I guess people only come here to complain. HOWEVER this company gave me the best customer service of any online shop. I screwed up my zipcode and my package got lost. They could have easily held this against me but they helped me work with FedEx and overnighted me a new shipment! They were so helpful, explained everything, wrote me back quickly and each email was super personal. Every other online retailer can learn from how this company is handling their customers and helping solve problems. So thankful.

After placing an order at BareNecessities.com and paying for overnight delivery, at a great rate of only $5.00, it does seem it was too good to be true. I ordered on a Wednesday and was guaranteed By Friday. They never shipped they package and kept lying when I called to verify it shipped. Then they emailed on Friday and stated since they could not make the timeline they will not ship it out and refund. This is NOT what I wanted , I wanted my merchandise. I said OK to deliver until Sunday I leave for a trip on Monday. They would not accommodate and really had no sense of care.

Bare Necessities has been great to work with. My package wasn't delivered to the right address. BN was great about helping me track down the package and then refunding and replacing the order. Their customer support person and then email follow-up was excellent. I really appreciate the quick response communication and care they gave me.

I used Bare Necessities because it's one of the few companies that make my bra size (30G). In addition to there being a $6.95 return charge, the bras are of cheap quality and poorly sewn. I recently purchased a bra and wrote a review on the site, and while they responded to me, they took my review down, maintaining that the review score for the bra was a 5 out of 5 star. It makes me wonder how many other honest reviews were taken off the site, just to get the bras stolen. Poor form.

The bra I ordered felt very cheap. It fit horribly. It did not smooth back part at all. I’m so disappointed. I can’t believe I spent so much on a bra that I thought I was going to love.

I placed an order for a swim top that had free return/exchange policy. Unfortunately it was too big and had to return it but I also wanted to order another swim top instead. When I called customer service, I was advised to just return the original item and then separately order the new item. Since the original had free returns she said it would be no problem. Using the provided returns shipping label I did exactly as advised. I was also told that the returns refunds can take quite some time to process. So after 2 weeks I called customer support to check up on the return. The person I spoke to said it had definitely been received however is still being processed so the refund might not show up on my credit card for another week or so. After another 2 weeks I called again and this time the customer representative I spoke with said the item had never been received and there’s nothing that can be done because I never sent it. I cited my previous conversation with the other representative who confirmed that the return in fact had been received but it didn’t matter to this representative who didn’t look further into this matter. Unfortunately I had to take this matter to my credit card company who settled the matter for me and refunded the amount. It’s very disappointing and extremely frustrating that a customer based retailing business would conduct an operation in an untrustworthy and procedure-lacking process. I will never purchase from this retailer again.

Slow as a turtle in shipping and processing a refund. one thing bare necessities is good at is responding to reviews about how bad they are with generic response to contact their customer service. Bad company. Bad customer service. Stay away from this business!

I had to return a shaper as the legs rolled, even though it was the correct fit. They always say a shaper will roll if it is the wrong size but this was the correct size. Of course the shipping and handling is not refunded then I was shorted over $7.00 in my refund amount. I had to chase the company for my own money and still I was not given the proper credit. Do not order from them, order from Spanx, which has excellent customer service and stands behind their products. I made a mistake ordering from them, you really do get what you pay for.

I received my shipment of 20 pairs of panties. I had previously ordered 6 pairs without incident.
This new order of (20) should have received a 20% discount, but nothing was discounted. I called customer service to learn that I had something (?) on backlog,and that shipment would be given a 20% discount..... What????? Anyone can do the math... 20% of one item (not identified as back ordered), vs. my entire order...... well, is not what was advertised, and farrrrr less than I should have received. I have notified AmEx to flag this company as “falsifying” what is advertised, and a potential scam.
If you buy here, be aware that your return or credit is unlikely.
So sorry that I had previously recommended this company!

I am a 32 H for bras and it is extremely hard to find my size in bathing suit tops. I just got the Hawaii Ibiza Halter Top bathing suit in the mail today and it fits me well. I did go up a band and cup size since it goes by UK sizing, just wanted to be safe. Better too big than small. Going with the 34 G UK size, equivelant to a 34i US size, it fits perfectly!

I ordered some lingerie on June 26th. Paid for next day delivery. They contacted me for a credit card authorisation and told me that I wouldn't receive the items until July 1st. Since then my emails have gone unanswered and the order doesn't even show as having been shipped.
Coupled with all the negative reviews across the internet, I would advise people not to order from them. They obviously provide false information so that you make the purchase.

Purchased four of these based on comments from the bare necessities website. The stitching on all four of the bandeau bras I ordered is loose and poor quality. I will be returning all four of these bandeau bras. Unfortunately there is. 6.95 return shipping. I would never order from this company again because the four bandeau bras i received were low quality loose stitching and also because my original review was never published on their site. I don’t like spending money with businesses who are blatantly deceptive and in my opinion not publishing reviews that have been verified is a deceptive practice. The stitching should be tighter and heavier for their Rhonda Shears strapless bandeau bras.
Originally I was going to try one of their other strapless bras, but after not having my review posted on their website I think I’ll pass.

