them.

Please, please DO NOT waste your time with this sham of a company!!! I ordered 3 counter stools from them totalling almost $1,000. They were backordered 5 days from my date of purchase. After going back and forth on the phone and via chat with customer service, they continually lied to me about the shipping date, ended up shipping a MONTH after date of purchase. The stools were dispatched via Estes freight; Bar Stool Co. only shipped two of them, and I had to wait for the third to receive my final shipment. Estes passed them off to a local freight company who failed to deliver them on the scheduled date. Ended up driving to the freight company to pick them up and all three stools were broken and destroyed in the box. Two months of absolute nightmare. I had to do a chargeback on my credit card to receive a full refund.

Unfortunate experience. Initially told delivery of one week...then no updates or response to my queries. Do not respond to VM or email. Eventually cancelled order as they could not give my any informaiton as to when I'd receive my item. Promised a refund in 3-5 business days...it has now been 9 and no response, no refund...bad business practice.

I have filed a claim with my credit card company to get my money back. I had no idea I was dealing with a company that was going to take my money and not deliver the purchased product.