I was SO excited to finally find a bra store that had my size in sports bras. The bra itself was fine, but my experience with the company and customer service was terrible. I ordered 2 bras, one didnt fit, so I filled out the exchange form and sent it back- which was very easy to use. I needed my exchanged item shipped to a different address- a fact they missed, and mailed to the wrong address. I emailed first, explaining the situation and after a short back and forth (and them telling me there was nothing they could do, and suggesting I figure out how to get my package), I decided to call instead. The person on the phone was extremely condescending and I had to ask at least 3 times what they meant by "they will review your request" before they FINALLY said someone will contact me. I got a voicemail with a solution, and they said I had to call back with the right address and it would be taken care of. I called 4 times each time being on hold for 5 minutes until it automatically went to voicemail. I called again on my house phone and was answered IMMEDIATELY. (Idk if this is relevant but I thought it was telling, as I used the same phone for the first call). I explained exactly what the voicemail said, and the person had no idea what to do. After a 10 minute confusing back and forth (again, condescending) I finally had to ask for a supervisor who solved it in less than 3 minutes. Supervisor told me that this was the overflow for the "actual customer service" because they didnt want me waiting, even though I spend a lot of time on hold. To be completely honest, I was frustrated and I know it showed in my voice, but the company should teach ANYONE who answers the phones how to help an upset customer- and that is clearly not happening.
TLDR; I had to be on hold for 20+ mins just for customer service to condescending towards me and be unable to help. Asked for a supervisor and the problem was fixed promptly.

I am changing my review based on updated customer service from Bare Necessities. They contacted me to resolve the situation I wrote about here. Within one day all of my past orders were back up in my account and they sent me a coupon as an apology. I am very happy with the results. The only thing I have to say is that it took this review to get action which I don't think should have to happen. I think it should have been resolved quickly the first time around. So that everyone can see what the original problem was, following is what I originally wrote in my review which has been resolved. (I ordered from Bare Necessites for years and spent hundreds of dollars. I recently logged into my account and my history showed "no orders". Numerous orders were shown the previous day. I contacted customer service and they told me they would research it and get back to me. After over two weeks of back and forth emails, always generated by me, since not once did they get back to me as they promised, I have finally given up on this company. I use past order history to reorder and check sizing so having my order history in my account is important to me.) AGAIN, THIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED SO I CHANGED THE REVIEW TO FIVE STARS.

Do Not Order from Outside the US! I ordered, from Canada, a bra in a make and size I own and felt confident ordering in another colour, but it didn't fit. No problem, I thought, they guarantee satisfaction with a full refund. In the fine print, however, is the fact that YOU, the consumer, must pay a $50 customs fee on any returns. Last time I will order from them.

Ordered two bras worth $75. They were never delivered. Almost 2 weeks after ordering still nothing. Turns out they ended up at a post office no where near my apartment that does not deliver to my address. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could - I would have to visit this far away post office. I live in Brooklyn and do not have a car and the post office is completely inaccessible to me. When I told them I wanted a refund, as I was guaranteed 2-day delivery to my apartment, the person I was speaking with informed me that she was not authorized to give refunds and that I would have to call back in several days to talk to “the other” customer service to see if they could help me. Needless to say I will never order from this company again. They have terrible customer service and I feel like they completely ripped me off.

I was really frustrated with their return policy. I've ordered from them several times in the past but it had always been brands I was sure of the fit in. I decided to order a different brand from them and even checked their return policy to make sure that I wasn't going to end up stuck with paying return fees. The policies says you won't be charged return shipping if you do an exchange. However, you cannot use promotions (including current sales if not in effect when your return reaches them) for the exchange (including if you used a discount in the first place). The parenthetical information comes from a phone call with one of their customer service representatives. As such, I got stuck paying their $6.95 fee. I'll probably order from them again, but won't be trying new brands with them. Really disappointed because I was pretty happy with them before this experience.

I ordered the women’s tasman ugg slipper. I am sad to say I’m disappointed because the line sewing around the ankle part is coming un done. Also the surface of the shoe looks worn out but you guys will see they were never worn because the stickers are even still on the bottom. I will be returning these for my money back

I shopped for a certain bra on their site but didn't buy it. Then, I kept getting banner ads from Bare Necessities advertising that same bra at 54% off, so great! I'll give it a try. I'll buy one. The problem is that when I clicked on the banner ad to buy the bra advertised at their sale price, it came up full price when I went to check out. This happened 3 times. Finally, I called, and customer service told me that they are not responsible for the prices presented in their ads, so the price shown at checkout is the actual price. Come again? I argued a little bit, then just gave up and said never mind. What a waste of time and energy.
